Bought as a ‘like new’ item from Amazon Warehouse. Very happy with the item looked completely new and unused, complete with accessories. Huge discount compared even to a Black Friday deal. Bit of fiddle to get handle screw in but I had a screwdriver to hand. Easy to use, reasonably light to manoeuvre, plenty of cable and stands upright when not in use – despite other reviewers saying it doesn’t, listen for the click! Worth buying extra mop pads as the 2 supplied didn’t stay clean long.

Loved the versatility, you can clean any surface and even hard dirt!.It’s light enough to do carpeted stairs etc.. Only downside is that having to put pressure on the trigger all the time is very hard. would be nice to have a trigger lock.

Very happy with the machine. It does all it says. It’s a bit cumbersome using it handheld for windows but that’s my only grouse. My main moan is that it is impossible to register. The company linked to the purchase does not register steam cleaners. They put me in touch with Hoover who said they’d pass my details onto the right department but I have had no contact from them. I just hope that if I have a problem with the steamer Amazon will step up and deal with it.
There are so many of these on the market, but I’ll write down what made me keep this:
– Heats up very fast and keeps a consistent level of steam.

– The scrubbing head clips/unclips easily with a touch of my foot and easily lifts off any stuck dirt on the floor
– I’m yet to use the carpet glider so I cannot comment on how effective it is, but it’s one of the reasons I picked this one

My only negative is the colour of the mop, is not a stylish sort, and it can look ‘plastic’ but it does a very good job so no major issue.
The instructions are very simple, they are just pictures on the box for you to work out – There could have a been a quick leaflet describing how to use it 🙂

I have used the Hoover 2in1 steamer over the past month and have been very pleased with the results. Here are the reasons: – The product is very solidly built and it is of high quality. It has a good amount of weight to it which allows for appropriate pressure when you glide it across the kitchen tiles or floorboards. – The steam does a great job cleaning your floors, without the need of any cleaning products. – Being able to detach the appliance into a handheld steamer is very handy, allowing you to get hard to reach spots, such as around the toilet. – The handheld tool is also good for steaming clothes. – Multiple attachments allows you to clean various items and areas. Negatives: – The weight is generally a good thing when cleaning floors, but as a handheld device it is quite heavy to handle. My wife did complain (a little) about the weight but she still happy with the results overall. I had no issues with it. – Even though the clean is really good, the steam leaves a minute amount of liquid on the tiles which need to be dried and polished with a towel, otherwise you are left with streaks when the floors fully dry. All in all, a great product which I am happy I purchased.

I bought Hoover Steam capsule 2-in-1, 1700 W because I have a little child and 2 cats at home and is a multi-functional tool. I was looking for something easy to use and convenient for daily cleaning.
Hoover Steam 2-in-1 come with a lot of accessories, like a mopping pad, carpet slider, triangular and metal brushes, curved nozzle, conical tool, hose, window squeegee and a small cloth.
This model can be converted into a handheld, making it easier than ever to tackle your windows, bathroom, oven or kitchen worktops. I really like the quick heat-up time (15 seconds) and it is ready to get cleaning.
The water tank is enough for 20 minutes work and it`s work for me.
The steam capsule is extremely easy to use after a few using and it a “must-have” for families with little children and pets. You can set the steam to low, medium and high, so it works on different floor types like tiles, laminate floor or carpet brilliantly.
The power cord to the steamer is really long (7m), which is great and you don’t have to swap plugs halfway around the room.
After a few used I can find few cons:
Can get a little heavy after a few minutes of use. Leaves the floor quite wet but, to be honest, it’s dry fast. Unclipping the handheld cleaner is easy enough but the tools for the handheld can be a bit fiddly.
Instructions are not great and I was struggling when I used them the first time.
After years of using the old mop and bucket , I decided it was time to hit the 21st century and try a steam mop . It’s incredibly easy to set up , and heats up did use in 15 seconds . It comes with 2 pads , which are reusable . You can machine wash them over and over , so you’re not constantly having to replace them . Mine were grim after the first use , I did put them in on a pre wash cycle , which brought them up like new .
When you’re using it , it glides across the floor , so no exertion needed . The triangular base fits into corners – the head swivels as you move it , so it’s literally no hassle . If you have any heavy use areas that need a bit of extra oomph , just hold the cleaner still for a few seconds , and the steam does the work .
It’s compact enough, so I’ve managed to stand it in a small cupboard . The lead is long , so unless you have very large rooms , you probably won’t need to unplug and plug in elsewhere . It holds enough water , so I’m able to do my kitchen and lounge with one tank .
I bought a bottle of ironing water and used that as part of the water I put in the tank as I live in a part of the country with very hard water.
I’m 40 and the ease of use with this steamer is amazing although it is a little heaver than I was expecting. I wish I’d bought it years ago
The steamer is great, much less bulky than my previous steamer with the added bonus of being a multi functional tool! It can clean everything, tiles, ovens, windows and even steam clothes! It is lightweight, simple to manoeuvre and the scrubbing nozzle is an excellent feature for stubborn dirt on hard floors. It also has a glider attachment for carpets and rugs. I gave it 4 stars as I found the steamer attachment difficult to place correctly and steam would leak from the hose attachment. I would recommend this excellent piece of kit to everyone!
This is the first steam cleaner I’ve ever used, and I must say I am mightily impressed with the results. It was so easy to use, and I was taken back by just how many uses I found for it around the house.
Not only did it clean our kitchen floors and hard flooring around the house, but our windows are now sparkling clear; the steam instantly removed the excess dirt that had built up over time, both inside and out.
I would say this is a must-have accessory and having seen first-hand the results it can deliver, it is a wonder how I haven’t purchased one before! Highly recommended.

All in all this is excellent, a little on the heavy side but amazing on tiles and GROUT! But it will not stand up on its own – it also leaves the floors rather wet on the high setting but I can cope with that as I have underfloor heating.Wold have given it 5 stars if it wold stand up as it says it will

Good little steamer works great on tiled floors and wooded floors, very easy to use & it has a build in filter for hard water but the only thing is you probably need to order a replacement filter cartridge, I didn’t realise so I need to get one to keep in.
I have never owned a steamer. So this was my first ever purchase of an item of this kind. I took the plunge with this one based on the reviews. And it worked out tremendously. I cannot believe how filthy my kitchen floor was….as you can see from the photos! Excellent piece of kit. Have so far cleaned my bathroom grouting and mirror, tiles and floor in the kitchen and the laminate in the living room. Such a difference! And so easy to set up and use! Highly recommend this product.

Been thinking about buying a steamer for a while. After lots of reviewing and searching, I opted for this one and it is brilliant. I got it yesterday and have used for the first time today on both hard and carpet flooring. The easy of using the machine is almost effortless, it has a great swivel and has all the bits and pieces to fit into any space – believe me I have tried them! The mop heads are also great as they will machine wash; the water tank is a good size and the machine itself packs away very neatly for storage when not in use. I would DEFINITELY recommend this product. Good value I would say at full price but I managed to buy with a discount so even more pleasing! Loving it.

Liked the idea of the lift out part for tougher marks and for corners, I use it to remove stains from tile grout and in the corners.
The water tank is easy to fill and good size- I manage the dining room/kitchen, conservatory, downstairs toilet and main bathroom.
The floors are quite wet after steaming – in comparison to the previous steam mop I had.
The floor pads are easy to fit and remove and okay to go in the washing machine.

Good performance. Large water tank capacity. I like the steam options and the brushes, saves another job with a stiff brush. 1 little niggle, why make the mop pads white? Wish I’d found it sooner and saved money on purchasing a failure.
I have had a few different makes of steam cleaners and this is quite honestly the best of them all. It is sturdy, easy to fill and very efficient. Very satisfied thank you.
Bought this to replace a VAX steam cleaner that had packed up after 3 years light usage. Totally different quality, this machine heats up in seconds, steam is really good and even and cleans well. My only slight grumble is storing it as it doesn’t seem to like standing upright! But this aside I love this machine and can use it just as easily for just one minute as for cleaning the whole kitchen over 20 minutes. Head pivots well and you can reach under chairs easily so much better than the VAX models
My first steam mop and it’s brilliant! You can choose from low, medium or high steam flow and there’s a boost jet for when you need that bit extra.
I have a very untidy cat who carries her food onto my laminate floors. The mop removes food residue with no effort. This has saved me from scrubbing these areas as an average mop doesn’t shift them.
The mop comes with clear and easy instructions, 3 mop pads, it has a scrubbing function and can also be used for steaming carpets. It’s fab!!!!
Excellent steam cleaner. The scrubbing brush lifts really ingrained dirt leaving the floor unbelievably cleaner. The variable steam setting allows me to clean wooden floors using the low setting. Really pleased with this.

The instructions for the machine were picture based which I am never a fan of, and I did look up online how to use the machine before I started.
The water tank is removable and only requires a small amount of water for each use. I thought I would have to refill the water part way through cleaning but this was not the case.
The power cord to the steamer is really long which is great, as it means you don’t have to swap plugs halfway around the room!
To turn on you simple push the start button and a red light appears, literally 3 seconds later a green light appears and you’re good to go and can start steam cleaning.
The steamer is really lightweight and easy to manoeuvre whilst steaming the floor. You are provided with two clothes which attach via Velcro to the base of the mop, so after I’ve used one, I can throw it into the washing machine and attach the other so I can continue cleaning.
There is an attachment for the base also so you can use the steamer to glide over carpeted areas within the home which I like to do due to having pets.
Whilst steaming you have to press a trigger button continuously which is located within the handle of the steamer. I did find that after a while this lead to my hand aching and it’s a shame that there wasn’t a switch that just meant steam could come out continuously until you switched it off again.
I find the best part of the steamer is the fact that with the touch of my foot on a release button the head of the steamer comes away from the base and is bristled so can be used to scrub at those more stubborn stains on your floor still whilst steaming. I have not seen this in other steamers so was very impressed with this unique selling point.
Finally, the capsule itself can be removed to become a handheld steamer for cleaning things such as kitchen tiling and ovens and there is even a small attachment so I can clean my windows too!
All in all I find this machine very easy to use and the attachments are very easy to clean after use.
I would say that people who are a little frail may struggle with having to continuously press the trigger button to produce steam, but other than that I really like this product.
I really like the quick heat up time as you’re ready to get cleaning within minutes of turning on.
Our entire ground floor is a textured woodgrain vinyl but the Hoover Steam Mop 2 in 1 really does a thorough job. Our household is made up of 5 adults, 1 dog and a cat, it’s busy round here, especially since we’re all here all the time!
We’re all used to a pleasant scent after we’ve cleaned but we shouldn’t forget that comes from chemical additives. To check it’s cleaning, if you’re in ant doubt, just look at the mop head when you’re done!

I decided to use this for many different things around the house. Was very happy that It came with so many different attachments for different areas. Just cleaning the tiles in the kitchen and the grout areas came out so clean was amazing. Also windows are so easy to clean with it being light weight also made things easier. Also loved the fact I could clean the wooden floors as well as my big rugs. All in all I just found this product to be really useful around the house enjoyed using it and saw great results.
I do like a good steam mop, always makes me feel I’m really giving the floors a deep clean. I have a very busy household with kids and animals going in and out all day so my floors get particularly dirty quickly.
The mop heated up quickly and the steam power was very good. I like the size of the cloths that attach to it. I decided to try it on the carpet and it was easy to move over the carpet, didn’t leave it damp and did a good job, I also took the main head off and used it on the tiles in my toilet and was impressed there too, last but not least I used it on my cooker as a handheld and again the steam power was very good and the variety of tools that come with it impressive.
My only niggle is that mine was missing the hooks for the cord and when I messaged hoover on here they were asking me to send pictures but I can’t, so I haven’t got these replaced.
This product (the 2-in-1 steam mop) was very straightforward to put together, and once assembled was very easy to use.
When used in regular ‘upright’ mode it does a very effective job on hard floors (not tried on carpet). The three steam settings cover most use cases (probably ‘medium’ is as high as most tasks will require). It’s lightweight and maneouvrable but is robust enough to give a good scrub when needed.
Unclipping the handheld cleaner is easy enough but the tools for the handheld can be a bit fiddly (and the microfibre on the ‘pad’ cleaner attachment is hopelessly thin and so really isn’t any use for scrubbing). Having the steam setting on medium or high causes a very loud whistling (like a kettle) but I guess the handheld just isn’t designed to be used on anything other than the low setting.
Overall I’m pleased enough with this purchase but probably wouldn’t buy again at the RRP – I’m just not convinced enough that it’s enough better than a traditional mop to warrant the significant expense.
I really liked the Steam Capsule 2 in 1..the mop feature is great for steaming out hard floors..you can even use it on carpets with the glider fitting. The handheld capsule is great for things like bathroom tiles and kitchen fittings. We used it to completely clean our hob and it worked through the grease very easily and left it sparkling. The only drawback I would say is that the attachments aren’t very easy to pop onto the capsule and the squeegee attachment snapped as we tried to put it on, so we now can’t use that. Other than that, all good. Lightweight and easy to use so I would recommend to others.
Overall a good product, this mop is very versatile and can be used on many different surfaces. I like how lightweight it is compared to other steam cleaners and it’s very easy to store as it’s so slimline.

I purchased this Hoover Steam Capsule cleaner as a replacement for an old, well used machine. It has made light work of cleaning the tiled areas in my house. Quick and easy to set up and use, just fill the tank with water and wait for it to heat up. The floor takes just minutes to dry afterwards too. The floor pad washed well in the washing machine. Overall I’m very pleased with this model and brand.

When I first got it out the box I thought I bought a star trek gun!
It was easy to assemble and have multiple modes.
It can be a hand mop for floors, portable for surfaces for windows and for ovens etc.
I havent used it for really tough baked on issues, but general floor / surface cleaning it is good.
A bit too much water in the steam when on medium / high so dries slowly.
But the positive review is in the results for me. It works for what I need it for.

I hated using cleaning liquids with 3 young kids spending so much time on the floor. Natural alternatives took a lot of work and scrubbing, but this has been so much easier. The scrubbing head clips/unclips easily with a touch of my foot and easily lifts off stickers/playdoh/dried up jam/sticky raisins and whatever they walk in from the garden! The carpet glider also easily clips on- I’ve used it to quickly freshen up the rugs in our kitchen/diner that get a lot of traffic.
Quicker to set up than a traditional mop, cleans without residue/smells/chemicals, dries in minutes and quick to tidy away, I have definitely been converted.
My only gripes are with the removable handle- I hate those ball/clip things and struggled to release it. When I did, the handle didn’t sit securely in the holder and wobbled about. I’ve been storing it fully extended rather than mess around with it.
Also as a first time user I was a bit apprehensive over the simplicity of the instructions. They are completely picture-based aside from the warnings and I felt like I needed a bit more guidance at the start. It was simple enough to work out but I didn’t want to do anything wrong!
I’m so impressed with the ease and results and glad I finally took the plunge to get one.
I would very much recommend this product. Having never used a steam cleaner before, I am now rather sold on the idea and am glad to have made the purchase!

+ Very lightweight! I have an injury at the moment which means I need to ask someone to get the vacuum out and bring it over to me as I shouldn’t be lifting it, but this is so much lighter than a vacuum cleaner.
+ Ergonomic design, very comfortable to use in my opinion.
+ With a bit of time and effort, it got rid of stubborn kitchen floor stains that were there when we moved in and I had given up hope of getting rid of!
+ Your mileage may vary on this one, but I found it immensely satisfying to use. It makes a quiet noise and gets to work immediately, and watching the muck disappear as you gently glide it back and forth almost feels like an exercise in mindfulness in these uncertain times of quarantine!
+ Doesn’t leave floors as wet as mopping. Yes, floors will be warm and slightly wet, but not at all sodden.
+ Easy to use once set up. Plug in and go!

Cons
– A trigger needs to be held down continuously while using the steam cleaner. I didn’t find this to be a problem but it may prove difficult or annoying for some people.
– The written instructions were slightly confusing at first – may have been translated from a different language into English? However, in combination with the pictorial instructions, it’s not hard to make sense of them.
– I think some of the components had been jostled slightly in transit, which meant that it took a combination of the written and pictorial instructions and the brains of two of us to figure out how to set up the steam cleaner. However, once it’s set up it’s good to use and very easy to operate.
– It takes a bit of a knack to use (slow, sustained pushing back and forth) but works well once you get to grips with this
– If you’re cleaning a hardwood floor that has bits/crumbs/hair on it, you will need to vacuum the floor prior to steam cleaning to get a good result, though I think this is just the way steam cleaners work rather than a fault of the product itself!
– Occasionally, the steam cleaner would fold or stand back up without me meaning to. This was only a slight annoyance though and is the trade-off for it being so easy to fold and stand back up when you actually want it to!
So far I am enjoying this product for a number of reasons. I am noticing more of a deep clean on my hard floors and have enjoyed using the handheld aspect of the 2-in-1 on my windows and my oven. I would like it to generate a little more steam however, and a cordless steamer would be easier to use. The steamer is very light which makes it easy to use, so far so good!

This steamer is great. Very easy to setup but the attachments can sometimes end up the wrong way round, might be user error 🙂
The steam that comes off this is great, even on medium. I’ve cleaned the floor, carpets, windows and everything else to be honest, due to the situation. The fact you can remove this from the floor matt to a brush scrubber on the floor is great.
I have no hesitation recmommending this but wish the floor matt was thicker as this was kinda thin.
Genuinely impressed at how quick it goes together and packs up for storage. It actually took longer to identify the instructions in the box weren’t for the same steam cleaner, than to assemble it! There is no trigger to make the steam work on this model, just happens on its own so much easier on the hands!!
I managed to do the whole place on 1 tank of water and there’s plenty of steam.
This isn’t designed for carpets but I did give it a
go and except for the fact the red pad shield kept dropping off because of the carpet texture l, it did a reasonable job, didn’t leave them too wet and was quick.
It terms of hard floors it was quick and easy and certainly more efficient than a mop!
Easy to put together and the tank is easy to fill and takes seconds to heat up.
This was easy to use and made the job quicker than a traditional mop and bucket.
The things that lets it down is that it is very top heavy and falls over too easy also the cloth that came with it has already started to fall apart after 4 uses and could be pricey to replace.
We first tried out the mop with the pad attachment – it made cleaning our wood and tiled floors an absolute breeze. It’s quick, efficient, doesn’t really leave floors wet and when you’re done with the pad you can just throw it in the wash (no fabric softener) and it comes out lovely and clean. It has two pads in the box, but you can buy more online.
Next was the turn of our non slip white hallway tiles – the bane of my life! Sure, they look beautiful with their light blue pattern, but even though we are a shoe free house, these beasts hold on to dirt like you wouldn’t believe! My usual cleaning routine is a bucket of hot soapy water, a scrubbing brush, and me on my hands and knees swearing as I build up a sweat! Happily, those days are now gone thanks to the integrated triangle scrubbing brush on the steam mop! We whacked that baby on high, and it lifted all that dirt with very little effort! As you don’t have the pad on at that point, you do end up with wet floors, but a quick sweep of the floor with our microfibre mop quickly sorted this out.
We then decided to put the mop away, unclip the hand held steam generator, and to try out the various attachments. This is where the Hoover Steam Capsule 2-in-1 Steam Mop REALLY shines! The round metal brushes made light work of cleaning the grills on our neglected BBQ, the smaller curved nozzle concentrated the steam and blasted away any grease on our enamel cooker with its cast iron pan stands, and the window squeegee with its small cloth left our stainless steel extractor hood, as well as the tiles above the cooker, shiny and pristine.
We haven’t yet tried it on our windows, the carpet glider will get its day on our rugs and there’s so many other functions it will be undertaking in our home, but this little piece of kit has totally transformed our cleaning routine. It makes daunting tasks (almost) a joy, it’s quick and easy to use, and we now couldn’t go back to being without it.
Nice sturdy machine, the floor cloth stays put whilst in use rather than it rolling up or slipping off!
The handheld part worked great on the hob (see the before & after pictures).
It also works well for defrosting a freezer too! You can get it done in less than half the time!
The only downside is it does start to feel quite heavy.
Upon setting up the unit that involves securing the handle to the base unit. I found mine was not pumping out steam. This was because the water pickup float inside in the tank was upright due to shipping so I had to knock it back down so that the water was sucked from the bottom and it fixed it. Nothing was in the manual about this so maybe could be added.
Floor cleaning the unit offers an amazing amount of steam consistently and is quite in operation. The pads that came with it appear to be good quality and can be washed easily. The floor has two functions and when you detach the smaller head from the bigger base it has a rougher brush that gives allot more steam for tight or stubborn areas.
Using the 2 in 1 function I tackled tiles in the bathroom and hard water spots on the bath and all of these cleaned easily using the built in attachments such as the flexible hose and stiff bristle.
I have also cleaned car interiors and wheels with this and it worked amazingly on dried oil.
Overall a very versatile machine that I would not hesitate to recommend. See attached pictures for clarity on each area.
Happy with this product so far – simple to use and comes with clear instructions. I love the versatility of it – hard floors/carpets/handheld. I think I will be using this all the time now. It left my hard floors really clean and was fairly quick to use.
Down points – not that light weight, would be better if cordless and I’m not sure whether you are supposed to keep your finger on the steam release all the time or not?
I had been looking for a new steam cleaner and my current one just wasn’t performing well on my white gloss floor.
The cleaner was easy to set up, just attach the handle with one screw then fill up the water reservoir and it’s ready to go.
I love the triangle scrubbing brush. I have alot of stubborn marks and scuff marks from furniture / my daughters bike tyres and the scrubbing brush got rid of these with little effort (see pics). The transition between floor cleaner and scrubbing brush is very easy, just step on the lever to get to the scrubbing brush then click back in place. This was very useful for doing a large area and switching to get the most stubborn stains.
I haven’t used the handheld cleaner yet but I’m looking froward to it. It comes with plenty of attachments to clean many things. I am planning on steam cleaning the sofa next.

Love that I can switch between handheld and floor easily. Did kitchen floor and kitchen wall tiles easily without faffing about. Easy to detach handheld and add nozzles to do tiles. The kitchen splashbacks are the cleanest I’ve managed to get them in years. Can’t wait to see how clean the windows come up when I do them with its utensils that come with it. No extra cost for utensils, nothing worse than buying something then having to buy different kits for different jobs.
The Hoover steam cleaner is so easy to use, just have to fill the tank with cold tap water, nothing else, and plug it in! The power cord is long enough so you can manoeuvre it easily, it’s quite light too and the top bit comes out, slots at the side so it’s easy to store if you, like me, don’t have a full size cupboard.
The picture was taken right after I use the steam machine to clean my kitchen (which I had cleaned with floor wipes just the day before!) it clearly shows how the steam cleaner really does a much better job. It does comes with 3 thick, good quality pads like the one shown, which are machine washable, no waste or expense getting single-use pads.
I’ve found the carpet slider included also very useful as I have light carpets all over, it really just glides over with almost no effort. The floors are left ever so slightly damp but even in bad weather it air dried very quickly.
Got this few days ago and used twice to mop the floors. It’s my first steam mop so still getting used to it but so far so good. Works especially great on the tiles, leaves a bit of smudging on hardwood floors but that may be down to my amateur technique The only problem I had was the assembly – handle part was really hard to attach, couldn’t get the screw holes to align properly and had to ask husband for help. Managed though! Using the mop itself is easy-peasy, just add water, press a button and use. Cord is long enough to mop my house without switching the outlets. All in all great device and really handy with 2 messy kiddos.
