Previously my favourite RPG was xenoblade chronicles but this one beats it, for graphics, and great combat.
I never played the original one, I started with number 8 back in the day, never got around 7 due to poor graphics.
I am impressed now, graphics are amazing, loadings are super fast, upgrades are well done, lot of variety of stuff, game is not as linear as previous final fantasy games, the world itself is well thought out, performance is so smooth and fast, and the game is full of details such as that I stop just to hear people conversations.
I barely started and I am already looking forward to part 2.
Second best game on PS5 after Death Stranding for me.
I was super excited for this game after getting the platinum for XV. I had never played the original but since this game was on offer I decided to jump on it and I’m really glad I did. It’s such an amazing game.
I never played FFVII, but this is truly excellent. One of the best games I’ve ever played.
I bought this item for EUR 49.05 and was actually confused with the attached product images. There are a mix of scenes from FF7 Remake Original and Integrate. It turns out that it provides you both games as it’s impossible to play Integrate unless you have completed the Original. Or at least this was the case with me when I tried.
I played the original FF7 Remake on PS4 and transferring the save data was a pain. I eventually managed but then I forgot to redeem the DLC code of my pre-order of cactuar Summoning Materia. When I got to it, it was downloaded under the PS4 game and not the PS5, so that is useless once you transfer the save over from PS4 to PS5. Especially if you have progressed in the game like I did!
I tried to contact customer service from where I bought it but it does not even give this as an option here, thus why -1 Star.
I am a huge FF7 fan but things like this add to a negative experience.
Half waybthrough the game. Improved graphics are amazing and game is very fluid with interesting and sometimes amusing plots and scenes
An brilliant game that any FF fan needs to play. You will get plenty of gaming hours out of it if you want to see and do everything. It is a definite must buy.
This was my favourite game as a child and still is even now 20 years on. The gameplay, fighting, story is as great as ever. Just a shame it’s split up into chapters! It’s a must play for any gamer let alone fans of ff
Can look amazing (big upgrade from the PS4 version)
Soundtrack for the most part (some of the reworked music is great).
Includes the dlc, and you can transfer your save from PS4.
The changes made to Wall Market were needed and are most welcome .
Combat is rewarding (hard mode- no item usage -is a satisfying challenge).
I liked the direction they took the story (lots of possibilities for the next installment).
Boss and summon battles are intense! (Like you could only imagine in the original).
Negatives
Even on ps5 some textures/backgrounds look like they are from a ps3 game.
The robot hand puzzle section/extended sewer section/train graveyard – just there to pad out the games run time, jeez!
Loading Screens straight out of the early 2010’s.
Anime grunting in place of dialogue.
Running down long paths from one enounter/quest hub to another can be tedious.
Having to hold to open a door is a bit old hat in 2021.
Thought FF7RI for 45 on Amazon was shady but shouldn’t have doubted it as it was brand new with the additional Yuffie DLC. Worth every penny but not 70 lol.
The visuals and voice work are simply brilliant. The cast of FF7 is one of the best in the gaming world, and their portrayal in this game is the best we’ve been treated to.
The PS5 version has a performance mode that runs in 60FPS without sacrificing the graphical effects and improvements to textures, lighting and particles. A joy to play.
The PS5 version also features the additional story chapters that introduce Yuffie – another classic character. Be wary not to buy a used copy of the game as you won’t get the additional DLC content that is linked to a one-time use code.
This is a must play for fans of the genre and Final Fantasy, young and old, new or returning. Treat yourself!
