So far after 4hrs use this seems to be a great quality item compared to others in price bracket quite smart looking great video quality batteries seem to last there predicted time overall great product so fa
Never had a drone before, this is so easy to fly, operate and control, camera is surprisingly good as well, batteries last about 10 minutes each, all in all a great drone in my opinio
Great drone to start your adventure as a drone operator, very stable when no wind, but little strugle in windy condition. Make sure is on flat surface when calibrating to avoid siurprises. Baterry could last longer but with 2 in set you can enjoy up to 30 minutes fun.
This is a tough little drone. It is ideal for beginners and is best seen as a training device on which you can take all the experiments and chances you want on a relatively inexpensive item.It is skitish in windy weather and flying is out on such days.
The only real weaknes was the battery life but Holystone supply two of these and they only take 50 mins to charge. So this is not a dealbreaker – you can live with it!
I must add that the manual is excellent; lucid and logical – and in good quality english!
Honestly, I’ve bought this to practice before getting a higher spec one, incase I crash it etc, and it’s brilliant for practising! Used once in the Garden and so far it’s great!
Remote reacts well, it’s quite speedy, looking forward to seeing what else it does when I take it to a larger outdoor space.
App on my phone is super easy to use.
All in all, I’m pleased. Thanks!
I’m a relatively new drone operator, this is a very good drone for beginners like me, have used it outside a couple of times, it worked well, however had to increase power as the wind was taking it abit, kept it quite low and managed to keep it under control, the adjustable camera is good, the picture quality is outstanding considering the price of this drone, can’t wait for the weather to get better so I can use it more.
Initial impressions for this drone are really impressive. It’s a total all round package for beginners and has everything you need to get started (and it’s affordable). The drove itself is manageable and the software to control it is really easy to use. I love that everything is contained within it’s own carry case. I look forward to exploring the capability of the drone further when we’re not suffering the current British weather!!
We bought this drone for our son as a more “grown up” toy but I have used it just as much as him!
I’m a bit of a techno-phone but I found the instructions simple to follow if using the remote control or the app.
The graphics are good from the camera and again, recording is straight forward.
We are still exploring the features but what I also like is that once you have launched the drone, it is quite stable in the area, giving you time to experiment with directional control
Great quality product with fantastic features my Son and Husband love it!
This was a present for my 10 year old. Having not owned a drone before I was very happy with it as the first test flight was a success. Quite simple to set, only took a couple of minutes. And very easy to start up and recalibrate after a crash. Not tested the camera and iPhone controls yet for the camera but sure it all works. Update: now used the camera and it’s very good for the money. Also realised that in the app there is a free battery link and all you have to do is write a review on Amazon and then provide your order number, address and they send you the battery. As they ship everything through Amazon it’s already turned up .
Bought for my son. Fiddled about setting it up but was ok. Works well, does get blown about with slight breeze.
Entry level drone enthusiasts look no further. If you want something to practise with that won’t break the bank but still give you a great flight and exceptional camera quality then the HolyStone HS260 is a perfect choice. Comes with great Cary case and really good instructions. Highly recommend this product.
packaging was great and came with everything needed. Also was a great value product.
Super quality camera. I am new for this kind of gadgets and works well for me. Easy to use and learn.
I bought this for my son having read reviews on Amazon and on the Internet. Very happy with the drone, as it has a good battery life (2 batteries are included which are lithium meaning they charge faster), image quality is very good, flight is stable (especially at low heights when the optical flow sensor is used). Takes a bit of getting used to but easy to fly once you know how. Haven’t flown outdoors much but it probably performs best in low winds. Very pleased with it though!
This is such a great little drone and we are practicing whenever we ca
I have to say what a great drone this is, very stable in flight , very reasonable price to purchase so if you do have a disaster you wont beat yourself up about it , currently dealing with Billy and Lily at Holy stone / Deerc not on any problems i must add, just advice , and both have responded within hours and so positively sadly lacking with many companies.
I have a Holy Stone HS260 and a Deerc D30 both excellent although the HS260 has the edge , remote adjustable drone camera is great .top marks
Good drone sadly flew away with not having GPS no chance of finding it so spend the extra and get one with GPS
This is my first drone. It was easy to set up and the app is very simple to use. You use the app to record video and take photos Which you can then save/upload etc. The remote control is reasonably robust and intuitive to use. The main issue with the drone is that it is very light and doesn’t have gps, it’s also not very powerful so if there’s the slightest whisper of wind it can be taken away out of your control. There is a one touch “Land Now!” Button which I’ve had to use on a few occasions and then gone traipsing across a field to recover the drone. I’ve seen a few reviews that say the drone hasn’t responded or “gone out of control” but from my experience I think it’s likely to have been the wind, so fly indoors then? Well, that’s difficult too as the drone rotor wash creates vortexes in the room which “suck” the drone to the wall. I’ve spoken to drone flying friends who have told me that the larger heavier more powerful drones are much easier to fly – that said, they also say if you can master flying a “toy” drone it’s very good for developing your skills. Battery life is about 15 mins per battery dependant on flying conditions. Video quality is surprisingly good but don’t expect those majestic sweeping shots of valleys, you’ll have lost control well before then,
Updateanyone need a drone controller? It was caught by a very slight wind today, nothing I could do to bring it home, now stuck somewhere in a tree near me. RIP little drone 🙁
After crashing, smashing and losing half a dozen cheap gadgety shop toys I invested in something a bit pricier but not bank breaking. Thinking it was going to be another wobbly uncontrollable toy where you spend more time calibrating and trimming just to hover than actually flying…I was happy and pleasantly surprised! Flies so well, very forgiving of amatuer pilots (aka 7yo sons) and the camera is a brilliant quality not a potatocam from the 90’s 🙂
Great little drone dose exactly what is says on the tin.
Very good quality crashed it a few times but still in perfect condition very strong.
Defiantly recommend.
This is a great little drone for beginners and seasoned pilots as well. A quick read of the operating instructions and off you go. It has a very useful take off and land button to remove any worries you may have getting the drone airborne. Very responsive and and reasonably stable, just be careful of strong winds. Decent flight time for the 2 batteries supplied. Overall, I’m happy with my purchase.
I bought this for my husband as a starter drone for Xmas 2021. He absolutely loved it and practiced flying it around the house and my head. When I kicked him out in March he took it with him to play with while he lives in his bug out bus pretending to be a hobo . Perfect for a child big and small , easy to set up and use . Buy extra blades though as crashes are unavoidable when starting out with it, ( busy repairing the wall paper it chipped as I write this). Wish he had left it as I would have resold it to pay for the debt he left me in.
Could add some padding to the bottom of the drone for better landing, also wifi range is about 50 metres before camera starts glitching. Overall easy drone to start, and remote control is simple, make sure to read instructions carefully. A little bit of wind about 8-10 mph is enough to shake the drone. Price wise is good value and camera quality is very good.
Excellent build, great fun for my grandchildren. Follow the instructions step by step. Learn with hover mode first and slowly get the feel.of the controls by maneuvering 1m in each direction. Using a phone screen outdoors is difficult and best avoided. Instal prop guards with each flight. Storage box is really useful. The whole kit is well made, but should still be treated with care and not as a toy as multiple crashes with shorten working life. Make sure kids understand the dangers of flying the drone near other people’s faces.
It was ok to use but once any wind gets behind it it can be difficult to fly u must no wat the wind is like 20ft off the ground as I found out the hard way .mine flew off never to be seen again but if your in a large open area should be ok
I bought this drone as a total beginner. Mistake. I should have got one with GPS. Don’t get me wrong, it’s a good little drone that is clearly well built and it comes in at under 250grams but because of this, and the lack of GPS, it’s easily carried away in the slightest of breezes. If you lose it, you lose it. I look forward to the summer months and days without any breeze to fly this little drone. I should have a little bit more experience by then too. It’s only got 3 stars because it’s not really flyable by me at the moment.
(edit)
So I’ve had this drone for a bit now and I’ve been in contact with Holy Stone directly. They have helped me with this drone a lot. Their help and advice has prompted me to update my review.
I have found Holy Stone to be really helpful. Their after sales service has been brilliant!
The HS260 is a great little drone to learn on. You can’t expect to just go 120m high and 500m away from you on your very first flight. Keep it close, in beginner mode, and practice flying it close to you in an open area. If it’s windy, put it into the higher speed setting to give it the power to fight the breeze. Don’t forget though that the HS260 is very light and has limited power. That will affect the wind speed it can fly in.
The drone is made to a very high standard and can take the occasional learners knock. It comes in at under the 250g mark so you can fly with just an operators ID and you don’t need a licence to fly it. Just what I, as the beginner, needs!
This drone is a curate’s egg. Some aspects are good: links with the remote and the phone easily, simple to calibrate and operation at close quarters is ok. Issues arise when the user gets too expansive or pushes their luck. If you aren’t experienced at using drones you need to spend some sessions operating it at low altitudes to practice manoeuvrability and train yourself to know how to steer regardless of where it is. Without GPS (couldn’t be expected at this price) it is dependent on a wifi connection to phone so the range is limited to the wifi footprint. It also means you will have to steer it back to yourself to land as it doesn’t know where it started from or where you are. If the connection is lost you can expect the unexpected: it may well fly away until it runs out of power or crashes somewhere. This is also a risk with the battery life: my own experience of this was when I thought I could just get a minute longer and it simply lost connection and flew off to a neighbour’s garden.
With these risks in mind, label your drone properly before you start (should have your operator’s number at least: I also put my phone number) and practice a lot before attempting anything more advanced. The camera is good, the optical flow helps with stability and if calibrated properly it will behave predictably. Won’t work in windy conditions (too light) but will achieve reasonable height if you stay (more or less) under it. Robust and with a good carry case, two batteries etc., a good drone to learn on and see if you want to do more with them.
Fun entertaining drone , easy to use and great with your phone camera . Would definitely recommend a beginners drone
Great beginner drone! Response is great, without wind resistance wouldn’t recommend in high winds but perfect in every other aspec
Bought on a whim, now glad I did. It’s great fun.
Easy enough to setup and link with the app. All round a fun little drone for the money, camera quality is pretty good. The only problems I’ve had is sometimes it doesn’t connect to the remote but just a case of on/off. Not good in wind but wasn’t expecting it to be. The dog absolutely hates it.
Seems ok need to practice with it hopefully the weather will improve soo
This drone has been great for my young son learning how to work a drone. It’s tough too and survived some big crashes. Recommended
An ace drone for beginners with a quick moving back-up team at Holy Stone ready to spring into action and help if need be.
Straightforward, nice handling. Note as it has a camera you need a drone licence in UK
Good entry level drone with a decent spec camera. Great as a first drone for begginers learning to fly a drone, fairly steady and responsive with little or no breeze. probably not best for breezy conditions as a little light. Easy to assemble and use.
Father Christmas delivered this for my son, thought I’d leave a review here instead of the North Pole! 😉
The drone is well packaged it it’s own case and has spare propellas and a screw driver.
The auto take off and land is really useful and the app is easy to use.
Actually flying it has taken a bit of practice and because it is small and light, you can’t fly it in any open spaces if it is windy as the motors can’t compete. However, on the few quiet days we’ve had since Xmas, my 8 year old has finally got the hang of it. Great value and seems really well made. He was a very happy little boy. Thanks

I bought this drone as a Christmas present for my grandson. We were both very impressed with the quality, the folding rotor arms and rotor guards and it all folds up into a quality carrying case. The app was easily downloaded and synchronised the phone and drone meaning you can fly the drone with your phone or by voice control and the pictures are good from the camera. You also have good back up on the app if you have any problems.

From the moment you unbox you can see the excellent quality of this product. Particularly the way it folds into the professional looking case.
Followed instructions and it all linked up fine, the camera feed from the done to iPhone is excellent. We looked at many options before purchasing the Holy Stone and were happy with this choice. Two batteries are also great.
This is a great little drone. Thanks to its light weight it doesn’t need registering so you can use it straight out of the box. Which is great for impatient excited people 🙂 Make sure you have a quick read of the instructions though so that you can calibrate the drone before use as this is very important.
But after that you really can just take it out of the box and fly it. There is an app, and you need to use this to take photos and record videos, you don’t need it to fly the drone which I think is great. Everything you need to fly it is on the controller.
One bottom takeoff works great. Considering it doesn’t have GPS the drone is really stable in flight and has great altitude hold. The headless mode really does make the drone so much easier to fly as you don’t have to work out which was it’s facing.
The emergency stop button worked well when the wind picked up and it started heading towards my garden fence!
I’d really recommend this drone this drone. It’s great value for money and lots of fun to fly.

This drone took a while to get used to but after crashing it 3 times I got the hang of it and still going strong. Drone also has a great camera but be sure to read instructions first.
We did have some issues with the first drone we bought, but we could get a replacement from the supplier , their service was very good, and they try their best to improve our experience with the product. All drones have some faults risks, so it is important to know that there is a decent supplier behind, like in this case.
This is a very fun drone and surprisingly fast and agile. Very much recommended.
Great bit of kit. Grandson thinks it’s just like Pops ! Easy to use. Shirt flight times but extra batteries are cheap. Very economic drone to have wifi and gps on board. Love i
I had issue with the Video. Customer Service person was great. But problem is with Android 12 OR Pixel Phones (with Android 12). Your videos would be all corrupted. Although photos would be fine. Worked on other phones without Android 12 update and quality is good. So be aware of the issue but best buy if you have other phones.
Really easy to fly with a good quality camera. Don’t recommend for first drone but very good as a second/thirdonce you’ve learned the controls. Very stable in the air thanks to the optical flow sensor. Over all a great drone for the price
The kids had seen a friend’s drone so persuaded me into getting one. Not being very experienced in this area, I thought I’d go for something a decent size (a lot of the cheaper drones seem to be pocket sized) and not too expensive. Holystone seemed to have a few well reviewed models on Amazon so I gave this one a try. Packaging is very good: a semi-hard case with everything neatly packaged, a manual and some spare propeller blades. There are 2 batteries included for the drone unit but no AAA (4 required) for the controller, which is a pity but then freebie AAA tend to either die very quickly or leak in my experience. Assembly is very easy and there’s an app for Apple or Android that allows you to use the camera (video and photo) plus control the drone. The controller has a fold out clip to hold your phone while you control it.
Using the drone is pretty easy. The drone batteries charge quickly and last a decent amount of time, so one the arms have been folded out and the propeller blade guards fitted, it’s ready. As I say, I’m not very experienced with drones but this one is easy to use. A button takes it off once you have calibrated and activated the drone (takes 2 seconds) and then it hovers on its own, ready to be steered around. There are a number of features to help with piloting and – crucially – it’s very easy to land using the same button to take off. I’ve attached a short video showing this (though steering one handed meant it wasn’t the neatest of touch downs). The camera seems to work well with the app, though I’ve not done much there yet as I’m still getting to grips with being a pilot!
It’s early days and will take some practice on wind-free days for me and the kids to fully explore all the features but I think it works well and is a good option for a beginner.
We got this drone for my son, this is the first time he tried it out in our garden and it was so easy to use, very smooth on landing and navigating! The drone arrived promptly when ordered in a lovely box to keep it safe with an extra battery and extra propellers! Extremely happy with the buy!

Unboxing it I was really pleased. It comes in a really smart zip around case. It has two batteries and charger. It also has easy to clip in propeller guards as well as spare propellers. It doesn’t have GPS, follow me or return home but this is reflected in the price.
The rear light and front light are very helpful for knowing direction, and the camera is pretty good. Have a look at the footage.
The app is intuitive and recording is easy as the controls for doing this are on the controller.
Overall it is really easy to use and quite fast.
For the price this is a great drone. Perfect for a teenager.

The customer service is really good and the drone is amazing
I’ve been flying drones for quite a long time. Over the years been most impressed by Holy Stone and the quality of affordable drones in their lineup. So the choice was a no brainer when it came to purchasing a drone to start my son on. I searched through their product line and selected the Holy Stone HS260 Drone as my son’s first drone. The choice was a perfect fit and right from the start there were a few features that I liked that aren’t present on the more pricey drones that I own. That being gravity control and line draw flight path. The drone comes in it’s own case that carries the drone, remote, spare blades and tool, rotor guards, 2 batteries and manual. The motor arms fold in so it fits nicely in the case. Each battery is good for 15 minutes of flying and this listing detail is accurate. Once you familiarize yourself with it’s operation by reading the manual, you simply download the app and begin flying. Straight out you can see how stable the drone is and how well the optical position hold works when hovering, even in a wind. Takeoff is done with a push of a button on the app screen. Here’s where it differs from my expensive drones. The drone can be flown with the app only and no use of the remote. You take off with the button and tell the drone fly straight, left, right, up ir down. Once airborne you can draw a flight path with your finger on the screen and it’ll follow that path. You can also use gravity control to maneuver by tilting your phone and the drone will mimic the phones motion. This can be done with the remote attached as well. Having rotor guards is a must with beginners and came in handy. The camera is 1080P, takes great pics and can be rotated up and down through 90 degrees. There’s 2 speed settings, high and low, and again, this is a great feature for first time users. Landing is just like takeoff with the push of a screen Button. Altogether this was a perfect choice as a first drone for my son.

Holy stone make really good beginner drones, this one is no exception, the drone itself is built quite well, the controller feels good in the hand, and with 2 batteries, you’re going to get around 15 minutes of flight time per battery, the package comes with a good solid case to keep everything safe.
I’d recommend this if you’re a beginner.
Happy flying

As soon as I opened the package I was most impressed by the quality.
A super carrying case, designed for this drone and, when I inspected the contents, it was clear that the HS 260 was well built and robust.
The instruction manual is clear, concise, covers everything you need to know and extremely well translated into English.
Downloading and installing the app for the drone is fast and easy to use
The clamp for my phone is well designed and holds the phone safely.
The weather outside is appalling…rain and wind, wind and rain. So, my first flights were inside.
I nornally advise people against flying in the house but I broke my own rule as I was keen to fly
It performed perfectly, gaining altitude to around 5 feet and holding position without any problems.
The next flights were at the Club indoor winter flying venue where I was able to fly around taking photos and video.
Again, position hold was impeccable using the Optical Flow system. Just ensure that you read and follow the instructions and advice given in the manual.
I was very impressed, as were several of the other club members, as to how good it is for such a low price.
Only one slight niggle from me, the transition from hover to horizontal flight has quite a jerk. I wonder if it is possible to design with more exponential to smooth this out?
I will just be gentle with the sticks meanwhile.
Certainly got around 15 mins on a battery.
This morning, despite the rain, I was able to fly under the carport and the gazebo and take some more footage, some of which is attached.
The pictures are very good and the abilty to pitch the camera up and down through small increments is just the job too.
All in all, I am well pleased.
As Chairman of our local flying club which is in North Lancashire, I am often asked for advice on buying drones.
I have every confidence in Holystone and recommend the HS260 for anyone wanting a non GPS camera drone to fly inside and outside and at a price of 89.
One further general comment….from personal experience, and anecdotal evidence, the Customer Service provided by Holystone is excellent.
The HS260 is a brilliant entry level drone. Very easy to control and navigate. It’s weight is very important as it come under the heading of a toy and not something that requires registration with the CAA.
When you have the app download the gesture control and voice commands are easy to work out. The picture quality is fantastic and the camera can be moved through 90 degrees vertical with a simple press of the button.
I have found the controls to be very similar to my larger drone for which I have had to register with the CAA and this is also a great drone to fly with excellent camera pictures.
I received the HS260 2 days earlier than expected which was great!
Inside the box is a good quality carry case, the drone, remote control, 2 batteries (30 mins flying time), 1 charger (2 would have been better), spare props, prop guards, and the instruction manual.
The drone itself is a good weight and feels like a well-made toy. The size is also good.
The instructions are easy to follow, and after charging the batteries, I went outside to test. The app is easy to navigate, and once started, it was up in the air. It was a very windy day, and the drone drifted with the wind as it doesn’t have GPS so I had to adjust for positioning. It handled well in the air and was responsive to the controller input.
Camera quality for 1080p is excellent as I was flying at dusk. As there is no stabilisation, the video isn’t suitable for much.
Overall I’m very pleased! It doesn’t have GPS, follow me, or 360 focal point mode, but the price reflects this. I’d say this is suitable for people who have played with little house drones and want to venture outside and get more experience before moving onto the higher-end drones.
This drone is more easy to handle than other drones I have used I was impressed with the quality and ease of set up for the price I would reccomend this drone and would make an ideal Christmas prese
Excellent drone for beginners and intermediates. Comes with a quality case and good build quality. Really good and responsive with a good battery life.
I have flown other drones however they have not been as easy to pair, sync & unlock the drone with simple joystick commands which this drone has. Ideal for a beginner or child. A bit hard to control in high winds so best to fly in calm weather. Most drones can be a handful in high winds so not a negative for this particular drone. Highly recommend this drone if it’s your first purchase.

Really impressed with this drone, it’s the first drone i’ve bought and was unsure at first because there was a lot to choose from but really happy with this product. it’s very simple to set up and easy to use once all set up. the photo and video quality is also very impressive
Got this for my son who’s 7 and he absolutely loved it, the camera is alot better and clearer than I expected. It’s easy to pair and operate so all in all a great product at a good price
I really like that this I so easy to use! I took it to show my nephew (9) and he picked up the controls really easily and handled it really well. He had amazing fun with it. Definitely recommend this! Not just for kids btw!!
The first thing I will say about this drone, is the packaging is absolutely outstanding. It’s cool, compact and really well thought out. The drone itself is equally as cool. Really easy to use and the app works great with it. It has a wonderful instruction manual with a QR code to download the app, which is really helpful. Every single thing about it just works smoothly. A fantastic purchase. Also, the company I purchased it from were super slick and professional and the delivery was really quick. Amazing purchase from start to finish.

I have really enjoyed my experience with this drone. Holy Stone have proven time and time again that they are up there with the best in the drone market. I own a few Holy Stone drones and they are just a great product for the money.
The HS260 is small, compact and lightweight making it very portable. With the carry case included, the drone packs away nicely. Compared to other Holy Stone remote controls, this one does feel a bit cheaper; but this is to be expected considering the low price tag. Further, I think the phone holder on the remote is well designed and feels a lot more durable than it does on other models.
In terms of the flight capabilities, this drone works as a good starting point for new pilots. The controls are simple and easy to use, and the additional software features such as gesture control are nice to have. As the drone is light weight, the drone does struggle in high winds.
Camera quality is also good for the price. I have actually been quite impressed with the camera even in low lights.
All in all, I would recommend this drone to new drone pilots who are keen to get into the hobby but don’t want to spend a great deal of money on a drone.
