Found the assembly manual difficult to follow but not a problem. Easy to start but found petrol consumption high, although this is my first petrol chainsaw so may be acceptable/normal. Works well.

Good value saw and was easy to assemble. Had to adjust the chain a couple of times but I was worried about over tightening to begin with. It’s easy enough to readjust, two min job. It’s not light but then that doesn’t bother me too much as this will only see light use. Hot starting is fine but I find cold starting a bit of a chore. Maybe it’s me!
Let’s see how it fairs on the test of time test.
What a lovely saw plenty of power, not to heavy, I’ve just had breast cancer. Left side mastectomy so still managed a day on saw.
Seems really good quality for the money and Hyundai are a good well known brand looking forward to many years of use out of this product.
My chainsaw broke after 5 months and I’m finding it difficult to find how to replace.
Great piece of kit. Some assembly required which is good as it helps you learn about the saw. 3 year warrwnty and a spare chain are a welcome bonus
Once assembled it took a little fiddling to set up but Wow! very powerfull saw and worth buying.
After assembly it started easily without issue, some of the revues have mentioned the pull cord failing however the saw has a decompression button which needs to be pressed before starting which reduces tension on turning over the engine which if not used could explain breakages on the staring system.
The saw was used all afternoon with no issues, it cuts nicely on its side without fuelling issues and very rarely gets bogged down when cutting large sections of pine, it does use more fuel and chain oil than my smaller saw but it is bigger and more capable.
The saw is supplied with tools a bag and 2 chains which are very sharp and surprisingly stayed sharp the hole day although did stretch quite a lot and needed adjustment when refuelling.
I think for 150 it’s a winner its much better than the 70 cheap saws available on the web and comes with a 3-year warranty although I did purchase the additional amazon cover for accidental damage etc which for 20 is a no brainer, would I buy this saw as a dependable work tool no if it breaks it could take a while to send it off for repair under warranty opposed to a saw purchased locally with good spears availability but for occasional use and cutting up fire wood I highly recommend it.

Have had a few chainsaws over the years, this one is awesome! Once you overcome the challenge of building it (not rocket science, but could be a test if you don’t know your way around a chainsaw) it’s plain sailing all the way. Very easy to start, and cuts like a knife through butter. Have a few Hyundai tools and they are all excellent, every bit as good as the much more expensive options that do exactly the same thing.
I’m a owner of a gardening company and I’m really impressed with this machine, I’ve had mcculluch, Mountfield saws but this is really powerful and nice chainsaw.

first use replacing a useless McCulloch CS340.
Simple assembly, started easily, cut through the wood the mcculloch failed to in about 30 minutes ( semi aged hardwood fir trees), good length for substantial logs. minimal vibration, chain was cutting happily. Initial impression is way better than the mcculloch and 40 GBP cheaper. Will update on second use
What a pleasure to use.No glitches,faultless performance.Used it on a 25″thick wet Cherry tree.It flew through with ease.The storage bag is very good,as is the toolkit,The fuel mixing bottle is very handy too.The spare chain is an added bonus.On the down side,the chainbar cover is a bit flimsy/fiddly.And the destruction book is not too good.Never mind because this is a good saw and will get used often.Just take time setting it up properly and keep checking the chain tension for the first few times you use it.

It was easy enough to assemble, watched a YouTube video as well as using the instructions. It cuts through logs like butter, follow the startup instructions perfectly and it starts every time, stop start with no issues. Spare chain and all kit included, definitely worth every penny.

I purchased this as a temporary substitute for my 12 year old Stihl chainsaw which is in need of a service. For the price of a service I got a new chainsaw! I was not expecting much but thought I would give it a go. It arrived the next day!
Assembly is simple, just follow the instructions. Two chains were supplied, I thought this meant they were not going to be any good… how wrong was I .
The starting process sounds complicated when you read it but with the correct petrol mix it works and mine started after a few pulls.
I had been hand cutting 2m planks of oak from 14″ – 16″ branches with my Stihl and thought this would be a serious challenge for the Hyundai. After three passes I had cut more than half way through the log, which is as good as the Stihl achieved. The chain is incredibly sharp and even after the plank was cut it did not need sharpening. There was some sag to the chain which was adjusted by loosening the chain guard nuts and a quarter turn on the chain adjustment screw.
I am very surprised at the functionality and efficiency of this 20″ chainsaw. It may not feel as nice to handle as top end manufacturers but it does the same job. Will it last as long? Only time will tell.
This is a serious piece of kit, don’t be misled by the price.
This is a great chainsaw. It’s cut through several small trees, awkward branches and is easy to assemble and clean. Good carry bag and value for money
Ok, so I made the beginner mistakes. Kept using it too long without tightening the new chain and so the chain eventually came off and the guide links got chewed. Did this twice with both chains, dafty! But, after a bit of filing (also cheated and used grinder) to remove burrs from chains, I set it up again and did A LOT of work with no problems (checked chain for tension at regular intervals).
So, the long and short of it is, this is a good chainsaw, just don’t make newbie mistakes with it!!!!
Very sturdy, quality bit of kit that I hope will last for many years of home garden use.
This is my first chainsaw but so far I’ve used it to cut 16″ slabs of cherry, Yew and Ash with no problems. As you will see from the video I just managed to cut a 23″ slab vertically with a freehand technique. It is powerful so you need a good amount of strength to ensure it does not overpower you. Factor in the purchase of full PPE when buying a chainsaw. One mistake is all it takes. Have fun.

4* because nobody reads the 5*, I never look at them mostly false. This really is a good chainsaw, goes together easy and is not heavy for a petrol model. so don’t believe the wingers, not sure what they were expecting to buy.. I’m well pleased with it.

Bought this to use at home and so far, its performed really well.
I bought this as a back up saw while my other was serviced. It cost a quarter of the money that the other saw cost and works just as well. Easy to start, powerful and good to use, it restarts very easily hot or cold and will now get as much use as the other saw. Contary to some other comments I have seen here, it is easy to start, adjust and use and makes light work of normally heavy cuts. I will not hesitate to buy another when needed.
I recently gave a negative review of this product. I apologise. I have been proved wrong. My mistake about the chain tensioner.
The price is amazing and the 3 years platinum warranty gives you peace of mind. The cover is a great touch as is the tool kit, but my cheap, nasty, screwdriver was fortunately broken on arrival. Better that than when you need to do adjustments “in the field”. A second chain is also very handy as a backup.
It can flood easily, but just knock off tbe choke and it will soon catch. If it gets too hot it will slutter and stall, but only when ticking over, which seems like a sensible idea. The weight takes it’s toll after a couple of hours use. Take a Yorkie/Mars Bar for that mid afternoon energy boost .
The 20″ blade is like a light saber.. Possibly too long for some jobs, but a boon for others. The extra teeth seem to reduce wear as I haven’t lost any “edge” after about 50 ‘serious’ cuts.
Very happy customer so far. Be Safe and budget 100+ for PPE and a ‘field’ first aid kit! Training strongly advised!!

I bought this chainsaw because i needed a larger one, brilliant bit of kit, easy to assemble easy to use not to heavy, cuts like a hot through butter, really happy with it, would buy again.
This is a great chainsaw just cut down some trees this morning and it cut through them like butter. The instructions were easy to follow. The build quality is good and it started by following the instructions the first time. Nice wee tool kit and spare chain supplied everything included fits into the bag. I have had chainsaws in the past but for value for money and power, this one will take care of all my gardening needs. It also comes with a three-year warranty which is a plus. A great tool I would certainly recommend it.

Super easy to set up and started straight away.
I had a huge tree to cut up and this saw made my life so easy. It went all day with no issues, unlike previous chainsaws.

Just got this for my birthday, log cutting and general tree felling, quality product seems very strong, comes with two chains and all switches and components seems strong and very well built. I am going to use this for the first time next week and will post on usability if its not what I have commented on.

The pull cord mechanism is all plastic and broke when the saw started for the second time. Poo design would be better with metal parts for this.
Easy to assemble, clear instructions. Once started it proved to be a truly effective bit of kit. Goes through thick timber easily. I would recommend this product.
Bought as a replacement for my old chainsaw. Easy to assemble and start following the instruction guide. It feels heavy to carry but once you are using it it is well balanced and easy to use. Used to cut large tree trunks and didn’t disappoint. It was a beast making light work of cutting. Ran it for a couple of hours and impressed with the quality of the chain. With a 3 year warranty good value.

Great chainsaw, wasn’t sure what to buy as I don’t know much about chainsaws. I was told Hyundai was a good make and I am so pleased I chose this one! Easy to assemble and powerful. Needed for cutting up a load of logs in the garden and it’s doing the job brilliantly.

Here’s an update: the pull starter broke after just a few hours use. Called customer service this morning and a new part is in the post. They were very helpful and a real pleasure to deal with. I think the pull starter is probably a bit rubbish but knowing that there aftersales people are just a call away and the fact it was so easy to get the new part I’m still glad that I chose this one. It’s a good powerful saw and I highly recommend.
Excellent chainsaw as good if not better than some that you would pay 600+ for and considering you get the extras such as carry case and 2 chains it is excellent value for money. Performance is fantastic, easy to start and a nice weight to work with. Definatly recomend
Bought this chainsaw to cut train sleepers. Cuts through them like butter. Cuts straight and square too. I’ve also cut quite a few seasoned logs and some small trees. Blade is still sharp. Went for this one because of the 3 year warranty and the fact that it has a British parts supplier. Had a bit of a problem with it cutting out when using it with the fuel filler facing down but sorted it by giving the saw a good shake (probably shouldn’t be using it that way but what the hell). I did call customer service who were friendly and easy to talk too, he promised to call me back but didn’t so I was a bit disappointed. We’ll see what happens if it breaks. It’s a good strong chainsaw and I love it. One little thing is that the Hyundai sticker on the side is upside down which makes me doubt there quality control, saying that the machine is well worth the money. Oh, and the bag that it comes with is rubbish but better than nothing. For a hundred and fifty odd quid it’s a blinder. Only time will tell if it’ll last, I will update after I’ve battered it a bit more.

I’ve used chainsaws for many years, from all of the big name brands, and I’ve got to say this is a good as any of them. Given the price, it’s a no brainer – this is my top pick.
Easy to assemble, easy to start, easy to use. Spent 6 hours with it falling trees of various sizes, and cleaning up the mess – was very pleased that there was almost no vibration throughout (no dead hands from too much vibration!). It cut through everything with ease – am very happy with it overall.

The saw is easy to use and start once I remembered to push the compression switch in. Had a smaller saw for years and the extra size and power makes a massive difference! Not the lightest but you don’t expect it to be.
Very easy to set up, solid construction too, this machine seems very well made. All the relavent tools are supplied along with a spare chain and a chain file too. The supplied bag is a big bonus and fits well. Have only started machine to make sure it’s running well and will be using it from next week. Really pleased with my purchase
The Hyundai chainsaw was very easy to put together. Nice that it came with 2x chains and a small set of tools for everyday use. And great little carry bag stops the mess being transfered to your vehicle for transportation. Easy to start and use the only draw back is having to reset the decompression valve as it is is to forget when starting.
Excellent product, got up and running in around 15min and made really short work of three large trunks I had in the garde
Just unpacked this really great looking, robust feeling chainsaw. Very easy to assemble, full disclosure, I have owned and used chainsaws before but I can imagine that a novice would have no problems assembling as the instructions are clear and easy to follow. Once oil was filled, the fuel mix bottle makes it very easy to mix oil and petrol to the correct formula and the bottle handily contains the correct volume to fill the fuel tank! From a cold first start it only required 8 pumps on the primer, four VERY easy pullscon the starter cord and it then burst into life!! Feels really good in the hands and I can’t wait to get on with all of the logs I have to cut!! Really happy so far, a lovely bit of kit!!!

Good piece of kit. Using it on oak trees at present and works well. .My only quibble is the assembly instructions – I’ve made up plenty of power tools and these were less than clear. Be aware that it is quite heavy – not a problem for me but could be for others.
The saw arrived very soon after ordering and took less that half an hour to assemble. The instructions were clear and precise.
First time starting was a little tricky but once I got the hang of it the engine started easily.
The saw is very powerful and I would suggest would tackle most jobs without any problem.
Overall a sturdy piece of kit at a very good price.

Next day delivery, good value, easy to assemble and easy to start…within 30 minutes of delivery I was outside cutting logs for next winter. Made light work of the 36″ willow trunk that I had just collected locally. Perfect for those with log burners/open fires that choose to cut and split their own logs.
The only issue I have had so far is that the bag provided is quite a tight fit & it is easily punctured.
Have had it less than a week so far and have been impressed. Time will tell but in clearing a large split & fallen ash tree it impressed a professional tree surgeon using saws costing many times the cost of this saw. If it proves a reliable as my friend’s Hyundai car then it will be a valuable addition to my tool shed.

It just tears through trees and is good for carving wood as well.

Well made complete with the two chains, mixing bottle, and carrying bag. Good instructions easy to follow. The only issue I had was that after using the chainsaw when I wanted to use it again it was very hard to start but if I let it cool down it started OK.
But it’s still a good buy.

Just arrived today 2 days earlier than expected. Looks fantastic. Haven’t even started it up yet (waiting on chain oil and 2 stoke oil to come tomorrow) but for now it gets 5 stars for looks, feel, build quality, carry case, mix bottle and tools. Will update in due course. This is a lot of machine for your money. Update – machine fuelled and started. Took a good few pulls to begin with but eventually burst into life. Cuts well! Unfortunately the bottom tang of the bumper bar burst through the carry case. Think I’ll put a cork over it in future!
