Great fan with long lasting battery BUT 2 of 3 of the flexible tripod arms have broken off at the joints so now rendered useless to us. Had the fan for 6 months. Such a shame and poor quality.

UPDATE > Since posting this review the seller was in contact and offered to send a new replacement fan free of charge. I was most impressed with their communication and promptness to replace the broken fan. I’ve added another star to my review for this but not a 5 star due to the initial fault. Overall though I’m very happy with the fan and would purchase again.

Great little fan for the back of car during the hot summer.
Very long lasting battery wise and with a low noise not distracting and doesn’t freak out the dog.

Also used a few times at home during the hot weather.

I got this item to travel to Mexico with a baby. Unfortunately we are on day 9 of our holiday, so have been using it for 9 days total, and one of the legs has snapped off. We have moved the fan from the stroller where it has pretty much remained most of the holiday, on 2 occasions.

The fan itself has been a lifesaver for the baby in the heat, and overall the fan is good. Very disappointed the leg has broken off, and il be requesting a replacement in hopes it won’t happen again.

I will update the review once sorted.

I love it but it has broke

It’s a great little fan that can be attached to a stroller on the go. Lasts a good number of hours on full charge.

Very versatile. Fully charged, the battery lasts for hours. Gave one to my dad for Father’s Day and he loves it.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersI was torn between two of the most common fans on Amazon, both almost completely different (See the 1st photo for the types I mean). I chose the one in this listing (I’ll refer to as “this fan”, then when I was initially unhappy with it I ordered the other one (“the clip fan”) so I could compare side by side as I preferred the concept of that one. With both in hand I was entirely wrong, here’s why.

    PROS:
    – This fan has an immense 10000Mah battery compared with little more than half in the clip fan. No idea how long it lasts because I don’t have to patience to drain it to find out, but I’ve suited myself over this heatwave for a few days charging when was convenient and I’ve not reached the bottom so far.
    – Most fans seem to be about to export power from the battery, but at that size this fan isn’t just an emergency backup for a dead phone, it’s a genuine power bank.
    – This fan has USB-C charging, something I couldn’t really find in cheaper models at all. Easier to use, more robust, USB-Micro is already comfortably on its way out and I strongly dislike buying dated technology in new products.
    – This fan is quiet. Size is a direct trade-off, the smaller you go the faster the fan has to work to produce the same air movement and the faster it goes the more noise it makes. The clip fan is smaller and doesn’t power in notches, you turn the dial and get exactly where it’s set. This is good in that you can be very quiet by turning it low, but because the air movement is so low you gain nothing by doing so. Matching air movement between the two fans as best I could, the noise was roughly equal except for at the highest speed where the clip fan was noticeably louder by neccessity of being smaller. I don’t mind this fan only having three speeds but it does eliminate the almost-totally-silent option if you *really* needed one. I don’t think you do.
    – The tripod is much more practical than the clip. I absolutely wanted the clip because it was more compact and seemed more practical. On my bedside table is a draw handle knob maybe an inch+ in diameter which I wanted to put it on. However, the clip doesn’t open very wide for it’s size, it didn’t fit on and makes it a lot less useful than I imagined. A tripod leg, incidentally, wrapped around the narrower inner side of the drawer knob just fine.
    – The tripod legs come off! (See the 2nd photo) This is so great it’s a separate Pro point. Unscrew the screw attaching the tripod to the fan, unscrew the three screws you can now see, then slide the legs out sideways and put it all back together. As long as your surface is level the flat circle minus legs works perfectly fine as a stand even on full power, with zero vibration noise. This means that my only real complaint, the lack of compactness, is moot! It’s barely any bigger than the fan casing and actually smaller than the clip fan because the clip is part of the body moulding and unremovable! Not only that, the screw allows me to potentially attached a hook for hanging from the ceiling or clip/fixing of my own that functions better than what I was chasing the clip fan for.
    – I don’t miss the oscillation in the clip fan. This was the other big feature I was tempted by, when the clip fan arrived I changed my mind. The internals that set the range and direction of oscillation limits your ability to point the fan and you don’t get the 360 by 360 degree movement. Also, you can sort of oscillate this one! Check out the video at the end, with the legs removed per the instructions in the previous point, if you find the right angle to brace it and turn the speed to full power it will slowly travel in a circle without making additional noise. Be warned that the surface must be quite level or it’ll wander off down the slope, but I’ve had it turning circles on my my hard floor quite happily and silently. Quite an unexpected bonus.
    – No natural wind function. Yeah really, it’s a Pro. The clip fan has a natural wind function that you’ll find some have, but they didn’t even attempt to make it work properly. It cycles through the speeds every few seconds. That’s it, and it’s incredibly annoying. No natural wind button, one less useless thing to go wrong.
    – Great name! Well, not really, SELECTED FAN is a slightly odd choice but it’s a lot better than the weird anonymous names that crop up on Amazon all the time so if I’ve got to stare at one I’m glad it’s something like this.

    CONS:
    – It’s hard to make compact use of the the tripod without removing it entirely.
    – It’s generally 25%+ more expensive. At the time of writing this is around 25, which was way more than I wanted to spend on a battery fan. I do find it worth the money however, and I’ve more or less had it running since it arrived, getting more use out of it than I though. It is currently a heatwave, of course. 🙂
    – The “On” light is at the back. This is more of a theoretical Con, because the clip fan has a bright blue LED shining on the front when powered, as low-end gadgets seem hellbent on irritating absolutely everybody with, and between the two I’m far happier that this fan has nothing at all. But I must admit that when this fan was the lowest setting in a far corner I have forgotten once or twice that it’s on, so a middle ground would perhaps have been nice. It does shine a blue LED on the back, indeed it has three separate ones corresponding to the current power setting, but even in pitch black shining against a wall I doubt you’d see, making me wonder what the point was.
    – No physical On/Off switch. Again, more of a theoretical Con because I didn’t see any battery fans like this. But if it had an I/O physical switch that I could leave in the ON position, leave plugged into the mains, and turn the fan on/off with a smart plug rather than having to press the buttons on the back, I’d have appreciated it.

No real complaints, no regrets, and the alternative fan I originally wanted fell far short of this one. As long as it lasts this is exactly what I would have wanted. And if it doesn’t last there’ll be a note here to say so.

    /a

Absolutely love it. It was perfect for my twins in the 34 degree heat. Kept them nice and cool
