Compressor arrived well packed & undamaged, arrived before delivery date. Looks well built & runs no problem. The temperature gauge is a bit icky but will take that up with supplier when they reopen, Instructions are a bit spartan but its not rocket science to assemble just make sure to run water pump from a separate feed as it has to run a couple of minutes before starting compresso
I have only used this compressor to fill my air rifle some four times so far and based on that albeit limited usage I have no complaints. It seems well engineered, all the parts fit together well, set up was a doddle, all the needed bits were supplied. Impressed. This is a way better way to do things than relying on diver’s bottles filled at the airgun shop!
Seemed reasonable cost for amount of use it will get.
Seems good quality build, note, UK plug on compressor, but foreign plug on water pump. I’ve got an adapter so not a problem, though might just cut it off and replace. Water pump silent, compressor not too loud. Does get hot, so keep water cold and shut off for short breaks to let it cool. Tried cut off at different pressures, stopped dead, so seems safe.
Unsure though as to if it shows the correct pressure. I trust gauges on my rifles so keep an eye on them. Gauge on bottle and compressor wildy different. 300 on compressor, 100 on bottle.
I had a loose head bolt but it just needed tightening up
It charges an average pcp in a couple of minutes max.
I run mine with a 25l water supply. The supplied water pump is a bit weak so I spent 15 and upgraded. I also run it with antifreeze in the water.
I have fitted a thermal switch so my turns off if it hits 60c but since I changed the pump it fill my 3l tank from empty with it going no higher than the mid 50’s
If you have a need then this thing is an affordable solution. I recommend having a look on you tube at how others are running Hong leng compressors. These are quite similar.
Instruction manual had some problems with mixed language sections and some of the English part missing which I have informed the seller about so hopefully this problem will not re-occur.
However it is easy to set-up and use and i am very satisfied with the simple operation, especially the auto-cut-off when the setable pressure limit is reached so i would recommend to anyone wanting to use for air rifle re-charging.
Also be aware that although not clear in the listing, it does include an oil / water separator (the blue part on the hose in the picture), I was not sure so purchased another oil/air separator which was virtually identical to the one supplied so was not needed. Pack with the pump also contains spare filter elements.
All works, just make sure the air is dry, you might want another dry air filter inline.
It’s small and neat, quite loud, takes a bit of setting up the cooling water supply, I use it for charging both my pcp air rifle and 9 Ltr air cylinder. Does the job great.
