First of all: you always have to remember what you spent on the device. It is not a military standard for tens of thousands of pounds, but an entry-level device – especially for beginners and children.
Overall the device serves its purpose. Our 6-year-old copes well with this, conveniently switches between “surface scan” and “pinpoint function” for more accurate localisation of objects, and also finds everything possible. Nails, screws, coins – everything included.
So far, I can not say anything negative about the device.
Great item, as a beginner I bought this to search for a ring lost in garden waste 20 feet container. I was able to adjust the settings to eliminate the pickup from the reinforcement bars in the concrete
This metal detector from GORPORE has already given us hours of fun. We haven’t found anything significant yet so we’re being patient. For the price we paid, I consider it very good quality. It was easy enough to put together. I like how it’s so lightweight and I find it quite comfortable to use. The headphones are of decent quality and the display is easy to read and understand. Still works well and we recommend it. One day we’ll find a stash of pirates buried treasure.
This Gorepore metal detector is a good value and reasonably priced metal detector. My 12 year old nephew wanted one for his birthday having seen our kids use theirs when we were away together recently on a weekend break. He wants one for himself to go looking for treasures local to his house.
This is a lightweight item for him which can be adjusted easily for his height. It has all the features you would want such as audio and visual target identification and a good size LCD display which is clear and easy to read. Good quality unit at an affordable price. Comes with a good range of accessories and is perfect for beginners. Easy to assemble and works very well. It requires two 9V batteries which are not included. The headphones are comfortable to wear for any length of period and work great. Comes with a carry bag and doesn’t take up too much space when storing away.
Definitely keeps my nephew more active and outdoors which can only be a good thing.

Easy to assemble.
This metal detector is lightweight and easy to assemble. I conducted an air test with various metal objects, and I must say that it proved very good depth and recognized the most! Take it to the beach, it did give a lot of false readings due to its proximity to the sea, but by adjusting the sensitivity, I managed to reduce the false beeps. This is ideal for beginners and children. . Overall, I am very happy.
bought it for my son, he really like taking it to the beach, its easy to use, lightweight, and also tells you the difference what’s under the sand, so he could decide to dig it out or not. the best I like is, it only need small place to store it.

Very accurate and reliable, also not difficult to use, would definitely recommend this.
I have a few metal detectors as i like to have different setups for different situations, this is my go to lightweight model for longer walks where i know I’m going to be doing decent distances.
The reason i went with this one was due to the handle mainly, it sits a lot different than most in the way that the handle is comfortable in hand but then the support comes up and round behind my wrist making it much easier on the arm.
The mode settings are a nice touch for when i know what I’m likely to be finding so i can switch over the discriminator to pick up just a specific type of coins or metal.
It does fold up into a few pieces if needed, but i tend to leave it pre built up so I’m not fiddling around building it up, alth9ough that only takes a few minutes to do, it also comes with the usual basic headphones and shovel, however i have a couple of different ones which i prefer so don’t tend to use these myself.
Don’t forget, to get started, you’ll need a couple of the big square batteries, but apart from that it works straight away.
This is a great device to get any kid excited about exploring the outdoor. Make them watch a few TV shows about treasure, get them one of these and before you know it your kids begging you to take them out on long walks.
The GORPORE metal detector is great, it’s simple and easy to assemble, comes with it’s own little spade and headphones and works really well. There are several different sensitivity settings, the coil is waterproof and it’s a nice lightweight design that’s comfortable on the arms. You can select different metals to search for and it can penetrate a decent depth under the soil.
The device also comes with a one year warranty and overall value for money is really good. Good device, happy with the purchase.

I wanted a basic detector that I could use to teach my son how to do it.
We’ve had a beach day and found a few coins and some jewellery which he was amazed at, (nothing expensive).
The metal detector takes two 9V batteries which are not supplied with it.
It’s very easy to use and adjust the setting via the touch buttons on the panel.
The display is nice and clear and the headphones work just great.
It’s not too heavy and is quite comfortable to hold for long periods.
Me and my son have both enjoyed using this so far so it’s all good and I have decided to rate it 5 stars.
My little boy always wants a metal detector every time when we were on a beach holiday so I decided to buy one for him this Christmas. We haven’t actually used it yet but it was well packaged. I have tried to assembled it and it is really easy to set up. I’m sure my little one will be happy over the moon once he opens his present.
