Brilliant camera, very neat in size, easy to put up with template included. Very good motion detection all round a brilliant camera that is well made, looks good and easy to set up
Arrived promptly, has a quality feel, very easy to install and set up, however people are not detected until quite close and the picture quality at night is not good. For the money it’s excellent and for my purposes it is adequate. If you need better clarity you’ll have to pay more.
Easy to mount , set mine about 12ft high, gives a good clear view of front drive , and one at rear garden and pic quality is fine day and night. Control through app, and can adjust settings to suit. Set up detection zones and seems to adhere to setting. Plenty of inbuilt storage which you can download or save . Been installed about 6 days and used about 8% of charge with numerous triggers and live viewing, so impressed with battery life. Purchased as an offer but worth the full price in my opinion, marked down slightly as too early to judge longevy, but so far the Eufys are impressive without breaking the bank….
A fantastic product for the price and so easy to install. Like the app too.
After reading numerous reviews of different security cameras we eventually decided to purchase a standalone Eufy camera for our home security and we are so glad we did. The camera was easy to install and we have been so pleased with it that we have now purchased a second camera for a different location on our property.
I’m really pleased, especially since I bought the solar charger for it. It can be hit and miss but I don’t believe it’s the camera, I believe this issue everyone has is WiFi. Picture quality is okay, not perfect but okay. Voice recording is very clear.
The best standalone security camera on the market. Easy to install, brilliant detection, picture quality and very good night vision. Also, the app is easy to use and very responsive. If you need one, buy this one.
Bought 3 of these cameras to put around the outside of my house, they were easy to set up and install.
They work really well and have options to change sensitivity to avoid false alarms.
I would definitely recommend these
Only two weeks of use but so far I’m quite impressed by this camera. We have an internal Nest system but the new battery powered external camera from Nest turns out not to be compatible on Nest software since Goggle take over of Nest, hence if I was going to run two apps I thought I might as well look at alternatives and the Eufy camera was better value and had all we needed. Easy to install and set up, unobtrusive, image quality good (if a bit less than perfect in darkness) and after 15 days still 94% of battery life left so looks good for the quoted 200 days between charges.
The system is good in that it works well, coul be better though if it picked up motion at a further distance
Once fully charged, really easy to use. Excellent clear images once motion has been detected along with notifications. Really clear images whilst monitoring including night vision. It does have to be recharged after 120 days but still worth purchasing. Extremely happy with purchase.
Great camera. Easy installed, no cables. Battery lasts for months. Great image, remote viewing, built in alarm.
This is a great camera. The battery lasts ages, the picture quality is great and it works with Google so you can voice activate any Google screen or Chromecast. Motion detection can be set to human only so you can reduce your notifications. Also has a siren that can be activated and a press to talk function. Almost infinitely adjustable to suit your needs. Just make sure your WiFi signal is strong enough (I use a mesh system) and you will likely need more than 10meg broadband.
Great product. Very efficient and easy to install. Great picture quality and motion detectio
Easy to install, easy set up and crystal clear picture. No braine
We already had a Eufy base station with two cameras and wanted to add more to cover a room inside and the back garden. The new camera was so easy to install, just fully charged the battery, logged onto the Eufy app and clicked on add a camera and within a couple of seconds it recognised the new camera and after a few clicks we were up and running.
Easy to install the new cameras into position, just checked they were connected to the Wi-Fi and without any wires to install were up and running within minutes. So as not to drain the battery of the camera in the house can switch it off when in the house and then just switch it back on when we leave. Have a new puppy and wanted to check it was not having anxiety problems when left alone in the house could see, even with no lights on, she just went to bed and slept.
The reason for the missing star on motion detection is that it is very sensitive and picks up any movement of the smallest animals and so we are getting pinged too often.
I initially purchased the “mini-hub” Eufy, which comes with the Doorbell but is limited in scalability to two additional devices (e.g. doorbell and two cameras). However as I have been suitably impressed by the quality and ease of use of this system, I was pleased to find that I could extend my system further (without investing in a HomeBase hub) by adding this standalone device. The only thing to bear in mind is that the WiFi from this standalone device needs to extend directly to your router rather than to the Eufy mini-hub, so this may be more restrictive depending on the strength of your router WiFi. I noticed various comments about the unreliability/inconsistency of the alerts. Initially I agreed and was about to return the device — but then I realized the default setting was for Optimal Battery Life (which uses less battery power); when I switched this to Optimal Surveillance (which will use more battery power), the alerts seemed to work every time. It is odd that Eufy have this as the default setting without any caveat for this behaviour.
Camera was easy to set up and use. Picture quality is very good. I like that it has inbuilt storage for video clips so no subscription to pay.
Big brother is watching youin HD. Easy to fit and set up – good value
Can’t comment on battery life as only had it two weeks but it was very easy to instal and set the right angle for max coverage. Picture is sharp and alerts work as expected. Very good camera at a great price.
Good camera. Sometimes a time lag to receive notification, but I suspect that’s due to my WiFi or Intrrnet.
I’ve only had the camera installed for a few days, but I’ve been impressed with the quality and configurability of the device. The (iPhone) App is simple and easy to use, only complication was me setting it up on one network before taking it somewhere else to install it (needed to factory reset it – basically hold the sync button down until it beeps twice).
Installation wise was very easy as there’s a stick on guide so you can drill in the right location. Only fiddly bit on the installation was the alignment of bit that holds the ball joint on the bracket – but I was up a ladder so that might have something to do with it. Once in place and configured I’ve not had to do anything.
Wifi range is o.k., the wall construction of the house is quite thick rendering covering the 2 layers of brick work. It might struggle if there were a few more walls in the way, but for me and my house its o.k.
Battery life as you’d expect probably isn’t going to be the 4 months unless it’s in a low traffic location. After 5 days I’m down to 89%, but most of that damage was in the first couple of days with me playing around with settings. Now it’s settled (well, I’ve stopped playing with it) it’s dropping around 1% per day – which is o.k. I will order to the solar panel to go with it as the camera’s not in a location where I can easily remove it for recharging (any i’d probably forget to anyway). I probably should’ve ordered the solar panel at the same time, but wanted to check out the camera first before deciding on it.
I would recommend this system if you want a simple to use and one off payment camera. It appears to do most of the things that other cameras do (send notifications to my phone etc). This camera isn’t Apple HomeKit compatible, but grabbing my phone is probably as quick as asking siri to check the camera etc. It apparently works with google and alexa, but I don’t so I can’t comment about that.
Overall I like it and will probably get another one.
I have a few Eufy products and have always been really happy with the quality, so i decided to give this camera a shot and it’s been terrific.
I’d have given 5 stars if the storage could be upgraded, but so far, i’ve not come close to using even a tenth of the inbuilt 8G, but i am a stickler for deleting unneccessary clips.
One other thing with Eufy, the customer support is really good. I did have a small prob initially, but this was ironed out in no time and i even got a follow up email to check that everything was still as expected.
Would happily recommend.
Excellent picture quality and app is easy to use. Brilliant product which was easy to install and set up.
Like the standalone feature of not having to subscribe to keep video recordings as has 8gb built in storage. Video quality is very good with a range of nice features. i would thoroughly recommend especially at the Prime day price, a bargain.
Very easy to install and set up.
The camera is a fantastic piece of kit. You couldn’t ask for an easier way to add CCTV to your home. Charge it up, a couple of screws to attach the mount wherever you like and you’re done.
I’m sterching the motion detection to its limits a bit as the camera is mounted just under my gutters but it still works well enough to cover the whole front garden.
Still evaluating the battery life but the app allows you to customise things like video length, time between motion activation triggers, sensitivity, etc. So you’re in control of how fast you want the battery to drain really.
The app works really well, detection zones, schedules, etc. I have a few cameras and it’s easy to manage them all from my phone or tablet.
I had to contact Eufy recently and their customer service team were super helpful and really quick to respond. An update was even pushed out to fix a bug with one of the devices over the weekend!
Like the first one so much this is my second purchase. Had a few relatively cheap security cameras and managed to pick these up for 70 on prime day. Can’t fault the software or the image quality. Everything is built in, just secure it in the desired location and off you go. Set up is a breeze and the software guides you through it easily. Honestly can’t fault it. The AI identifies individuals, just works. Highly recommend.
I’ve had my solocam for around a week now and I am highly impressed with the features and quality of the camera and its recordings.
Once detection kicks in within the marked out boundary the recording starts and notification is sent to your android device. You can then choose to watch the video or go to the live stream. Options to talk back are available or take a screenshot or record.
I think for the price you can’t get better and your buying the quality you expect from Anker & Eufy.
All videos are stored on the device and can be seen in the app.
I had a slight problem with a stuck update but this was resolved quickly through support.
Buy with confidence and you won’t be disappointed for the price.
EDIT. HAD TO CHANGE TO 1 STAR. THE MOTION DETECTION HAS BEEN COMPLETELY BROKEN BY THE LATEST FIRMWARE UPDATE. SO DISAPPOINTED AS IT WORKED PERFECTLY BEFORE THE UPDATE, LOTS OF OTHER USERS ON THEIR COMMUNITY FORUM SAYING THE SAME. ID HOLD OFF BUYING FOR NOW.
Edit 2… After a week of back and forth with Eufy a firmware update has now been released that appears to have fixed the problem and recording of events has started again.
