First time with a bagless hoover. Good suction. Easy on hard floors but harder to manoeuvre on carpet. The lead is on the short side and it’s necessary to unplug and replug as you move from room to room. Also, the pipe is quite short. I’m 5′ 6″ and have to stoop to use. UPDATE – after further use, the suction has deteriorated and the pet attachment is useless. It now moves easily over carpets due to poor suction resulting in me having to pick bits off the carpet. Very disappointed and will unfortunately be disposing of it.
Best vacuum cleaner I’ve had for years. Great suction power really gets the pet hair out the carpet and picks up all the litter.

Smart looking String Tubing, Very Lightweight, and super suction, which for me was the most important.
Others have said on there reviews that its too powerful, but yo can adjust the position of the base from the floor and the top slide, and allows you to change for any type.
Had a Dyson before but feel for the price was being cheated, and this affordable hoover proves that.
The hoover is lightweight, powerful and quiet. The only tiny downside is that it isn’t the most manoeuvrable of hoovers. But perhaps that is due to the suction power being so strong.
I bought this because her indoors kept calling every vacuum cleaner a hoover and it was annoying me, but she loves playing with this and now gets the name righ
Was concerned so cheap and therefore not up to the review. Wrong! Powerful little machine that copes well with wood floor, dog hairs and carpets.

Bought to replace a Vax that we’d had for years. Always apprehensive about new vacuums as never sure how good they are for us. This one’s effect so far. Easy to use, light enough to move about easily, easy to empty and clean.

This machine is light in weight and easy to use. The fact it is customised for animal fur helps to pick up the little pieces from the carpet as well.
Good lightweight vac. Very easy to assemble, and like the onboard tool storage. The poles are a good length making it easy to use, good suction and does well on the cat hair with the pet attachment. Bagless so dead easy to empty. No complaints.
This is a fine Hoover vacuum cleaner. I have a small flat and where space is always at a premium for storage, this fits the bill superbly.
It’s bagless, so no hassle with those, and emptying is easy; straight into the bin.
This is ideal for a small flat, and for where you need easy movement, such as on stairs or for cars.
This vacuum cleaner was easy to assemble and comes with 2 main vacuuming heads. The first one is your standard floor attachment that can be adjusted on hard and carpeted floors. The second attachment is for the removal of pet hair and has circular brushes underneath, just like the ones you find in an upright vacuum. With this attachment on you can certainly pick up pet hair and give your carpet pile a lift. This vacuum was powerful enough for my use, light weight and easy to control, the only negative for myself is that I could have done with the poles being a little longer as I found myself stooping over whilst using the cleaner.
This is a pretty light Hoover that’s easy to move around the floor, although the extension cord is surprisingly short given the model. The suction works very well on hard floor services (I used it on wooden floors and tiles) but the performance was less good on carpet (although this may well be because I was using it on stairs). It was particularly good at picking up long hair and dust bunnies and the container is easy to empty. All in all I was very happy with this.
The Hoover Optimum Power KS51OP2 Bagless Cylinder Vacuum Cleaner is easy to assemble and figure out how to use. A cursory glance at the instructions and two minutes of your time is all it takes to get up and running.
The KS51OP2 Bagless Cylinder Vacuum Cleaner is light and easy to move around the house. It works well on floors and carpets. I was impressed with the rotating Pets turbo brush – to remove pet hairs from carpets and settees.
Emptying the (bagless) vacuum is easy and not too messy, and like similar vacuum’s, it comes with an automatic power cord rewind.
Cleaning stairs (especially with the Pets turbo brush) is easy and effective. The only negative is that I found the brush head comes off too easy. A couple of times it has fallen off mid-clean – which is why I have removed one star from this review.
Open the box, slot the pieces together (no screws required), and you’re ready to roll. The instruction booklet has the usual exploded diagram, with the elements identified by letters. The body of the instructions refers to the elements by numbers!! Thankfully, they both use the same descriptions, so it’s not a major problem, and once you’ve done everything once, you know it anyway.
It is very light, but surprisingly powerful, without being noisy. We have low-pile carpets, which it cleaned admirably.
The pet hair nozzle was brilliant for the stairs, and the telescopic handle was so easy to adjust for doing different levels.
The dust collector is transparent, so there’s no excuse for not knowing when to empty it. The collector has a single clip for removing it. and a separate single clip for removing the end cap once you’ve reached the dustbin. There are no messy bags to cope with. Reassembly is similarly quick and simple.
When using the main attachment, it’s true that fibres can be redeposited when pushing it forwards, but so did my last vacuum cleaner; you simply learn to pull it towards you when necessary.
It’s compact for easy storage. Access to filters is also very well designed.
This is probably the simplest hoover we’ve ever had, without losing effectiveness. It’s also quite a pretty red.

Visitors are coming, so a good opportunity to test this Hoover Optimum cylinder vac. Weighing in at 4.5kg it is easily luggable for upstairs, and a decent length of hose and extension tube, together with 5m of cable gives reasonable reach.
The big wheels pull easily and it’s not too noisy in operation.
We only have hard floors and short pile carpets and it coped very well on them, it was light enough to carry whilst doing the stairs … as it did on the sofas and sucking up the odd web at ceiling level.
Unless I had a small flat I would not have it as a main Hoover but for small areas it would be fine. Emptying is very easy, just as well as the capacity is less than 2L.
