Firstly, the best thing about this camera is ease of use. It’s a quality device, well built, but super easy to get set up and install. The CloudEdge app is brilliant and talks you through the simple setup steps. This camera adds to the list of other in the app if you have them and is really well thought out and simple to use. Activating PTZ and rotating the camera is just a click away. There are many other settings for motion detection etc in the app, but the default settings seem to be just about right without having to change anything.
The camera itself is well built, but surprisingly compact (see next to phone for scale). The mounting method is brilliant, with a sturdy metal bracket and easy to attach camera. This makes a world of difference when balancing on a ladder. I found attaching to a corner soffit allows a full 270 degree usable view, switchable between SD and HD at a click of a button. This camera also allows looking straight down and also upwards at a higher angle than some other cameras. For the price, the fact that it also is standalone battery powered (or USB or Solar panel) and has full 2 way audio/intercom is amazing. In the box, there is also a voucher for a free solar panel or 64GB SD card too. You really couldn’t ask for more. Highly recommended.
This is my second camera from ieGeek which has served me very well, this camera pivots and tilts which is the main reason I bought it. I love the ability to turn the camera in any given direction when needed. The camera is very robust and solid there’s a good weight and size to the unit which is reassuring, mounting the camera is just a breeze took me less than 10 mins to installing the mount and placing the camera which is then tightened with four thumb screws. The fact that there is no wiring or running cables is such a convenience just mount the bracket and your done. My pervious ieGeek camera came with a 10000ma battery which lasted about four months before charging, this newer camera comes with a 15000ma battery which should last a month longer so I’ll be lucky if I need to charge this unit twice times a year. The quality of the 1080p footage is brilliant, the night vision is fantastic it also has a zoom function which I haven’t tried yet although its only digital zoom. The app is very easy to install and setup and provides peace of mind when away from home, receiving alerts when it detects motion.
Highly recommend if you need the security and protection if anything happens to your property providing evidence of the event.
***UPDATE March 2021***
I take it all back! As thought, it turns out I had a faulty camera… ieGeek reached out to me and sent me a brand new one – WOW what a difference! Crystal clear picture and strong WiFi (no drop-outs like the previous one) and the colours are true-to-life – much more along the lines of what I was expecting (basically the same performance as my IG62 but at a higher resolution/better definition)
Experimenting with the motion detection at present – think some of the issue was caused by the poor image quality of the initial camera as does seem a little more responsive…
Thank you ieGeek support for your support and service… 10/10!

Initial review posted:… Disappointing performance and very poor WiFi
Well, I have to say I just do not rate this camera… Initial setup is easy enough and the app is fine but I feel let down by the camera itself…
Like others, I seem to be experiencing WiFi issues – constant drop-outs and slow speed even with the camera placed the other side of the wall to my WiFi access point! It was so bad that in the end, I hard-wired it using CAT5 but still find I am experiencing random dropouts (although far less than when it was on WiFi) – the main reason for buying this model was the enhanced aerial! (also have a cheaper IG62 camera which connects by WiFi and is 10x the distance away and through 2 walls – get a rock-solid connection to that one!)
Image is also a little disappointing – one side of my picture seems to be very pixalated and lacking detail (the right side in the photo) – contacted support who, although polite, were of little use – after first asking if it had water in it [how could it, it is factory sealed – unlike the cheaper units, you don’t have to take it to bits to install an SD card] they then advised that it is ‘acceptable’ but I should try repositioning my camera to point it to somewhere a bit lighter – erm, ok, all very well but the very slight flaw with that is then it wont cover the area I want it to cover! I know it’s not a 5MP camera but again, image quality from the cheaper model is far superior… [Did also raise the WiFi issue with support who basically said it could be my network – erm, did you not read the bit where I explained that another of your cameras 10x the distance away has no issues at all – and, quite frankly, when placed the other side of a wall to an access point, there should really be no issues]…
I also have an issue with the colour rendering – it’s almost like the IR cut isn’t right – the colours just don’t ‘pop’ – purples and greens are a funny shade (they still are purple and green but nothing like the actual colour – again, the cheaper IG62 seems much better in this respect)…
Motion detection is pointless – even rain sets it off – yes, I know it’s not the easiest of things to do in the processing power you have – but I’m not talking about rain in general – if the rain drops are big enough and are within a couple of feet of the camera, I just get constant alerts to say ‘Motion Detected’ – ended up switching that off!
Night vision does seem good though (allowing for the previous comment re image quality but at night the image wont be as sharp anyway) – the ring of IR LEDS is not particularly noticeable and does give illumination…
I find myself in 2 minds – do I return it or keep it? I will probably end up keeping it but will relocate it to cover another (smaller) area and buy a 5MP camera to replace this one (although alas, not an ieGeek one)
At just over 40 – it is a bargain. Fitting was very easy and the power cable easily long enough. Setting up was not so easy – as the instructions are not clear. I could not link the camera to my Vodafone 4G broadband wifi (dual band 2.4GHz/5GHz). But it recognised and linked easily to the EE landline broadband wifi even though the router is in the house and the camera is outside on a barn – about 15 metres away. Good Zoom feature and good sound quality. Would definitely recommend it. I only gave 4 stars for motion detection as it is very sensitive and I still have not got the adjustment right. It is picking up very movement.
Loving the camera but disappointed not to get the SD card with i
Camera easy to set up, I simply followed the Cam Hipro in app instructions. Considering the price paid everything looks good so far, picture quality, features and ease of use. Would have been 5 stars but for the fact that in my particular installation the integral camera cabling (LAN connector, reset button, power receptacle) had to be stored away in a weatherproof junction box on outside wall. This for 2 reasons, 1- not enough cable to create drip loop, get through cavity wall and then be stored suitably. 2- If you could get round point 1 a 20mm hole is required through wall to get all cable ‘terminations’ through the wall. I routed only the powerlead through the wall which required an 9.5mm hole, the powerlead is approx 2 meters in length. Will update after 3 months use.
Easy to fit, good picture quality would recommend this produc
Further to my my previous review on the camera of which I was unhappy about the picture quality, I find after adjusting the setting and reformatting the SD card, the picture quality is much improved, I also like the humanoid recognition function and the zoom. shows it pays to go into the camera functions properly before casting an opinion.
I will probably buy another.
I STILL FIND THE LARGE SIZE PLUG LEAD A PAIN TO GET THROUGH A WALL WHEN IT IS HARD WIRED!
I bought this camera a year ago largely because of the reasonable price and good user reviews but only got round to putting it up in November 2019.
Positives
1. Build quality seems good. Compact and solid
2. Picture quality is good especially on the HD setting
3. Power supply has a long lead (3m) so no extension cable required
Negatives
1. Despite the IP67 rating, my camera let in water to the extent that it stopped working. Water behind the lens and in the SD card slot (see photos). Maybe I put it up in a too exposed position. So my advice is try and install it somewhere that is a bit sheltered e.g. under eaves.
2. The reset switch and power cable connector need to be housed in a dry place e.g. a waterproof connection box. (A waterproof connector is supplied for the Ethernet cable)
3. PC Software Hip2P is quite slow and clunky and not very intuitive to set up. Later versions of the software are a bit better. They can be found on the Iegeek or IPcam websites. The mobile phone software is a bit easier but is more limited.
4. There is no option for secure encryption (like most cheaper webcams). This will make the camera easier to hack.
5. There is a customer service email address, but I got no response when my camera failed.
Conclusion
Installing and connecting up an IP camera can be quite a time consuming business, so my advice is don’t waste your time – avoid this camera and spend a bit more on something more reliable. I’ve had my Foscam camera out in all weathers for several years without problem…
Follow Up – 4 February 2021
=====================
I got round to taking down my failed iegeek security camera today. Opened the SD slot and orange coloured water dribbled out. It looked like my Sandisk Extreme Pro 128Gb SD card was trashed – stained with the orange gunge – but it dried out and cleaned up and is working fine in my new camera (an Ezviz).
Recordings on the card showed that the camera worked OK for a total of 10 days until it got too wet. So the moral of the story is don’t assume that an IP camera is OK just because it works fine out the box. Put it up outside in the rain. Then at least you can get your money back if it fails straight away as a result of water damage. Interestingly I could not find an IP67 rating anywhere on the packaging or camera despite this waterproof rating being advertised.
Update 12 March 2021
=================
Customer support reached out to me following this review. Looks like the email address I wrote to was the wrong one which explains why they didn’t reply to my previous emails. They advise that they have resolved the security problems that were around a couple of years back and this model is no longer at risk of hacking. It is still a good idea however to change the default user name/password from admin/admin to something unique.
Failure caused by water penetration does not appear to be a common problem with this camera judging by the reviews on Amazon, so maybe I was just unlucky. As a gesture of goodwill, Iegeek have offered to refund me or replace the camera despite it being out of warranty. So given all that, I have changed my review rating to positive.
Really pleased with this purchase, the camera is a sleek design, and easy to adjust so that you can set the camera in a suitable position on the house. The 3m power cable is just about long enough, but I understand that extensions can be bought. The visual quality is good and night vision at 30m is a great advantage.
I have been using the camera for 2 months. The picture quality is good and the night vision has been improved compared to previous models. As some people mentioned the camera could be really sensitive even if you play with the settings and set it to the minimum. I have stopped the alarm function and set it to 24h recording.
I had been dreading getting this setup and working as I expected it to be a total faff. Actually it was pretty much plug and play, working first time with my phone, my daughters phone, my partners tablet, and my laptop. Its also now working on my TV (via a cheap DVR from China which took some setting up, but that isn’t the cameras fault and its working great now). The picture quality is great and the night vision works really well. It also picks up the WiFi very well. My only negative is its a bit bigger than I expected, but that’s my fault for not checking the details when I ordered it.

There is little to dislike about this camera. It is well made, metal cased and records locally to SD card as well as over the local Wi-Fi. Picture quality is excellent, especially in darkness.
Bad stuff.
The manual – even the addenda on the web site – are poor translations into English. If you are new to this sort of kit you might have problems, especially with some of the advanced features.
It only really works with Internet Explorer – at least to set up – as it relies on Active X components, which are not supported in modern browsers, not even in Microsoft s’ Edge. So keep an old copy of IE to hand for setups.
Like a lots of this type of kit, the proof will be in how well it stands the test of time, but it looks a good buy so far.

Easy to setup and configure. Great picture quality. Using it for outdoors. Will buy more to cover the whole property.
Excellent camera with good product support, the picture quality is as good if not better than higher end systems both day and night, the audio is an extra bonus and the ability to adjust the sensitivity is a bonus, I didn’t want every passing vehicle picked up so with a small adjustment it avoids them now. I have an SD card in the camera and this works well for recording when alarm is triggered, I don’t use the all day function for planned recording times but useful if required. The ability to watch live is good for when I’m in the workshop, plus I can have a conversation through the audio with delivery drivers. All in all very pleased, good price and good quality camera that is easy to fit and set up. I will be buying another very soon.

I got this to upgrade my existing iegeek camera as this one has audio. It is outside the porch looking toward the door.I was not bothered about ALL the bells & whistles but to see who is at the door is ideal for me especially as this has audio. I have added this to the app & set it to continuous loop video.Other camera may now well go to the back somewhere.Outside my wifi is approx 60% mostly the camera stays connected, it does occasionally drop out but always connects when prompted from the app. Obvious next step wifi booster required. At the price I paid it is absolutely perfect for my needs & significantly cheaper than the well known video doorbells on offer along with no extra monthly ongoing costs.I haven’t tried all the facilities as they are not for me, but the way I use it then it’s far more than adequate for me.
Installed an outside power socket to plug camera into. Working well, monitoring garage and drive to 128GB SD card. Using the cameras WAP instead of a router. Wireless connectivity about 20 metres. I have thick solid walls so signal has difficulty penetrating. Opening a window in the house helps being able to connect from laptop.
Picture quality is excellent, day and night. The humanoid sensitivity settings needs playing with as the alarm keeps going off. I’ve disabled the siren in the interim.
All in all a good buy for the price.
The previous camera has been running for over a year without any issues.
I was after an affordable and user friendly camera, without subscription fees and I was amazed by the quality and functionality of this camera. The set up is very easy and the high definition image is excellent. The talk back feature and sound was excellent and I can now have peace of mind that I can check on my property when not around.
Great outdoor security camera for reasonable price. Now with the improved antenna is much better, not loosing connection at all. Sometimes having problems with the spider webs but that’s something I can sort out. Picture quality is great even though the night. Only down side is the motion detection could be improved. Except better human detection not a spider webs or a heavy rain to trigger it. But overall very good and quality product.
great camera for the price good picture even at night – cant work out how to get the picture onto my laptop though
Great camera with a very clear picture quality. Playback of recordings are great and easy to access. Alarm settings are a godsend which can be turned on and off as necessary especially when away from your home for several days.
A real bonus is the ability to have Audio both ways, what a great feature.
All in all, a great camera even though it is slightly expensive. I like these cameras so much I have 2 which cover the front and back of the house. Night vision is also quite brilliant.

This camera is stunning – far better detail and higher definition than earlier iegeek 1080P cameras and far wider viewing angle.
For the novice out of the box wanting wifi camera to work….
If you follow basic instructions, download app to your phone (say Camhipro) use ethernet cable connected to router and set up wifi as instructed. (I have my cameras on wifi not ethernet, the reason being I don’t want to drill ‘big’ holes in walls to feed ethernet cables through to router). I actually installed ABS boxes on exterior of house to contain all cables everything except 12V power cable.
Firstly, the app…There’s a few settings you might want to alter and use, alarm recording etc.
You can alter ‘Humanoid alarm’ to ‘frame human form’ if you want see frame of AI in app recording and what has caused ‘human’ trigger. It’s not infallible – the neighbours fat black cat sometimes triggers it at night…haha!
You can also use this ‘Humanoid alarm’ function with ‘motion detection’ if desired and link the two together and define area trigger. I personally don’t use this, and I’ll explain why further down.
I actually cranked the bit rate up to 6144 and frame rate to 25Fps in video settings. Because it is VBR (variable bit rate) and Fps is maximum frame rate, the camera decides what is best in firmware…i.e these are not fixed, so will vary regardless…some people think the camera is ‘fixed’ to this bitrate and Fps – not true…I also did this because video definition is higher and much clearer than default video settings..
The video replay will ‘stutter’ on playback in app after trigger (if you look at little symbol of SD icon on ‘Camera’ you can access all triggers and view them). Consider this a ‘preview’ of what caused motion trigger…it seems that when camera triggers off movement, the frames ‘freeze’ on trigger and causes ‘stuttering’. I see others complaining about this…however, if you ‘download’ triggered video to app, SD ‘symbol’ ‘download’ this puts video in app folder. Then return and go into app folder icon on main ‘Camera screen’. Hit the blue ‘download symbol’ at right hand side of saved video in app…and then hit ‘determine’ – it means ‘yes’…another Chinese term haha! This converts and puts video in your phone. Now, replay video that’s in your phone memory…hey presto…no ‘stuttering’… and a smooth video. I’ve tried this on my Samsung S9+ – I just look in ‘gallery’ and recent videos.
I also set the camera up for email as an experiment…a bit fiddly, particularly as I use btemail…took me a while to find the server port and settings – SMTPs name – mail.btinternet.com, server port – 465, safe link – SSL, authentication on.
I actually tried this on another hotmail address I have, these are the settings, SMTP name – smpt.live.com, server port – 587, safe link – STARTTLS, authentication on.
Make sure you put the ‘receive alarm push’ on in settings ‘alarm management and notification’ setting – this will allow camera to transmit email trigger within seconds…
This option sends ‘snapshots’ via email of what caused trigger. You can set how many pictures to be sent…’alarm management and notification’ tab in app, right at bottom ‘number of pictures taken’ – you can set this between 1 and 3.
It works pretty good…
Now, there is another way of accessing more ‘advanced settings’ not available on app but with your own PC on same network in your house.
This is how you do it…In the app, if you scroll down in ‘camera settings’ and ‘Device information’ it gives an ‘IP address of camera’.
Note this, and type the address in search web bar…(I use Chrome).
This camera has a web interface…it should come up with login screen. The default is login name ‘admin’, password ‘admin’ (unless you’ve changed password previously – which I highly recommend…).
You won’t see any live stream off camera – the reason being (in my case), Microsoft/Chrome block flash player automatically as a security risk, and this uses flash player (if you re-enable it – you will see live feed from camera). You can also enter ‘settings’ tab, it’ll possibly ask login name and password again. There’s a plethora of settings…
I actually changed the ‘H265’ default video setting to ‘H264 High profile’ (you cannot access this in app on phone). I’m not a fan of ‘H265’ encoded videos, although it might be great, a lot of older devices don’t support ‘H265’ – it is a new compression method. I actually see no difference in video quality. I also saw some guy complaining that he could not upload ‘H265’ videos to youtube (they don’t support it) on questions about this camera when I looked last night…
There is another reason, I changed the video to ‘H264 High profile’ below…
I’ve actually got these cameras working on ‘Contacam’ software – I have two, monitoring back garden and front garden. They use RTSP, so I can access them with IP address and RTSP port 554.
I love this software on PC – purely my own preference. I can define in intrinsic detail area of what triggers cameras on motion detection…mask out tree branch movements etc.
So, I use a standalone fanless PC in house triggering and recording separately at night time using Contacam.
I primarily use the cameras to monitor wildlife in my front and back garden with PC and Contacam software.
However, I found that Contacam drops camera feed if video setting is ‘H265’. When cameras are set to ‘H264 High profile’ they work perfect. That’s why I altered it.
The HiP2P Client software they recommend, I ditched. It worked great on microsoft windows until I changed passwords on cameras. Then I couldn’t login (even with new password I set on cameras)…couldn’t be bothered investigating why…if I can’t login with a secure password on P2P, I always think bin it.
This is funny as well, the 5MP camera I installed in back garden…the wifi router signal would not reach it. So, I bought a relatively cheap extender from Amazon…https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00NIUHAG6/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o05_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
I thought, no chance – it can’t cope with data bandwidth (some people talk absolute rubbish on internet and condemned this when I looked), anyway after lots of fiddling about with where to put it, it works perfect!
So, the pros…
Excellent high definition footage (particularly on my Contacam software).
Very good notification on app ‘human’ motion trigger – it triggers correctly – it’s captured every dog walker that’s walked past my house.
Superb night footage and live high definition video ‘feed’ – possibly the best camera I’ve had for this…
The cons…
HiP2P client is not good enough – I never resolved the login stuff.
Any video I’ve captured never runs greater than 12.5 Fps…which is OK for viewing? Why? I even accessed SD card thinking it was my network…nope! The same on recordings…on app saved footage and Contacam saved footage.
Should give an option in video menu on app to change format of video recording from H265 to H264.
The camera sometimes triggers in app on big fat neighbours black cat…it thinks it is a human…haha!
The Camhipro app always ‘stutters’ on video replay…that needs looking at by iegeek…I shouldn’t have to go through complex steps to prove footage is ok on phone on phone memory…
So, my opinion? Yep, absolutely best wifi cameras I have installed. Great to look at wildlife in more detail than old 1080P cameras…me and partner laugh at some of what these cameras capture when we review in morning…
I’ve attached a couple of videos (I used Contacam to record) and pics of installation …enjoy, I’m no David Bailey, but at least you can see the box I put all ‘redundant’ cables in one pic of camera on front garden. I turned off ‘OSD’ settings for time and date in web interface, because I prefer the Contacam time and date settings on motion detection recordings on videos…

Where do I begin! What a brilliant piece kit with no silly subscription fee. Absolutely pleasant to set up. Extremely easily to work with. Audio recording is so good when I was setting it up before attaching to house I had it tje kitchen and could hear clearly what was being said in the living room. Video quality is brilliant I even tested night vision again absolutely clear with an amazing audio pick up.. Will be purchasing more very soon.

Video quality is brilliant I even tested night vision again absolutely clear with an amazing audio pick up.. Will be purchasing more very soon.
I have 4 of these cameras. For the money the quality is good. I don’t have other cameras to compare to so can only see the night vision is good as is the day time. The brackets can be adjusted in any position you can think of, although some of mine do have a little movement which no matter how much I tighten won’t go away, but it does not impact the picture, no shaking issues.
The software is not easy to use, especially the desktop. On the good side, the support has been excellent, I’ve had quite the back and forwards with them trying to understand how to get certain features working on the software. Iphone appears to zoom in more than Android which is a little odd. Once you get to understand the software it’s all good.
I did have one camera bracket that snapped while adjusting it, support was excellent, no quibble, they immediately replaced it. If they could refine their software and make it more user friendly rather than having to communicate extensively with support then I could have rated it higher.

I bought this as a replacement for the earlier model and this is an impressive improvement!
The camera has a much wider lens and easily takes in all the driveway at the side of my house, probably about a third more than the previous model. The connection was easy using the supplied network cable and long power cable and once the wireless function was enabled the connection has remained rock steady and it was so easy to set up the recording schedule and alarm function. Another big improvement is small access panel to install the SD card (not supplied with the camera), only two screws to remove and refit, not as fiddly as the older camera.
Once installed on the outside wall the improvement in picture quality is immediately noticeable and then there is the addition of sound which can be experienced using the windows interface or the CamHipro app on my mobile phone. My camera is about 10 metres from the road that passes by the house and sits at a height of about 4 metres, but it picks up the sound of passing cars very clearly and I could even hear the binmen speak when they stopped right at my gate. Another noticeable improvement is the quality of night vision — very impressive.
Images and recordings can be viewed I have included some images and video to illustrate the quality that is output from this camera and I cannot recommend it highly enough — a bargain at this price!
This camera, the IG90, is the upgraded version of the 2MP (1080p) camera, model IG82. I have 4 IG82s which I bought because they are high quality and fairly priced for the specifications and was hoping that the upgraded IG90 would offer the same, so was keen to check out the differences. The reviews on Amazon for the IG82 are very good, so they are worth reading for the baseline. After using the IG90 for a month now, I am really pleased with it, it’s a really good upgrade and have bought an additional unit. The attached video shows a few sequences so you can check it out for yourself.
New Features
The capabilities of this upgraded version are impressive – it’s 5MP resolution, so you get an image that is more detailed, more saturated (better colours) and larger. If you google 1080p vs 5mp security camera you will see reviews that explain the differences in more detail. In the case of the IG90, the upgrade is exactly what you would hope to see – it’s a high quality image. The image area is also larger so if you have the camera positioned so it’s pointing directly down you will capture a noticeably large field of vision than with a 2MP camera.
The IG90 also has humanoid — ie human shape — detection which is really good and allows alerts to be sent whenever it detects a human in areas of the image that you can customise. So you can ignore a busy pavement outside your house, but if someone steps off it to head towards your place you receive an alert.
Other features
Whilst the camera is versatile and can be customised in all kinds of way it can also be used straight out of the box, after changing the default password obviously. The default setting options are fine and include H265 video compression which makes saving the data to SD card or HDD size-efficient. 1h of high resolution H265 footage takes roughly 2GB of memory card or disk space at 15 FPS (the default option) — there are plenty of online calculators that can help you run the numbers – so a 128GB card, which the cameras take and costs around 20, will store 128 hours or so of video. If you set the camera to record only when it’s triggered it will give you weeks of footage. I record to my PC via a WiFi connection and to the camera as a back up, just in case WiFi fails.
The infra red imaging is good for night shots — see the attached video sequence.
The camera works seamlessly with the 3rd party software I use. To be clear, you don’t need additional software to use it — you can use your mobile via the CamHiPro app, which is easy to use, connect to it directly on your PC via the camera’s inbuilt user interface or use 3rd party software. I do all 3. In fact, the easiest way to get started and connect to the network is via the CamHiPro app which is simple to use — just be prepared for some curious translations from Chinese eg “determine” means “ok”!
Network connection
The housing for the IG90 is identical to the IG82 so swapping in the new unit is a breeze if you are upgrading. The easy way to set up the camera before wall mounting is to connect it to your router/network with the supplied CAT5 cable, download the CamHiPro app to your mobile and press the “+” button to detect and add the new camera. At this point, it’s best to do 2 things (1) select and connect to the wifi network you are planning to use when you set it up outside — if you do it now, the camera will auto-reconnect to it when you set it up outside (test the connection by disconnecting the CAT5 cable) (2) if you are so inclined, get the camera’s ip address from the app, connect to it via your pc and change the settings to what works for you.
Troubleshooting Wifi connections
The signal gain on the cameras’ antennae is really good — I have been running them for weeks without dropping the connection for more than a few seconds from time to time — but getting a clean, strong WiFi connection is critical and what seems strong inside will be weaker outside. For troubleshooting, the easiest thing is to buy a long cat5 cable — you can get 50m brand new on a well known auction site delivered for under a tenner — which will allow you to connect direct to the camera and check out the wifi connection around the unit without resetting it or indeed taking it off the wall. Be ready for the wifi signal to be strong at some times of day and weaker at others. I already had an inexpensive wifi network extender which I repositioned and have had no problems.
Support
As far as support is concerned, there have been no problems with this unit — previously, I had a problem with one of the previous cameras, the support team were very helpful and when we realised it wasn’t functioning properly they replaced it. No hassle.
I’ve had a few CCTV cameras before, including some of the previous ieGeek models, but this one is much superior than the rest.
Firstly, the SD card (not supplied) installation is far easier than other models as there’s a (screwed down) panel on the underneath of the unit which provided access to the SD slot…. In some other cameras that I have had, you had to actually remove the camera casing to access to slot which if installed on your building would be very arduous… so this is a lot easier.. Point of note is that the SD card isn’t actually required as you can use the inbuilt software to watch the live feed as it happens, however, the SD will allow you to record and review at your leisure… or if your wifi goes down.
The camera can be hardwired to your network using the supplied cable (and extentions if needed) but with WiFi, then its much cleaner install…. Setting up the WiFi on the camera does actually require the camera to be hard-connected to the network and you use the inbuild software on the camera to configure the WiFi settings… very simple … first, search for available WiFi, select the correct one, entry the password, do a quick connectivity test and then save … and you’re now WifI connected and can remove the cable.
And thats all you need to do to get the camera ready ….
When it comes to physically installing, screws and plugs are supplied, as is a nice little template to allow you to drill holes in the right place… no holding in position, trying to mark the holes with a pencil…
Now, with it being a 5MP camera, the image quality is much better than most and the lens has a wider angle than most, giving a much better view of the area being monitored. You can clearly see vehicle registration numbers should tracing be required with a nice crisp image. In the video, this is me coming home in the red car.
Bottom line, much better than any other camera that I have had providing better security all round.
I travel a lot and got the ieGeek camera for peace of mind. I downloaded the CamHi app for android which allows me to do everything i need to – set motion detect, view remotely, review recordings, listen, and speak.
The motion detection and alarm features function well. You can even set an audible alarm from the camera when it detects movement.. siren, dog barking, or a custom recording.
A well built, easy to install, easy to set up, easy to use, and excellent value for money, IP security Camera. Recommended.
Edit to add: So impressed, I’ve ordered a second one. Also, which is reassuring, customer services respond quickly to emails, and are only too happy to help!
Once I got everything setup right this camera exceeded my expectation. The motion detection is a bit fiddly to get just right, takes a little patience and trial and error but once sorted it’s great. The clarity of the images is great and night vision is just brilliant. I am so pleases with this product I have just bought another one for the front of my garage.
Bought this to replace the 720p version, i wanted sound for my hedgehog videos. This camera is improved in almost every way. You get good two way audio, a wider field of vision, a better build quality and much more functionality in the app (humanoid detection, sirens etc). I also love the SD card cover, no more taking the camera apart to fit. I do have a gripe though, there has been some cost cutting. The biggest issue is the length of the camera cable – it is half the length of the cheaper camera; it is so short I am not sure it will reach through my eaves into the loft any more. (See pic) You are going to need a junction box to fit this now (see below) The second gripe is the power supply, the cable is nowhere near the quality of the old camera. So to summarise this is still a five star camera, especially for the price but the penny pinching is really disappointing. Written by tech council engineer and top reviewer for the ie geek 720p camera.
Top tip: the box i used is this one IP66 Black Weatherproof Outdoor / External Junction Box Complete With Connector https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00DHHMJOI/ref=cm_sw_r_em_apa_i_OszoFbH0E96EM
Pass the cables in one if the bottom holes, you will need to open the hole out with s Stanley knife to get the massive network connection in so you won’t be able to fit a gland. Just leave it open, water will drain. I have used the boxes like this for years without a problem.

I have used this camera for over six months now and I can say that it is a good product and reasonably priced. The installation was quick and I have had no reliability issues that some other people seem to have had. I must point out that my camera is sheltered from the weather under a porch so I don’t know how it would perform if it was exposed. But if you want something more rugged you should be prepared to pay more.
I also liked that there is no cloud service payment like with some other cameras and the alert software works well.
This is the second one of these cameras that I have purchased. The image quality is great, even with night vision.
Set-up is really simple if you follow the instructions….I have read some negative reviews Where people have obviously not read the instructions properly!
The camera now has “Humanoid” motion detection which is a massive improvement on the earlier version I bought which does not have this feature. The camera sends me an alert direct to my phone every time a person is in the specified area of the camera view. The alerts are real-time which allows you to communicate directly with people through the microphone and speaker which are built in.
I have just returned from a two week break in Europe and I could check my home whenever I felt like, as long as I had 4g signal or was on WiFi.
I have 128gb SD cards in both cameras and they record about 4 weeks worth of continuous footage but you can watch live footage through the app at any time, from anywhere. There is no need for subscriptions or cloud services.
One of my cameras is about 15 metres away from my WiFi router and has never had problems connecting. However, I suppose that this depends on the quality of the WiFi router.
All-in-all, this camera is amazing for the price! It is like an alarm system for my home and it genuinely gives me peace of mind.
Easily deserves 5 star rating.

I bought 4 of these cameras, have had them for a couple of months now and am very pleased with them.
There are plenty of articles extolling the virtues of the camera. I agree with those – I just wanted to mention my experience with customer support.
One of the cameras was not giving the results I was expecting so I emailed customer support. I got a response overnight, tried it, didn’t solve the problem. We tried a few different things, always the response was very fast and helpful. Eventually it became clear that the unit needed to be replaced and customer support arranged for a replacement to be sent out. It came in a couple of days, I installed it and it is working well, like the others. I am very happy with the support I got, the 4 cameras are working fine and I would buy again. Thank you, Mae!
Dropped a star on motion detection as, although it works in itself, it does not activate the Smart event process on a Hikvision NVR – however, this may be me not setting the parameters correctly. Having said that, this is the second unit I have deployed and I am very pleased with its capability. The two way audio is pretty good, and the siren feature is excellent especially if you spot someone loitering with intent. As a P2P standalone unit this is well worth the money.
The Camera is excellent, good quality picture reasonably easy to install. One major issue is that fixed to a wall the camera can’t rotate 90 degrees left due to the antenna design.(Camera View). This was easily overcome by purchasing a “90 degree Gold Plated adapter converter RP-SMA connector Male to RP-SMA Female RF Coaxial Coax Adapter”. These adaptors are very cheap, be careful of the quality and specification. I had two that just fell apart and had to return. Once fitted the installation went perfect. The third party software for the PC/ IOS is a bit confusing. Perseverance will resolve this. So camera great, requires a bit of patience if you are installing at 90 degrees to lef

I purchased this camera as replacement of another brand as I wanted the capability to use a computer software for the monitoring…
The camera and picture, so far is great, with the limitation of it… No focus.. no rotation…etc. but OK, I was expecting this. My issue is with the worst software package that you can use to configure and monitor your recording and setup..etc. The software is “P2P IP Camera”…
This is the sort of software that used to be developed in the 90s where you have tons of bugs… crashing… continuous issues… from crashes, not saving your configurations and having to redo things every time you load it… to unable to use simple functionalities.. like adding users… adding cameras… etc.
In summary, the camera is good… PC software is awful, useless…

Perfect camera for outdoor security. Quick and easy install. But motion detection too much triggers on small objects. On scale can’t catch perfect settings to avoid flies to trigger motion at night. But in total good camera
Great quality camera, already bought a previous version and this has better night vision. Although currently have them set up indoors so difficult through the windows. Great that you don’t have to subscribe and can do live viewing. Set up was easy, although as already had a previous camera that probably helped. Found I needed to connect directly via lan then could disconnect cable and wifi worked fine. Edit : I’ve also now found human recognition settings which have cut out the wind blown plants setting off the alarm.

This product has given me complete peace of mind easy to set up, great picture quality can access from anywhere as long as home internet is strong, both my cameras are a considerable way from wifi so it occasionally drops out but that is a fault of the wifi not the camera. Brilliant honest Amazon product will probably purchase more and will highly recommend to family and friends.
This camera is great for the price. It’s been set up but not fixed in as the cable is only around 3 metres so I have ordered an extension.
It was easy to set up and has all the features you need. Compared it with a neighbours 2 camera system he paid over 200 for and its picture quality is identical so bargain for 60 with SD card.
If you set it to HD mode it will pick up number plates up to around 5 metres but anything further is a blur.
Overall well worth it and I will be buying another for the back of the house.
My second IeGeek camera. The first received a 3 star based on problems with setup but I was ready for this one.
Pros:
– Live feed is fantastic quality.
– Easy to setup (Make sure your phone clock is set to 24hr or it wont show recordings, I’m using an IPhone 6).
– Feels like good sturdy build quality.
– The ball and joint axis behind the camera worked well for those little adjustments.
– You get far more options going through Internet Explorer, recommended for in-depth changes.
– The app CamHiPro is OK for day to day reviewing.
– Great Night Vision and the IR lights are just enough to be noticed to act as a deterrent.
Cons:
– Just to let anyone who is purchasing one of these know there are two types out there packaged in exactly the same box, an old version and the new version. My two cameras were bought one week apart and I noticed I was getting extra options for the second camera (Humanoid Detection). Also they had two different Firmware versions. I contacted IeGeek to see how I go about confirming and updating to the newest Firmware as I thought this would unlock the Humanoid Detection. The reply I got back was that it was a more advanced chip and the old stock may be mixed with the new. A little disappointed as I’m sure the new chip helps out in other departments but hey I suppose I’ve gained here as it wasn’t advertised.
If you do order one I’d maybe try and ask for the revised version.
All in all I’m very happy with the two cameras and gained by getting a more advanced second. IeGeek were very helpful on the E-Mails (though even after two still haven’t confirmed or explained a firmware upgrade, completely dodged the question). Ended up working it out myself.
I recommend buying one of these as what you get for the price is fantastic, I couldn’t help but buy two.
Hoping that at some point we’ll be able to get away on holiday, we wanted a camera that would be inexpensive, simple to set up, and easy to access on our phones. This ticks all those boxes. We opted for the camera with audio and it was still way below what we thought we might have to pay for this spec of camera. The online tutorials posted by a customer was invaluable in helping with the set up as the instructions in the accompanying booklet were not too clear for me to understand. It’s only been installed for twenty four hours but we are so impressed I felt compelled to review it. There will be some tweaking to be done regarding sensitivity and resolution but 10 out of 10 so far – and we intend to buy another for an elderly relatives house, which is about as good a recommendation as you can give really.
I love these cameras. I took a chance and ordered two and I’m going to be ordering more. I’m impressed with the video quality and how easy they are to set up. I’m not using the wi fi option but have set them up to be used with Apple Home via home bridge (hoops) and they are quick and easy to configure. They are also as secure as I can make them using ethernet, changing username and password and not enabling any cloud/internet services. Great cameras. Definitely buying a few more, and might even get them for my brother!
Purchased an IP 2.0Mega Pixel camera, Good quality camera, Very poor English in the very basic instruction manual, A network connector does not fit through the waterproof gland that comes with the camera , Software is also not encrypted which means ones password could be intercepted over the internet , Better comprehensive manual in proper English required, Proper encrypted software , a gland that a network connector fits through and a good product would be a great product.
Great quality, well made camera. I didn’t go for the cheapest and certainly not the most expensive. This felt like a quality camera as soon as I picked it up due to the materials used. Great picture quality and easy to set up. Just make sure you intially set it up by connecting the cable to the camera and your router. Once it has set up, you can remove the cable and use it on WiFi with ease and great connection. I have this on a house we’re renovating and it’s great to use the app from any location. You can record video or images straight to your phone and set up alarm activation areas with ease to reduce false alerts to your phone. Will definitely buy more when the need arises.
The camera came well packaged in a small box with no excessive over the top packaging. It comes with an easy-to-follow installation and instruction guide. After downloading the app and plugging in the camera, it was a matter of following the step by step instructions to link the camera to wifi and and phone and begin recording. For the price, the camera provides excellent image quality both night and day, without the need for additional lighting at night. The motion detection is easy to set up, however the sensitivity sends alerts quite frequently. The camera has two way audio, so you can speak to whoever is within the vicinity of the camera and also listen to the audio recording. Video playback is via the app and images and video is saved on a loop to the camera memory card so never becomes full. Videos and pictures can be saved at will.
It would be useful if the picture could be manually focused on the outdoor camera.
Would highly recommend buying.
Easy to set up- if you have any special characters in your WiFi username or password you will need to connect it to your router via the supplied network cable, then follow the instructions to enable WiFi from there. App is good and after a couple of days of recording to a 128gb SD card, looks like it will hold a couple of weeks worth of footage. Change the password from the default! Good quality camera with a good mounting system with a decent length power cable. It’s exposed to the elements, will update review of there are any issues with water ingress. Haven’t used motion detection settings and don’t intend to, so can’t comment on these.
Purchased 3 of these to upgrade my nearly 5 year old sannce cameras and was very impressed with the quality.
I have 2 set up on the front and 1 going in the garden soon, we are so happy with the quality we have decided to get another for the front and possibly another for the back garden.
Installation did not take long as the power feed was already there from my old cameras and linking the camera to WiFi was easy, just plug the camera in with Ethernet wire to the router first to setup WiFi then mount it and plug power in.
The router is located in the kitchen at the back of the house so the cameras WiFi has a few walls to go through making the signal quite weak, we solved this by putting a WiFi booster in the porch, this gave both cameras on the front 100% signal strength and the video stream on my phone is excellent now, no freezing and playing the recorded video is very quick.
I purchased one of these cameras and had it working fine in no time. I then purchased another, about 3 weeks later. The second camera was also setup with no problems. I did notice on the new camera that it had a “Human body” detection option on the alarm setting. I emailed eGeek and asked if my original camera could be updated because this option greatly reduces the alarms created by spurious things such as leaves and moving trees etc. They were very helpful, but it appears that more work is needed for them to be able to produce new firmware for the older hardware. I was informed that they are working on this and they will let me know when the update is available.
I must say that the support provided from this company is excellent. No need to be worried that they are in China. Emails are answered by return.
The cameras themselves have great quality and are very easy to set up.
Really good quality CCTV system and for a bargain price.
High quality recording both day and night and suprisingly sensitive motion detection that activates “Alarm Recording” and stored it on the SD card in 15 second clips.
Very handy having the app to look at past or real time recordings. You can also use the microphone and speaker feature via the app to talk/listen to whoever is at the door.
Easy to set up.
Very happy with this item.
Excellent camera for the price.
Easily installed and setup on multiple phones/tablets and desktops.
Works remotely via the internet without any need for a subscription(My main draw, service fees suck!!)
The english translation isn’t 100%, more like 99%……. Determine = Close or OK. Nothing to really worry about though.
Everything seems to work as it should do but i do have a couple of gripes.
1. Rain seems to set the alerts off unless i turn alerts off.
2. Playback isn’t the greatest when streaming over the internet, very choppy and i do have excellent internet connections on both sides. Works great while on the same wireless network as the camera. A minor issue for me.
3. Would like to have taken the unused wire off but unable to as they are moulded together. Means you end up with three ends as such, reset, network and power. Suggest a box of some sort to cover/hide them.
Other than the above i would highly recommend this camera for a lower quality need. Its not the highest resolution but it does what i need it for.
I bought this camera after reviewing a number on Amazon. The reviews for this camera are very acute in that it is a good camera and night vision is fantastic. The only draw back is the installation instructions. They are unclear and would benefit from a review by an English technical reviewer. In particular the options for configuring – it seemed to me I had to install it on a wired network first then change to wireless. I initially installed the non pro version of the software based on the application reviews but found the pro version better.
I found this very easy to set up. For me this was basically plug and play, enabling me to see my property on my phone when away from home. I’m fortunate in that I can position the camera so that I can see both entrances to my house, otherwise I would definitely buy a second camera. Compared to the wildlife camera I have in my garden (which is also supposed to be HD) the image quality from this camera, both day and night, is excellent. I have yet to have time to fine tune the motion sensing, as I was getting alerts triggered by a gently swaying branch from a tree near my house, but it is possible to choose the right or left half of the scene instead of the whole scene for this setting, combined with a sensitivity setting. Another useful feature is the ability to talk and listen through the camera, although you can only turn on the mic OR the speaker, not both simultaneously, so conversations are a little stuttered.
Overall though, I am very happy with this camera.

The product itself seems to be very sturdy with a good weight. Doesn’t appear to be made from cheap plastic. Easy to setup. Motion detection is good. Would be good if it could link in with Alexa but doesn’t seem to do this.
This is a great camera. The picture quality both daytime and nightime is excellent.
Fitting is a bit tricky as you either have all the cables (which appear weather proof) on the outside and only drill a small hole through (approx. 1.5cm) or it is more like a 3.5cm hole to get all the cables through the wall. If on the outside you would probably want to box them in as these include the reset and network and power cables! If the cables weren’t all the same length you could have probaby gotten away with a smaller hole (manufacturer take note).
Apps works well on both Android and Apple phones. Easy to install, set up and use.
Wifi worked well.
The recording is only approx 24hours to the SD card if recording permanently so use the motion detection to increase the time saved. There is slight ability to chose set motion area but it is quite limited and there are a lot of things which set it off at night including rain. I would like to have the option of more than 15 second default recording but it does enough and also takes up to 3 pictures.
The sensitivity setting is tricky to get right as it’s quite all or nothing so we have it set quite low. We also turn off notifications at nightime as this is constantly going off (but you could adjust for daylight and darkness if you had the time and energy to change it manually every day).
You can talk and hear through this system and works well on the wifi if in the office and not at home.
I did not like the location of the wifi antenna which means I could not seem to adjust the unit to point LEFT. The unit is very positionable and rotational but the antenna on the side (instead of perhaps the top) means I could not turn it the other way (without the small hole being on top and potential water leak path); so I had to face it to the right. This should be considered when positioning your camera. I have one outside at the front and one in the conservatory.
Great camera, hope it lasts and this review helps your decision making.
This is a very solid camera and it very well built. The picture quality is excellent. I still need to play around with some of the techy elements but first impressions are very positive.
One little hint when setting up. Connect the camera directly to your broadband hub via the Etha cable to start the set up. Once it has paired you can then switch to WiFi. I tried linking via WiFi which didn’t work. The other way worked in minutes.
My second comment would be that the camera would be better if you could rewind live viewing of the footage. You can do this on the recorded videos, but you have to wait for the video time period to have elapsed.
But overall this is a great camera, and I would highly recommend.
Fitted a pair of these for my Sister in law over the weekend. Could not have been easier. The CamHi app needs a bit of an update in terms of modernisation and ease of use but it works perfectly.
I have the older version of this camera myself which is still 1080p and has proven invaluable for proving couriers either not delivering and on one occasion my neighbours car being rifled through.
I have got mine mounted in a soffet which is pretty high but you can see a hell of a lot of detail still. This version however is slightly improved.
Pros
– Good quality picture for the price
– All axis of the camera are adjustable – allowed me to frame the shot so no surrounding houses were not being viewed by the camera
– can view images, live stream and recorded videos via pc or phone
– very easy to install
– excellent customer service – the plug was damaged and a replacement was arranged
– picture is of high quality, able to read number plates of vehicles at slow moving speeds (e.g. turning around) at a distance up to 10 m)
Cons
– had a go at wifi , but it wouldn’t connect. Which didn’t bother me as I was always going to hardwire it with a lan cable
– took a while to fine tune the motion detector as every time the wind blew a bush or plant it triggered the motion detector
– still having problems using the ftp feature of the camera – not sure if it is the camera’s software or my server
– pc software takes a while to get used to using, once you get the hang of it, it is fine
I will be buying more of these in the future.
I ordered a Wi-Fi camera and I expected to find that it only required the power connection. As it is shown in the description. However that is not correct there are 3 connectors coming from the rear of the mounting bracket which will require at least a 2 cm hole in the wall to install. This is not shown in the description. However after discussion with the company they have provided a work around for this issue using an external Junction Box. Additionally having made a temporary installation to set up and test the camera I have found it to be very effective and relatively easy to set up. The camera can be run either on Wi-Fi or direct on an Ethernet connection to your Hub / Router. The night vision quality look fine to me and the sound functions work ok. Additionally it works ok on android and seems to be ok Google chrome. It looks like it will require some time and effort to properly set up the camera functionally to make best use of its many features but I think it will be worth the time and effort in the end.
I have upgraded my review to 4 stars because of the excellent response I have received from IeGeek in resolving my initial problems. Well done to them.
On first impressions the iegeek IP camera is a nice bit of kit. Solid build easy set up and install. However fine tuning the set up doesn’t work it will not accept email addresses or any form of communication to alert the user to its activation. It records for 600 seconds constantly, the activation zone doesn’t seem to make any difference.
Communication via email with the seller has not had any response, Then for no reason it stopped working and couldn’t be rebooted or formatted to connect to the internet. No pictures nothing on the app.
Frustrating as the picture quality especially on night vision was fantastic. Crisp clear registration numbers visible, No good if it doesn’t tell you it activated and recording over it’s data within 24 hours on a 64gb SD card.
Sorry.

This was an upgrade to my 10 year old 720p camera.
Whenever I had a gripe with putting it up i.e. difficult base, lack of water proof coverings for the cable ends, I had to keep reminding myself it only cost me 52! That is cheap!
So even though it took a lot longer to install than I thought it would, the day picture quality is fantastic.
The night vision is good, only if its NOT raining. Rain generates a lot of noise, streaks in all directions.
A 128gb SD card, which is the max it can take, on my settings records for just over 8 days. At some point I may try to see if a 256gb card works in it.
Bottom line its a cheap camera that works. The mobile app is fantastic, the pc software not so good, but you can access the camera from a browser.

Extremely easy to install and set up the camera . Picture quality is excellent for both night and day . I have used cameras in the past that cost 5 times as much but nowhere near the pic quality as this . The only draw back that i found was the size of the connectors , if you want to have all the wires coming inside you have to drill a 25mm hole to get the modem connector through but not a real problem if you have or know someone with the right tools . All in all a great little cam .

I purchased this camera as my first dip into using a CCTV system. The camera is easy to set up and has excellent picture quality day and night. I am using it on an ethernet connection it an outbuilding (and so cannot comment on its wifi quality). Movement notifications come through to the app on my iPhone and three still pictures are automatically sent to my email address (sent from myself to myself using Hotmail). The video is also recorded on a micro SD card internally on the camera, which can be viewed remotely on the my phone along with a real time live view. I have also set up the camera to sound an alarm when it is triggered as this is protecting an out building and this acts as a deterrent. As with all cameras of this type the power cable is always the limiting factor on placement, as a ‘wall wart’ type power plug is supplied. I purchased a low voltage extension lead to allow for placement a greater distance from the power point. All together this is an excellent camera for the price and I intend purchasing another for a different location.
Nothing to dislike .We are extremely happy with the camera .We had vandalism to our car in July but with no evidence as to who done it we decided to install a cctv camera. Our car was vandalised again last week and were confident we would have the footage of it. And thats exactly what we found. It was at 12.30 at night and the infra red feature of the camera gave a clear picture of the culprit . The police commented that it was very good quality imagery for night images. The sound feature is very clear as you can hear the key scrapping along the car ! We recognised who it was too. He’ll be charged with the crime.. So much so we have ordered the same camera again for the other side of the house. Very easy to set up and alerts come in to my phone and I’ve installed the app on my PC too. No hesitation in recommending this camera. UPDATE I am now adding to my review to say I have now bought a 3rd camera !!! for the back of the house. I checked before installing the 2nd camera that the WIFI would work at the back of the house as the router is at the front of the house.. It does with no problem at all . So easy to add a camera to the app. I have the app on my PC too and it found the new camera automatically !! Highly recommend the camera .
Arrived in time, sturdy well made camara. Easy setup to get connected to wifi and picture on phone / tablet. Will need to figure out STMP & FTP details in order to set up email motion alerts. But shouldn’t be a problem to set up once i have the detail. Picture quality is great. Viewing angle is good and when positioned correctly captures all the field of view required. Motion detection is not great, even on low sensitivity it activates every 20 seconds on a windy day. But that can be swithched off from the app if need be. Microphone is clear when voices are heard through the phone. But cant hear anything from the camera, maybe becaue of the height distance where the camera is positioned, eitherway not much use for tw way talking, if that function exists. Picture quailty can be changed from SD to HD, the difference is clear & HD quality is great. Night vision is clear & quality is good. Overall a great little camera for the price, i will definitely buy another one.
I wanted a camera after a spate of car break ins and to see who is at the door when I am working in the loft. For the price this one seemed to cover all my needs including having a microphone and talkback.
Arrived in a very neat box complete with everything you need to install. Very solid looking camera with a sturdy fixing plate that enables you to angle the camera very easily.
I had an email from the seller very soon after purchasing with links to the PDF manual which is easy to follow despite being in slightly loose English! When you change a setting you get “Cancel” or “Application” which I guess means Apply!
As many have mentioned the main problem with installation is the large cable ends which need a 23mm hole at least to get them through. Luckily mine was fitted to a fibre glass car port so was pretty simple to sort out but attaching to a solid brick wall would need a very large drill bit. Although you could ignore the Ethernet socket (which is the big one) and just put the power cable through the wall and use wi fi. Using Ethernet it was very simple to connect to the camera on my phone and start to set it up including connecting to the WiFi which was equally easy. There is a Mac and PC programme you can use or you just log in to the ip in a web browser. This all works flawlessly. The settings on the camera are pretty comprehensive but this is where the instructions start to get a bit vague. But you can pretty easily set up push notifications to your phone and set the sensitivity of the alerts. Picture quality is excellent both day and night vision. There is a red glow from the IR at night which is quite visible if you are trying to hide the camera though. Haven’t used the SD card recording yet but all looks pretty straightforward.
All in all I am very pleased with this purchase. Great value for money.
Pro’s:
On the whole the camera is good for the money, works well with WiFi & 3/4G.
Straight forward to set up.
Night vision is bright
Cons:
You need to drill an excessively large hole to route the cables through to inside or fit a weather proof box adjacent.
The picture isn’t HD or crisp it’s pretty blurry and when you zoom in there’s no refocusing and it distorts even more.
The motion detection has a sensitivity setting from 1-100, both my cameras are set to 12, but even this low it activates with rain / bugs, and at 11 it doesn’t activate with much.
Update:
I still stand by my above comments, but the seller has been in touch and tried to help with settings etc, but it is what it is and there’s no change.
They have however offered a full refund and the level of aftercare / service is very good. So I’ve upped my review score to 5 stars for their level of service

This camera was ordered to replace an earlier one which keep disconnecting from the wifi. It is used to monitor a Koi pond to ensure all is well when we are away from home task it carries out perfectly . Exceptional value for money IMHO. Set up was very straightforward, if a 72 year old Luddite can do it anyone can! I have 2 other iegeek security cameras from the same supplier and very happy with them as well
I have tried several indoor and outdoor cameras and I have to say this is the best one by far! Firstly, there are no ridiculous monthly charges to store your videos. You can store them in a micro SD card (which you have to buy separately). It took me less than 5 minutes to set up the camera. After that, it is just a matter of setting it up to do what you want, and you can do just about anything! You can set up the areas you want to detect movement on, you can detect sound to give you an alarm. You can set up to sound a siren (or any other sound you want) upon triggering an alarm. It can send you an alert to your phone and/or an email. It will save the videos/photos unto your SD card.Basically, it can just about do whatever you want it to. The picture and sound quality are superb! It feels sturdy and well made. Even my electrician was impressed. I honestly would pay hundreds for this camera and you don’t have to. For under 60 , you have a great outdoor camera with all the settings you could wish for and no horrid monthly charges. I cannot recommend this enough.
After a spate of car vandalism on my street I decided to try a security camera on my front garden. I chose this one for a few reasons: 1. It can use wired ethernet or wifi. 2. The supplied power adapter and lead is long enough for me. 3. The power plug will fit through a normal coax sized hole in the wall. 4. The images and video look high quality.
I set the camera up in my living room first to test the functions. At first I couldn’t get the software on my phone to connect to the camera using a wifi connection. So I used the supplied ethernet cable to plug directly into my router and it connected fine. After I set up all the configurations such as wifi settings, date and time etc. I then unplugged the ethernet and it then started using the wifi automatically.
I then moved the camera outside and after it started up it connected to my phone OK. I was also pleasantly surprised to find that I can access the camera even when I am not at home – I thought I’d have to be on wifi to do this, but it works on 4G wherever you are. The 2 way audio might come in handy too.
I used a 128GB micro SD card to give plenty of recording space, and I also set snapshots to go to an FTP server. I highly recommend this camera – unlike the grainy footage you see on TV programmes, this camera would be genuinely useful in identifying people.

This is my 3rd.iegeek up camera, the first one of a different waterproofing spec suffered from condensation misting the lens.
The last two purchases hopefully will not develop the problem!
Otherwise the cameras perform well with the occasional loss of signal, but I think this may be a router problem as the last broadband providers worked perfectly.
The mounting has a multi directional adjustment, though I would have liked more adjustment in the horizontal plain.
All this aside the cameras are good value for the money.
Great product. Very excited to get it set up. Everything I need comes in the box. The fitter said it will be quick to set up and we will get a clear image due to the quality. Nice looking camera too so it won’t be an eye sore outside my house. Hopefully it will deter anyone from doing anything bad outside my property too. Well packaged too. Thanks
