Casita is a range of comfortable, spacious, attractive cages for guinea-pigs and rabbits. This product line differs from the majority of other cages because of the height of its wire mesh structure, which is 20% greater, providing your pets with a very comfortable living space. Casita habitats are available in three sizes – 80, 100 and 120 – and are made in sturdy plastic with a varnished wire mesh structure. Casita has a rounded roof that can be opened. The largest model is divided into two sections, for practical reasons. All models come with accessories, including a feeder, a drinking bottle, a food bowl and a little house with a stepped wall to let your little friend climb onto it easily. The sliding door can be opened, allowing your little pet out of the cage every so often, to wander freely around the house. This is a super home for guinea pigs. It takes about 30 or so minutes to assemble and assembly is easy, but does take a little while to figure out how it all fits together. It comes with black and white assembly instructions, but the photos lack detail and I got by more by working it out than by using the instructions. The home is well designed and well thought out. I am happy that nothing is left out and attention to detail in design is excellent. When assembled the home is sturdy and robust.
Particular plus points are the large openings at the top that allow access to all areas below. This will come in handy if the guinea pigs run away to a different part of the cage when trying to pick them up.
The side opening takes a bit of effort to open so there is no danger of your pigs escaping. It also comes with a food container, water bottle, hidy hole and hay feeder.
I got the 120cm version and I am very happy with it. I can’t wait to pick up two little cavies to pop inside.
The only downside was that the price was cheaper from the online third party seller by 11.
I love this cage for my tortoises and always recommend it to people as you can remove half of the roof and this will allow you to lower a heat lamp to obtain your hot spot temperature, fixed roofs don’t allow for this. It is also very practical as lightweight and easy to clean. The 120cm is a good size fora young tortoise
Good quality cage which is a fantastic size for 2 piggies – giving them plenty of room to run and play. The addition of the ramp/elevated food area also gives them somewhere to hide. Love that the top opens, very easy for cleaning. Easy to put together as well.
This will be used to house my 6 ferrets on show days. Having a split lid really makes it easy to pock out ome at a time without hem all escaping! Could really do with 2 clips (1 on each end) as well as the 2 front and back but this is being extra picky!

This is a good cage. Easy to assemble. Looks nice. The sliding door is very tight. Top lid has two catches. Nice and secure. The bottle doesnt leak. It also comes with a plastic bowl and flimsy hay holder. Its cheaper buying it from Amazon rather than a pet shop or the Ferplast website. Really happy with it. Would recommend

Delivered in just 2 days, not the expected 7-14 so that was great! The thing is huge, and the domed top makes it look way more fashionable than other cages.
Perfect sized cage for my Netherland Dwarf rabbit. Little bit bothersome to get together initially, but sturdy and a good size.
Love this cage so spacious and luxurious for my dwarf rabbit. I feel as though I could fit another four in there. She loves running around it. I would definately reccomend this to other customers. However the waterbottle is a bit leaky, the hay feeder is very frail and broke the second I put it on and the platform is quite weak – I personally hink that it wouldnt be great at carrying a bigger rabbit. The instructions are also not very clear on how to open the hatch from the front. I found out you had to slide it. All in all great price and quality!
Lovely cages, I have two 120 casita cages and wanted a smaller version for hospital cage for guinea pig recovering from operation. IT arrived within 2 days, very nice Amazon driver, cage easy to assemble and looks really nice, loads room. My only suggestion would be to improve the packaging as it arrives literally in a large plastic bag which affords no protection at all to the cage hence understanderbly breakages will happen in transit. Happily for me my own cage arrived perfect. These cages are sturdy and easy to clean when set up

This is a really large cage with great access. We did not use the sleeping area as we thought once the Guinea pigs went in there we would not get the money out. The size is excellent and for two pigs perfect.
great cage for money. indoor cage for 1 guinea pig or 2 young guinea pigs. unfortunately bottle leaks quite a lot.
Good quality and size for 40. I wouldn’t keep my dwarves in it permanently, but it’s great for their holiday home and to bring them inside for a few hours in the winter. It’s a slippy floor for them, so needs something on it, but obviously makes for easy cleaning. My rabbits won’t stand on the shelf as its too slippy underfoot, but I don’t need to use that bit, and could just put some Back to Nature or wood shavings down if I needed it.

– La “cabane” est indispensable pour que le lapin puisse s’isoler quand il en a envie (surtout son arrive, le temps qu’il prenne confiance. mais par la suite aussi, quand il n’a pas envie d’tre drang) )
– La gamelle se pose sur un “moulage” trs pratique : elle reste bien en place.
– Le rtelier est bien grand et ne bouge pas non plus (il suffit de bien insrer le bas dans la rainure de la grille)
– Au dbut, le “biberon” tombait assez facilement. En fait, il faut le mettre en hauteur (le lapin lve la tte pour boire et du coup,il n’a plus tendance le pousser)
J’ai achet une litire en angle que j’ai mise l’oppos de la “terrasse” (qui est devenue le coin “repas” avec la gamelle et le biberon).
Il y a 3 faons d’ouvrir la cage ;
– la “porte” du lapin (si on veut qu’il vive en libert dans l’appartement, ce qui est le cas chez nous: on ouvre sa porte la journe et il va et vient entre l’appartement et sa cage, o il retourne pour manger et pour aller dans sa litire)
– Le toit qui se soulve (pour changer la litire…)
– La grille qui se retire compltement (4 petits “clapets” dverrouiller) pour le grand nettoyage de la cage.
Bref, tout est trs pratique et bien pens. Je regrette simplement qu’il n’y ait pas un systme qui maintient le toit ouvert : il faut le maintenir ouvert avec une main, pendant qu’on “dcoince” la litire avec l’autre main. Ou coincer un objet qui maintient le toit ouvert… C’est la solution que j’ai trouve…
Cette cage est parfaite pour le lapin et “presque” parfaite pour le matre ! Je la conseille vivement !

I thought this was a good product, it lasted a month or so in my house before it and the occupant ( a guinnea pig ) were given to the local pet shop.

La double ouverture (dessus et devant) et trs pratique, a ne couine pas trop. Dommage seulement que l’ouverture avant coulisse sur le cot au lieu de s’abaisser comme un pont levis, l’animal ne peut pas rentrer seul (sauf s’il saute).
Le biberon trs grand (600 ml).
On peut placer le rtelier (foin) sur le ct si on souhaite appuyer la cage contre un mur.
Astucieux : La gamelle est positionne sur un support de manire ne pas glisser.
Inconvnient : On ne peut pas ouvrir la maisonnette ou l’enlever sans lever la totalit de la cage. et donc impossible de voir l’animal quand il est dedans et difficile de le rcuprer. Du coup, on ouvre tout et il peut sauter par dessus le bord du bac…
Je suis tout de mme satisfaite de cet achat dans sa globalit car la taille est correcte (pour un lapin nain ou deux petits cochons d’inde) et le style beaucoup plus agrable que toutes ces cages simplement rectangulaires. La couleur (gris fonc mais pas noire) est passe-partout et agrable.
Elle existe aussi en 100 et 120 cm

This cage is big enough when your rabbit are babies, but would not be big enough for an adult rabbit unless it has access to a run all the time. The plastic tray is nice and deep so they can’t kick bedding everywhere and the door (both top and door in the side are very secure (it’s actually quite hard for a human to work the side door). I was impressed with all the accessories: the water bottle (although my bun couldn’t work it), the food bowl, and the hay tray. The only issue with the cage was the instructions aren’t very clear and so it took an age to put together! Excellent cage though!

The hay rack is good, although our rabbits like to pull the hay out of the rack from the top (outside the cage) which can result in a bit of a mess. Neither of them use the hideout often, but they both love to sit on the shelf and chill out. Our rabbits drink from a bowl, rather than a bottle, so by the time you have a drinking bowl, the litter tray and two rabbits in there it is quite snug – but they do choose to settle in there often.
I take the tray outside to jet wash it every so often, but wiping it over is pretty effective on a day to day basis. I would recommend this cage.
The item arrives very fast. The size is bigger than I expected (120 one). It is good enough for my 6 month old mini lop. i also put in a large corner tray, side hay basket and two toys.
Sham the door does not fit i have to use sticker to secure it when I want to keep my rabbit in,otherwise the door can only be hanged as a decoration.
When time for free run, I need to put a basket (4th pic) as footstep at outside door for easy exit.
I like the food bowl, even it is plastic.
My rabbit doesnt know how to use the water bottle, so have to use a separate bowl, sigh.
It arrived about an hour ago it has taken me about 20 mins to assemble the actual cage and now its laid up our elderly guinea pig is happily munching her greens in it i would say this is too small to be her only home but this is just her winter home she will also have access to a run indoors each day. Its easy to put together, because of previous reviews i had gone to ferplasts website to find the instructions before i purchased it but it is pretty much common sense and with every piece becomes more rigid. my favourite part has to be the lid it is practically the whole top part that lifts up so great for access cos she is a quick little bugger when she wants to be i think we will replace the water bottle as it drips A LOT and am unsure if the house part will stay in as piggy’s don’t tend to climb unless it is a small incline {which this isn’t} and if she doesn’t sleep in it we will replace it. we also have used our own hay rack as this one goes outside the cage and i didn’t want that extra mess would also recommend this cage to people with young children due to the good access from the top, it also has a sliding door on the front which would be great for a rabbit to hop in and out of but i would say this is very small for a rabbit or any more than one piggy.
please note; i am well aware guineas prefer social groups but our one was of a pair and the other sadly die rather than stress her by adding a new piggy we have kept her alone and ravished her with our attention – so i am not in need of any advice thanks

Cage spacieuse et quipe. Les petits accessoires, tant en plastique, ont certainement une dure de vie limite mais pour le prix du lot, rien dire. Le biberon goutte un peu pour ma part et le rtelier est pas top, je m’en suis dbarrasse aprs 1 mois. La structure est solide et pratique.
Le fond de la cage est quadrill (faire attention au choix de votre litire car le nettoyage doit tre difficile -> j’ai opt pour un coin litire en plastique plat, propret garantie).
L’abri l’air solide malgr le matriau (pour le moment).
L’installation de la cage est facile et rapide (sens dfini pour l’ouverture suprieure : faire attention au montage).

Quand au produit : c’est tout ce que j’attendais. Ca faisait un moment que cette cage me faisait de l’oeil (je l’avais repre en magasin o elle tait 99 euros en “promo”…), alors j’ai pas hsit, et je l’ai command ici !
La notice tait dans le colis, et elle m’a bien servie. La porte coulissante se ferme correctement (Si on monte bien la cage, y’a un petit truc sur la porte coulissante qui permet que le lapin ne l’ouvre pas tout seul). Sinon biberon et rtelier assez “bas de gamme” mais de toutes faons je mets une cuelle pour l’eau, et le rtelier on verra le temps qu’il tient. Sinon elle est super pratique avec son ouverture en “grand” sur le dessus!
Fantastic cage. I ordered this the day before Christmas Eve last year as my rabbit had completely chewed through the door of a wooden hutch I was given when I adopted him, so I originally bought this as a quick temporary fix. However this is an amazing cage, and has lasted very well against his gnawing. It was bigger than expected which was perfect, because he can stretch and binky as much as he needs to in there. The only downsides are the cage door for the rabbit to hop in and out of is very stiff to begin with, and needs a lot of opening and closing to losen it. Perfect cage for an active and larger rabbit!

I used this to house my two English Spots one is part dwarf. There is plenty of space for them to lie down stretched out and the roof means that my larger can stand on her back legs and can’t quite reach the top.
They love the hidey hole and are very happy hopping in and out of the slide door.
The lid allows for easy access to clean.
Probably not big enough for a large rabbit for main housing but does my two great!
I bought this about 4 months ago and I still think the cage is brilliant. It is also very big and makes a good little base for my rabbit. It wasn’t the easiest to set up as the instructions aren’t great but with a bit of patience it was up within half hour. The quality of the cage itself is good. The frame is sturdy and the base is quite deep. Brilliant cage.

This is fantastic really but the ‘ramp’ is too steep and scrabbly for my two guineas. They manage with a little wooden one though and everything else is great.

Lovely size cage. Bunny is very happy. When it arrived a bit of plastic had snapped off and there were some deep scratches inside the bottom part. But a lovely cage.
I bought this for my two guinea pigs to spend the night indoors when it is cold. It is of good quality, and relatively easy to assemble. If the plan is to use this as a guinea pig’s permanent home I would recommend buying a bigger cage, as it is a little small for them to run around in.

Excellent for hedgehog and very sturdy. Pleased that it can be easily accessed from the top and the side. Instructions were easy to follow if you put it together in order and look at the pictures. Noticed someone said it didnt come with instructions. They maybe didnt turn over the sheet of paper on top of the purchase which has the instructions on the other side. Only advice I would give is if you want to access the sleeping compartment easily. We look after juvenile autumn hedgehogs and need to easily access the sleeping area. Put the sleeping area in after the caged sides rather than before. I put it in and rested it on the sides and attached it to the outer cage with string. This will obviously not work with rabbits though and you may want to attach differently. Finally, although this is a fantastic cage I used to own rabbits, albeit large rabbits, and this does not have a big enough run area. I would say they still need an outdoor run with this for their own quality of life. Hedgehogs can cover miles in a night and so I am using it short term and then releasing them back into the wild.

Needed to buy a wee clip for the door as my bunny could slide it open. Once I bought that the cage is perfect.
Pretty easy to assemble. Nice size for my daughters 2 piggies.
We removed the fixed ‘house’ at the end to make cleaning out easier and used alternatives which we can just lift out. It also means we can see the piggies even when they are hiding away (not the case with the fixed house supplied. We like the dual opening top – plenty of room for access – the ‘locks’ work well. We tend not to use the front door as our cage is on a lowish surface so using the top opening is preferable.
Iv’e priced a lot of cages and some, even though they are spacious are mostly between 70..80, it’s a bit like a hotel for bunnies!

Right, apparently I’m not allowed to order things in Metric any more! I think it being in CM had be thinking this cage was going to be small and a few people said it was cramped… when it arrived I was gob smacked. Absolutely HUGE My little mini lop can get about 4 hops in before he gets to the shelf… he has space to run around… I also just realised its bigger than my sofa so I could sleep in it and I’m 5″7!

Whilst the usual high standard I expect from Ferplast, and I absolutely love the higher roof capacity, the two doors opening top roof, once opened up, do not stay up, and only go back so far, thus trying to clean the cage, the roof keeps falling on your head, it really needs some sort of mechanism to prop it back, akin to a car bonnet.

I choose the 5 star rating because it’s amazing (fast delivery and a good price!). I ordered it on the Saturday night and it came on the Tuesday, even though it said it would be delivered around Thursday / Saturday. I was very pleased with what day it came, that’s what I call fast service. My Rabbit is loving his new hutch as it’s bigger than the other one he was using. He seems very happy with the cage. Also the price was spot on! Not too expensive!

The attention to detail was further evident in the construction as well as instructions for putting it together. Everything clicks into place fitting together perfectly to make a hutch that is practical, user friendly and surprisingly aesthetically pleasing to boot! Most importantly, Timmy our Guinea seemed to feel at home immediately! (ps. Do not be put off by other reviews referring to this being too small…just order the correct size and you will not be disappointed!)
It’s easy to put together, sturdy and easy to clean. The domed roof looks attractive and gives more height for a rabbit.
If we get another rabbit, which we intend to, we will need to get another one and put them alongside, because as I said, they are definitely too small for any long period of time, but for our purpose it is just right.
It’s a quite good, quality cage. Unfortunately I made a mistake and ordered this one, instead of the size bigger for our 2 piggies.
They would be much more comfortable in a bigger one.

I am still using this cage and our two guinea pigs are now nearly 6 years old. It still makes for a useful indoor cage although many of the original accessories have long been replaced. The cage has stood up well over the years, but it has suffered some urine scald which probably could have been avoided had I used old newspapers underneath the sawdust.
In terms of dimensions, the cage is 95 cm long by 56 cm wide. The base height is 17 cm which is high enough for any sawdust to stay inside the cage rather than being kicked out and trailed all over the place. However, due to the shape of the base – wider at the top, narrower at the bottom – the actual space for the guinea pigs is closer to 85 cm by just under 50 cm. That’s fine for baby pigs but not so good for fully grown ones. I only use the cage in the winter when they’re indoors, for the summer months I also have more spacious outdoor wooden hut in the garden.

I purchased this cage for my daugther’s two baby guinea pigs, it’s a good size and it’s great that it came with a number of accessories like a hay rack, water bottle, feeding bowl and a plastic house for them to hide in. It makes for a good starter kit and was easily assembled.
We have since removed the plastic house though as plastic tends to keep moisture in (which isn’t good), and also because it sits underneath the cage wiring which makes it tricky to take out. Better replacing this with a wooden shelter / house as this will also give them something to gnaw on.
I’ve paid 49.99 for this item which I thought was a decent price considering it was free delivery also. Would recommend.
