Need strong arms to rub into the wood. Leave to soak in then rub really hard to get a decent shine on the wood

Smell was not overbearing. Liked the lid which screwed on and off easily.Needs more than one coat but second coat will only need a quick polish over as the first coat sank in nicely.

Excellent product. Previously I’ve tried wax spray polish on antique pine furniture. They bring out the grain of the things well for a day but then the effect wears off and the furniture looks dry and faded again. This brings out the grain of the wood and leaves a lovely sheen that lasts. I’m very pleased.

Bought this product after much research. I just needed something clear and non-perfumed/coloured to treat the oak beam above our fireplace. I had to use an old tshirt to apply it as other cloths left bits of fluff on the wood. I left it for 15 minutes to soak in then buffed it off. The wood now looks and feels much better, the natural rings and marks on the wood are clearer and more defined. Will reapply every so often to keep the wood from drying out.

    Bought to treat oak beam

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI had some new wooden furniture that I wanted to protect and give a nice sheen to. This stuff seemed to fit the bill so I decided to take the plunge.

The tin arrived a bit battered, presumably from the transport to my house, but of course doesn’t affect the product its self.

The wax polish applied with ease, albeit multiple rubbings with the polishing pad, it took a small while to work it all in but when it did, I left it for a few minutes and then wiped it all dry. It left a very smooth finish, with a slight sheen which is what I wanted. A few coats and I could have had a gloss-like sheen but that’s just down to personal preference, this wax can cater to all levels.

I’d thoroughly recommend this product, just make sure you have a good amount of time spare before you start using this product into your woodwork, you’ll need it. Plenty of polishing pads and a nice clean rag after will work wonders.

Overall: Thoroughly recommend, I never thoroughly recommend unless I’m sure products will be up to the job but this one I can do so without hesitation. A great British product at not a bad price. Works well, great sheen and an amazing feeling upon its finish.

This wax was quite difficult to use as it was so hard! Expected something creamier and because it wasnt did not visibly sink into my wood and lacked the lustre I was expecting.

First time I’ve used wood wax before, it went on easily and after 15 minutes or so it buffed up lovely. I read that if you want a glossy effect you can achieve this by buffing more.
I wanted soft sheen snd this was easy.
    I would recommend

Yes, I’ve worked this stuff in to table tops, guitar bodies and leather. It’s easy to apply (might need warming and softening in the winter) and has no whiff of lavender or the like. Particularly effective on leather footwear if you want make your boots water resistant.

Great Wax but I would suggest you use sparingly. I wrongly assumed the excess wax would soak into the wood. I used a fine wire wool to rub it over gently which resulted in a lovely soft sheen.

I applied a thin layer on the wooden worktop around the kitchen sink and it protects the wood perfectly: water droplets collect on top and no penetration of wood. I plan to restore/refresh some other wooden furniture and feel confident it will do the job.

I accidentally scored my boyfriends floor moving about some furniture & was definitely in his less than good books. When this arrived I was worried I was going to make everything worse, but it was super easy to use and made the floor look better in seconds. The medium colour worked well with what I consider to be pretty standard floorboards, it didn’t make the marks vanish, but made them look like they were part of the wood.

So far used it on 8 dining chairs and a solid pine table, all approx 20 years old, in combination with a wood cleaner from the same company. Works a treat – very noticeable difference between the treated and non-treated chairs as I did them. No scent, no colour, just leaves wood protected with a nice sheen. Should extend the life of our furniture for another 20 years!

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersOverall this stuff did a decent job. Before and after photos show the difference. I cleaned with washing up liquid and water. Then using very fine wire wool rubbed this stuff in going with the grain where possible. It leaves a thin layer of wax that is initially dull looking. It’s important to leave plenty of time, half hour or so, for the wax to dry. Then I gave it a final buff which shined it up. Really pleased.
The top of the table was too far gone so needed sanding, but this saved a lot of work as I don’t need to sand the legs now. Great stuff.

    Very good.

I have a lot of wooden furniture of oak and mango wood that require waxing a least twice per year as recommended. I’ve used this wax for first time and does the job really well. I’ve ordered more. I tin was enough to wax my new book case of 10 large shelves of mango wood bringing a nice shine to them. They need another coat but over time the wax will get better with regular use. This wax is easy to apply and and the effort of buffing is a little easier. Leaves a great smell in the room. This can be used on any shade of wood.
Will do just as a great job as more expensive brands that I’ve used and so are good value for money.

Golden Review Award: 16 From Our UsersThis beeswax polish is very similar to that which my husband used to make to an old British recipe. The polish smells just as it should: Beeswax.

The polish has no other smell (ie. does not smell of lavender). When applied to wood it brings it back up to a lovely shine, just like the old days.

We are pleased it’s manufactured in the UK. It’d good value especially because beeswax is expensive to buy (if it can be found).

Golden Review Award: 59 From Our UsersAfter stripping my dining room table using wire wool and mentholated spirit, I used this wax to bring back the shine… At first I put way too much on and I ended up having to take it all off and start again
This is a good wax but don’t be fooled into thinking it’s a quick, easy process! Spread thinly, allow 30 minutes to dry in between layers and gently buff (I used an old cotton t-shirt) It needed 4 coats of wax to give it a sheen & protection . Its hard work but the results are good.
You can see the grain on the table (which is dark wood) and it’s got a slight sheen to it. This won’t give you a high French polished look.
I have found that no matter how much I buff the wood, it marks quickly. My Chihuahua decided to walk across the table (I know, I know ) and it left paw prints in the wax. You can also see fingerprints etc. No matter how much I buff it, it does leave a slightly sticky residue hence it marking.
It’s not perfect but that’s wax for you!

I wanted to protect a coffee table I had treated with wood stain. Rubbed this in, buffed it with a soft cloth and it looks great. Tested it by tipping an egg cup of water on it and it just sat on the top in a large bead, very impressive. Also, a little goes a long way.

I used this product for a wooden shuffle board game. This polish is ideal as it lets the counters glide easily over the surface

  96. AnnabelSunseri says:

     United Kingdom

    Used it for 2 things:

    1. I was cleaning my oven grill with a brillo pad on my worktop (stupidly), and between the grill where the brillo was accidentally rubbing the worktop it had left clear lines of thin scratches, leaving the worktop with opaque marks all over it.

    2. I have a hardwood kitchen table and at a house party a year or two ago someone must’ve sat 2 beer bottle caps on it which were wet. The next morning there were perfect black beer bottle shaped stains on the table.

The worktop I just rubbed the beeswax in, left it to dry, and polished it out, repeated 3 times and the worktop is as good as new.

For the table I sanded it first with fine grit sandpaper, which obviously initially made it look worse. I then cleaned it and then polished it with beeswax and it looks brand new again.

Would definitely recommend this product for finishing / refinishing wood!

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersJust what the wooden furniture needed. Easy to apply and rub off. Leaves a polished semi matt finished and no a highly polished finish which was what I was after. Seems to go a long way and last a long time. Particularly good at bring back the original ultra of the oak table. I keep mine in the fridge so the polish is hard so not to get too much on the application cloth.
