How does it work?
Its unique patented design works by gently steering the dog’s head in the direction the owner wants to go.
Just as a headcollar works to steer a horse, by pointing the head in the desired direction the body has to follow.
Simple and humane – that’s why the HALTI Headcollar is approved by vets and recommended by canine experts worldwide.
Fitting tips
Initially your dog may object to wearing the HALTI, so take time to ensure there is a positive association with it. Show the HALTI first and allow them to sniff it and see that it is nothing to be scared of. Feed some treats through the noseband and once accepted you can secure the neck section, snug but not too tight.
Once your dog is wearing the headcollar
The noseband should sit halfway down the nose, away from the eyes, and without pressure on the chin strap, your dog should be able to open his mouth fully.
Keep up the praise and rewards so wearing the HALTI Headcollar becomes a really positive experience. However, never leave the HALTI on an unsupervised dog as they may chew through it.

Good quality Halti, for German shepherd would consider the size 4 over size 3 for the dogs comfort, but it varies case per case. The seller InSale did a great job assisting me when the delivery service unexpectedly misplaced the package. Good service

The large is too big for my golden retriever, so I had to put a stitch in it to stop it slipping off. He still manages to paw it off, wee bugger. Nevertheless, it works in stopping the pulling.
I have a crazy 1 year old lab and he has given me tennis elbow and numerous pulled shoulders aswell as pulling my 19 year old daughter off her feet twice, I have spent a year attempting to train him to walk nicely and bought numerous ‘no pull’ harnesses but he just finds pulling more exciting.
I reluctantly bought the halti headcollar after being recommended it by many different people I have met on our daily drags and while he hates it and does attempt to pull it off a few times during our walk, it is a total game changer and I’m no longer dreading our walks.
I have the matching halti collar, double ended lead and halti harness which I use together as I like have hold of his body aswell as his head as he is like houdini at backing out of collars.
After using this for a while I have now started to use on our way out on our walks, take it off for him to run and play then when he has let off steam I have recently started to walk him home in just his harness.
As I said before I have bought multiple harnesses that claim to be no pull and some of them were quite expensive and just don’t work, I wish I started with halti as the price and quality is amazing.
Bit to big for her at the moment, but when she grows more it will fit so much better.

Tried everything for a very strong lab and as a last resort I went against my beliefs on haltis but after he’d pulled me over I decided I was going to try it. Best decision ever. He never fussed having it on and he’s not pulled once from the second I put it on him. It’s a good fit, nice padding and safety clip. Stretches well, fits over his mouth with a tennis ball in it, he don’t like putting tennis balls down perfect if your dog is a puller.
Finally I can walk my dog without pulling.
Very easy to use .
My dog doesn’t have any discomfort because of it , my biggest concern.

Habe schon gute mit Halti bei unserem Vorgnger- Hund gemacht und auch jetzt luft alles prima. Etwas problematisch ist allerdings, da unser Welpe nur einen sehr kurzen Fang hat( Bullmastiff) und manchmal das Halti abrutscht. Dafr kann aber das Produkt nichts und deshalb gibt’s volle Punktzahl!!!
The Halti harness is unbelievably effective. In the video as part of this review can see I only have to hold the lead close between finger and thumb and the smallest pull on the lead corrects him. He isn’t agitated or concerned having it on, in the video that is his first time wearing it on a walk. Being still a pup really he is excited when passing people or bikes and would try to jump sometimes, he had a good wake up today when he tried that with the Halti on and was instantly stopped by his own force.
I did spend some time the couple days prior to his first walk showing him the harness, put it on and gave some treats and then when on our first walk today lots of treats and praise. He did protest a small amount trying to pull it off when we started walking but a firm NO and more treats when walking got that right and no issues from then on.

Ya lo he comprado en anteriores ocasiones y siempre es igual de efectivo, el perro deja de tirar en segundos. Eso es muy importante cuando tu perro es un cachorro de gran dans de 14 meses y55kg que desborda energa y ganas de jugar. Si lo hubiera llevado desde el primer da que le tuve, hubiera evitado la dolorosa experiencia de partirme los dos dedos anulares en una ocasin en que se invit al cachorro, entonces de 4 meses, a juego bruto, saltos y cambios de direccin. El anterior lo halti lo tuve que cambiar por ya se le haba quedado pequeo. Ahora va mucho mejor, no tira, y se le puede llevar sin hacer ninguna fuerza. Puede abrir la boca perfectamente con el halti puesto, no le impide ni comer, ni beber, ni jadear. Tambin mola que las costuras sean reflectantes. El precio ha sido muy razonable. Estoy muy contenta con el halti.

Works well on my 3 year old retriever, tries to take off when first put on but then walks quietly with my wife without pulling, which is why we bought it. Adjustable which is very useful to get a good comfortable fit.
Finally can take my hyperactive German Shepherd puppy for a nice relaxing walk without being pulled all over the place

Works fantastic really does the Job. I have a American bull dog and she pulls really bad and with arthritis in my spine her walks we’re becoming limited.Not no more. Pulling has stopped instantly .
I have a great dane and use to have elbow pain from his pulling. My previous dane was even worse and had a holter that I thought was helpful but now realize it was one of the reason I did not like to walk her. This has saved my arms and body. I don’t think twice about going on a walk with him because I have full control. I started with the gentle leader which is tighter, and then went to this once he knew what it did. This is looser on his face and has a back up to his collar just in case this was to break. I will always train my dogs now to use this!
These are excellent and I have used them for years. It has been difficult to replace a red one so I was glad to find this.
The fabric in product needs to made of a stronger material because my dog is a strong and muscular. The collar is brilliant but I fear it will break very soon. But the information on the right size needs to be made more clearly
