Makes suck clean and spot on holes didn’t think that it was going to be as good as it was. Also comes in case and lots of extras very happy
Bought this to drill some holes in some RSJs it went through them like butter
What a piece of kit this is well worth buying one
Drill is fine but the drill bits don’t fit in the chuck as they are too big and have to be ground down to fit !!
Wrong bits supplied ??!!
Well made and great functional performance. Value for money. Substantial hard case for transport and storage.
A variable speed would have been a good option and the manufacture should consider producing one.
Amazing product pierced metal with ease as cheese. I am very pleased with my purchase.
I have drilled thousands and thousands of holes with various makes of Mag Drill.
This is the first time I’ve actually bought one for myself, i chose this make because I have used Evolution drills before. I give this product absolute 5 stars and I particularly like the quick release height adjustment on the drill motor as I’ve not seen this before.
I’ve drilled more than 50 holes today with it and it performs perfectly, also very pleased with the price I paid.
Drilling large-ish holes in RSJ beams using hand-held or bench mounted drills is tricky. This is ideal. The evolution power magnetic drill has worked well so far. I cannot say anything about it’s longevity since I have only drilled 40 or so holes with it, but I have no criticism of it’s design. The magnetic grip is good, the switches are positive, the wiring is well protected. I could not use the drill guard owing to the style of work. There is no movement of the chuck relative to the body – all seems tight and sturdy. I will eventually use it as a bench drill with a slab of steel to locate it on the workpiece. The only disadvantage I see with that is that the speed of rotation is ideal for larger holes in steel rather than small drill bits. On the other hand, that is what it is designed for.
