I’ve only had this wall hose a couple of weeks, so I cannot comment on whether it will continue to perform well. However, at the moment, I’m delighted with it. It was easy to fix to the wall, easy to extend and easy to retract. It’s only a 20 metre hose, ample for my garden. I give it a jerk upwards to fix the hose in the extended position and I pull gently downwards on the hose to feed it back into its box. It’s like magic how it neatly recoils , moving smoothly from side to side. Also, it was heavily discounted by Amazon, which made it good value for money. In short, it’s excellent – and I hope it will still be working well in 12 months time and beyond.

This is the best quality hose I’ve owned! Much much better than Hozelock or B and Q own brand which I’ve had before and found their hoses tend to twist and curl up and prevent water flowing. however this Gardena just works as you want time after time. I used to hate manually winding up the previous hoses which would never seemed possible without removing gardening gloves and then getting your hands wet and muddy from the hose. Now I just release the tension on the Gardena hose and it rewinds neatly into the reels. I can keep my gloves on for this so no muddy wet hands. It was easy enough to put on the wall as long as you can drill the holes and have two good fixings it’s easy to put it on the wall, much easier than assembling Hozelock or B and Q wind up reels. We’ve had it several months now and I wish I had bought it years ago
Es caro. Me esper al Prime para poder comprarlo. Despus de comprar otras herramientas y mangueras de otras marcas que me han salido malas voy comprando de esta marca que es mucho ms resistente y de calidad. En este caso es muy prctico, se recoge de un tirn cuando acabas y queda ordenada la manguera, ya no la tengo tirada por el suelo. Encantado.

Only had this for a few weeks but I am pleased with how easy this is to use and store. The manufacturer says it can be left outside in the winter – still to see if the Gardena connecters remain so secure and water tight.
Beautifully manufactured and effortless to operate.
I expected this hose to swivel around with a plastic-to-plastic scraping noise but no, it is made with quality materials and it rotates smoothly and quietly without effort. It installs easily and the hose pulls out and returns easily too. This garden hose was a present and It is my new favorite toy.
Some say they had this screwed to the wall in 5 minutes but I cannot lie, it took me closer to 25 minutes. It is not every day I drill holes in my exterior wall so I took my time to make sure I did a good job. I am not happy with the length of the small water hose they provide in the box, no matter how close you are to the tap, the small water hose they supply will probably not reach it. You will either have to cut a bit from the main hose “which I would not do”, or buy a longer hose to reach the tap. My exterior wall had an uneven surface so I used three thick rubber washers to bolt the unit to the wall so the plastic support would not distort under the pressure of me tightening it. I also put grease on the small screws to make sure they did not rust and to make disassembly easier if I wanted to take it inside during the winter.
One down side. I am not happy with the manufacturer’s customer services, not supplier’s customer
services but the manufacturers. I asked them the width of the unit when it was swiveled back against the wall and, if they could supply me with a right-angled snap tight connector so the feed hose would hang straight down and and not rub against the wall. I was totally ignored.
However, this garden hose exceeds my expectations.
Do not make my mistake! Drill brick with a size 8 masonry drill bit. I only had a size 10 and drilled into the mortar, the result was it falling off. It’s very heavy, especially with water. Only fixed it’s wonderful, winds back very easily.Be mindful about its placing -The pipe from tap to the reel isn’t that long

Lo que ms me gusta es la comodidad que proporciona este sistema de manguera enrollable. No te da ninguna pereza usarla por la facilidad que supone el recogerla. Es fcil de instalar y de momento funciona muy bien. Los materiales parecen de calidad y el tamao es adecuado. Tambien se gira el carrete para facilitar las cosas. La recomiendo a quien busque este tipo de manguera con carrete autoenrollable.

My last similar unit cost me approx 60 and performed well. I had to replace it after a workman on a ladder decided to stand on it and broke the re-wind mechanism. I buy Hozelock for my garden irrigation systems and like the quality so decided that for the replacement I would pay the extra (about 50) for there Hozelock unit. I am glad I did skas it is very well made an operates so easily and consistently. The previous unit had the problem that when the hose was pulled out to the required point it confused the last pull for the trigger pull that results in the hose zipping back into the unit. This one works smoothly and correctly every time and is a pleasure to use. Pricey but worth it for the quality and ease of use.

Gardena Enrouleur de tuyau Mural RollUp L
Trs satisfait de mon achat qui tait en promo sur le site.
Facile monter pour un bricoleur dbutant/moyen : reprer l’emplacement des vis sur le mur avec la partie du socle ( dmonter de l’enrouleur avant) et un crayon. Il ne reste plus qu’ percer.
Fonctionne parfaitement et de r-enroule trs bien.
Le seul dtail qui me chagrine un peu, c’est le systme de dmontage de l’enrouleur pour le retirer du socle. Il ncessite un tourne vis. Personnellement, j’aurais bien vu un systme avec une goupille par exemple, pour un dmontage rapide.
La bonne surprise dans la boite : des adaptateurs de tailles diffrentes sont fournis pour se raccorder l’arrive d’eau et connecter l’enrouleur.
Avvolgitubo a parete
Che spettacolo questo avvolgitubo. Non ce la facevo pi di avere il tubo in gomma lungo 30 metri buttato a terra. E questo si avvolge automaticamente ogni volta che lo ripongo dopo l’utilizzo. Consiglio a chiunque abbia un po’ di terreno attorno a casa
Fantastic hose reel.
Made in the EU! It was easy to mount on the wall, all instructions and fixes are supplied. The retraction mechanism is smooth and strong. The wall mount is very stiff and feels like it will take the weight easily (the plastic is marked PA60-GF30, high strength nylon with 30% glass fibre infill). Even the hose fittings supplied are well made and the hose connectors pre-lubricated, great attention to detail. The 20m was perfect for my 12x12m garden, retraction takes a bit of learning, trying to do it too gently causes it to lock, letting it do it’s thing works better, it has a speed reducer so won’t smash back into the reel.

Leicht zu montieren und ganz leicht zum anschlieen am Wasserhahn. Fr uns genau die richtige Schlauchlnge. Garten ca. 200m, damit kommt man berall hin. Qualitt ist sehr gut. Auf und Abrollen des Schlauches geht ganz leicht, dank der Rollen. Sehr zufriede
Wässern mal ganz einfach
Perfekter kann bewssern nicht sein. Hahn aufdrehen, den Schlauch ziehen so lange man ihn braucht und los geht es. Nach dem Gebrauch rollt sich der Schlauch selbststndig auf und liegt nicht tagelang lustlos in der Gegend herum 😉
Eine gute Wahl
Ich bin mit der Schlauchbox zufrieden, die Montage ist einfach. Sie ist in der Bedienungsanleitung und auch bei Gardena (aber auch bei Amazon) in einem Video gut beschrieben.
Der Erdspie ist robust genug, wenn man an dem Schlauch nicht zieht, wie ein Bulle (vierbeiniger)” ist alles auch ausreichend stabil (wir haben Sandboden).

Hätten wir schon früher kaufen sollen!
Anbau, war sehr leicht und auch die Verarbeitung ist in Ordnung.
Wir hatten vorher einen Schlauchwagen, da war es immer sehr mhsam den Schlauch auf zu Rollen. Aber mit der Schlauchboot kein Problem mehr.

Das Einbohren war beim ausgetrockneten Boden nicht einfach und man kommt schnell schief rein. Das sieht dann nicht gut aus.
Langzeiterfahrung habe ich nicht. Zunchst ist das Teil sehr gut. Der Rasenroboter verlang aufgerumte Schluche und das kriegt man damit hin.

Die Montage an einer Klinkerwand war problemlos. Alles gut durchdacht. Nach 3 Wochen Anwendung sehr zufrieden! Eine groe Verbesserung gegenber dem Schlauchwagen. Schlauchlaenge vor Kauf gut nach Gartengroesse auswhlen. Sehr deutliche Empfehlung
Wenn der Untergrund stimm
Wir haben drei von den Schlauchboxen um unser Haus montiert und genieen den Luxus endlich keine Schluche mehr krftezehrend aufwickeln zu mssen. Das funktioniert tadellos und gab noch nie Probleme.
Die Montage des Spie in das Erdreich geht schnell, einfach und ohne weiteres Werkzeug. Allerdings ist eine der Boxen wegen dem leicht sandigen Untergrund etwas wackelig. Der Untergrund ist essentiellen fr die Stabilitt der Box.

Kein Schlauchchaos meh
Ich freue mich sehr ber dieses tolle Teil! Zuvor lag stndig der Schlauch in unserem Vorgarten verteilt, weil mein Mann immer keine Zeit” hatte, ihn wieder ordentlich aufzuhngen.
Das gehrt nun zum Glck der Vergangenheit an: ein kurzer Zug und schwupp – schon ist der Schlauch feinsuberlich aufgerollt.
Schwenkbar in alle Richtungen ist das gute Stck auch, so dass man wirklich berall hinkommt.
Klasse Schlauchbox
Die Schlauchbox tut was sie soll. Der Schlauch wir ohne weiters aufgerollt, auch wenn der ganze Schlauch abgerollt ist und unter Druck steht. Optisch etwas klobig,aber das ist der Lnge des Schlauches von 25 Metern geschuldet. Das befestigen sollte man am besten zu zweit machen.
Funktioniert super!
Es funktioniert nach einem Monat noch tadellos. Was ich aber an Gardenaschluchen insgesamt schtze ist, dass sie sich von selbst verdrehen bzw. verzwirbeln. Andere Schluche machen ja besonders beim wieder einrollen was sie wollen. Genau deshalb haben wir dieses Teil gekauft und wir sind happy!

Habe dieses Produkt gekauft da es einem die Arbeit schon erleichtert und das sehr gut macht Spa damit zu arbeiten ! Das einzigste was ein wenig rgerlich ist der Wasser Druck muss komplett vom Schlauch sein sonst rollt er sich nicht ein da zu wenig Platz ! Schade ein wenig mehr Platz und es wrde auch mit Wasser im Schlauch funktionieren ! Aber so kann er wen man es vergessen wrde im Winter nicht Pltzen da kein Wasser im Schlauch steht 😉

Einfache Montage, aufgeräumte Lösung
Der Schlauchwagen stand immer im Weg. Die Box ist da schon perfekt und aufgerumt. Der Schlauch einfach, automatisch und schnell aufgerollt. Ich hatte etwas Bedenken ob das Gewicht von 3 Schrauben gehalten wird. Aber die Montage ist einfach und bis jetzt hlt es. Aber nach 1 Monat kann ich wenig zur Robustheit sagen.

Ich finde es ist eine absolut tolle Alternative zu dem Gardena Wandschlauch Box.
Da wir nix an die Wand schrauben knnen ist das absolut die Beste Lsung. Das Reindrehen in den Boden ist kinderleicht. Der Schlauch lsst sich leicht wegziehen und das automatische aufrollen ist einfach total praktisch so hat man nicht immer den Schlauch rumliegen oder muss ihn extra mit der Hand komplett aufrollen. Ist die Investition wert.

The best hose I’ve had, tried many expandable hoses, all either leaked or split. Decided to go back to a solid hose.
Yes it’s expensive but after you’ve had 3 or 4 other hoses you could have bought this one from the start and saved yourself a lot of time,money and hassle.
Komfortable Ausstattung.
Die Schlauchbox hngt in der Garage um einerseits in den Vorgarten zu kommen, andererseits aber auch in den Hauptgarten. Das ausziehen des Schlauches bei einer Lnge von 35m sollte man man schon im Vorfeld erledigen. Whrend des gieens bentigt man schon etwas Kraft um den Schlauch mit sich zu ziehen. Das ein bzw. aufrollen ist kein Problem.

Just a little difficult to pull hose .
A little expensive but wow it’s such a nice hose system to own, I wish I’d invested in one of these before instead of my old 20m tangled hosepipe that I’d have to lug around and tidy up after every single use. Nice controlled reel-in on retraction, you could almost let go of it but I want it to last well so I walk back with it each time. Great for quickly topping up the bird bath or watering pots around the place.
Recommend pacing out how many metres length you’d need before ordering.

The unit feels good quality, is well made and sturdy. Easy enough to mount but a drill is needed. I have mounted it at the side of the house in a narrow passageway, it is a little bulky. It’s early days yet but the hose return mechanism works well, I hope it’s as reliable as the reviews I read prior to purchase. Quick delivery as well. Can recommend this item.
Endlich kein lästiges aufwickel
Kurz: Besser geht es nicht. Beim einrollen jedoch darauf achten, das ggf. kein Schlamm am Schlauch ist, sonst landet er in der Schlauchbox. Hoffe das die Haltbarkeit passt, dann gibt es nichts besseres.
Sinnvolles Produk
Rasche Lieferung. Nach ersten Einstzen bin ich vom Gert berzeugt. Beim Abrollen schon etwas Kraft notwendig, dafr ist das Aufrollen dann um so angenehmer. Qualitt am ehesten vom UV-Licht gefhrdet, Schlauchqualitt gut. Befestigung muss gut verankert sein. Braucht dazu geeignetes Dbelmaterial. Vorteil: steht einem nicht immer im Weg herum!

This is the best solution for your garden hose to be neatly stowed and ready to use. The reel seems very sturdy so far.
My criticism: the “mouth” where the hose extends/retract is open. By that I mean there’s no dust cover protecting the inside on the reel. This makes it exposed to the elements. In my case, I had a wasp trying to nest on the inside of it. Overtime I think debris might build up on the inside causing it to seize up the reel. A simple “hairbrush” cover on the mouth of the reel could fix this issue.
Also, the hose connecting point on the outside of the reel (right in the middle of it) if connected at an angle from the tap, puts stress on the hose connecting point, which I’ve noticed it started to bend. I have fixed that putting a 15cm spring over the hose at the connection to avoid bending and secured it with a plastic fastener. Again. A small oversight that could be reinforced from factory.
Despite these small shortfalls, it is still a great and sturdy tool to help keeping your garden area very neat.

Easy to mount and much more sturdy than the hozelock 40m hose. The hozelock one only gives you short screws, which reviews show that it can be prone to coming off the wall, but this Gardena hose comes with decent length screws.

Nothing to dislike easy to install the fixings where sturdy the only criticism is the jet nozzle it comes with is very basic so order a gun nozzle at the same time.I placed my auto hose reel high up on wall but it’s prefrence.
A wall mounted hose that won’t let you down.
If you’re considering buying a wall mounted hose with automatic roll up then there’s only a few options out there. Now the Gardena is the more pricier of the one’s available but it’s for good reason. It’s well made and designed to last. You only need to look at some of the reviews for the other one’s and you’ll see that people have had plenty of issues with them failing. This hose from Gardena has a much higher build quality and should last a long time with proper care. It can also be left out all year round. It’s a really rock solid unit and works really well. Installation is pretty simple, just make sure to install it somewhere sturdy, we chose our back brick wall and it’s perfect. It’s so much better having it there all the time so if you’re going to get one of these, think about the long term and get yourself one of these as it will pay off in the end.

Well made and easy to install
It took me around ten minutes to install the hosepipe using the included accessories – simply screw the metal spike into the ground and then attach the unit to the top. The reel unit is easily removed for storage over the winter or when not in use if required. The water is fed through the reel from a standard hose connector.
In use the ratchet is smooth and easy to use. You can unreel as much hose as you need then when you are finished it will pull the hose back with just a gentle tug on the end.
It is a little bit pricey, but should last for many many years so in my opinion represents good value for money.
A hefty piece of kit!
First impressions of this were good, it’s larger than I was expecting and when you get it out the box it’s obvious how good quality and well made it is. I was impressed with the instructions too, they are simple and clear so it’s easy to understand how you need to install it. The installation itself took a little bit of muscle getting the spike in the ground and reaching the full depth, I’d definitely recommend doing it after a rainy day! It obviously needs to go in grass so wouldn’t work on patio.
In use it works well, it’s a great hose and extends and retracts really smoothly. I also like how it’s frost proof and UV protected so it should be fairly weather resistant and last well. I’ve not had any issues with it yet so can’t provide any constructive criticism to date, other than that it’s quite heavy!
Overall I’ve been really pleased with this so would happily recommend if it suits your budget.

Sooo sturdy….so amazing…so worth the price….don’t even have words to describe how amazing it is. It is very tough….sturdy product…easy to use…and easy to install….worth every penny. This item is a must for people that have a garden….enough hose length to go round…..no extensions needed…The roll-up system is amazing because the hose gets rolled up automatically…just pull on it once….to release the braking system and the hose will go back in by its own….Worth every penny…would recommend it to anyone.

Garden hose
This hose reel is a fairly standard good quality auto reel that you may have seen before but with one difference. Instead of mounting it on the wall, it mounts on a ground spike. This allows you to mount it anywhere in the garden rather than having to be next to a house or building. You do of course still need access to a tap, but you can run a fixed piece of hosepipe for that.
The ground spike is easy to screw into the soil, though make sure you do this while the ground is soft. It comes with a screw handle, which after use cleverly stores in the spike so you don’t lose it. The reel itself can be removed from the spike easily for winter storage without having to take the spike out. The spike comes with a weather proof cap to protect it when you do this.
You could mount it next to a house too. This may be useful for those that are not comfortable drilling to fit, or don’t want to pay someone else to do it. No tools are required (except a small screwdriver to assemble the cover).
Other than this unique feature, it is a standard self retracting reel. It comes with a short tap connection hose, 3 tap adapters for different size taps and a spray attachment. It uses the standard push fit bayonet connectors so you can use attachments from other brands like Hozelock. It is made to the usual high quality Gardenia standard.

Now here’s something different. We have a wall mounted hose in a plastic housing that’s about ten years old but until now I’d not come across anything like this Gardena hose which is intended to be fixed into the ground – whether in earth or the edge of a lawn – by means of a spike rather like a bigger version of the kind of system used to install a rotary washing airer.
The product arrives in Gardena packaging and would make a fabulous gift for keen gardeners. Gardena is typically a little more expensive than other brands but this is a well known German gardening brand with a deservedly high reputation for quality which since 2007 has been a subsidiary of Husqvarna, an equally reputable Swedish brand.
This hose box is easy to install and exudes the kind of quality you’d expect from Gardena. It’s well thought out and though I had reservations about the installation fixture, the metal ground spike mechanism worked well.
There is a 1.5m connecting hose between the outdoor tap and the body of the hose. Not enough? – No reason why you couldn’t substitute a longer connecting piece of your own. The hose, incidentally, is 11mm in diameter.
This hose feels sturdy. It’s easy to move and swivels perfectly in a 360 degree circle. The hose extends smoothly and easily and with the patented RollControl technology here there’s no tangles. When you stop pulling out the hose, the built-in locking device automatically engages at the length you want it. A slight pull upwards and the hose is automatically rolled up.
This Gardena hose has UV and frost protection which for me, as the owner of a wall mounted competitor brand of hose is great as my hose has become very much discoloured and the hose end piece has suffered in winter frosts.
My current hose, by contrast to this, takes effort to pull out – and to reel in too by means of a manual winding mechanism on the wall mounted housing. This Gardena version takes away all the effort and increases the ease of watering plants.
The hose box is compact and looks smart yet unobtrusive in its grey tones – perfectly blending in with the garden unlike some hose boxes which can stand out and mar the overall vista. The hose box has even been adjusted to the height of Gardena mowing robots – if you’re lucky enough to have one – so they’ll mow the lawn around it without any problems.
This Gardena hose box is truly innovate technology. It comes with a sprayer with two different spray patterns – and a long 5 year warranty. A really excellent product, you could of course place more than one hose box within a larger sized garden. Once you try that swivel feature, you’ll find it hard to go back to a regular design of hose.

This is really very sturdy. I couldn’t be happier with this item!, tidies up everything, easy enough to install and once in place absolutely superb. I love the way it keeps everything tidy and retracts very easily back after use.
A real god send for keeping things tucked away and also for winter protection.

Well… the answers to these, plus perhaps, one or two, extra, questions, we might accidentally stumble across, during the course of my meandering, and often erratic, review, we should clear the lawn , put on some suitable hosing music (Any suggestions for “hosing” songs would be appreciated… ), and pop on our gardening gloves , as we take a closer look… …
It arrives in a large shiny, professional, retail ready box.
It makes an excellent first impression.
Out of the box, and the contents are easily catalogued:

Very nice indeed.
All the ingredients (Yup… I am going for ingredients…) needed to get you up and running, straight out of the box.
It is a complete, and comprehensive set, and that is always a pleasant surprise.
The hose has a few remarkable features.
So let’s have a wee look at some of those, and make some remarks.
The case measures : 54 x 23.5 x 43.7 centimetres
It weighs in at : 6.4 Kilograms
The large case, that protects, and stores the hose, is made from thick hard plastic.
This allows the hose to stay out in the garden all year round, as it is frost proof, rainproof, snow proof, and very strong, sturdy, and very strong.
The hose system can be rolled up automatically, safely and reliably because of the centrifugal brake and integrated hose guide.
It rewinds steadily without twisting or kinking.
It is a far cry from the old garden hose we used to play with as kids, which was full of kinks, and had to be unkinked every time we needed to use it.
Mainly to soak an unsuspecting passer-by, or parent.
I would not recommend doing that now.
My parents are in their 80’s and would definitely not appreciate that now, if they ever did.
The case can be swivelled 180 degrees, giving you flexibility, and making sure the hose will not kink, or get stuck at a corner.
The case can be wall mounted, and is designed specially to do so.
Nozzles, spray guns and scrubbing brushes can be stored on the wall bracket where they will be ready and at hand.
The build quality is excellent.
This hose is basically the Rolls-Royce of hoses.
Everything about it screams quality.
The case is strong, solid, and build like a tank.
The hose is strong, durable, and finished to the highest standard, as is the wall mounting case, and wall mounting accessories.
Setting the hose system up is very easy.
The easy to follow, and well-written instructions, make installing the hose case onto a wall, a piece of cake.
It takes around half an hour, working carefully, and making sure at every stage that the instructions are followed.
A wee bit of DIY knowledge helps, and making sure you have the right tools is a big help.
Once installed the hose is a joy to use.
It is smooth to pull out, and smooth when it recoils itself, and coils itself away in its housing.
The recoil system is strong, powerful, and very well-designed
The hose is great to use, with a good powerful spray, and an easy to adjust nozzle.
The whole system is incredibly well-built, and this shows through in its ease of use, and its user-friendly operation.
It is a pleasure to use.
No downsides, or concerns, were noted during testing.
Value wise, the hose is not cheap.
But you really do get what you pay for, with some things.
This hose is a great example.
It is the Rolls-Royce of hoses, the Concorde of garden equipment.
It is a top of the range hose, and the price reflects that.
Taking this into account, the hose is actually very good value.
It should last a lifetime, and replacing it with numerous cheaper hoses, would eventually cost more.
I would happily pay the asking price, after having my test drive.
I was sold on it, the moment I unpacked it.
Overall, the hose is brilliant.
It is brilliantly designed, well put together, and it performs like the top of the range hose it is.
It costs what it costs, and it is very good value.

I did quite a lot of research regarding the best self retractable garden hose and this came up trumps. Do not regret it at all. Easy to assemble, everything you need is in the box and ready to go within 5-10 minutes. Good quality materials as well.
Delivery was fast as always and i was not disappointed, quality pipe with anti kink and a strong retract even if the hose is water filled, what’s more this pivots to the full 180 . The hose reel itself is easy enough to unroll but has a firm rewind that ensures the hose is fully retracted after every use. Particularly impressive is the horizontal slider which automatically and evenly distributes the hose on the reel.
Basically I’m surprised I’m so pleased with a garden hose but this pure quality and while more expensive than some others you really do get what you have paid for. The father-in-law has the HozeLock version and he was experiencing problems with it getting jammed on the auto reel every now and again which swayed me towards this. Pay half, you pay twice, ey?
Wouldn’t have any other brand now. The Gardena has been excellent – it certainly feels like a premium and well-engineered product.
I highly recommend this garden hose you won’t be disappointed.
Fantastic hose
I’ve had several cheap hoses in recent years, because they’ve never lasted due to quality and design issues.
This GARDENA hose is much better build quality that the previous brands I’ve used. The connections are secure and watertight for a start. It just feels robust and that it really is up to the job.
The hose pulls out from its wall mounted case with ease, and retracts back just as easily. The case was simple to attach to the wall.
You generally get what you pay for in life, and this hose shows that if you’re happy to pay more you do indeed get a better hose.
Highly recommended.
Outstanding design and trusted gardening brand
Well, I never thought I’d go all waxing lyrical about a garden hose! This is a great design start to finish. Super usable and entirely practical if you have a lawn or can get it fixed in a new poured concrete base. If you check out the pictures above you can see how simple and effective the design is. All the usual hose ‘issues’ are solved. It’s always there ready. The wind in and wind out functions are elegant. No more tiresome manual winding or (to a marked degree) kinking of the hose. It’s a steady, safe motion.
Fix it where you want, close to a outdoor tap is naturally ideal, and it’s then a feature of your garden. Fixing is fine in grass. Everything is included to screw the base into the lawn. Placing the hose unit itself is easy. You don’t need to be a DIY expert. I am also assuming you can do the same in a fresh poured concrete patio say. Of course, if the ground/surface is too hard or soft you may have difficulties, so choose your day or location carefully.
All in it’s hard to fault this item. Construction, design, function all superior. I suppose price is my only gripe, but you’re likely getting the best available hose at this point in time. And it should last if you take care. Solid 4**** for me.
Easy to use hose
This is a heavy duty, well made hose and automatic reel holder. The unit is quite bulky and heavy but once installed it is a dream to use. The reel is easy to install if you can drill holes in bricks but really needs 2 people for a quick and accurate installation. All the parts are included and once attached to the wall and the connector is on the tap then you are ready or turn on the water and use. The hose head is the twist type which I find easy to use and can get anything from a fine mist to a powerful jet. It is easy to change the head to a sprinkler or trigger system, just click it in. To use the hose just pull it gently and when you stop pulling the hose stays in place. If you give the hose a sharp tug then the hose will start to retract. It is important to measure how big a hose you need to buy because once you have this length it is not possible for the holder to reel in a longer hose than it is designed for. The hose is a good thicknes and should last several years. The unit is pretty expensive but it is too quality.
Compares very well with competitio
This has replaced my ageing Hozelock auto reel. It was easy to mount and didn’t take long. Best to use a spirit level otherwise you’ll find it either swings away from the wall or into the wall if the bracket isn’t level. The mechanism works a treat and the hose pipe is very good quality. This is a premium quality item, hence the price reflects this. Although expensive, I could never be without one of these auto return hosepipes now. Once you’ve owned one you won’t go back.
I’m happy with this and no reservations to recommend it.
