Went together in about 20 minutes then straight into the garden where it did a great job. Easy, powerful and a nice stripe to the lawn. Good price too as Black Friday deal
Does our small front lawn and medium sized back lawn with only 1 bar of battery use with normal growth, unlike cabled mowers does struggle a little with fuller longer grass so this is only going to be the optimal if you’re keeping on top of your lawn. Any more than couple weeks growth you’ll need something more powerful. But for convenience it’s great. Easy enough to pack away and compact too in the storage box
Bought this in May and managed to cut the grass in 1 go..This was ok for about a month then batteries only lasted 10mins.Contacted Flymo and they sent 2 other Husquama batteries free of charge..these last about 20mins which just manages to cut the grass if it was shortIf I had my chance again I would probably buy a petrol one but because of flymos customer service I’ll give this 4 stars.
This is my second flymo like this!! My sister has inherited my old one. Brilliant, reliable machine with a big grass box which means u r not stopping and starting so much. Leaves ur lawn looking amazing!!! Xxxx
Really happy with this product. Came on time and what’s great is the huge grass box. Really saves time on emptying the box. Cuts real smooth and with ease. Really glad I brought this.
Assembly of the mower fine, the grass box a little more work required. I would have liked another ‘notch’ to set the cutting a little higher. Apart from these minor issues this is value for money.
Fantastic lawnmower. Easy to fold up and it stands on end ….. Great idea and so convenient for storage. Light weight in use, easy to adjust cutting height and the grass box fills efficiently.
My grass doesn’t do the stripe thing but the roller would give stripes on a better lawn.
Happy with the purchase
Pro: Height adjustment is easy and offers 5 settings. Grass box is large. Cutting width is better than my old hover. Folds up quite neatly.
Con: Mains cord is very short. Grass box is flimsy. It is significantly heavier than a hover.
My Bosch mower gave up after years service. Bought another Bosch but was awful and a nightmare to assemble. A bit sceptical as had only ever bought Bosch. But this is a great mower. Took about 10 minutes to pit together and away. I only gave it 4 stars, as it was a bit heavier to push than my last one. But tackled my large gardens no probs.
I paid extra for a lawn mower with two batteries…thinking to use one as a spare. However, this unit requires both batteries to be inserted into the mower to be used…so there is no spare
Arrived promptly from Amazon Warehouse. Easy to assemble – picture/written instructions perfectly adequate. Cleverly designed for storage. Drops a star as I’m not convinced about potential longevity, seems a bit flimsy in some areas, but time will tell. As a warehouse deal it made it affordable. On trying to charge the batteries one was u/s; apparently an all-too-common fault with this mower. Amazon offered a paltry refund or send it back. To save the faff of a return I took the refund. Obvious now why it was a returned item – why did Amazon describe it as ‘very good condition with only small cosmetic blemishes’? To their credit, Flymo sent a replacement under warranty in 24 hours. Nice one!
Haven’t used as yet but consider it to be an excellent purchase trust it lasts longer than my previous lawnmower which only lasted 4 years!
Flymo EasiStore 380R Electric Rotary Lawn Mower – 38 cm Cutting Width, 45 Litre Grass Box, Close Edge Cutting . Delivery great .
Instructions a bit cryptic but manageable for a 60yr old seasoned Ikea self assembler . If not used to flat pack might need some help needed an extension lead to reach the far corners which luckily have. Once assembled pretty straightforward to use . Not cut grass myself for 34yrs ( would describe myself as unfit )and this mower made swift work of it . I did one mix on the highest level 5 then repeated on 4. Grass collected without any sill over and east to empty . Folds to stand for storage with a little adjustment. Overall well pleased for the price . Only negative so far iz that you have to be mindful not to run over the cable but I think that makes il for battery versions that frustratingly run out of power way too soon to finish a job in one go .
Cuts lawn well. Adjustable height for cutting is really useful. Good for small lawns as cable is only 10 metres long.
I have a petrol mower but this year it didn’t start and I don’t have the funds right now to try and sort it out. So as I got this on the 5 monthly payments, it was easier for me to just get an elec as a back up. It’s was easy to put together. I like the basket. It has an extra bit that stops the grass from falling out. Cuts the grass well. It does the job and I’m very happy with it. Also folds up so it easy to store. Glad I chose this mower.
I keep to the facts as follows. At first this mower was perfect and I enjoyed not having a cable to swing about to get out the way. It was great for the first 10 or so mows. I kept the batteries inside over the winter months and went to charge them last week. One was fine but the other was completely dead. I managed to get it to charge but it discharges within 5 minutes of mowing. I then find out that it is approximately 60 for one replacement battery. The choice is yours.
05/05/23 Update – I contacted FLYMO (with the relevant information) via their website and they have sent a replacement battery free of charge with no quibbles at all.
Revised model from my previous mower, works well cuts nice and now with the roller makes nice lines, if I had one criticism it would be lead could be a couple meters long, as our garden is a good size.
Bought this mower because I found our petrol one very heavy and hard to use. This mower is light and easy to use and does a good job on our large garden but I find I need to empty the grass box pretty regular. The wire is pretty short but I use an extension and our garden is large .very happy with this purchase great little mowe
I’ve had Flymos for years. This replaced my old one that broke after 15 years. This one still mows like a dream. Nice and light. The blade on these newer ones are smaller and it doesn’t feel as sturdy.
Hope it lasts as long as my last one
I tried my son’s larger version of this one and I was sold on it. You can fix the handle to suit you. You can easily adjust the cutting height. The rear roller keeps the mower balanced if you go over the edge of the lawn. The handle can be lowered so you can pull the mower round the garden to where it’s required. The handle also folds down so you can store the mower upright taking up less space. It also has a handle on the main body of the machine for lifting and it’s quite lightweight.
The assembly instructions are easy to follow. I would definitely recommend this mower.
Well balanced lawnmower, on an even lawn stick to the surface, good cutting edges of the lawn. Quiet with 1600W motor, safe saving stacking position it’s very useful.
Good value for money,,good cutting job,,,assemble is easy enough,,,if you do it the easy way,,,,sturdy,,,only problem I found is the front wheels jump into the lower cutting setting if going over a bumper lawn,,,otherwise definitely recommend,,,,cuts right to the edge,,decent sized ,,,light weight,,,good all round
This is a review of the corded version. Having used Flymow Hover mowers for years but disappointed with the cheap build quality of my last one ( given to my daughter for her much smaller garden), I opted for this one. Using corded mowers has never been a problem for me, so that is not an issue. We’ve already cut the lawns 3 times this year, so after assembly which was really easy, I set the mower on level 2 and off I went. Very easy to handle, build quality was better than I expected. Gives a nice stripe effect, (better on level one, but the grass is a bit too damp). Very pleased and perfect for our medium size garden. the only negative point, the lead is about half the length needed, no real issue as I have lots of extension leads, but longer would have been better.
After using through half the summer I can say it has been easy to use, collects the grass well, folds up nicely for storage and has been a good purchase.
I was most disappointed to find that the product was delivered with defective batteries (of Chinese manufacture) as they would not take a charge. After some time spent with an electric meter it was found they were totally inert.- but following an approach to Flymo Customer Services I was kindly provided with replacement batteries of Husqvarna (Swedish manufacture) which performed perfectly. Otherwise the lawnmower appears of sound construction, operates well and is good value.
Maybe this particular consignment of lawnmowers should be checked for battery effectiveness.
Ordering and delivery from Amazon was, as usual first class.
Fantastic purchase and much better than the Bosch Mower I had
Very straightforward to assemble, haven’t used it yet, bought it in readiness for the spring
This mower was very easy to put together – less than 10 minutes, possible made easier because the mower it replaced was a similar model. Also I did not understand other reviewers problems with replacement blades. One of the reasons I like this mower is because it has a metal blade: this means you can take it off and sharpen it; something I had been doing with my old one (bought second hand from a car boot) for 8 years (and I have kept the old blade as a spare) therefore meaning one does not need a replacement blade, but talking of spares, whilst Flymo appeared to be out of stock of replacement blades there are plenty of non Flymo blades available that will fit a flymo.
Grass box lifted off and keeping grass from dropping ou
This 38cm mower with a 1600W engine will be suitable for medium sized lawns. It is advertised as a folding model, but the levers to fold the handle down are very stiff. The thickness of the plastic is not convincing, however the weight and maneuverability is good, so is the grass catcher basket.
Lets see whether it will last as long as my previous Bosch mower, 20 years, until the motor bearings go.
I bought this to replace our old hover Flymo which had been very good and which I had had for several years. Some of the reviews mentioned that the grass box was difficult to assemble and this is because of flex in the materials used. I found the best way to assemble it was with the lid on the floor and it didn’t take too long to assemble. the rest of the assembly was quite straight-forward and took little time. As I’m used to a hover mower, I did find it difficult to use a wheeled mower to begin with, once I got used to it, I think it was quicker than the hover!
Used for the first time and found this Flymo perfect for my small garden. Easy to raise/lower the blade and to clean after use. Noise level acceptable. Grass box not used because it was difficult to assemble unlike previous Flymo’s I’ve owned. Worked well without the grass box which is now assembled and ready for use next time grass needs cutting. [Fitting the handles together was not a problem. Printed instructions were useful as diagrams were a little unclear.]
I think it’s a great machine, but the problem I have is cleaning it. There are so many nooks and cranny’s that it take longer to clean than mow, so when all them holes are filled with dirt and grass that adds to the weight. May as well fill them hole’s with plastic
Fairly easy to assemble, cable a little short for garden, and wife finds it heavy, did find that it cuts the lawn very well leaving nice stripes. Was a bit awkward to store away but otherwise pretty good.
I had the size bigger by same manufacturer but it packed in so I got this slightly smaller one. Does the job just as well except having a smaller collection box, but that makes it easier to manoeuvre.
After I had ordered this from Amazon I got worried when I read so many bad reviews. However, I kept optimistic and when it arrived everything was there and it was relatively easy to assemble. I got it in early Spring when my old corded Flymo hover burned out so this is my first cordless. It took three mows to do all my lawns for the first cut of the year, each time stepping down a notch on the cutting height. The cutting level did not slip as some reviews say. I was very pleased with the effect; the wheels and roller produce a satisfying tramline effect which tends to fade to smoothness in a few days. We have a lot of lawn but I have worked out how to do it all in just two charges of the battery. Each mow takes about 35 minutes to run down after which it takes 4 to 5 hours to fully recharge the batteries. This is the main downside (the instruction book says 2 hours) as you have to plan enough time to recharge in combination with the weather and your own schedule. The batteries do stay charged for at least a week which is how frequently I try to do the mowing. It is true that you have to set the cutting height so as not to stress the motor or it will jam with grass and stop and the battery run down too quickly, so frequent mowing keeping the grass short is the key to happy mowing with this model. I have had it about 3 months now and am happy. We shall see how it measures up in the longer term.
It’s quite quiet, good even cut, good size grass box except it’s a slight fiddle to replace. Only complaint is the that the power cord could be a metre of so longer to match my old Bosch mower, so now I need to use an extension.
We have quite a large garden and this model is slightly too small to do the whole thing in one go – but we have lots of steps from the garage where it is stored to our upper lawn – so this was chosen for weight – either myself or my kids can easily carry it upstairs. It cuts very well and is easy and very light to use – the batteries do the square footage as advertised – very good product and excellent service from amazon.

Have now used this to mow the front and back lawns a few times and am pleased with the results. For the price it is great value. It replaces a Flymo 360XC which served me well for many years. The 10-meter cable is too short for my lawns and is permanently attached. So I decided to buy a 25-meter extension reel and can now mow front and back without changing the plug socket which is a plus. The old 360XC had a 15-meter detachable cable with its own reel built into the body of the mower, which is a tidier and more practical solution. The 380R has no facility for wrapping the cable when finished but has a wider 38 cm blade, a more powerful 1600W motor and a slightly bigger grass box (45 litre compared to 40 litre). After the initial cut I have moved from height setting 5 to 2. Have not had any issues with the height setting lever jumping from one setting to another, as reported by other buyers. Not sure the roller adds much value, but it will be a while before my lawns qualify for a striped finish . It folds down neatly and then stands up for easy compact storage. I looked at other similar electric corded mowers, but they were all much dearer without an obvious difference in specification.
Very good price. Lightweight and easy to manoeuvre. Has a roller so nice striped lawn when your done.
Assembly fairly straightforward once I’d found all the parts.
Supposed to be easy to store but I don’t want to loosen and tighten all the bolts each time I use it and wrapping the cable round the handle gets in the way of the hook for hanging the grass box.
Bought to replace our very elderly Pack-a-Mow which we loved. This works on the same principle, folding and stacking to that the mower can be stored upright in a small space.
Now, this mows well but stacks differently and there is slightly more “twiddling of knobs” to pack it up. In addition, whereas the old mower rolled nicely into a sturdy grass box and everything was secured, this one has a light flimsy grass box which hangs precariously from the mower handle to store. The grass box also comes in two pieces which snap together (as long as you have 3 hands). All in all the mower cuts well but is a bit of a faff to put away and I fear that the grass box may have a short life.
East to assemble (15 mins tops), it cut my lawn successfully, it is very easy to adjust the cutting height, and it folds down really small for storage.
Really not sure why all the bad reviews on here?
Easy to assemble and use , light weight so easily to move also stands so great for storage in shed
I wanted another Flymo to replace my previous one which got damaged. The new easy store model was just the thing, light in weight and easy to use and store.
I find this mower very easy to manoeuvre. It’s lightweight and does the job well. My 2nd flymo the first one lasted 14 years.
he two smaller batteries easier to handle than on tthe 330 model, and the operation, all round is easier to manage for me, an 86year old pensioner!
This mower was easy to assemble, good quality and a reasonable price. Mowing was very good with an easy to use height adjustment. Grass collection works very well and fits a lot into the grass box. Would definitely recommend this to anyone wanting a powerful good quality mower.
This machine is good value for its money.
Easy to use and assemble various cutting heights and gives a nice stripe to the lawn when cut.easy to clean and store.
Bought this after previous Flymo died. Main thing for me is the upright storage which means it can tuck into a small space leaving shed floor clear.Lowest cut is a bit high for me, but that’s the compromise
Only having a small lawn, wasn’t in need of a big mower to replace the small one that just broke, however this was cheaper than a smaller one I was looking at so decided to go for it. Set up wasn’t too hard, but it wasn’t completely straight forward either. It feels quite sturdy when made and can withstand a bit of throwing around. It’s not very light and can be a little clunky to manoeuvre around, but it’s manageable. The cutting area is greater than on the old machine, so less strides of the lawn needed, and the collection box is very generous so I needed half the emptying of my old machine. It’s not cutting as close to my edges as before (I have fences and grass up to them so no edges I can cut over) due to the wheels, so I’ll definitely need to use the strimmer more. The cable length is good, though I still have to use an extension cable due to where my plugs are in the house. The handle is quite high, higher than my previous. Being 5ft6 it’s ok for me, but can see it being a little tall if you’re shorter than that. Biggest minus for me is the adjustable blade height – I was under the impression this would be easy to use, but it’s not! It’s very stiff and I had to ask a friend to adjust it for me. Maybe it will get easier over time. That adjustment lever also doesn’t feel sturdy and I feel that if anything is going to break that’s the bit that will. Was a good deal for me at 90. Not sure I’d want to pay more.
Bought this to replace my old ‘pac a mow’ as I like the compact storage when out of use.
Did think it was a little flimsy when assembling but so far I am pleasantly surprised by its performance.
The height adjuster is very easy to use, it’s very manoeuvrable and the close edge cut is good.
Time will tell if it lasts as well as my pac a mow
Very easy to assemble, lightweight and easy to push around. Does a great job of cutting the lawn, the rear roller leaving nice stripes. The batteries are more than up to the job, with enough juice to do my 50sq m lawn two or three times. The fact it stores standing upright is the icing on the cake
I love this little mower. I am in my 70’s and have arthritis – I have to carry the mower through the house as do not have a back gate, but its not a problem as the mower is light and neat. I can push it along the lawn with my little finger! It was easy to put together and the grass box detaches and attaches in a jiffy.
Ordered for my new ‘small’ garden. Cuts perfectly and can just push as opposed to moving side to side as with most Flymo models. Used last Flymo for over 20 years, so decided to try this newer model. Folds completely small and can be stored against shed wall, out of the way on it’s end. Would definitely recommend
Small and compact, easy to set up. Be carefull of the wire, easy to get caught in the cog wheels at the base of the handle. The instructions are mostly ok but don’t explain how the handle is supposed to fold over which is something that should be there. The container fills up pretty quickly so you’ll need to empty more than once for each time you cut.
Niggles aside it does the job quite well and if you have a small garden this is ideal.
This is a lovely lawn mower quiet and easy to use, the battery life not so good if the grass is long or you have a big lawn.! Saying that it is lovely easy to use easy to empty has cutting lengths so for me it’s a great product. I had a corded one before never agai
