FAQ
Does OutdoorCam connect to eufy HomeBase?
No, it is not compatible with eufy HomeBase.
What can I do if the 20 ft cable is too short?
We recommend an extension of the AC (alternating current) terminal instead of using a USB extension. Long USB cables suffer voltage reduction which would cause device malfunction.
Is the MicroUSB connection and the adapter waterproof?
The MicroUSB connection part is equipped with a waterproof silicon cover, while the adapter is not. Please use it with a waterproof cover if plugging it in outdoors.
What storage and recording methods are supported?
microSD card storage with 24/7 and clip recording, cloud storage with clip recording and NAS (RTSP) with 24/7 and clip recording. With microSD cards, the camera can record offline and the recordings will auto-sync when connected to a network and can be watched in the app.
How does the spotlight work?
The spotlight can be set to turn on via a schedule, or triggered by motion or noise. Full color night vision is only supported when the spotlights are on, otherwise it will be IR night vision.
What recording lengths can microSD cards store?
Under 2K recording (clip recording), 32GB can record for 60 hours; 64GB, 120 hours; and 128GB, 240 hours.
Under 1080p recording (clip recording / 24/7 recording), 32GB can record for 72 hours; 64GB, 144 hours; and 128GB, 288 hours.
How do I choose between a battery camera (eg. eufyCam2) and a wired camera? What are the differences?
Battery cameras are more flexible, without the limitations of cables and power sockets, although they need to be charged and only support clip-recording. Wired cameras support both 24/7 recording (when using local storage) and clip recording (with a 4s pre-buffer).

Very easy to use. Good quality and works well with my eufy ecosystem
After not being impressed with the Circle View camera, I bit the bullet and bought this one. I needn’t have worried. It was so simple to set up, and then change the settings to my own preference’s too.
I have it at 2K, and high, for playback, but even at 1080, the picture quality is excellent. The field of view is a bit fisheye-ish, but certainly covers a good area.
The only thing I have noticed, is that the live feed seems to be a few seconds behind the actual event.
All in all, very pleased and impressed.
Brilliant camera for the price and the fact there’s no monthly subscription/fee is even better. I swapped the 32Gb memory card out for a 128Gb it now records 24/7 for about 10 days.
Very easy to set up. Great image quality for such a small camera. Mounting on an outside wall was really simple.
I have place mine on the soffit of my 2 storey house to cover the front door and cars. The resolution is fantastic compared to my other make. I had a power socket in the attic and managed to feed the cable out using a piece of wire and tape. Now I don’t have to take it down to recharge like my last one. The small light is bright at night. I even managed to easily down load a clip onto my phone to save. I wish they were back in stock at the discount price as I would like one for the rear garden. Well worth the money.
Amazing product. Very easy to install and use and the picture quality is excelle
I have a number of these cameras and can not recommend them enough they are fantastic for the money easy to fit and set up fantastic produc
I will be sticking with Eufy for all of my camera needs. My first camera was an iegeek camera. This camera and app are much better. Motion detection works while recording 24/7 using sd card. The app allows you to see the detection moments in the 24 hr period. Fantastic. I would wait for the price to drop as I did and bought it for 70.
Good field of view, 24/7 recording, accessible from your phone or on you PC with an android emulator (Bluestacks). We also paid for the app, online storage and notifications is 20 ish a year per camera and stores 30 days worth of alerts., which isn’t required for this model but saves you having to check all the time.
I was looking for a simple outdoor camera with storage that didn’t involve a monthly subscription with a good real world picture quality. I searched all the websites and watched hours of YouTube videos and came across the Eufy Outdoor Cam C24.
The installation process is a doddle and the app is simple to use. The picture quality both in daylight and at night with the night vision is more than acceptable at the range I’m using it at, around 10 metres.
In conclusion, the camera meets my expectations, was easy to install and setup, covers our three cars parked on our drive with a clear image and best of all it was well under 100
I have been using a 1080p Samsung camera for the last 3 years so thought it was good idea to upgrade. I first bought two and was so impressed I bought another two a month later.
Setup is an absolute breeze the easiest I have ever used, the app is really impressive and has so many tune able settings. I particularly like the fact that if I’m in the garden I can snooze it to stop getting notifications knowing it will re-arm after a set time.
Very easy to fit just one hole for the bracket as the camera is fixed magnetically to the bracket.
Image quality is superb especially the infa red night vision and you can even get colored night view with the led light activated. It is possible to talk through the camera however I did find there was a little lag during playback but only with sound. I also liked that it came with an SD card and there is the option to FF or RWD to any part of the recording up to the maximum the card will hold.
Got to say for the money very impressed, far better than my buggy Samsung glad I upgraded.
Very happy with this camera a couple of days in. Currently using as a 24hour set up with a 128GB micro SD card, recording in 2k. So far working flawlessly. Notifications are instant, much quicker than my Homekit cameras. I have spotted the odd notification of person detection, slightly outside of the zone, but nothing frustrating, and can adjust accordingly.
Night vision is fantastic, especially if there is light around from street lights etc. The spotlight itself is automated based on motion within the zone; although not the brightest light and it’s incredible that it really does put the video in color.
The alarm is loud enough, although will probably never use it.
The microphone 2 way talk is slightly slower than my Circle View camera but will not really use this feature on this particular camera location.
So far very very happy with the purchase. if this could link up with HomeKit it would be great, but to be fair, it would lose it’s 24*7 recording and 2k quality with Homekit. So really it’s perfect for what it is.
Great little camera, the night vision is brilliant even better when the spotlight is on, it gives me colour. The picture quality is really good. I would definitely recommend the solocam C24.
Got them for security but also to keep an eye on my dog and new puppy….Easy installation, great quality. Easy to link to my app and watch on WiFi and 4g. Also got the indoor camera and work perfectly togethe
We’ve brought this to keep an eye on our cats, it’s perfect and easy to instal. The app is great, you have the option to control the spotlight which was a big thing for me.
This is a real review.
Fantastic security camera and once set up it’s easy to customise the settings via the well designed app.
Night vision is very good
The intruder alarm is loud
The speaker is good to hear what’s said outside and for the owner to tell any unwanted people/person to piss of your land
The picture quality is fantastic. 2k
The app allows you to cut, record certain parts of the looped recordings. For example once the camera picks up a movement from a person it’ll start recording for around 30-40 seconds then record another 30-40 seconds on a separate alert. Giving the user freedom to share with others or cut the footage at any given point.
The light is turned in via the app and bright enough to light up the area intended for.
I’ve bought the Eufy C22 which is the 1080p version for the back garden.
