Have had plastic hose reels in the past and they just go brittle over time. This one was easy to assemble, is easy to use and quite lightweight.
There were a number of comments about the wall hanging brackets being a bit rubbish. I do not believe this is designed to be used when hung on the wall. The wall hanging is just for storage when not in use.
I like this and would recommend.
The hose reel appears to be really solidly made using corrosion resistant materials. My only criticism (similar to other reviews I read prior to purchasing) is that the wall bracket fixings aren’t as good quality as the reel itself. Despite this I still think it’s excellent value for money, I couldn’t find a comparable reel as good for a similar price. I’ve only used it a few times but see no reason to expect any problems with it in the future.

Really pleased with my Flopro hose reel. Storing my flopro hose was difficult and unsightly and this has been a great purchase really pleased with the quality and ease of use.

Found the Flopro here and its all-metal construction had me convinced it would be a better option. The Reviews here said the wall brackets are the thing that let’s this down and agree they’re the only parts that look like they may not last. Another aspect of complaint was that the reel bounces on the wall when winding due to it only coming with brackets to secure the top, so I measured the offset and purchased a set of 25mm stainless steel saddle clamps which are now used to secure both the top and bottom bar so it’s rock solid on the wall now.
I went full hog and used brass fittings, silicone greased the o-rings and fitted a lever type tap plus a decent spray nozzle. Our hose is now so quick easy and clean to use. Not the cheapest solution,
but hope it will last and what a pleasure to use compared to old setup. See photos for saddle clamp brackets for wall mount.
It is sturdy, good looking and does the job. Form and function, what more can one ask for. I think this is good value, might be more expensive than some others but in the long run it’ll outlast them.

Much better than plastic reels. I used stainless screws for the wall mounts, and a bit of light lubrication dealt with a squeak. It should last many years.
Well worth the extra money versus the typical plastic ones. This feels like it will last a long time. It has an almost homemade quality about it given the sturdy build. Rarely can you buy items like this nowadays.
Nowhere on the item, packaging or listing could I find information about country of origin. Any time in my experience this information cannot be found, it means made in China. I assume that is the case here unfortunately.
I wound up a 25m Gardena SuperFlex 13mm hose and it could obviously take more than this, winds very easily.
Hand bracket a foot bracket gave way. And not after much use. Load of overpriced rubbish.
Quality stainless steel hose reel. With the supplied two brackets the unit tends to bounce on the wall, so I replaced with 4x brass Munsen pipe clamps and some bits of rubber car mat. The unit now works superbly, and should last for many years.
I’ve always only been able to find lightweight plastic hose reels with wheels at garden centres and when you start unreeling the hose, after a few metres the reel moves toward you rather than allowing the hose to unreel. This hose reel is all metal, without wheels and fairly heavy so it stays in place when you are pulling out the hose. I am confident that this will last for many years
Bought this to replace my Hozelock reel which had become brittle on the plastic and the legs had rusted through. It is an ex-reel, it is no more, it has gone to meet its maker (the tip).
This FloPro Reel is Stainless Steel and Aluminium and build quality is first class.
Included are all the items required – Handle, extra washers, hose unions etc. No extra tools are required to assemble.
AND IT LOOKS GREAT MOUNTED TO THE WALL.
Thoroughly recommended and it should last forever if you look after it – unlike the Hozelock.
Great product. Well made and sturdy. Hose connections are excellent and the external hose connection does not rotate so will not unscrew as the hose is wound. Easy to connect and no leaks. Best hose real I have had so superior to plastic. Easy method to attach to wall, which make removal easy if required for use elsewhere.
A sturdy hose reel which will last a life time. Arrived sooner than stated and build quality is superb. Only negative that I have is that the fixing brackets seem flimsy so I secured the reel to the wall with rubber lined pipe clips (available in good plumbing suppliers) also I substituted the inlet hose connector with a washing machine hose which is stronger. All in all I would highly recommend..

I wanted a good quality compact, all year round reel for a permanent wall fix. This is it and I am very happy with it. I have put a 30m hose on it, which it copes with well if it is ‘mildly’ well coiled. It is provided with 2 mounting points that aid removal. Whilst it works, it could really do with 4 mounting points. I wanted a permanent fix so i made the mounts myself. It suits my needs perfectly.
Well made reel, a bit expensive but should last a long time.

In the past I’ve had some rather weak plastic hose reals which only last a few years and a rather cumbersome and flimsy for the weight of the hose wound up, so this product although a bit pricey does seem to be far more solid than the other hose rails I’ve had and you’re able to fix it on the wall for better security everything seems to be fine for winding up and easy release when letting it out setting it up is straight forward ,although one disadvantage I would like to have had two extra brackets to secure it from the bottom as when winding up it does tend to jump about and it would give extra stability, even so it is much superior to the ones I’ve had in the past and I’m pleased with this product.
This was very easy to put together. Have mounted it on a wall. Very easy to rewind garden hose now, so no excuse for leaving it out to trip over. A good investment.

The quality of construction and materials. Should last longer than I will! Also it comfortably hold s forty yards of hose.
Picked this hose reel up for around 50 which initially I thought was a lot for something to store my hose but the quality of this thing is exceptional, it looks great and robust, the winding action is super smooth and has a nice weight to it. Yes the cheapish brackets look like a bit of an afterthought, however better u shaped brackets are easy to come by elsewhere, that way you could use one of the supplied brackets to hold the bottom bar against the wall to stop it moving whilst winding the reel.
One of the nicest pieces of equipment I’ve bought recently, highly recommended.

I bought one of these hose reels over a year ago., as a compact reel for water fed pole window cleaning.
I have used the reel all day, five days a week.
It can take 100 metres of microbore hose, which it has loaded on it.
The only thing wrong with it, with heavy use the threads on the screws become loose.I put Locktite thread lock on all of them about 9 months ago & problem solved. Not one has ever come loose again.
When mine eventually wears out, I’ll just get another one.

Very attractive design and nicely constructed. Nevertheless, the first one had to be returned as one of the reel sides had been badly bent in the post. The packaging is far too flimsy and easily crushed in transit. The replacement reel was OK but only just as the box had once again been pushed in. Worth checking the item immediately on receipt.
The reel works well and will take 30 metres of thicker hose. My only niggle is that the wall fittings are not stainless steel which seems mean for an expensive reel. I don’t want rusting metal attached to the wall of my house. I will make my own stainless brackets when these start to rust. Hence I can only give the product 4 stars.
I have had a couple of plastic hose reels which have fallen apart after a couple of years. This product is good quality, easily fixed to the wall and is removable in 10 seconds to be put away for the winter. It is more expensive than the plastic ones but it is much better quality and will be much better value for money in the long term.
As others have said, a very good reel spoilt by poor mounting brackets.
Having broken all the plastic ones, I think this one will last forever. Pricey, but well worth it.

I’ve had several Hosereels in the past and none have lasted more than a couple of years. This one is solid and really well made. Very good buy, well pleased. I have just received my second one it’s that good

It looks very well made (apart from the wall-mounting brackets, which are very disappointing) but it’s a big step up from the other plastic monstrosities that you see in garden centres
I wish everything was built as solidly as this, it makes everything plastic look as cheap and short-lived as they are. I wish they had a slightly larger diameter version, maybe for a 50m hose, but I’m very pleased with this. As discussed the wall mounting brackets are not up to the same standard, but I dont want to mount it, so I’ll let that slide.
Struggled for years with hose reels and then this came along!! Oozes quality and will last for years. Highly recommended.

This is a really sturdy reel. Nice fittings and easy to assemble. I can’t comment on the bracket as I don’t use it.
It really is heavy duty and strong.
To get the most out of it you need two people to reel the hose in as it needs to be under tension and fed evenly to wrap successfully around the reel. I had hoped to use it with 30 metre hose but it was so difficult to wind in that I could only get around 90% on the reel before it jammed.
I would recommend it for shorter hoses, around 20 metres is the best. Over that and you will struggle.
The reel itself is really sturdy, with a reel sense of quality of materials used. However the brackets supplied to fix onto the wall could be made to be stronger. Also as they are only designed to attach from the top of the reel, as you wind it the bottom lift from the vertical surface it’s attached to. Some stainless steel screws would have been nice too as they are subjected to moisture. Apart from that I’m very happy. I will be making some more brackets to secure the bottom of the reel thou.

Forget plastic hose reels…this is the business…OK so it costs…you are paying for quality..and quality you get.The wall mounts are not stainless.I used my old mounts but it’s the reel that counts.sturdily built…Easy to recoil hose and as previous comments holds more that stated.
Excellent quality hose reel, expensive; however, having lots of others that have not lasted long, believe I would have been better saving my money on them and buying this in the first place. I have wall mounted mine and it works a dream. Would be great if it had a level wind, but not complaining.
A great deal and great value at the Prime Day prices…overpriced when not on sale. It’s a metal reel that spins…priced like a space shuttle part. But it’s very well made after experiencing those plastic excrescences that pass for hose reels from the likes of Hozelock et al.
Bought this just over 12 months ago and pleased to say it is a very nice reel indeed, so much nicer than the many plastic units out there. Easy to use, robust and looks great.
A first class product. My only adverse comment would be the wall brackets which are not to the same standard as the hose reel itself.
Compared with the hozelock reel I have replaced, this one with it seems a lot more robust. The brackets that are supplied are a bit thinner than the reel itself and I can see that the two seem not to match quality wise. However I have used both the brackets as per the instructions and it all looks good and secure. I have pulled the full length of hose off in my case 30m and no problems, it didn’t fall off the wall or anything. The only observation I would make is that it would be good to have three brackets supplied, my reason for that is, when winding the hose back in the bottom of the reel bangs on the wall. The third bracket would fit on the bottom support bar and stop that happening. Other than that small problem I am very happy with this reel.
Very well made metal hose reel, currently using it for my window cleaning hose and can fit about 70meter of 6mm hose. Much stronger then any plastic hoselock one.
Sturdy well made reel that should last for years. A lot easier to reel in the hose thanks to a good sized and strong handle.

Excellent quality stainless steel hose reel, built to last. The only, albeit small, downside is the wall brackets, that do not match the quality of the reel.
I am a builder and the plastic versions don’t last long at all.
This is a brilliant reel and very sturdy.
Mine arrived with some minor scuffs on, but otherwise ok. Seems very well made. The attachment for the hose within the barrel of the reel is difficult to connect. You will need a short connector to your hose, otherwise the hose sticks up a fair bit and will cause the hose to wind around the drum in an irregular fashion.
I’ve managed to *just* get 50m of Hozelock ultimate on this, but it’s squeezing up against the handle and projects a bit too far downwards so the reel rests on the hose when on the ground. Will probably have to shorten down to 40m, which would be ideal.
With the hose on, this reel is heavy. Fine for me to carry short distances, but think the wife may struggle.
Very well made reel, though. Bought after the plastic hose connector on a Hozelock model just snapped off after 3 years occasional use. All the connectors here are metal and seem like they would take A LOT of abuse!
I will, though, add my voice to those who’re commenting about the quality of the wall brackets – truly crap. Thin painted mild steel, and supplied with steel screws. Would it really add much or anything to the cost to use stainless steel for the fittings? I’d far sooner have better fittings than spare washers (which tend to last ages and spares will be lost by the time they’re needed!)
I live in a very windy coastal area (Orkney) and the reel reassures me; I’ve binned the fixings, though, and made my own saddle clips from stainless sheet and attached using stainless screws. An extra hour work and the reel is not easily removable, but the rigidity and quality of the originals persuaded me that it would probably hang far longer if I simply started from scratch.
Yes, I’m banging on about this. The contrast between the clips and the reel itself is actually jarring, and I would recommend this reel wholeheartedly if the qualities matched; as it is, unless you don’t wish to wall mount, treat with caution. Does the supplier read these reviews? I’m trying to be helpful!

It says on the listing that it takes 40m of hose, in fact I found with care it comfortably swallowed 50m of Hoselock Ultimate Quality 12.5mm Hosepipe.
If I were to find any fault at all, it is that the wall brackets seem a bit of an afterthought, and would be better if they held the reel more securely for stability when winding the hose back onto it. Although it shouldn’t be necessary this is an easy fix with the addition of an extra couple of screw eyes for support.
In this day and age of cheap cynicism, this reel was a refreshing find, and at the 56.43 price I paid, it was unbelievable value! I am not at all surprised to see that the price has now increased a bit, as it is clearly not a cheap thing to make.
Would have been 5 stars but for those brackets. Spoil the ship for a ha’porth of tar.
I have used it a couple of times and I’m very pleased with it. I use it free standing and so can’t comment about how it is when attached to a wall.
Would I recommend it? I certainly would. Don’t make the mistake I made and look for a cheaper option. Quality lasts long after the price has been forgotten.
Very Good hose reel. Smooth trouble free operation.
One negative, the bore size drops to 8mm on the input to the reel, bore should remain at 10mm for low pressure systems to work at their best.
