Needing something to add some light to the back room of our house and this is perfect. It’s also handy being smart so we can change the warmth of the light during the day and evening, with some fancy other settings available too. Was worried about the price but its been worth it so far.
I have this and another Govee light. Both are pretty good. This one sits in the corner flooding the area with a multitude of colour.
I don’t use it in “lamp” mode, I’m not a huge fan of using it that way, but instead use it in full colour modes. Easy to set-up, easy to use via your phone, It’s a cool lamp. Would suggest the remote control to be a bit pointless though. Mostly use my voice to switch it on via Alexa, and then control modes via my phone.
Got this at a discount as an uplighter whilst I’m working at my desk and for mood lighting when not working.
Really easy to assemble and setup and made from sturdy and quailty materials.
App connectivity is smooth and seamless. There’s a remote too but I just use the app as its functionality is great.
The light feels dimmer than I expected considering it’s advertised as 1500 lumens, but I don’t have anything to measure or compare it too so. Not bothered about that tho since it lights up my room nicely after dark.
Would definitely recommend if you’re looking for smart lighting. RGBICWW is top tier smart lighting but do your own research too!

The tunable white light is incredibly useful. During the daytime they run cool at bright so that I can tidy up and see clearly, and in the evenings I have them warmer and dimmer to help me relax. The RGB is fun whilst gaming. On full, I’d guess that they throw out about the same amount of light as a 100W incandescent bulb. Since they bounce and diffuse the light off a large area of your wall, they’re able to be bright without glare. I suspect that this style of light is going to become more popular, it works much better than an uplighter or traditional floor lamp. If you can’t tell, I’m a big fan of these.
So the customer support point – a few days ago one of my lights died – no light, no wifi, just dead. It wasn’t the power supply. When you try to set up a return from Amazon, they redirect you to the supplier. I normally hate this and was dreading it, but when I contacted Govee they gave me ideas to try within a day, and then when I tried them without any luck they sent me a replacement. I was back up and running within the week. What really surprised me was that they allocated one person to handle the issue all the way through, I wasn’t having to speak to a different person each time (thanks Suzy!). I felt so impressed that it was worth writing this review. To be clear – they didn’t ask me to write a review. I just think that great support like this deserves recognition so that companies that spend money on it see the benefit in customer loyalty. Thanks Govee!
You can use the (handily magnetic) remote for basic colours or use the app for more features (which there are loads, either preset scenes or you can mess around and make your own personalised colour displays).
It works with Google home so you can add it to a routine or voice activate (yet to try voice but routine works as it should, once registered on the Govee app).
Only thing of note is the assembly instructions and video available are not the same as the product in terms of the metal slot hole positions and the connecting parts but despite this (and once you’ve worked this out), it makes the assembly easier. Odd that they purposely included extra fixings though but again, this doesn’t distract from the assembly process as the instructions advise there are extras.
The product itself looks fantastic, well designed and put together and would recommend to anyone looking for a smart lamp with a little bit of extra sauce.
Would I buy again? Totally. Would I buy at full price? Seems a little self indulgent…
I have purchased a few Govee products now and I have been impressed with the build quality, features and their own ‘Govee Home’ app. The app itself isn’t as pretty or as polished as say the Philips Hue app — however it’s perfectly functional and works well.
The first thing on unboxing this floor-lamp is unpacking everything and then constructing it. Do study the instructions — it’s not particularly difficult to build, but you could easily get some of the parts back-to-front if you are not careful.
Once built, it’s time to switch on and pair with the ‘Govee Home’ app — although you do get an included remote with basic functionality and pre-sets if you do not wish to use the app. Last job is to pair with your Amazon account via the app for voice-control with Alexa and away you go!
All in all, this is a great product, it produces a fantastically bright, even light and the build quality and price feel fair for what you are getting functionality wise. I would happily purchase more Govee products in the future based on my experiences so far.
This was quite easy to assemble and is quite bright in the dark but not too bright. Very pretty colours and something different and modern looking
For me it was really easy to assemble I am 63 lol. I think it’s amazing, so many settings my favourite is the music setting. Came on time nicely packaged worth every penny.
Well this light is good. Bright if required. Colours are great.app is ok but takes some trial and error.The assembly instructions are non existent. Thank goodness for YouTube. After one day I rate this as an 8 out of 10. Will up date my review after a week or so.
Used these to add to the immersion kit, awesome for movies and gaming. Highly recommended
So good I ordered another one. You won’t be disappointed!

The faulty lamp was sent back and I had to re-order the replacement. Luckily the replacement has been working perfectly since receieving it and has been used for longer than the first one. The lamp looks good and now functions well. I now would recommend this product.

Initial review: Owned this Govee Lyra floor lamp for 3 days and had less than 5 hours usage. Looks great but it’s a shame it’s failed so quickly.
The good:
The brightness is exceptional for the neutral (non colour light modes) and the ability to dim/brighten these is exceptionally easy. The remote is really handy and usable and the magnet holster for it is great. The base is suitably heavy that I don’t feel worried it’ll blow over if I leave the window open on a windy day. Quality of materials is suitably decent given the money I paid, I was surprised by the size of the box considering how tall it is when built. Colour modes are fun although some of them will never be usd by me, that’s not to say they won’t by others, music mode for example is fun but not something I’ll use since I have no kids. The app is the best part tbh as that makes it far easier to control and having a light that helps wake me up with a nice tone of light and doesn’t blind me in the winter months is brilliant.
The bad:
Colour modes are great but some of them are just silly, and when using different colours remember that the colour of the light will determine how bright it can get, using an orange or blue will perhaps seem brighter than say a green. Orange is my favourite colour and although this does a good job recreating it, it’s still not perfect. The app whilst great, it does have a couple of small things I’m not a fan of, like the colour pallettes being shown as foods, or scenes, etc. Bit weird. Also, having a microphone in a block they built into the cable feels like a bad choice as they could have made a small portion of the base a housing for the microphone, not sure why they decided making the cable bulkier would be better (I’m not an electrician though, so I’m not the best person to make these choices etc). Remote whilst good, does feel a bit cheap for what you pay, but it does the job and most of the time I use the app, but as they attach to the stand it’s width does cause it to stand out and look out of place if you have it attached to the stand.
Hopefully what you’ll notice from the above is that the negatives I mentioned are mostly subjective and minor, the positives being more objective and in some way important.
If you read this and it helps you make a decision, then great, but I don’t think I’m alone in being impressed by this light, hopefully you will be too as long as you don’t expect to receive a floodlight in the box.
Just love it! Great in our living room to create different atmospheres, can turn it on and off when away via the app & works v well with Alexa.

Very well made piece of kit. Excellent precision in the build made it very easy to put together.
I was looking at a cheaper option but I’m glad I went for this one.
Had to wait a while to use it as moving, but now it’s up and working, what can I say, operates from my phone the remote and Alexa, been playing with the bespoke settings seeing what I can come up with, all in all a great lamp, love it.
It does everything it says is should. I have had it a few weeks now and there are no regrets in purchasing it.
It brings atmospheres to my room depending on what of the many scenes I choose. Very easy to use.
I ams o pleased with this Leith I hope to get another one in the near future. It was easy to assemble and the quality of light it outputs is perfect for lighting up a small room. It looks great and takes up hardly any space.
Was originally looking at the more expensive Hue Signe lamps as it could connect to my Ambilight TV but realised that Govee offered such a competitive price for something I would 90% use as a office mood lamp, this was a better option. It comes with many settings and the app is easy to use and control (also with Google Voice and Alexa commands).
Very bright lamp. Lots of colours. Very customizable with the app. Remote works well although it’s very basic. The app makes up for this and it works with Alexa.
This light is absolutely fantastic and gives a really nice warm light and adds colour to the room, all my visitors, friends and family have always commented on how lovely and modern the light looks, the app to control the light is also very feature rich and easy to use, you can also control the light using the Amazon echo.
This product is a fantastic addition to our Led home set up, and adds to our Aura and rechargeable Govee table lamp. It’s so good we bight a second a day later. The app is great, colours are amazing, and it looks really cool on or off. Lovely to add some warm light to the room, or unleash your creative side and bring some epic colours to your walls! Hoping Amazon will add the full selection of Govee products they have on the US site soon!
