Even though this is corded I love it. Cuts beautifully and easy to push. My grass was thick and long and it cut through like butter. Very happy. Value for money:

This mower is very good and easy to use and does a great job with great ease, very happy to use.
Just as expected. If it gives us as much service as our old Flymo which it replaced it will be money well spent.
I bought this in exchange for the flymo turbo lite 270 due to the handle fixing pins falling out whilst using the machine. The glide 300 is far superior in terms of quality and durability, it comes fully assembled, simply open the handle and plug it in.
The grass box is a decent size given the machine size and it picks up well, just keep an eye on the pickup as when it’s slow then you know the box is full.

Replacement for 30 year veteran. Easy to use, produces good neat cut, folds up easily. Great overall machine.
No need for tools to put it together! It comes fully assembled as it says. It’s bigger than I anticipated but it does fold down and is easy to store. Gives a good cut and includes a tool which allows for adjusting the cut. Easy to use and although feels quite heavy to lift from the box, once it’s cutting, it is as light as should be expected from a hover mower!
Come a long way from the Flymo’s I’ve used over the years. Takes the chore out of mowing. I hate mowing the lawn so anything that gets the job done fast & easy is excellent in my book. Recommended!
Bought to use on a small areA not suitable for our petrol mower. Grass cut is fine but it blows the grass everywhere so quick for cutting but you have to spend a lot of time clearing up afterwards.
I previously had smaller version for 10 years and retired it for this beauty 10 times better glides with ease hold quite a large load

Bought this during very wet times to kind of hover over soggy lawn. Sort of does the job. Might use it once a year.
I’ve used this lawn mower for over an year now. It’s super simple to use and clean and cuts the grass evenly. There’re different settings for the depth which can easily be set. I use the max setting and it works fine.
I have a relatively small garden so wanted something that would do the job quickly. I would suggest having the blades on the shortest setting as I’m finding I have to go over the grass with a couple of moves to get it cut as short as I can.
Having said that, this is so light to use, and does both gardens front and back in about 20 mins.
All I need to do now is get the strimmer from this range but it’s out of stock at the moment.

fitted spacers for a closer cut and away we went.
easy to use light to manoeuver cuts well.

I ordered this to replace an almost identical mower that packed up after 10 years. Delivery was quick and the mower has been used twice on my smallish garden.
Was in my price range, lightweight enough for me to use aged 80. The grassbasket cover split on second time used, so have taped it up and am still using mowe
Very good, hard little worker. Not too heavy. Being able to fold it up is good spacewise. This is my second one. The previous one lasted 10 years so cannot complain about that.
Nice lightweight lawn mower that has easy to empty basket and hovers well. I bought it for a 70 sqm garden and I can cut it in 10 mins with a couple of collector box empties but due to short lead I need an extension lead. The last mower I had was the old version of this model and failed after around 7 years as the plastic holding rear roller in place broke. It is a shame that each time you move to the latest model so few parts are interchangeable so if something breaks on the new model you can’t replace it with a part off your old mower.

This was bought by my girlfriend, on my recommendation, as I’d bought one years ago. It’s an absolutely brilliant mower. It’s well built yet lightweight, easy to manoeuvre (it really is), powerful and simplicity in itself to empty it. You can also easily adjust the height of the blade.
Don’t buy any of these wee toys out there classed as lawnmowers. This is all you need and it will last years too.

I actually did not buy this machine, I bought for my next door neighbour who was very pleased with this lawnmower, She had a Flymo before and did not want to change makes but to keep to Flymo , unfortunatetly,

This is a good mower for a small to medium lawn. The design is better than my previous flymo as the handle is easier to fold back when not in use. It is lightweight and easy to manoeuvre as well.
After my last mower this is like pushing round a bag of air. Very good cut into corners (as good as you’ll get), finish off with a Bosch Isio to get a perfect finish. A+++
Easy to use product and easy to assemble (instructions included, which were helpful). Very lightweight but also very effective. My lawn is a bit longer than the cord (roughly 30- 35 feet long) so I needed to fit an extension to allow me to mow the back part.
I have two small lawns and have had Flymo Hover mowers before. I had to put both of the spacers on – which was easy to do. The only thing that is different to my previous mower was the suction for the grass and I am having to go over some areas to pick up the grass. Other than that it is fine, lightweight and easy to use.
I bought this to cut grass which is on a slight hill as thought it would be quite light..it’s heavy and not easy to use on a hill..would be great for flat ground though as good lawnmowe
There is never a point in any humans life where getting a product that needs to move back and forth should ever be considered without wheels! I’m hoping this explodes so I can get my money back and get a proper lawnmowe
Used this for about a year now and it is always a pleasure to use. Very easy to glide across the grass, very easy to empty and a doddle to clean and put back in to the shed.
Easy to use and cuts grass well including long grass. Folds for storage and is easy to assemble. Very pleased with it, value for money and I would recommend
Very pleased with this mower. Ideal for small to medium sized lawns. Our lawn is partly on a steep slope so ease of manoueverabilty is important and this mower meets that criteria.
It also gives a nice,even cut.
Only downside is there are one or two nooks and crannies between the body and the base of the unit where grass gathers and is a bit awkward to remove but that is a minor
issue. Overall, based on my experience so far, I am happy with this mower.
Dreaded getting a new lawn mower after the last one fell apart after 30 years – but I had got used to it! This is a great replacement and perfect for a small, slightly uneven lawn. The grass box is an excellent ‘accessory’ and saves time and energy tidying up afterwards. Height of blades easy to adjust, and the mower is light to carry. It is compact for storage. (instruction sheet is also very helpful.)

Mowed my lawn for the first time…I am 71 so needed I lightweight mower. Most of the grass landed in the box on the top, but machine did spit out a few bits! Not all the garden is level, so I assume its not the mower’s fault!! Good value for money and I purchased it at less cost as it was on Amazon’s returns list unused.
This lawnmower is so easy to set up and use. Just plug it in and off you go. Very lightweight, I can pick it up with one hand. It cuts the grass really nicely and is really easy to move around the garden. Collects the grass so no need to take and folds away so it’s easy to store. I would definitely recommend.
Easy and simple to setup and use. The weight makes manoeuvrability easy and makes doing large lawns less tiresome. It comes with multiple blade spacers to allow for voice of your optimal grass length and the instructions even include how best to mow it.

I had never owned a Flymo Hover mower before so i was really delighted when i plugged my new Hover Mower in, i did everything it said in the advert and i was really pleased with my choice.
Good lawn mower. Nice cut. Grass container is small and needed emptying 10+ times when mowing lawn which is a little irritating but gives good cut and blade is adjustable. Much lighter than previous law mowers of same brand

I bought this to replace my electric cylinder type mower which was becoming too hard for me to operate (I’m 74). This flymo is easier to operate due to the hover feature but it is quite heavy. When the power is off it is very heavy to get out or put away as it does not roll very easily and has to be carried.
The price was excellent, times have moved on with regards to build quality, it remains be seen how long this will last in comparison.
It does cut very nicely and collects the grass well.
It is noisier than my previous mower, but due to the lack of weight I got my garden cut quicker than the old one.
4 stars due to the lightweight build, I know it’s advertised as being leighweight, but I feel it could have been made just a little more substantial without compramising the brief.

Really pleased when unpacking I had nothing to struggle regarding screws and handles so they must have revamped it thanks Flymo, delivery was super quick literally the day after sometimes they say next day and don’t. This seller delivered. Really pleased bargain!
The only thing wrong is that the cord is not as long as my previous flymo and won’t reach the end of our garden, and I have to use an extension lead to reach the end of the garden. Also the cord is attached to the lawnmower so cannot be replaced.
Overall I would recommend this flymo and would recommend the vendor as well, the flymo came boxed up very quickly.
Excellent lawnmower so light and so easy to manouvre and a great cut. Did have to adjust the blade put it come with a handy tool for that, overall would reccomend specially for the price I’d paid.
We have found this mower so easy to use. We have a sloping lawn and it is is perfect for the job. The cut is very good and the grass collection is good.

First purchased a similar back in the 1990s. Never a thought to try any different.
Decent lawnmower. Lasted some years before finally breaking down due to a plastic break which left the blades susceptible to touching the ground. Still, an absolute bargain for the price. Loses one star due to Amazon leaving at a “neighbours” house for collection but not specifying which neighbour. Eventually found it, 32 houses down the road…

I used this for the first time this morning, I was a bit nervous as after purchasing I read some of the bad reviews on here and thought my lawn might be a bit of a challenge for it as it is a bit bumpy in places and on a slope. The lawn is medium sized and was both a bit overgrown and damp when I cut – although not best practice I thought I’d see how it faired anyway.
Overall I am really happy with performance, it is super light and easy to manouver. I did have to go over certain bits several times, but the grass was damp and long so to be expected. The main impression I got is that It is so quiet and easy to push around, it honestly felt less effort than vacuum cleaning the living room. I would even go as far to say it was a joy to use!
To address some of the negative points I had read here, yes it is not massively robust, but to me felt decent build quality for the price. Also, you need to consider the construction along with the weight, it is so lightweight to push around – I have a bad neck which is why I opted for a hover mower and I think I definitely made the right choice. The grass container does work well, indeed it fills up fairly quickly, but it does compress the clippings quite a bit – I had to empty 3 times, but I think that’s OK for the size of my lawn. It hovered really well, even on long wet grass which was 15-20 cm long in places. I also have a slope at the top of the lawn, not massive but far from level ground, here it was of course a little harder to push but still pretty easy – next time I will make sure the grass container is empty, bottom of mower is free from clippings and start with this part of the lawn. Some grass does get blown around a bit and I can imagine if you have a very neat and minimal garden with paving at the same level as the grass, this might be annoying, but for our garden which has a very natural feeling I am really not concerned about this – most of the clippings got caught in the container. The other thing is edges – edges that meet with the beds it does really well, edges that meet a vertical obsatcle it will leave a narrow patch that you would need to strim after – again for me not too much of an issue.
The only problem I noticed so far, is that on the handle where the pole meets the mower body there is a basic mechanism to stop the handle folding in for storage. When I tried to fold it away the end of the pole got caught somehow and the plastic coating tore off a bit. This is quite annoying for a brand new machine and I guess proves the build quality is not perfect. I need to have a proper look at this, but I think I’ll just live with it and be careful with that part from now on.
I will finish up by noting that I think Flymo is a concept you may love or hate. I grew up with them as my parents owned one or two over the years, so there’s some nostalgia at play, but I do think it’s a format that suits a domestic setting very well. Comparing to the old models I remember, this one feels even better than I remember, I enjoyed using it and am actually looking forward to cutting the grass again! If your lawn is not too big and you are more concerned about ease of use than a pristine finish I would highly recommend this mower.
Oh, and it folds away to take up a small footprint in the shed, or wherever it lives.
Neat mower for small patches of grass. Works well for my little house. Light and easy to carry from the garage to the back through my house. Would not recommend for larger areas as grass catcher only does small amounts. Very pleased with purchase.
Used yesterday for the first time-quite impressed with it so far. Easy glide seem;s to ring true when you first use it. Good long cable as well-Flymo really seem to have an edge over alot of lawn mower manufactures as there garden products are second to none. Lovely job Flymo,keep giving us good quality products-as I would certainly buy more of your garden products.
The item arrived very promptly, well packaged and in excellent condition. I have just used it to cut the lawn! Well, actually collect up a large number of pine needles! At the time of writing (August 2018) the lawn has not grown for about six weeks and so I suppose this review is a bit irrelevant. However, the device is light and easy to manoeuvre. It swept up the majority of the pine needles and the lawn looks better (not very green, but fewer pine needles!). My only complaint is that the cable cannot be disconnected from the machine. I suppose this is OK as I bought a cable tidy and just store that (with the cable!) in the grass box. This is not the first Flymo that I have owned and so I have a number of cables from old, worn out machines. It would be better if Flymo sold the machine and cable separately. Hence I would only need to buy a new machine and use the cable from its predecessor.
This is the only lawn mower I can use on my lawn as it is so stoney and most lawnmowers pack up after a while. But this one is perfect and is the second one I have bought now. Would not use any other.
My ancient wheeled electric lawnmower that had done me proud for 10 years finally started giving up the ghost so I trawled the market for a reputable, light lawnmower.
I bought the Flymo as firstly it’s a brand that seems to have been around forever and it came at a competitive price. The lawnmower is much lighter and therefore easier to handle than my old one (it weighs under 9kgs) and the hover system and lack of wheels means it can get close in to plants and shrubs without the need to then get the strimmer out too. It cuts nicely and evenly and the wire is long enough and the storage box big enough to not have to empty out frequently.
It also sits upright so it takes up less space in your shed!
For a small to medium sized garden this comes as a well recommended choice!

Great little mower for the price – if you can keep the grass fairly short and the underside of the deck clean it will give a really good finish and collect most of the cuttings as it goes – As it floats on a cushion of air it will move in any direction and doesn’t leave wheel marks – Recommended.
a little narrow cutting path, but good for the price. Not the best ‘picker up’ but I like to regularly leave the cuttings and then spike the lawn as I find it holds moisture better and makes a softer lawn, needs less feeding, so picking up everything not a problem for me.
Got it to replace my older flymo that did not pick up. I do like the air cushion system.
Had it a few weeks, does the job, but has started to stop halfway through the lawn, checked fuse etc., might be faulty wiring, if it keeps doing it, it will be returned!
I brought an easymo lawnmower last year, but can’t get on with it. I went over a stone, got my neighbour to change blade as l was having problems trying to get it off , but now not cutting grass, anyone back to what l had originally, which is this one and very happy so far.
Lighter and slightly smaller than the outgoing mower but much easier to use. Seems a very efficient machine providing a clean cut and easily adjusted cut height. Only slight dislike is the fact that the power lead is permanently connected to the start control rather than the plug-in, detachable arrangement on the previous Flymo.
A great little lawn mower!
I have always found a lot of mowers to be too bulky, heavy or difficult to manoeuvre around my gardens. This one is different, it is very easy to handle around my very small front garden and larger back garden. Its the perfect size and it easily stores away.

My wife has impaired use of her hands, and I have arthritis of the spine, so this hover mower has been a very welcome addition to our tool kit. We’ve both found it much lighter to use than the more traditional rotary mower with four wheels and external grass box that it’s replaced. The cut is good and perfectly acceptable, (we’re using two spacers i.e. the mid-cut height), and the integral grass box is much better over our uneven ground. Not having the overhang of an external grass box, it’s allowed us to use the mower in tighter corners etc., without the external box being regularly thrown off by the bumps in the ground as hitherto. A long time ago, we had an early model of a hover Flymo, and that gave us many years of hard labour. If this modern version is half as good as that one, we’ll be well pleased.
Our lawn is about 9m square and very uneven lots of dips and bumps. Our old Flymo died after 23 years of use. This one is much better. I like the grass collection box, I have to empty it once or twice during a cut; that is still better than raking the grass cuttings off the lawn which is what we used to do. The grass was very long before Amazon finally delivered the mower (1 star to Amazon for delivery) The mower coped well with the long grass it seems powerful. It is light enough to pick up and carry easily. You can store the cable in the grass box when the mower is not being used. The clips to fasten the cable to the arm of the mower are helpful and reduce the risk of you running over the cable. The mower is easy to clean, which you need to do after every use to keep the fan clear of grass cuttings to avoid the motor being put under strain. For 68 I felt it was good value.
Should have got rid of my cheep rubbish one years ago and bought a better one. It does what it’s supposed to and collects the grass, I’m happy

Would have preferred the next one up. But it’s only a small amount of grass to cut so this will do
I bought this to replace an old (8 years) Flymo Easy Glide 350, although I’ve also used wheeled lawnmowers too. I’ve found the Flymos are easy-to-use, collect grass well and compress it in the bucket (less emptying). They come assembled, unlike some others, and they are fairly compact to store.
What they don’t do well is edges. As, the Flymos rely on the ‘hovercraft’ style of floating, they need a thicker, curved edge. Wheeled mowers only need a thin plastic or metal guard, so running it along a wall gets you much closer to the edge. Other mowers can also have the heights adjusted more quickly, using levers, etc. These mowers rely on you removing the blade and adding small plastic discs to extend the position when you re-attach the blade.
I was a little disappointed the newer models don’t seem to have a proper cable wind on the handlebars; and it now required both hands to release and remove the grass bucket, whereas before they had a nice one-handed design. Considering the price from new is comparable to my old model, it’s a shame they’ve simplified some features.
Lightweight and cuts well. Easy to handle. Would have given it 5 stars except it rather annoyingly doesn’t come with a mechanism to wind and manage the flex. The slightly larger version of this does and so I was expecting this one to have it as well
Very easy and light to use especially for a female or elderly. Good to cut longer grass and short but does blow alot of cuttings out of the side of mower.
Great purchase. Mowed the lawns at the weekend and it covered even the toughest undulating bits really well. Lots of emptying of the grass collecting bin required, but that comes with a big garden. Excellent value. Found it easy enough to manoeuvre.
Works well even on long grass. Collects well though frequency of emptying depends on length of grass but is OK. Very useful on the sloping ground for which it was bought and light weight makes it easier to maneuver.
Height adjustment is easy with tools supplied.
Bit awkward to carry with handle folded but modest weight does make it possible to carry to place of use. We have a large garden!
Durability to commented on at end of the summer.
Leaves quite a bit of grass but that was on my first cut, let’s see next week when I cut. Love that it’s light, easy to store and for the price can’t really go wrong.
Hovers and cuts nicely. Cable storage is a bit of a hassle and could have been solved with a redesigned moulding on the lid.
