Has 2 batteries perfect ,suction is great if you clean it out regularly
Previously my vacuum was brought out once a fortnight, if it were lucky. Now I’m using this at least once a day. So handy to have around. It stands unobtrusively in the corner of the kitchen until needed. Charge doesn’t last they long (20 mins of cleaning, maybe) but 2nd battery means that isn’t a problem. Easy to empty, comes with spare filter and tool to help empty bin. An excellent buy!
I love how light and easy it is to use. I just wish that the collector was bigger and not such a fiddle to empty.
I have a dog and the hair gets stuck inside and it’s a pain to get it out. The hoover itself is everything I wanted.
I like the fact that it’s cordless Hoover’s carpets well with two detachable batteries that are easy to change . But the Hoover attachments are not easy to put together as I have arthritis .
Lightweight with nice design, the brush bar looks like a toy hoover but carpet pick up is good. The brush needs cleaning quite often, luckily it’s dead simple to remove and put back. The dust collector is small so needs emptying after every use. It’s a bit fiddly to empty, I find it’s easier to unclip it from the vacuum cleaner to empty it. I’m reasonably happy with it so far but time will tell how long it lasts, I’ve previously had two other brand cordless vacuum’s and neither have lasted past two years.
I love this hoover from the beginning. I live in a 1 bedroom apartment, for that is such a hoover ideal. The suction power is pretty good. This brush bar takes quite something off the carpet. I like the compact design. For me is the hoover not to heavy to hold with one hand for above floor cleaning. I don’t have problems to remove and empty the dust bin. But I’m a sporty person. Weaker individuals could need possibly both hands then for above floor cleaning what shouldn’t be a problem actually.
I have returned this for a replacement as there was a minor fault — However I think it is a decent vacuum for the price. Very light and easy to use.
Small dust container (but I knew that before buying). Battery life not perhaps quite what is claimed, however there are two batteries so can always have one charged and ready to put in.
Overall very pleased
Decent vacuum cleaner with reasonable amount of suction. Although it is very light, it does not glide that easy along the carpet and needs a bit of force to use. Battery only lasts 6 – 8 minutes on max and could definitely do with improving
Generally works well for a small house/apartment. The bottle fills up quite fast so have to empty it quite often and it works better when it is empty. Not as strong on the normal setting as I thought it would be , so have to use the turbo setting often, and the battery dies faster. Doesn’t take up space and packs away nicely.
Great hoover- works well on all floors. Easy to assemble. Might not have exactly the same power or suction as old heavier Sebo vacuum, but no more backache and easier to do quick cleans instead of one big clean! Very quiet too. Only small gripe is that crevice tool doesn’t clip onto hoover, so often leave lying it around somewhere! Easy to empty and charge. Charges upright or can just charge battery. Spare battery useful. Can detach top and hook onto stem to store so it’s half its height. Does what it says!
Its got great suction, a real improvement over the Dyson cordless we had
Longer battery, it also come with a spare, and unlike the Dyson the battery is not built in so once you need to replace the batter you just unlip the old one and clip on a new one
However when it comes to emptying the hoover – most of the dirt gets caught – you have to unscrew the bin, take out the filter from the top, turn it upside down and will empty correctly. I have no idea why it’s so bad when you empty the correct way, but its so infuriating, the Dyson it would all just full out without any effort.
Still worth it for the price, power and batteries
Took a while to go through the instructions and put it together. Works ok and fine for a small home with hard floors like ours. Being a senior, I wanted something lightweight that I could also use to reach up to the ceiling and convert to clean the car interior. Previously had a Dyson but they are much pricier. This is good enough for my needs.
This hoover is excellent. Light, good suction and the added battery comes in really handy. Would recommend.
I researched the main (more expensive than this) cordless vacuums as I wanted a lighter and easier replacement for my old faithful Henry. I was hesitant because I was unsure about how charging would work and whether it would last long enough to clean the whole house.
I eventually went for thisone, with two batteries, due to good reviews combined with the less than half price it was available for from Amazon Warehouse, with a bit of barely noticeable cosmetic damage.
I am really happy with it. It is far, far lighter and easier to use than I’d expected which means it is brilliant for homes with lots of stairs. The normal suction is ok but not perfect, so you do need it on Turbo for picking up bigger bits or hair. Using it like this I’d say I get twenty minutes from the battery. As this comes with two batteries you can just swap them over when needed, and it means you always have one ready charged.
The batteries are just charged from a normal wall plug, and don’t need to be kept with the actual vacuum, which folds in half so is only about the size of a pair of big wellies to store!
I’ve not tried one of the bigger branded cordless vacuums, but I can’t imagine they are much/any better. We’d been cleaning regularly with Henry but first time we used this SO much dust came up. It is also really easier for my tween/teen to use which is an added bonus!
Well ok, that’s a bit overkill. However; this thing is excellent, it’s light, easy to ship around and does a daily Hoover in less than 10 mins.
I’m 55; male; mild carpal tunnel; have wife; 2 teenagers; Labrador, long hair cat, so a busy house. Downstairs: two 11X 14ft rooms and a 10X 10ft, with laminate throughout and 1 large rug. Carpet on stairs with similar size and set up upstairs.
Vacuum is very easy on stairs, picks up let hairs with ease.
Whole house in under 15 mins. Getting to the end of the battery by that point, however my model came with two, so no issues.
Suction is very good.
Overall, very happy. I’ve had Dyson, Henry which were heavier, but not really any better and whilst I loved the industrial Henry, it was a pain dragging it about and tripping over the wire (it’s now relegated to the garage).
Attachments are fine.
We bought this as it was light and easy for my father, Plenty of power and suction have to battery’s is perfect use whilst other one is one change. Would recommend this to anyone
Ideal product to use in a bungalow with carpets and wood floors. Excellent performance. The second battery will be great for extended use but so far it has not been needed. The Amazon price was the market leader.
Bought to replace our Dyson vacuum. The Dyson was always poor at cleaning; we called it the ‘Dyson dust re-distributor’ and could always tell if an area had been cleaned with the Dyson or our Sebo (which actually works); eventually, the Dyson was lasting less than five seconds before the (replacement) battery ran out so needed to be replaced. The Hoover has been a revelation – much more effective than the Dyson ever was, quieter and the battery has yet to run out (not sure that we really needed to get the second battery but it means we can relax about recharging). The modular design is practical and intuitive. It is very light to hold. The capacity before it needs to be emptied is quite small but enough for us and it only takes moments to tip it out and start again. Can’t really think of any negatives…
It’s good for everyday use if you have hard floors. If you have carpets, I am not sure. Good thing – light weight and battery life is not bad. Suction is not good as I expected. I was disappointed as mine arrived opened, nothing was missing, however it left an impression that somebody returned it and had been sold to me.
It is a very handy and ergonomic machine. Very quiet as well.
Just bought this because I am sick of my g tech pet air ram going over stuff but not picking it up, I purchased that because my old Dyson was too heavy and I can’t afford the new cordless ones, very disappointed with g tech, they are overated. I love this one, very lightweight, picks everything up with plenty of suction and the accessories are great help, I’m 65 so anything that helps me keep my bungalow clean is great. As with anything I buy I find understanding the instructions difficult so I will probably look on you tube. Having used this vacuum several times I have found that the battery doesn’t last long , this should come with a second battery so there is always one ready to use. I have now purchased a second battery so I can vacuum the whole house.
Works well so far (about 6 months) – great at getting blasted dogs hair out of the carpet (I think we’re getting out stuff that’s been there for years). Definitely needs bigger dust storage as it has to be emptied too frequently (and the corners of the dust bin are a pain to get into, even with the supplied tools). Can’t speak for stairs, as we don’t have any, but I don’t see why there’d be a problem, as it’s pretty light. Suspect a bigger house would need to invest in extra batteries – we usually manage most of the (relatively small) house on a charge, but only just. Doesn’t really need a dock – we just leave it standing upright on the floor with the battery charge cable plugged in. Satisified overall, given the price (175) – much cheaper than the D word
A great vacuum cleaner, works really well on carpets but not good on hard floors, it tends to just push any crumbs etc. you have to have it on boost and move slow so it can suck it up. Therefore the battery runs out quickly ( there is the option of grabbing the second battery obviously)
I love the way it can be taken apart to clean, also the brush can be removed to take off long hairs which is a bonus.
An all in all ideal Hoover for carpets, hopefully they improve the hard floor cleaning capabilities on their next model as it is a let down on this one.
I have been very pleased with this Hoover which I had purchased for a specific purpose-for vacuuming under beds and low level furniture and for this it has been excellent. The swivel feature offers such good manoeuvrability of the brush-head and , important for an occasional use appliance, it is so compact to store However, I personally, don’t use this Hoover for general, all-round-the-house vacuuming; the dust canister has small capacity and the battery charging time, if you are half way through an (already put-off) deep spring clean task can be quite frustrating!
We held off from buying a cordless vacuum cleaner as we weren’t convinced it would be powerful enough or that the battery would last long enough to clean the whole house. Also we don’t have a mega budget to afford a Dyson. But this machine is brilliant! It cleans our 3 bedroom cottage easily on one charge. It gets all the dust up and the cat hairs. It works effortlessly on wood flooring, kitchen tiles, short and long pile rugs and it’s great on the spiral stairs. And as it is light in weight you can carry it around the house easily. We also love how you can make it into a hand held little vac for the high up corners and awkward spaces.
What a super compact cordless hoover. Just what we need for our 3 bed flat with a mixture of hard floor, Berber carpet and Persian rugs. Because we have Berber carpets in the bedrooms, we needed a hoover that could have the brush bar switched off and this has been difficult to find in most cordless models. Suction is great and is a brilliant design for really compact storage. Dust collection bin is small, but easy to empty.
My only disappointment, so the loss of a star, was that the lights on the front of the brush head only come on when the brush is revolving, so not on for hard floor/Berber carpet areas.
This Hoover 500 is recommended for carpets. The suction is powerful even without Turbo power enabled.
It doesn’t perform so well on hard surfaces though and cannot easily pick up small crumbs in the kitchen.
I purchased to replace my old cordless Dyson which has served us well over the years. We have kept the Dyson for our hard floors as it has a special roller attachment which the hoover does not.
The Hoover is very neat and small when adapted to the shorter storage mode.
Battery life is good when using in standard mode but Turbo mode does reduce its running time. I recommend purchasing a spare battery ( about 50 ) in case it runs out. Overall pleased with the purchase and it is certainly worth considering over the very expensive Dyson vacuum cleaners.
What’s not to love? We live in a 2 bedroom apartment and have a dog who seems to shed year round and I can hoover the whole place including the stairs without the battery running out. I’ve even managed to vacuum two days running on one charge.
Obviously, if you use it in ‘turbo’ mode the battery runs out more quickly but I can still get most of the house done.
The big toothbrush thingy is absolutely genius. I hope whoever thought of it applied for the patent!
The fact that you can take every part of the canister to bits in order to clean it is amazing.
Like I said, what’s not to love!
This Hoover was very lightweight with a good suction to it, very impressed
This is a very well made device with nice features. The attachments click in easily and they even give you a special Hoover bag to store them in so they don’t get lost – nice touch. I cleaned my car with it and it was very good. Swapping attachments for crevices, mats, seats etc. The transparent dirt collector is a good feature as you can see how much dirt and debris you have collected and know when to empty it obviously. Stands up on its own minimising use of space. Half the price of other similar machines but works very well. No negative comments to make so far. Great scores given to it on comparison sites.
It’s a great compact Hoover with good suction and high agility. The problem is because of that I can happily run around the house just vacuuming things I wouldn’t or couldn’t with my old Vax. Then the battery dies after less than 8 mins. I’ve now bought two spare batteries and and extra charger (takes over 4 hours to charge a battery wtaf?) for an extra cost of 60. What were the engineers thinking. A larger battery with a fast charger would make this a great product. I feel like I’ll spend my days obsessing with Hoover batteries from now on. Sigh.
Really light, easy to use on different surfaces around the home.
Does this whole house on one charge
Great little vacuum, unfortunately the charger has stopped charging after only 6 months and try as I have by contacting Amazon and the seller I cant get any sense from them about replacement although there is a 2 year guarantee. The seller directs me to a website but doesn’t give an address and then wants a video of a charger not charging eh!! I’m giving up and now have to buy a charger.
I wouldnt buy again because it cost 159 and now I cant use it unless I spend more money on a charger after only 6 months, the guarantee of 2 years isn’t worth the paper it’s written on.
Lightness, the way it turns to go under cupboards and flat toget every crumb.
Also picks up everything, and changes to carpet in a second.
My only fault would be container small.
This product provides a decent suction on hard floors and carpet but I do feel the intensity of the suction is greater on hard floors. There are times when the carpet mode switches on without being selected, I can only think that this is caused by the brush being forced down with the strength of the suction and rotating to then activate the carpet mode.
There is a good range of cleaning accessories, but I would have liked it if the nozzle had an additional attachment that was narrow and made it easier to clean tight corners.
If you intend to do a complete home clean (floors, upholstery, etc), I’d be surprised if the battery on full charge is able to cope with more than 3 small to medium sized rooms (roughly 4x4metres).
The lightweight and compact design is definitely a plus point for this product, there is no struggle to clean the stairs and then store away in the cupboard.
I don’t feel this vacuum would be ideal for anyone that has quite frail hands or arms as the detachment of the bin can be tricky – almost like opening up a tight lid on a jar. Other than that, the vacuum gives a good cleaning performance.
I’m not one for writing reviews but this little hoover deserves much more credit than its getting!
I did my research, read reviews and bought a Dyson V7 pet…wow what a let down…it looked beautiful but was heavy, attachments were annoying and most importantly didn’t pick up any larger ‘bits’.
It went straight back after one use and I took a gamble on this.
What a difference!!! Not only was it cheaper than the Dyson, it’s compact, super lightweight, really nice to use. I love how it can be freestanding and some of the attachments are built in so it’s super quick to change to handheld mode.
I have 3 very young kids, 2 cats and a partner who surfs (SAND EVERYWHERE!!!). Playdoh, endless trails of crumbs, pet hair…people hair….this hoover gets rid of the lot, first go, no second sweeps needed.
It won’t completely replace your big vacuum cleaner, mine is a Henry, I love Henry but he’s so heavy!
I needed a vacuum to quickly run round the kitchen and playroom a few times a day and this is perfect for that.
On hard floors it’s battery will do around 20-25 mins. On carpet about 15 min. I don’t have enough time or patience to vacuum for longer than that anyway! This is all in normal mode, I’ve hardly used turbo as it cleans fab without but turbo will drain the battery faster.
You could get the version with two batteries if you want it to run longer but I’ve never run the battery to empty, I put it back on charge after using and it’s ready to go again when I need it…I’ve never waited 6 hours like some people have commented.
The bin is really simple to empty, filters are easy to pull out and clear anything that gets stuck. It’s quite a small bin though, no problem on hard floors, I empty the bin every couple of days on hard floors but on carpet it really picks up fluff so you’ll have to empty after every use.
I’ve got long hair and that gets caught in the roller brush, but I don’t need to clear it that often. It took me literally 2 mins to pop the brush out, cut down the little ridge on the bar, remove hair and pop it back on. I think all roller bars on hoovers get clogged like this and its really easy to clear this one.
Also loved the LED light on the front, the battery and mode indicator lights are fab and unlike the Dyson you don’t have to keep your finger on the button to make it work.
If you’re looking for something to replace your main hoover, this won’t do it and you’re going to have to spend a lot more money. But I think this is fantastic value, a great design and has made my life a lot easier…and crumb free!
This is very lightweight and easy to assemble. The suction power is ideal for my needs and I can move it around very easily.
This is a great cordless Hoover for every household job we’ve had. The price is fair and makes it good value when compared to the similar quality makes of cordless vacuum cleaner.
From 1 charge it’s good for 1 very thorough clean of our large 2 bed flat, and enough got 2/3 light uses.
It does fill up quickly but the trade off is it’s really light. Charging could easily be done overnight.
The suction doesn’t seem to worsen as it fills at all. The controls are easy to manage and it packs away neatly. The “turbo” mode does improve suction and volume but even on heavily dirtied carpet it hasn’t been actually needed.
The accessories are great but haven’t seen a huge amount of use.
The vacuum is easy to empty and looks smart.
We have had this a couple of months at the time of the review.
Upon searching for a new vacuum cleaner, I was a bit taken aback to discover some were selling for more than 600! Don’t get me wrong, I’m all for quality products, but 600 for a vacuum cleaner to pick up dust and hairs is having a laugh.
Having shopped around and done some research I managed to find this vacuum which is about 1/5th of the price and I have found can also pick up dust and hair quite adequately. It’s easy to assemble and disassemble and easily cleaned as well – which is I guess is important if it’s to keep working as efficiently as it has to date.
All in very happy with the product and price. I’m now thinking about what to spend the 480 saving on.
Very light. Does as described. Good suction and small enough to do the stairs. Very pleased.
This is a fantastic hoover and is really powerful for a cordless
Mum in law approves of this so much she recommended it to her friend.
As I am getting older I needed to say goodbye to my friend Henry and get something lighter and more convenient.
The charge time isn’t as quick as some but two batteries is useful as we have one in the device and once fully charged and rotate the two.
It sucks better than a football team who haven’t won a game all season and the turbo mode is powerful and does a good job in short bursts.
It does get blocked occasionally which is annoying as have to take several minutes to clear. This has happened when hoovering hair and very dusty areas.
I am not sure I would buy another one but for now it is okay.
My thoughts after having to return the first of 2 Hoovers:
1. I ordered Hoover number 1 from Amazon warehouse when it was discounted for a second time during the Prime event (102). It stated that the item was complete but would have a few scratches, which didn’t bother me. The item was free of scratches but when I switched it on, the motor squealed like a banshee. I spoke with Amazon and requested a replacement, which they were unable to provide, because it was bought from the warehouse. I promptly returned Hoover number 1.
2. I then set about ordering a replacement. I went for the same make and model, again from Amazon warehouse. This time it stated the item would have a missing manual and small scratches. None of this bothered me as the manual is available online and the scratches are only cosmetic. The item arrived as described but the pre motor filter was also missing. I had to purchase this separately (5). Added to this, the warning light for cleaning the filter is permanently on, though it doesn’t affect the Hoover’s performance.
3. Because the Prime event was over, the second discount wasn’t available for the second unit (25 extra to purchase, plus 5 for the filter). Amazon refused to honour the second discount , even though the return and second purchase was totally down to them pedalling out defective Hoovers.
4. I decided to keep the second Hoover, even though it has the annoying ‘clean filter’ light on all the time. This was bought for the times when all you need it a lightweight decent vacuum to clear up spills, etc. My main vacuum is a robotic floor device which is great for the daily clean up, but not so good for small awkward spaces and acidental spills.
5. I have bought numerous items from Amazon warehouse before and was always pleased. This is my first and last electrical item from the Warehouse. In future, electrical items will be bought brand new.
Purchased this as an alternative to a larger corded vacuum. So far it has been good but I’ve noticed a few drawbacks.
Pro’s:
– Lightweight, I was surprised it came in a small flat box, more like a laptop box than for a vacuum cleaner! But kudos to Hoover for not wasting packaging as they managed to fit lots in
– The carpet setting utilises the led lights which is really useful, I turn it on even when using it on flat surfaces
– Quiet, well a lot quieter than a Dyson anyway
– No cables
– Good selection of tools
– Easy to store, it comes apart in sections which then fit together to be stowed in a cupboard or on the wall with the included wall attachment
– Two batteries included (which were pretty much fully charged upon receiving
– Charging time, around 6 hours
Con’s:
– The batteries don’t last as long as I’d have expected, infact in turbo mode you barely get any time our of them, better sticking with normal mode
– Suction, whilst on the whole it’s not bad, if you have some built in dirt you have to use turbo mode, it’s just not got the continuous super suction as a corded, larger vacuum, it’s not terrible though, adequate for general cleaning
– The waste recepticle/hopper, whatever you want to call it, it’s not big, infact it’s quite small and tricky to clean as it curves around inside so can’t get a utensil in to pull dirt ou
I am very glad I got this vacuum cleaner. I got H-FREE 500 Energy version and I was impressed on how well it worked. At only 33 I suffer from sciatica and manoeuvring the traditional vacuums was getting difficult and painful. I researched a little and found this to be a good compromise between all the features I wanted vs the price I was able to afford. The machine itself is feels expensive and sturdy, all the extras work well and my version came with two batteries that do last as long as the description says they do (in the normal mode). It is super easy to manoeuvre it and the best part is that it lays flat, allowing you to clean under the bed! Like other have said, I too was surprised about how much the little LEDs are useful while your cleaning. I could only find 2 downsides (one of them is a minor observation). 1- The power button is too near the handle, causing you to sometimes turn it off by mistake, it doesn’t happen that often but it would be good to fix this on a later model. 2- because the way the cylindrical brush is made to turn on itself during carpet mode, a lot of strings and hairs will get stuck, you will have to manually cut them out. It is not a major inconvenience, but I know some brands have a little blade you activate by pressing a little pedal and up go the hairs and strings. As a suggestion, it would be nice if the unit came with a place where I could keep the smaller extras.
Very efficient lightweight and easy to use. Well designed and instructions for using moveable parts etc clearly marked on machine. Perfect for my 3 bedroomed apartment and my chronic arthritis!
First time I bought cordless machine and is good aby easy to use
Having somehow accumulated 4 cats and just bringing a puppy into the home, as well as having a toddler who has perfected the art of leaving crumbs wherever he goes, I knew I needed a new vacuum. I wanted something lightweight that I could carry about the house without worrying about leads or anything else. I also have carpets upstairs and hard floor downstairs, so I needed something that could do both, but I was primarily worried about hair, dust and crumbs in the carpet.
The Hoover H-FREE 500 Pets Energy is really small and extremely lightweight. I was a bit worried that the size of the capture container would be too small, but it works out perfectly. It does fill up quite quickly if you have dirty floors, but it is really easy to unclip it and empty it with no fiddling. I found this so much easier to change than my previous Dyson which requires 20 minutes of swearing for me to empty when needed. Having used this one now I wouldn’t want a larger one as I really love how compact the vacuum is, and how you can easily lift it to get cobwebs or dust from higher places as well.
It picks up extremely well, getting hair, dust, mud, dirt, crumbs and unknown bits of alien matter from my carpet, things I didn’t even realize were there. The small suction attachment is extremely powerful and ideal for stairs which get heavy use. The larger attachment is easy to change from hard floor to carpet, and I like the addition of a light which lets you easily see if you’ve decimated the dirt.
Battery life is the only downside with any hands free vacuum really, I’m getting around 15-20 minutes on turbo power or 40 minutes on normal power, which is probably about the amount of time I want to spend vacuuming anyway. The bonus of buying the Energy version is the extra battery which effectively doubles your life, the battery clicks in quickly and can be recharged with a simple lead at the socket. Compared to some models that require you to plug the whole vacuum in, this is much better, as you can easily recharge the second battery whilst using the first and then switching over if you have a bigger job to do.
Overall I’m very impressed with this Hoover and it has really made cleaning up after my horde simple and easy.
I have tried so many cordless Vacuums in the past so I was a bit sceptical about spending so much on a new one, I am so glad that I did.
I have a cat and a dog so obviously I need a powerful cleaner with good suction and brush head to be able to clean up all the hair and mess animals make.
Due to arthritis I found the standard Vacuum heavy and bulky as I had to have one upstairs and one downstairs as lifting one up and down the stairs was sometimes a problem. This Vacuum is so lightweight I can easily carry it up and down the stairs, so I really recommend it if you do have similar issues.
All of the tools and accessories fit on the Vacuum so no worries about losing them or in my case the dog finding them and eating them 🙂 and changing the tools is so easy same when wishing to turn the cleaner into a handheld…. simple press of a button and you have a handheld.
As this is a pet Vacuum it has to be powerful, I would say that on standard mode it does not have the power to pick up all the hair on carpet, duvets etc so you really need to use the turbo mode. The turbo mode gives a huge power boost to the Vacuum but does drain the battery VERY quickly, but you really only need it when picking up stubborn pet hair. On standard mode it is powerful enough to be used for general day to day cleaning and dusting etc.
The brush works really well on carpet and can be switched off for use on a hard floor. Also the pet brush attachment works really well at picking up pet hair or carpet with heavy footfall where it gets a lot of use and would need the extra brush.
There are 2 batteries supplied with this Vacuum, which I thought excellent a bonus, but actually you will need both batteries fully charged to hopefully do the entire house obviously depending on how big your house is and how many pets or messy kids you have or a messy husband…. if you are someone who Vacuums every day then you may be OK as you will have less dirt to worry about and can fly thru the cleaning. But if you need to use the turbo mode use it wisely as you will run out of power quickly. I wish the charger came with 2 charger cables so we could charge both batteries at once in 6 hours instead of 12 hours.
The dirt collection cylinder needs to have the instructions printed on it for people like me who do not read the instructions 🙂 when I first emptied the container I noticed it was small and I had to stick my fingers inside it to pull out all the dust and hair. Then one day I accidentally pushed the middle section of the container up and voila out the middle came out and emptying it is now so much easier.
The dirt collection chamber is quite small so you have to empty it move frequently that some others but for the extra power and how easy it is to empty I am OK with this.
In the end I guess I am more than happy with this Vacuum, clears the space of two Hoovers, means I can take it up and down the stairs easily, has great power when needed. What more could you want…. well maybe a bit cheaper would have helped, but it sometimes is true that you get what you pay for and on this occasion that is true. I just hope it lasts a long time to justify the price…..
I bought this vacuum as a surprise for my wife, it came as Amazon arranged, but it was faulty , rang Hoover who were very helpful, said it was a circuit board problem, Sent it back after contacting Amazon, another was sent but did not arrive , even though it stated handed to resident on tracking , not us it was’nt ,or any of our neighbours. Contacted Amazon again who kindly refunded our purchase which we did not want, we wanted another Hoover vac . Few days later we ordered it again and it arrived . Amazon seem to get lot of bad press but with us they were brilliant. This Hoover vacuum is very impressive, powerful ,lightweight, it stands up on its own and we would totally recommend. The twin battery is excellent, we manage to do our 3 bed twice with one charge. It stores easy and the tools are part of the machine. Why 4 stars, to be picky there no crevice tool and the dust canister is a little small and tapers towards the exit and can be a slight performance removing the debris but not enough to be annoying. For the money its brilliant , having had 2 others of well known makes, this is easily the best. Family and friends have seen it and want one.

Absolutely EXCELLENT product, beautiful design , extra battery is such an extra, replaced a Dyson with this and couldn’t be happier , out performed the Dyson hands down , and virtually half the price
Light and good suction. Good also having a second battery
This cordless vacuum cleaner wasn’t on my radar until I tried out some other brands and realised how heavy they felt in use. I decided that some of the brands were too expensive and then stumbled across the Hoover H-FREE 500 range. These cordless cleaners are light, maneuverable and easy to use. I bought the version with two batteries as I liked the idea of longer cleaning times. This is a very good vacuum cleaner and makes cleaning much quicker than the corded version it replaces. It is easy to store and I use it to clean the whole house and it can easily be pulled out to tackle smaller jobs. The only downside is that it could do with a wider range of attachments. A proper crevice tool and a hose with a duster attachment would make it perfect. A good product that has been very well designed. It is an allrounder that can tackle most cleaning tasks.
Bought a Dyson two years ago and it packed in. It wasn’t cheap either. The Hoover is much better, doesn’t run out after a few minutes and you can hoover the whole house in one go. Would recommend big time.
This hoover is fantastic! I can use it daily to get all the little hairs and dust from my carpet and bathroom. Battery life and suction is pretty top notch for a handheld. The manoeuvrability is excellent and all the little attachments are great!
When I first received the vacuum and looking at the box it seemed a bit too small for a vacuum to be in there, but this shows how space saving it can be Both myself and my wife have been using this hoover for over 6 weeks now, and can say that I am very impressed with it. Both myself and my wife put together some pro and cons for the vacuum so you can see how we liked and disliked it. There are more pro then con for this vacuum. Where the cons are: – Charging time – Hard floor cleaning – Battery life (when using turbo mode) – only two tools. Pro – Two batteries (21.6 V 2500mah – Each) – Brush on the wand pick up hair from carpet very well – Brush has a notch to cut out the wound-up hair – Space saving – Stands by itself – High suction (Only on turbo mode) – Easy empty rubbish – Light weight – Handy light on floor so you when the brush is working – One button start As you can see that there are more pros for them vacuum then cons for the price and features you cannot go wrong. I would have liked a few more tools so I could use it within the car as with the attach tool it can be a bit fiddley. The brush is very easy to clean out just have to unclip the roller and the whole brush pops out. The vacuum glides over floors and is very easy to move around been that it is light weight. Threre are different models you can choose from and you will need to get the one that will suit you home.
