The price was reduced when I bought it and was cheaper than any of the stores I had looked in previously. It’s light weight which is what I was after. Marking down one star in the review because the lead isn’t as long as I would have expected. It’s much shorter than I would have liked and expected which means having to get an extension lead if you have a bigger garden. Other than that very happy

Arrived earlier than proposed time frame, easy to set up and easy to use, I was used to a self propelling petrol mover but its easy and light weight that pushing it is no problem. Lswn looks good, no complaints from me

After having 2 G-tech mowers this is so much better. It’s lighter, manoeuvrable & even has a roller. The on/off control is 100% better. It folds up well & is easily stored away. Has the option of using one battery so other can be recharging. So far really delighted.

Straight forward to put together if you follow the instructions. Grass box a little fiddly but went together ok. If you wait for the grass box full indicator, you will need to un-jam the grass cuttings from the entrance. Heavier than my old flymo but expected – at least now I can wheel it to the garage.

Its pretty easy to assemble, nice and solid thereafter. I’ve used it twice now, and the cuts have been just great. The height adjustment made it so easy to move over the garden, and wheels help you follow the cut to get a nice striped effect on your lawn if you want it.
The lawnmowers’ price doesn’t reflect its value at all. I’d recommend this to anyone with an average size lawn.

The 340R which I bought is mains powered. My lawns had not been cut for weeks due to the failure of my old mower and on a setting of 5 for a rough-cut it coped very well. So far, so good. Assembly calls for some patience but it has both pictorial and written instructions. My only complaint is that the cord is considerably shorter than that on my old hover mower, also a Flymo. You may need an extension reel.

If you need lightweight/maneuverable/ 30cm blade, then this is for you. In our case the lowest setting cut too short and scalped our lawn and the next setting left it too long. So a bit Goldilocks really. It has the feel of a child’s dolly pram. Uncertain about durability. Returned ours for a Flymo Hover ( 33cm blade) that has has a suitable height setting for our needs and is also quite maneuverable , but with more heft.

Good value. Performs very well on all grass lengths. Powerful. Quiet and lightweight. It’s body is not as rigid as Flymos of old but so far seems acceptable. Now used this in Autumn and copes well with long wet grass and picks up leaves perfectly. No hesitation in recommending this mowe

Assembly was fairly straightforward, took about 15 mins. Got this to replace a Bosch rotak 32, slightly smaller, more manoeuvrable and easier to use. Powerful enough for long grass. Then you can just fold the handle and store it upright. Very happy and impressed.

Like everyone else who has written a review this mower is not fit for purpose
The height adjuster continually slips and the blades drop into the grass gouging out a horrendous circle
    It has ruined my lawn
Now the stwich handles have both snapped off after 14 months the lawnmowe is unusable it scrap
Stay clear this lawnmower is just fit for the skip

This was bought to replace our old flymo mower of 20 years old. I am really pleased with this new flymo it is great does exactly what it says on the box making mowing the lawn a pleasure.
However, need to take a little time to put the grass box that comes in two pieces together.

I’ve a smallish lawn and it’s a real pain because it meanders through my packed beautiful garden and all those extension cables and mower cables often damage plants get in the way and then you have to put all that cabling away but not with this mower it’s so easy just to wonder through the garden and now at last it’s a pleasure to cut the grass for me I wish I had this mower years ago.

    It’s a decent quality mower.
The mechanism to adjust the height is great.
The mechanism for handles is a bit clinky and there must be a better folding system.
The side comb to bring grass under the blades actually works (I had my doubts beforehand).
Grass box adequate. Overall not too bad.

    BUT:
What are flymo thinking they ruined the whole thing by providing such a short cable..compared to my Flymo 330 Hover I now have to move the cable almost every run of the lawn (even with an extension cable). What a pain. I’ll have replace the cable myself with a longer one. For literally less than 1 they could have improved the whole thing. Next time I’ll buy a battery operated mower and not from Flymo.

Was close to three stars but perhaps if your lawn is not massive (mine is 360m2) then perhaps the cable is not an issue.

I love this mower, it’s light and easy to push along. Our back garden has a slight slope, but I didn’t struggle at all. (I’m not young and I have physical health problems) I really like the way it folds up for storage, it only takes up the space of a decent sized suitcase. I would heartily recommend it.

This product was a little fiddly to assemble but given that you can store it upright it’s worth the time setting up. Having used a cylinder mower for many years I was reluctant to move to rotary. However, this Flymo has not disappointed. It cuts very well, is easy to manoeuvre and the little flap to indicate when the box is full is quite accurate. The roller is also great as you can still have the traditional lines if you want them. The mower is easy to stow away in an upright position too which is great for space-saving. Overall I am very happy with this product and look forward to cutting the grass!

Feels a very well made lawn mower with large capacity grass box. It collects nearly all the grass clippings which is more than what I can say of the very expensive Bosch mower I tried before this one. It also very compact to store. Easy to alter the cutting height and a very clever grass full indicator of the grass box which actually works. I am very happy with it.

Perfect for our small garden, I was hesitating between one powered by battery or cable but for the price difference and the time I was really saving with a battery and theprice difference (2-3 X) I decided to go for a cable power lawnmower. It’s small, compact, light and easy to store. There are 5 differentlevels of cut and the collector is a good size and It comes with a 10m long cable that is just enough for me.

I bought this one because I wanted and electric battery powered mower with a roller. The stripes are great and easy to achieve, however it’s quite hard to push and really struggles on thicker grass. Battery isn’t great, I can get 3 runs out of it on my 7mx7m lawn.
This was an upgrade from a older Worx model and to be honest that was more powerful and easier to use, but the stripes and easy storage of this is more of what I’m after!

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI agonised over lawnmower reviews as most of them have negative comments to do with build quality, cutting quality or motor burnout issues

This lawnmower is sturdy and has quite a nice design, it’s easy to collapse and store.
The cable management is simple and effective.
Handles are great and height is adjustable.

The cut is decent and it’s easy to change heights with a lever. It’s not lightweight but can be moved around easy enough.
There is an indicator on the grass collector which lets you know when it needs emptied.

I’m delighted with my purchase for the money, it also has a roller and powerful motor giving you bang for your buck. 2 year warranty available on registration. Would recommend

A little fiddly to put together but successfully achieved. It cut the grass in my moderate sized garden but I found it struggled with the longer grass. I had to adjust the height a couple of times but was pleased with the final cut. Fits in hut easily in upright position.

I bought this mower to upgrade from my ancient but trusty Qualcast after setting a new lawn. Overall it is an improvement in usability.
Good: cordless with plenty of power for my small lawn. Saves all the faff of extension leads and circuit breakers. Folds up great and pulls along on two wheels. Easy to clean down. Neat storage.
Not so good: only has 3 cutting heights and the top height is very long. To get 5 heights you need bigger model. Changing height is hard for me, needs plenty of force.
Bad: assembly instructions and pictures especially for attaching the lower foldable arm. After a frustrating struggle I had to walk away and then sussed it the next day after searching the internet. But couldn’t find an official video?

I have a fairly large garden, mostly on a slope and my previous flymo was proving to be a bit difficult to manoeuvre. (Not as young as I used to be !)
This flymo is much easier to use. My only regret is not buying a slightly larger one. It was easy to put together.

The instructions for assembly are useless. They assume that you are an octopus when connecting the two parts of the grass box! Also you need to be able to mind read!! Would be better if it was rewritten by an engineer who could explain the number of turns to put on a part to make the job easier.

  43. ShereeChristmas says:

    Great lawnmower!!
It does leave low defined stripes too.
I have steel lawn edging which protrudes slightly above the grass. This precludes me using a conventional cylinder bladed mower. This is why I chose the flymo It is perfect for the job.
The small footprint of it when it is stored away is a great space saver in the garage too.

I think this is a very good machine for around 100s.y. of lawn. Being so light, I can easily mow in the various places like under trees and bushes, and it cuts well on any grass which hasn’t been allowed to get too long or wet! This applies to most mowers anyway!

I would suggest that the roller isn’t that good, as it accumulates damp grass and mud between the actual roller and the enclosure, and seizes up quite quickly. I might even remove it completely, as I have no need for ‘lines’ on our lawn!

As I’ll never see sixty again, or seventy for that matter, I am very pleased to have a mower which is light, has a very efficient cutting action and is easy to store under the bench in the shed. I only need one charge for the twenty-five minutes I need to cut the various areas of lawn, and this mower is definitely up to the job!

Product has proved better than expected. Although made of plastic, it has a solid quality feel. Collection box was a little tricky to assemble, but once done proved solid also.
‘Have used it once so far, beginning of the season, and the cut was excellent. The omission of any cables was much appreciated when maneuvering around around obstacles/trees in the lawn.
I wasn’t so concerned about having a build in roller to create stripes, but the presence of the roller makes it easy to cut right up against the edges, whereas a convention 4-wheel mower always runs the risk of falling off the edge and then scalping the grass. Try it and see.
I particularly like the way it stores vertically in a stable and compact way.
It wasn’t until I bought it that I found out that Flymo is now owned by Husqvarna. Two well know and respected Brands.
I would highly recommend this product. Even better when the price I paid at Amazon is significantly below the RRP.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersPurchased on a ‘deal day’ this has already proved a real time saver when actually mowing the lawn. I normally have to get out an extension cable. Not in the image is a grass topped wall. Not having to worry about the whereabouts of the cable and shifting it away from the mower regularly saved lots of time. No winding of the cable before or after. All good. However, the batteries take quite a while to charge up and it was not possible to do my elderly neighbour’s two lawns and mine on one charge. Somewhat disappointing. But, overall, glad I bought the cordless mower. Worth the extra money. As I get older, there is more likelihood of cutting a cable with the blade. No need to worry about that now. The finish is good. See the image and judge for yourself.

    Light & easy

Portability of the item is good, and it is lightweight and easy to use. Battery lasts about 30 min, but takes longer than expected to recharge (sometimes mine takes 8 hours). Also, you don’t find replacement batteries online. If you can, I would suggest a corded one, or another brand.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersGot this at a reduced price of 160 on Prime Day. Some reviews say it’s fiddly to put together but I found it very straight forward and the instructions were easy to follow. I put it together in around 30 mins. I’ve only used it once but was very pleased with the quality and ease of use. Grass was rather damp (couldn’t wait to try it!) but it cut with ease on a high cut and left perfect stripes on the lawn. Battery lasts well too. More than enough charge for my medium sized lawn. I will update the review when I’ve used it a few more times.

Not as lightweight as I thought it was.
Not too easy to manoeuvre when turning sharply.
Great Cut ! And that’s the main thing.

    Great Cut With Stripes.

Overall a good lawnmower. My only complaint is that the stripe produced by the rear roller could be better and the cutting height could be more finely tuned between lowest (scalping) and next lowest.

34 cm cut more than adequate and at11kg, light and easy to use compared to my old unit. The facility to fold it up and save space when storing in the shed is a masterstroke and well worth the extra cost over other models. Leave graet stripe and the ability to cut up to hard edges is an excellent feature of the mower. Thoroughly recommended.

I have been pleased with this mower in most respects. The quality of grass cutting is better than I expected, and the rear roller leaves a neat striped
effect after mowing. Ideally I would like to have a longer lasting battery, but I can complete one and two thirds of my front and back garden lawns and the batteries if left a third charged only take an hour to recharge again.

We bought a Flymo EasiStore 380R.
It cuts our grass well. Good grass box, lightweight and easy to remove when it needs emptying, easy to replace to continue grass cutting. Ours came with a 2-year guarantee which required registration on the web. Easy to move the handle between positions for mowing and storage. Stores securely on the (fairly) level and (fairly) even concrete floor of our garage. The upright storage means it takes up much less room than our old lawn mower.

The power cord is as long as that of our previous lawn mower.

The height adjustment is easy enough when you get used to it .

We’re glad we bought this lawn mower.

This is a good quality mower and easy to store if space is limited. My only complaint was the cable is far shorter than my previous mower and I had to extend it by 5 mts to be able to reach the edges of my lawn. However this problem applies to most mowers on the market not just Flymo.

So easy to store after use. Good range of cutting heights, Level 3 seems to be my usual setting. Would like to use level 2 but it tends to rip up the sod, had to reseed a small area. Good size collecting box.
Couple of dislikes. The adjustment height lever is quite stiff, tends to challenge me as a disabled user. Secondly, the length of the power cable is shorter than my old Flymo Multimow 340. I cant use the old cable because the new mower is hard wired in to the handle control.

Easy to put together. I think I did in 20 mins. I did go a bit wrong when I tightened the lower handles straight. It is a tiny bit tricky to put together single handily. But I did it.

My old flymo which was given to me died.

I got this rotary one. It is small but perfect for my small garden. Love the 5 cutting options really handy. It is light weight.

I only used it once so far. Used the long grass setting. Then the medium grass setting.

    But I love it.
And I am so happy I was able to put it together by myself.

Was a little bit of a faff to set up and the collector feels very flimsy. In use, however it is easy to remove and re add. Cuts lawn beautifully, easy to use. the dual triggers really help. After using a hover mower, this one wipes the floor with it. Leaves a really nice stripe and easy to adjust the height.

Decided to change from the traditional flymo hover as was fed up with cuttings blowing everywhere. Delighted to say this little chap has surpassed expectations and cuts beautifully. I have raised sleeper beds and it cuts tight to edges so no strimmer or shears needed to finish off.
Assembly was very easy and I managed it on my own apart from attaching the upper part of the handle, I just needed an extra pair of hands to hold in place whilst attaching the bolts
    5 stars from this gardene

I’ve been using an electric cylinder mower (not Flymo) on my medium sized lawn and finding it hard going. Bought this Flymo and assembled and used it yesterday for its first cut. It will take me less than half the time it took me previously to cut my lawn.

Delivery was prompt and assembly is straightforward if you take the time to follow the instructions. It’s not xavtly lightweight but it is well designed to facilitate carrying, and it as a clever mechanism to facilitate space saving storage.

So far I have only used one cutting setting (the lowest). It cuts effectively and is designed in a way to get as close to the edges as possible, handy as it reduces the time needed for strimming.

It leaves a very tidy finish.

Nice mower, feels a little cheaper than expected being a well known brand but the flimsy feeling plastic may be advantageous when bumping into things as it flexes quite well where a thicker plastic may crack.

Height adjustment is easy, I found #2 to be best as any lower tends to bog down and catch uneven ground, when storing upright it’s best to move the height adjustment to its lowest to have a better center of gravity and reduce risk of tipping over.

The roller is a nice feature which adds noticeable striping and helps on slopes next to beds.

    My favourite features are:
    Left and right handed operation.
    Upright storage.
    Rear roller.
    Height adjustment.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersFrom the first cut I was impressed, until the height setting lever reset itself to the lowest level at the slightest undulation in the lawn! This was frustrating but seemed to be caused by a rather tentative locking system which really needed to be designed to be more positive in its engagement. Problem solved with the aid of a bungey strap to beef up the grip of the lock engagement. This should not have been needed with a brand new product!!

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI have purchased the Flymo Easistore 340r after 1 week of research.
I have a small garden (up to 100sqm) and this mower does the job. The waste box filled up after mowing about 15m, but I must say the grass in my garden was quite tall, I have left it 3 weeks after it’s been laid.
Easy to assemble, easy to mow, easy to clean, easy to store, and quite lightweight as well.
The electric cord is long enough for a 10m garden and the Mower itself is good for a garden up to 100 sqm or 320 sqft.
Also important, it’s very good looking!

Golden Review Award: 7 From Our UsersThe mower came almost fully assembled – just had to put the handle and grassbox together then attach the handle to the machine. All fairly easy, with the exception of the grassbox. While not really difficult, it is a bit fiddly as the two halves (which simply clip together) are quite flexible until assembled, and you have to get all the clips and lugs lined up correctly before you simply clip it together. Took me a couple of goes to get it right, but once assembled it’s quite sturdy.

In use, it is light and easy to handle. I like the either-handed power switch/levers as I can take either hand off the controls to manipulate the cable as I go. The grassbox holds a good amount of clippings and attaches quite securely and easily to the mower. It even has a handy little indicator built-in to show when it is getting full. As mowers go, it is also reasonably quiet (probably as there are no gears etc to generate mechanical noise – the blade is simply bolted onto the motor spindle).

There is a 5-position cutting height adjuster, comprising a single lever which raises/lowers all four wheels by an equal amount. I have seen other reviews saying this won’t stay in any of the higher positions and slips back into position 1 (the lowest) in use. I have had no such issues at all – possibly the mechanism is slightly different on some of the other models (mine is a 34cm corded machine).

Cutting results are fine – there is a roller between the rear wheels which does a passable job of creating “stripes” as you mow if that’s your preference. The mower is easy to clean after use – just a quick brush over underneath to remove any accumulated clippings.

All the above mark it in my book as a good mower, but it has another trick up its sleeve – when you have finished mowing the handles are quickly unlatched, laid flat and then relatched. The whole mower can then be simply stood on end (there is even a stowage hook on the grassbox) so it takes up a very small amount of floorspace in your shed or garage.

Negatives? It would be nice to have a slightly longer mains cable. I haven’t measured it but it’s only just long enough to reach to the far end of our not-very-big lawn. Flymo also claim in their bumf that it can easily be wheeled around in the stowed “small footprint” configuration – in my experience this is only partially true – you can indeed wheel it around but the grassbox will fall off its clever stowage hook if you do.

Overall I fully recommend this mower (34cm corded model) for anyone with small-ish lawns.

I’m new to all this cordlees equipment, but I’m so glad that I got this product. Its so easy to use and move due to the wheels No wires or petrol to have to think about. If you have a big garden or you have let you grass grow too much, you might need to do your garden in 2 stages while you wait for the battery to charge/ or like me I got some spare batteries.

bought as replacement for my 15 year old black and decker mower, which gave up the ghost last week. Bought my mum and dad a Flymo a couple of months ago so decided to get the same. nice and light , it packs up for storing , which is a bit fiddly so I don’t think I’ll be using that feature but good if space is an issue. Good price great delivery no problems

I am unable to use the mower as the lead is only reaches the top few metres of my lawn as the power cable is not long enough to reach the anticipated area (250m2) and the extension lead purchased separately cannot be connected.

Cordless mowers are a fantastic idea, I only have a small patch of grass so it’s great to fly around it quickly with no need for petrol or cables.
The performance is excellent but I marked down to 4 because the instructions are rank ( common sense comes into play here!!) and the changing of height levels isn’t great but these are minor faults.
Once up and running it’s easy to operate and incredibly light.

Make sure you check all the screws, nuts and bolts are still tight after every use. I’ve lost several already and have now learned my lesson. I find it too difficult to alter the height of the cutting deck as it’s spring loaded and aggressive. Other than that, it works brilliantly, cuts for about 40 minutes before the batteries need recharging and is perfect for those areas I can’t cut with a bigger machine.

Really like this lawnmower. It’s compact and batterylife is good. Need to empty a little more frequently, but not much of a problem if you have a smaller lawn. Like the height adjustment setting too. Battery charger is cleverly designed, you can charge both batteries at the same time.

Nice cut and we were surprised at how better the grass looked using this. It’s a lot louder than our old flymo but really picks up the grass and loose bits easily. The best feature is the handle on top for lifting as this is not a light lawnmower and we need to carry a bit of a distance. The cord is much shorter that my old one which could be a problem for some people. Very pleased with product and purchase, hope it lasts another 20 years as did our old flymo!

It takes 4+ hours to charge the batteries from empty & they only last 35-45 minutes at most otherwise this is a great little mower. It is light and easy to manoeuvre & it picks up the grass well. I filled the grass box 5 times (175l) on my first use before the batteries were drained..

Golden Review Award: 49 From Our UsersHad to replace a 50 year old Qualcast cylinder electric Panther, very reluctant to change to a rotary mower but at the age of 87 did not see the sense in spending 500/600 on a cylinder machine, chose the Flymo having read the reviews of about 10 machines, was nearly put off the Flymo by the reviews saying how difficult it was to assemble, I found the fitting straight forward if you follow the supplied instructions, a piece of advice have a jar of vaseline handy and use it on all screws and in particular on all plastic lugs when pushing two parts together especially assembling the grass box. Have only cut lawn twice so far and result satisfactory obviously not as good as the Panther, but reasonable and for the price very good.
