Cuts Cooler
When cutting metals, Evolution blades leave an instantly workable finish and produce virtually no heat, burrs or sparks. This allows the material cut to be handled quickly instead of having to wait for the metal to cool down, as required with abrasives.
The Cutting Edge
With this accessory, Evolution saws are the complete cutting package. Suitable for fine wood working performances in applications such as crown mouldings, picture framing, furniture making and cutting veneer and laminated pieces.
Available separately from Amazon.
Cuts Safer
Abrasive blades can create excessive dust, fumes, smoke, fire and can even explode. Evolution blades produce very few sparks, create little heat and are an overall safer alternative to abrasives.

For what I’ll use it for and the coat, it’s a solid piece of equipment. First off, as a miter saw it has another power switch. It’s a combination saw and switching between the two is a bit of a farce. The teeth for the angle are not accurate and for crisp angles you’ll have to fine tune things with a set square and most likely a digital level for the vertical axis. The guide for cutting on the table saw needs to be clamped to stop thin pieces of work sliding under it, and attention paid to keeping your work tight to the guide. I recommend using some scrap material to get a feel for it. The table saw is simple on/off and quite loud, whereas the mitre has a variable switch and is only as loud as your work necessitates. Out of the box the vertical locking nut was loose and I wondered if I broke it getting it out, and the guide for the mitre also loose leading to a few off square cuts. A design flaw, perhaps, as the offending bolt is partially blocked by the guide, so check all of the bolts before you begin. If you have the room and the budget for one of each, I’d go that way, but worthwhile all the same.
What I liked about this item was: size – it was small enough for my garage workshop, multi use – brilliant for small projects, but not suitable for larger projects, Ease of use – once you have Read the manual carefully. Accuracy – once you have set the measurements and aligned everything correctly.
What I disliked about this item: There is a steep learning curve from using the manual, it is not intuitive regarding use, company should put up detailed video in basic use of the tool as well as maximum size measurements of materials on intro video and manual. I think most of the negative reviews are either people who have not read the manual thoroughly and then proceeded to break the item, or have not done their research to see if the item is suitable for their use case scenario.
What could be improved or nice to have: Emergency stop button, I had to wire in one , a possible to make removing saw guard and easier. And the miter saw guard is going to break one day when dropped, have on website that specific part to get quick replacement or upload a 3d printed plan.
Overall: Nice bit of kit if you have no space for table saw and miter saw. It take up small space and dose the job for hobbyist diy’er. ** check the cutting measurements before buying **
Nice little table saw. But the tale was to small. I purchased this table saw for a laminate flooring job, just like he’s showing in the advert pictures. But the laminate flooring I was using was 155mm wide and the saw only stretched to 145mm wide. I managed to bypas this problem and dismantle the fence and used clamps to clamp it right at the very end and gained the extra width I needed to trim the flooring. It would be fantastic if it came with a table width extender even just 100mm more would open this tool up to a lot more jobs.
As it is great for small hobby tasks picture frames ect.
It took about three minutes to unpack and set up, absolute doddle to change between chop-saw and table saw modes so long as you follow the little guide on the top-plate of the machine. (takes about 40 seconds) I tried the table-saw first on some rescued fence-pailings which are mixed woods, spruce, elm, oak, and some I can’t even identify, in each case the table-saw cut very straight and very smoothly, with no break-out and was able to cut millimetre-thin slices from the edge of the 3 cm thick pieces. Converting to chop-saw took only a few seconds and setting a 45 degree mitre angle was very easy. The one issue is that having cut the 45 degree joints for a picture-frame, the assembled piece shows that the angle must be very slightly out, I’ll have to work out why, as I checked the blade to the guide and it was showing true. All in all a very handy item for small projects, razor-sharp cuts, very easy to use, and unlike many table-saws, the guard seems very well designed and ‘safe’ to use with care. It also comes with a push-stick handily stored at the front of the machine and always ready to use if needed. Easily exceeded all expectations.
Used this to scratch build a bin shed (couldn’t get a pre-fab with the dimensions I needed).
It is absolutely superb for DIY jobs like this, and you only have to store one quite cleverly packaged tool, rather than two very bulky ones.
What’s great about it: once you’ve got the hang of it (and you do have to do the steps in the exact sequence shown on the sticker on the top), you can swap between modes in seconds.
The blade’s a joy, it goes through wood smoothly, and I’ve cut thin steel plate and aluminium pipes as well with it, no trouble at all.
It’s pretty light for what it is and packs away in a relatively small box, with plenty of guides / clamps etc.
The mitre saw functionality is great, provided you can live without a slide. I found longer cuts on the table worked brilliantly in terms of smoothly getting through the material, but keeping them precise with the guide provided can be a bit trickier (or I’m rubbish at using the thing!).
Two things they could do to improve the next model:
1. It doesn’t fit their own mitre stand properly. You can only get two of the four wing nuts in, it is possible to get it stable, but it would be far better if they reconfigured the base to be a standard fit.
2. The guide for the table saw would, ideally, be a bit bigger and more robust.
One observation, particularly for metal: it doesn’t spark anywhere near as much as an angle grinder (and it does cut a lot cleaner and quicker), but you still definitely need safety goggles: cuttings do still get spat out once in a while, as with any powered saw!
Overall, it’s brilliant, I’m delighted with it, but that’s not to say there aren’t one or two bits that could still be improved.
Compact saw with dual function. Will not replace my larger evolution dual mitre saw but this will fit onto my purpose built hence without taking too much space and will be handy for those small jobs. Shame it isn’t a sliding mitre saw but then it would require more space. Does what I need preparing materials for CNC and laser cutting printing.
Great for everything really. Blade is sharp.
I’ve made decking and a hot tub surround hung blinds up and made a box from mdf to hide plumbing. Was cheap in comparison and works a treat. Leave a clear cut. Would recommend
I brought it primarily to cut smaller pieces of wood as I have a larger and more powerful Makita. However, any electricians or plumbers know what unistrut is and this cuts through it better than a chop saw which I also have. Outstanding machine especially for the price.
Used this 3 times now. It’s a lot of fun and really good all round. The mitre saw is accurate and easy to set up, I cut spindles and they are all accurate
The table saw is a doddle to use. The guide could be a little longer but it’s reasonably accurate.
Most importantly for someone doing DIY with limited space is that it fits back in the box easily for storage.
I would recommend this product.
Great bit of kit, chop sawing is fantastic and mitres are great, my only criticism would be don’t use it to cut as a table saw on anything more than about 18″ square, it’s a devil to use free hand, ripping using the rip fence is fantastic but limits the width of timber you can cut.
This saw is an update of a previous saw made by Powercraft that I purchased from QVC over 20 years ago. Apart from changing the blade that saw gave me 20 years of service until the motor failed. That saw was only designed for wood. This saw now has a slow start motor, and a multi material blade ( wood , metal and plastic) I have used this so far to cut 2 inch angle iron and the saw sliced through it no problem. It is very portable and is easy to convert between table saw or chop/ mitre saw. The saw can also accommodate compound mitre cuts. For those reviewers who say it’s difficult to change between functions the steps are as follows 1 undo table height adjustment ( left hand side under table) 2 raise table and lock height adjuster 3 pull locking pin ( front RHS) then 4 push mitre lock on the handle and raise saw, 5 remove blade guard and use saw. To convert back to table saw is the reverse takes about 5 seconds thoroughly pleased with this update of an old reliable tool that gave many years of service ( don’t know if powercraft evolved into evolution or if evolution bought Powercraft or the saw design) but a great tool has definitely been made better. I also have had a rage ||| for over 10 years and love it.
Top quality products so easy to use I love i
Ideal for diy, compact chop saw and table saw. Remarkable value and accurately described.
Changing from chop saw to table top is a little bit confusing, other than that bril.
A muli use saw exactly what I wanted at a good price.
It was good for sawing wood to width and also length using th chop saw facility
Easy to setup. Excellent value for money and easy to use.
Great machine apart from the rip fence which is not flat with the table which is ok for thicker cuts but for something less than ” slides under the fence.
Mainly used as a table saw for flooring. Used it a lot over the last 9 years or so and still the original blade. Laid countless floors in multiple houses. – solid 150+ year old oak and pine as well as modern day laminates. Also great for pipe cutting (metal and plastic) including soil pipes. At times I use it without the guard which makes it immensely more versatile – this is against all good practices and not at all recommended. The no volt switch is the only thing that has played up in recent times (about 27 to replace). Other than that I really like the small size (easy to move around the work area) and rubber feet (no marks left on your nice new floors). As a mitre saw – no idea, never needed to use it that way. Would I buy a similar product that was just a table saw? No – the closest in size (made by a competitor) is a pain to assemble and set up (read the more honest reviews), doesn’t cut true, is larger framed (not great quality steel), comes with a stand that you don’t need for flooring, and without the stand the ‘legs’ would scrape the floor. No small table saw is going to be perfect for everyone but this is as close as it comes for me. My other table saw is a beast and although portable is about 6 times larger and 12 times heavier and doesn’t cut as well as this little wonder.
Excellent product and does work well, slightly fiddly to change from each setting and I was worried I’d damaged it a couple of times trying to change from the table saw setting but luckily haven’t.
Plenty of angle and pitch settings meaning you can make most cuts you will ever need to do, been a breeze fitting skirting boards into my house using this product the cut all the pieces.
I would say the limitations of a stationary blade to mean that your unable to cut wider pieces of material. I will be having to look at a pull out version to help me to decking boards and wood of similar sizes.
Very good idea handy to have both saws at your fingertips but they’ve compromised a little to get both to work. Would suit small jobs but nothing big. Plastic parts a little flimsy.
What a Genius design; since I bought my crosscut Mitre Saw, I thought, why on Earth won’t it rip-saw. Why are they all indistinguishable? Carrying your tools to and from sites is not easy Evolution has created a time and space saver.
Good value for money! Nice clean cuts.
Was idea for revamping my porch.
An excellent product for the money but be aware of limitations.
It easily swaps from chop saw to table saw and both work very well.
However, as I have used it more and tried to get the most out of it there are limitations. I mounted it on a bench at two levels for both saws. The table saw is not flat and has a bit of spring. Not a problem but the saw blade isn’t able to change height without having it at an angle.
Cutting an 18mm length of chipboard with the fence keeps jamming as the blade flexes by a couple of millimetres. The blade should be just over the height of the wood but still tricky to cut without jamming. Plus the fence only does 14cm.
Accuracy is the biggest issue so takes setting up and checking but for the price it’s still a great starter saw.
This a great tool. My first Evolution product. Well made. Ideal for light to medium cutting. Ideal for people starting DIY. Ideal for DIYer and hobbyist. Cuts well. Accuracy fairly good. Ideal for picture framers and light Diy projects. Good safety features. I would highly recommend.
Amazing piece of kit not the strongest constructed materials, but at the reduced price I paid it’s worth every penny
An excellent piece of kit. Would recommend some for of bench extension to make material handling safer.
Brilliant tool, only lil bit is the side screw can easily come off
Mitre and table combined for great price to do domestic jobs. Highly recommend.
Excellent, easy to use and set up. Should have purchased one earlier. I’ve cut wood and metal without issue.
For what you pay it’s a bargain I had to take the safety cover off the top as it cant cut thick pieces, it’s better suited for smaller jobs but no complaints at all, does the job, cuts line up great.
used for building camper van units
table saw part was small
I was looking for a table saw, and saw this gem. I already own 2 evolution mitre saws, one small and one larger. This was a no brainer buying this one. I know the quality of the blade, and the cutting accuracy. Once set up, it did the perfect cuts for me. This is a first for me, I know it won’t be the last. Very very happy with this product.
This is a great all round miter saw but useless as a table saw cutting though wood more than the 3.5mm depth, has great power to cut through hard woods such as oak etc.
This would benefit from a larger blade and table then this would be a great all round 2 in 1 saw for home and professional use the 210mm blade is too small for deep cuts in large wood pieces. Dust port is not 32mm for use on Henry vacuums even with adapter if you need a vacuum for your use you must find one suitable
Bought for husband absolutely loves it. Slight problem at beginning but was sorted straight away
This was a present but have been told this is excella
We got this Multipurpose Table/Mitre Saw to help with our panelling work in our Living room. It has been such a game changer for us. The cutting precision really blew us away and made fast work with cutting MDF lengths and quick mitre edges. Smaller then I imagined it would be, it is pretty neat and tidy, it’s size should help people with limited storage. Great piece of kit for us, and I can now see us tackling more DIY ourselves.
This is fantastic, cuts wood beautifully, easy to use and the quality is superb. I would recommend this to any one especially as I research this product before hand which came out the best and I can personally understand why the score was always high.
Easy to store away. Can’t recommend this high enough. See it buy it.
Fantastic little saw. My only gripe is would be great if they did a big brother. Simple and easy to use
Great little product for a compact workshop, some other reviews argue about it not cutting straight and I have seen how and have had it happens with the guides etc. But that is down to the type of saw you need, if your woodwork needs absolute precision then you will have to pay for professional products. If however you are like me and are more of a “hobbiest” then it’s something you can live with. Would recommend for anyone looking to get into woodwork but can’t have a full workshop.
Bought this for husband. Delighted he is with it!, Arrived very quickly.
Great value for money – not for heavy duty, but perfect for DIY level work. 1st job 5cm 6mm mild steel square tube to be cut… took 1 minute and left a perfect finish… Good Safety DesignToo!
First things first, make sure you are wearing EYE PROTECTION! Bits can and do fly at random trajectorys!
I purchased this to make my life easier on upcoming projects. Its a quality piece of kit featuring a tablesaw and a chop/mitre saw in one unit.
It does look a bit weird but is appealing and i like the green colouring.
Jobs jobbed:
Skirting boards…check! Chop/mitre/tablesaw
Architrave………..check! Chop/mitre/tablesaw
UPVC……………..check! Chop/mitre/tablesaw
CLS stud…………check! Chop
Random creations:
Cookbook stand…Made!(yes its pretty roughly made as you see in pic 😀 )
Cathouse………….Made!(im smugly impressed with it, even if the cat prefers a random cardboard box to it 🙁 )
Overall a worthy purchase for the small jobs and has paid for itself in time and sweat saved. Say goodbye to the old mitre block and hand saw!
I read some reviews saying the table saw doesn’t cut straight? Lift the green cover on table saw, push the guide up against the blade and tighten the adjusters, boom! now you will get a straight cut.
With all the good theres got to be something bad? Yes but this isn’t all the equipments fault, but would increase the usability alot.
1. Bevel is only to the left, while this doesn’t stop you doing the job it makes it a bit harder.
2. No sliders, which means the width of wood you can cut is limited, larger skirting is not doable, my 130mm i think it was, was right on the edge of being un doable.
3. The clamping system is terrible, the fixings slacken too easily and the clamping position often stops the movement of the saw from being able to cut right threw the piece your working on. Which means you either have to rig up a clamping system of your own or cut without the piece being clamped down with potential for injury.
A cracking little tool, big enough for most small DIY jobs about the house and extremely portable!
great little multifunctional saw, Ideal for any DIY etc.. love it.
Found the guard on top to be very limiting to what we needed it for but once “adapted” we have had no issues!
Bought as DIY tool, not sure how it would stand up to a heavy usage. Works well for me though
Didn’t really expect the table saw to be great and it wasn’t but I can see it getting you out of trouble if you only had this tool. The mitre saw is good but doesn’t cut thick chunks of wood ect. But the blade is outstanding and cut every material I pushed it though.
love it every man should have one for his man cave/shed
I did think it would be more useful but none the less I’m satisfied with how I use i
A useful, compact unit, quite well thought out, it’s served me well for my DIY projects, cutting a huge amount of replacement hardwood flooring and doorframes. Both the mitre and table saws were easy to set up, and fairly safe to use, though it did spit out a few offcuts when the pusher couldn’t be used, so you need to stay clear of the right hand side of the blade. Some care is needed to ensure the side guide remains parallel to the blade, it’s not the most robust feature of the saw, but it’s adequate, and worked well trimming up to 3 metre lengths by 1mm to around 90mm.
The mitre power switch is well-placed, but the switches for the table saw aren’t as convenient to use, being out of sight under the table. My only real complaint is that the motor now cuts out for no apparent reason when set up as a table saw, even when it’s cold, and unloaded. I suspect it may need new carbon brushes, but they seem to be totally unobtainable in the UK. I’ll probably keep it as a mitre saw, and buy a larger dedicated table saw, when I next need one. Quite possibly another from the evolution range, but only if I can source common spares.
The tabletop ‘ruler’ peeled away, too (it did get a lot of use with unplaned timber), but that was easily replaced for a few pence with another self-adhesive one from Amazon.

Great saw. Had to remove safety guard to get more acurate cuts on the table saw. Change over is easy to use. Great for laminate flooring.
All I can say is once I figured out how to put it together I am so so so happy with it and would recommend it to any one
Nice and compact and easy to use. The accuracy isn’t 100% but is fine for most jobs. The price and the size make it perfect for the home workshop. But either get a vacuum attachment or be prepared for some heavy duty sweeping when you see the volume of sawdust produced! Luckily its light enough to move it outside for most jobs.

This is an ok machine, no I would not use it in say a busy workshop, as I’d expect there to be professional machines, however for the hobbie chippy or a self employed multi tradesman this table/mitre saw from evelytion can be a useful bit of kit. I’ve seen the reviews here and it seems to be split 50/50 on this one, how and never it is what it is. You can’t go wrong on the price and you can’t blame your tools either. Like everything you have get to know a tool. I’d recommend this one defiantly.
I have had this a few months now and used it several times. It takes a couple of goes to figure out exactly how to switch between modes, but once you know how, you can do it quickly and easily.
It is compact, good value for money and the blade is good.
In mitre saw mode, be aware that the depth at which you can cut is fixed, it does not slide like other mitre saws do. Also the Table Saw safety cover is fixed, which gives you a minimum width at which you can cut, so you can’t just take a slither off the edge of a plank of wood, you got to take at least like 5-10mm off it.
I have also cut through metal with success, but beware of sparks and wear something on your eyes, as bits do fly off!
Creates alot of dust aswell, so use it outside.
I’m pretty much in agreement with Silvester, having laid 50 sq m of hardwood floor, and mitred skirting for it all, with one of these. At school, I was abysmal at woodwork, but this saw happily shaved a 1mm blade width off of the couple of pieces I mis-measured, both as a chop saw, and a bench saw. It also cut down some large pieces of panelling.
I didn’t mount mine on a bench, it sat on the floor and didn’t move despite cutting 2.2 m lengths of 22mm hardwood floorboards. However, the start/stop buttons are out of sight working like this, a small inconvenience.
The table width is an unfortunate limitation for some work, and I found the little clamp got in the way when set up for mitres, but it’s very versatile, and cut very cleanly. If I was to do this again, I’d mount it on something, and organise some clamps to use with the mitre. Holding them down with one hand is a little awkward.
It’s quite well thought-out, though I do wish the bench guide angle adjustment had been supplemented with a second clamp at the far end of the bench, perhaps with ruler lines engraved across the table. Nevertheless, the only problem I had with it was the clamp coming loose a couple of times. Lesson learned – do it up very tightly! Likewise the angle adjuster, which only needs setting once per blade.
The tape measure is now peeling off. I’ve bought a 3rd-party replacement, but could have saved myself the trouble with a spot of araldite when it first started lifting. It’s done all I needed, but I still find odd jobs for it.
Unfortunately, the motor switches off randomly now, sometimes when it’s just spinning. Perhaps it needs a good vacuum cleaning in the motor housing. If I discover the cause and a cure, I’ll post a followup.
All in all, it has done all I asked of it, very much better than I’d hoped.
For general DIY it’s a great tool, I wouldn’t use it for trade though as it’s not 100% accurate
Better than expected, for the diy jobs it’s great. Having the two saws in one is really useful.
Well 99.98, how is it so expensive here? Daylight robbery, shall be getting this from the other place me thinks!
