Used the drone to check my solar panels on the roof which are otherwise difficult to get to.
This is a pretty good drone. Fairly easy to set up, has beginner modes for novices (restricts height and speed), until you get used to the controls. The image quality is pretty good too. The auto-stabilisation is excellent, as I live in a very windy area and the drone copes very well.
This drone is impressive in so many ways.
1. Easy to fly.
2. Stability (in windy weather) holds its own.
3. Looks and feels like a premium product.
4. The camera you can move electronically while in flight.
5. Customer Service (More than happy to help, very polite, literally any issues they will sort it out ASAP)

I had a problem with this item, i bought a Drone from Holy Stone a HS700E, the remote would not work beyond twenty feet, (6mts), i contacted Holy Stone, they asked me to try a few things to see what the problem was, the problem could not be solved.
I was sent a new Drone to try, it worked perfectly, i can’t fault the service i have received from Holy Stone.
Slow speed is OK but when on full speed still alittle slow. Could do with being faster.
After being given this drone as a birthday present from my Wife, I thought it would be too complicated for me, but I was so wrong, it’s ideal for a beginner and a gadget man like myself. I would thoroughly recommend this to anyone who wants to spend that little bit more to get a quality product.

I have always been a fan of drones and have bought many small ones. I’m not a professional flyer or want to be but enjoy the flight of a good drone. I have been through many cheap miniature ones and just dont like them. I always wanted a drone that returns home, does GPS stuff, follow me etc but the prices were really bad. Then I came across the HOLY STONE HS700E 4K. I am so pleased i paid the extra money to get this. I love it. It flies in wind gusts, camera is great, no pro but great, stabilisation spot on and comes back when its not happy to within a couple of feet from where you started. Batteries are fab, really good flight time. Love it completely. Totally happy customer 🙂
Looked for a value for money drone , this one meets all my requirements
The build quality of this device is just incredible, with an amazingly high quality camera, I would highly recommend this product over many more drones of this price range. Battery quality lasted me almost 3 hours on 4 batteries! Lastly, the remote. It Is very feature filled, controls the drone in every angle with a minimum of fuss.

On moving up to my next Drone I chose this one, yes you do need the ‘Flyer ID and Operator ID and yes as some others said one needs to be careful but so far it’s been a brilliant machine to operate and has been really excellent in handling.
The price was good and a good make so in all my choice and I love it.
I would firstly like to say how very impressed i was with holystone customer service. I had an issue with the HS 700e after the first flight.
Fiona in customer service was extremely helpful and this was sorted out with no hesitation. I was very impressed.
The hs700 E is really nicely packaged with everything you need to easily set up and fly. The instruction manual is easy to read and very comprehensive. Once the drone is calibrated and the GPS is showing at least 8 satellites you are good to go !!
I was impressed with the stability when hovering and the remote control is well laid out and responsive.
The hs700 E flies well and speed and manoeuvres well. All in all if you don’t want to or are unable to spend hundreds of more pounds on a rival manufacturer then this is the one.
The photos and video from the camera are excellent and the EIS helps to smooth out vibration and blur.
You get 2 batteries and a spare set of props. Charging is easy with the 2 usb type C cables supplied.
The only issue I had was finding a compatable charger. I found my phone charger to work well.
All in all a really good package and great value with fantastic customer service. Well done holystone !!
I took it out in really strong winds around 70m in the air and it’s still stable!

Great value package that comes with everything to get you started. Drone is pretty easy to set up and fly, and integrated app is clear and simple to follow. Drone is stable in moderate winds but I wouldn’t fly too close to obstructions. Camera quality it sends back to your phone during flight is really impressive, haven’t tried it with micro sd card and full 4K yet. Marked done a star for stability as it scarily lost signal when I flew it about 300m away in open field but that could have been the high voltage lines around me at the time causing interference. All in all a fantastic value package.

I haven’t been able to fly my drone in anger as weather conditiond haven’t allowed. Was able to hover it in my garden which showed me how stable it was. Can’t wait for better conditions to really test it, but so far so good.
Took a bit of time working out the instructions but once you know what your doing it really good.
Really good drone with really good quality camera. Starts loosing video at around 350m rather than the 500 advertised. Only negative thing about it is the 5hr it takes to charge the battery after 20 mins fligh

I can recommend this if you are moving up from beginner. Obviously you can always spend 2000 on a drone but think twice- Is it worth it?? I strongly recommend Holy Stone HS700E 4K. Happy with a purchase
I am not an drone expert but this one is a good fun.
Drone is stable and responds well to the controls, easy to setup. Comes with two batteries, flying time 15/20 min, mounted camera performs excellently.
Comes with a costume carry case.

Unfortunately I couldn’t fly on the first day so had to wait for a day when the wind was less blustery. When that day came I calibrated the compass as described in the manual, removed the protective film from the cameras. This drone is so easy to set up it’s almost embarrassing.
First check flight, auto take off, then quick fly around to see what the response was like. Of course the first thing that I forgot to do was set the distances, so I was a little puzzled when it wouldn’t fly more than 10 metres away from me. Once I’d set the ranges to maximum, then it flew as expected.
All the functions ran fine – RTH, follow mode, waypoint. The camera is a very reasonable quality, and with a class 10 SD records nice video. It is always better to use the SD card rather than the phone to record the video, as this will avoid drop outs.
The only downside, in common with a lot of consumer drones nowadays is that the FPV is transmitted back to your phone by WiFI, which significantly restricts the range that you can fly before the camera starts jerking and cuts out. This was about 300m, although I have seen estimates of 5-800m, but I think this is pushing it a little. The hand held transmitter still functions but that’s no use if you don’t have video feedback. However, pressing the RTH button soon brings the drone back into video range. However, you’re not supposed to fly beyond visual range, or LOS anyway, so this is not a bad thing.
In short, this is a great value mid range drone, great as a second drone, or even as a beginner first drone.

Overall – I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this to anyone.
It comes with 2 batteries right out of the box, which is an excellent benefit as in the past I’ve needed to buy spare batteries for other drones and they have been expensive. The batteries seem to last and last with plenty of flying time to enjoy and have fun with the drone.
It comes with a sturdy foam-padded case that fits the drone like a glove and spare parts including propellors. The initial setup was easy when following the start guide in the manual. As soon as the controller is paired with the drone and you’ve calibrated the compass you’re off on your first flight. The return to home function works well and definitely gives peace of mind if it goes out of sight or flies out of range.
The camera is excellent. I wouldn’t say it would be any good for a professional of any kind but for a drone of this price point you wouldn’t expect that anyway. The 4k video does judder sometimes, but generally the EIS video stabilisation works very well. I also own a Holy Stone HS720 drone, but found that one was only really good for stills. The camera shake was too much to enjoy watching the video. With this drone, completely different story. The video is buttery smooth and I’ve found that unless it’s pretty windy, the drone eliminates pretty much all shakiness from the video and it looks great.

What immediately impressed me about this drone is the build quality. It feels solid and, while I don’t intend to test my theory out, I think it would stand up well to the bumps and scrapes that a beginner might experience. Despite that solidity, it feels nimble in the air and responds very well to user inputs. The rotors are spring loaded and clip into place intead of the conventional screws. This makes it easier to perform your pre-glight check without the use of a screwdriver. The remote will be familiar to users of other Holy Stone drones. Levers pop out of the bottom to make it easy to hold and the antenna sit underneath the springy phone holder.
In-Flight
Hit the unlock button, then a touch of the take off button and we’re in the air. I easily got 19 satelites where I was flying and once airborne this drone stayed put. There was no drifting and, when moved, it would go straight back to its starting position. It defaults to Tripod mode which allows for smooth and gentle movements with the drone, ideal for capturing more cinematic shots. Change it to Sport mode and this thing takes off like a bat out of hell. You get a sense of how fast it is in the test footage and I found it to be very responsive to my inputs. For something that feels so solid it seemed very agile in the air. I was able to fly it to its maximum altitude with no loss of signal, either to the controller or to my phone. Overall I felt very confident that this drone would do exactly what I told it.
Features
The camera can shoot an impressive 4k (3840×2160) at 30FPS and 1080p at 60FPS and the footage is fantastic due to the Sony sensor. The real star here though is the Electronic Image Stablization which ensures your shots are free from the vibration that plagues other drones. In addition, the camera is situated on a vibration absorbent mount which further dulls any unwanted camera movement. The camera can also be tilted vertically by using one of the shoulder buttons on the remote. Spend a little time practicing with this and you can get some smooth pans. The drone is also equipped with landing gear, landing lights and an optical flow sensor for indoor use.
Accessories
The HS700E comes in a really nice carrying case with foam inserts to keep all of your accessories together. As well as the drone and the remote, you get: 2 batteries, 4 spare props, 2 spare landing struts, and a USB cable. The batteries can be charged with any regulr USB-C cable and I was able to get 23 mins out of them consistently.
Overall
I’m really impressed with the HS700E. More than anything else it seems to be a really consistent performer and I have faith that it’ll go where I tell it. The quality of the footage is great, you get a fantastic set of spares, and the app is full of fun features like Follow Me and Orbit. For the price, you’re getting a great drone that’s an ideal first step into drone piloting.
This company has done it again!! After starting off with beginner drones this is a fantastic next step up!! Took it out when the weather was nice and the pictures we took were amazing!! Very easy to control, stability is great and the drone responds quickly to all commands. Not for beginners but for someone who understands how drones work and want the next level drone!! The build quality is excellent. This drone does not have folding arms therefore the case is quite bulky, just something to consider. If you want something more portable then the HS720E is a better option with its folding arms. The only other real downside is that it feels a bit slower than my first drone, I need to give it a few more flights to test it more thoroughly.
To summarise; you get a lot for your money with this drone. A nice case, two batteries, spare props, a very good camera that you can adjust (up and down) during flight with image stabilization. Just check YouTube to see the quality of the video and pictures that this can produce, for a sub 300 drone you will be blown away.

Their newest drone at the upper end of the range, the HS700E, is a superb addition to their lineup.
I own the HS720E, and I believe the HS700E is a better option if you’re looking at taking a step up from toy drones (although this is classed as a toy, it’s certainly got a foot in the ‘non-toy’ camp).
The camera mount is excellent and, although it isn’t a 3-axis gimbal, the Sony EIS does a great job of stabilising video. It’s lighter than the 720e and has landing legs which are a great addition! With arms that don’t fold, it also minimises the risk of damage if your landing is not as light as you’d hope. It feels solid in the hand and I reckon it could take a beating and still perform well.
One of my favourite parts of the drone is the way the props are mounted with no screws but a springed ‘push and twist method’
Onto flying…
The drone is very stable in the air, and responds well to the controls. It has the addition of tripod mode, so you’re able to get smooth shots, and remove the jerkiness of the footage when turning. ‘Normal’ mode is plenty fast enough, and still the mounted camera performs excellently with the EIS. The camera mount is very forgiving in windy settings. For the price of the drone, it’s great value; the addition of a 3-axis gimbal would raise the cost significantly and most likely put off people who are wanting a stepping stone before dropping a lot more money.
The app (Ophelia Go 4k) offers an easy to navigate interface. The drone is equipped with return to home which has been spot on every time, landing within a foot or so of the take off position.
Follow me mode works really well too, with the drone able to keep up with me. The footage is not so smooth when turning to follow me, but it’s as expected.
You can also set a path of waypoints for the drone to follow and it does this perfectly well.
I’ve not tested the full range of height and distance, yet my experience of HolyStone drones is that it will live up to expected distances. You will most likely lose video feed around 500m out, but the drone will keep going for the full range in good conditions (location dependent). CAA rules (in the UK) state that drones must be visible without aides (except glasses/contact lenses), so 500m is more than enough distance with video feed.
Nothing has given me cause for concern so far. No signs of the drone becoming unresponsive/flying away (make sure you follow all the instructions each time you want to fly – also pull controls down and left to recalibrate the gyro. I don’t believe this is in the instruction manual).
Having both of HolyStone’s top end models, it’s the HS700E that I will be taking out the majority of the time.
It’s an amazing piece of equipment and will suit most people’s needs. HolyStone’s customer service is absolutely top notch too.
Video quality is excellent too. The video I have uploaded has had the quality reduced by Amazon. I assure you, it’s much much better than that! I’d recommend a high capacity card as 5 minutes of footage uses around 2gb of space.

It has a sharp and clear 4K camera which you can look at samples from the photos which look really sharp and clean. Another amazing feature is that you can move the camera up and down remotely which can be a really nice feature to have. There are also many more astonishing features like Return to home and waypoint flight. I have tried them all out and can confirm that all of them do work great.
However, the only thing you need to be pretty careful in the beginning is the speeds, keep it on sport mode when you are just getting the gist of things. I nearly crashed mine into a bush because I kept it on cinematic mode. That mode is great for filming, especially when you are up in the air and any sudden turns or movements can ruin your video.
The customer service is great with this company and their staff are really friendly so even if by chance you get into a problem, they will have no problem helping you out.
All in all, this is a great drone if you want the headline features of it

First off unboxing, you get a Drone neatly packaged in an easy to carry case. The Drone is not small measuring almost a foot wide but by detaching the blades it fits safely in the case with all accessories. In addition to the Drone you get 2 batteries, spare blades, the controller, 2 charging cables and a decent instruction manual.
Once out of the case and ready for the first flight, it was simple to attach the blades, do the compass calibration and pair with the Ophelia Go App. In a light breeze the Drone was stable at altitude and easily manoeuvrable via the easy-to-use controller. I have attached one photo saved to the phone below and you can see that the results from the Camera are impressive. It was the camera that made me choose this model, although not a true Gimble the EIS (Electronic Image Stabilization) coupled with a 4K UHD camera gives me all I need for my camera work. The addition of a TF / Micro SD card allows pictures and video to be taken and saved at 4K to the drone rather than the Phone. The follow me and return to home modes work well and I look forward to trying the custom flight path mode on the next flight.
All in all with the addition of another battery, the EIS, a neat carry/ storage case the 700E is an improvement on the 700D and a rival for more expensive Drones. Final point with the camera and the weight, please get a CAA licence. A simple exam and 9 per year is all you need to stay legal
