I love my instant pot, it is so easy to use, clean and helps reduce the time in cooking.
I haven’t used all the functions but believe me it’s a great addition to your kitchen.
Used pretty much everyday, and helps keep the cost of the using electric down.

I never thought i could cook rice in a pressure cooker, this gadget proves me that i can. I set rice cooker setting for 10 minutes, my rice is cooked nicely to my liking. Release the steam immediately after it stops cooking, then when steam is gone, lift up the lid and fluff the rice. Best thing, i can use this gadget for pressure cooking and stew. Cant live without it.

Got this for 56 which was great value. My wife loves it. Has some great cooking modes, and cooks so quickly, with much of the cooking done when it’s depressurising, so it uses so much less energy than the hob or oven. Unlike the old pressure cookers (when I was growing up), it doesn’t look like it’s going to suddenly explode, and seems much safer to use. I’m very happy with it, especially as we got it at such a great price. The beef we cooked in it came out perfectly. As soft as you could want. Love i

Borderline perfect, the only function missing which would make it the perfect unattended cooking tool, and that is if the warm time was selectable. e.g. I might want to pressure cook for 4 minutes but warm time is needed of 10 minutes, longer might might make the food overcooked. Only one minor point, it is was already non stick instead of having to spend an extra 20 for the non stick pot would have been a nice touch and stopped burning in saute mode, but great value for money at 67, far more reasonable than the Ninja, which are well made but way overpriced. JUST ONE MORE FUNCTION PLEASE! and it would have been 5 stars all the way though! Awesome device! Well done Instant Pot, very thrilled with this versatile kitchen aid!

I brought my first instant pot just over a year ago having found a new love for cooking. This was my first time ever using a pressure cooker so I was apprehensive about how food would come out but I had nothing to be worried about. The texture of meat cooked in this is incredible, super juicy and full of flavour. I have cooked lamb shanks in just under an hour and the meat was falling off the bone. I’ve made yoghurt, soups, stews, curries, chilli, ribs, meat joints to name a few and every time it has tasted amazing! It is used minimum 3-4 times per week in my house so worth every penny!!
Instructions are super clear, it fits nicely in my cupboard when not in use, easy to keep cleanI just can’t fault it!

I wouldn’t be without this. Cooks meat quickly until it falls off the bone. Cooks vegetables like turnips and potatoes really quickly. Only criticism is that it comes with just the trivet and no recipe book (you need to read up online about how to use the Instant Pot).

Easy to use andess scary than a conventional pressure cooker. Only had this a few weeks and I’ve already used it almost daily for cooking beans and rice, eggs and chicken for lunches, soups, stews and curries. Quicker and more efficient than firing up the oven or the gas hob.

I specially wanted to buy a stainless steel rice cooker in a small size and after hunting ages settled for a multicooker . The instant pot met all specifications however upon reading reviews on making rice i was apprehensive on using it to make rice. I did watch lots of YouTube videos and tried making rice in various different ways also with double the water as we general do for Indian basmati rice . And finally succeeded !

My final conclusion is not to use the ‘rice’ function as it gives a brownish tint and different taste to rice . It was edible but not how we like the Basmati rice to taste and look. Hence the 4 stars.

My method of making is now really simple
    1. 1 cup washed rice + 1 cup water + little salt + 1/4tsp oil all added to the pot
    2. Close lid (remember to turn the whistle backwards)
    3. then turn main switch on
    4. Pressure cooker option 3 mins (reduce to -3 if needed)
5.keep warm for 10 mins then turn mains off and can open.

The same time is needed for more or less rice.

Really happy with perfect Basmati rice tasting delicious and nice n fluffy texture . Couldn’t believe how quick n easy it was , just 3 mins. Also liking that the cover can stand vertically on the side of the pot as open .

Will be trying to cook meals in there soon .

I hesitated to purchase this item because it has a UK plug and I live in Portugal. However, it works just fine! The IP is great if you hate cooking, like me. I don’t have time or patience to stand in front of a stove watching things as they slowly cook. With the IP, I stick everything in the pot, hit a button & off I go do something else. You will find info on youtube and recipes online. Mine came with the unit & the pot – no accessories but Amazon has kits for sale. I use it daily, typically breakfast is porridge, lunch could be a curry (you can use the saute option to slightly fry onions & spices before adding the other ingredients & sealing it for pressure cooking) and dinner may be chicken with veggies – chucked all in the pot together. Easy-peasy, no regrets!

I picked up an Instant Pot Duo 7-in-1 in a recent sale for 57, which I thought was a bit of a bargain.

I had a very basic pressure cooker before but the Duo, in contrast, is massively impressive and, quite literally, a game changer.

It’s a godsend for one-pot batch cooking, by either pressure or slow cooking as well as having a range of other useful features, such as saut mode. There are a large number of features I haven’t even touched yet.

There are a fantastic range of recipes and instructions available online, so far I have cooked; soups, stews, curries, dahl, risotto, whole chicken etc etc. it’s so versatile and it’s transformed my culinary environment not to mention the food retains so much more of its nutrients due to the way you cook in it.

    A solid 4/5!

We use this daily for cooking soups, 10 minutes at pressure turns a few random veggies left at the end of the week into a delicious meal. It’s so easy to cook pulses from scratch, no soaking, just rinse and throw in with stock or water, an hour later chickpeas etc are ready to use. The lid goes in the top rack of your dishwasher , easy to clean. The saut feature adds flavour to so many dishes, no extra pan to wash!
Was a bit wary of releasing the pressure if a quick release is required but it’s very easy and safe to do this. Often we just leave the pot to slowly release and stay warm till we’re ready to eat, a great feature when busy +/- tired!
    Would definitely recommend.

First, this pot comes with a very basic manual. I still had no idea how to use this pot after reading it and had to watch some videos on how to use it. Luckily there are lots of videos with useful tips for beginners and the Instant Pot website has hundreds of step-by-step recipes for all tastes. The pot does save time on dishes normally requiring long time to cook but not on quick dishes. The good side is the pot cooks all on its own after I put all ingredients, I can do some other things in the meantime. I had to adjust my ways of cooking like putting herbs and species in the beginning not in the end like I usually do by conventional cooking (I did forget a couple of times!). The inside pot is really easy to clean, washes well from everything, but not the sealing ring from inside the lid which seems to smell even after being washed in the dishwasher. I struggle a bit with closing the lid as it has to be in the exact position to close. Overall good product, would recommend it for easy cooking and cooking of slow dishes.

Bought this bigger instant pot to replace my previous IP which was smaller.

    Pros:
    (1) Price was lower than what I paid for the smaller IP, bought years ago and which was damaged by couriers during a house move, must have been dropped
    (2) Stainless Steel inner pot
    (3) Good quality
    (4) Cooks rice without sticking to the pot unlike my previous smaller pot.

    Cons:
    (1) The countdown timer light is blinding! No joke, in a dark kitchen, it hurts my eyes, had to put a thick cloth over it, without covering the vents

Slight niggle : price has reduced further a few days since my purchase

Wow, I cannot believe that I waited so long to buy one, it’s the best ever. I’ve cooked brown and white rice to perfection, once it stuck to the bottom when I forgot to turn the keep warm function off. It’s made my life so much easier when cooking chilli con Carne, bolognese sauce, even curried deals, OMG this is where I have saved so much time, I can saute the onions etc, then add the uncooked soaked and washed deals, then pressure cook it for appropriate time, and boom, the curry daals taste so good! It’s quiet while pressure cooking so if I’d known that, I’d have bought one just for that reason. It has a food burning function, came on once for me when I didn’t have enough water in the sauce I was making, so I added, then turned on and voila, the foid didn’t actually burn. Get one, even a basic one will make life easier. I bought a separate air fryer so that I could have a meal cooked super quick, without having to hover over a hot stove thank you Instant pot, thank you so much

I bought this for my mother’s birthday and it is a handy pot. But I just want to warn people not to put it on the cooker even if it is warm because this could cause the bottom to melt and burn. My mum put it down on her cooker for just a moment to make space for it on the countertop which she normally did when setting it up, and somehow she accidentally knocked one of the knobs which heated up the hob, causing the pot to give off thick toxic smoke. It took a mere couple of seconds to burn the entire underneath of the pot. I saw the results the bottom had completely melted leaving exposed wires. Not the manufacturer’s fault, no, just an accident. But i had to make people aware that this is what could happen if put on a hot surface even for a short amount of time.

Golden Review Award: 6 From Our UsersHaving bought a 5ltr version as an early wedding present for my best friend (an avid cook) and her husband to be, I pondered about one for myself when they came to spend a week with me!
As a relatively recent widower we realised that the 5ltr version was too big for me but when I discovered a 3ltr version I ordered it.
I gave my “avid cook” friend a free hand with it and we decided to cook a beautiful piece of rolled Herdwick mutton! (If you’re not aware, the Herdwick is a breed of domestic sheep native to the Lake District in North West England.)
I’d bought a piece locally and after the usually prep we started it off in the Instant Pot! 40 minutes later it was cooked to perfection!
Since then I’ve done a wild venison ragu along with one or two tries at steaming vegetables.
    Everything has been a success!
I wish I’d bought one years ago!

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersThis is a great and really versatile pot for home cooking. I had previously owned an Oster version of this pot, but was looking for something a bit smaller after relocating. As a household with only two people, we found the full sized version to be a bit too large. It is a powerful little machine and great for all kinds of things from soups and stews to rice and beans. I find this pot to make the best brown rice (much better for brown rice than a regular rice cooker). Note that the small version does not have all the same buttons/function as the larger one.

I did notice some stains to the metal inside the lid after the first time using it, but they are minor and don’t seem to impact the functioning of the pot.

My only complaint (and the reason I removed one star) is that the package arrived without the supplementary spoons and recipe book. I tried contacting Amazon, who referred me to the Instant Pot company, but they never responded to my messages, which was quite annoying. Not the best customer service. I decided not to waste any more time on that. Hopefully I won’t have any serious concerns with the pot.

I like, I mean in generally this apparatus. There are some weird faults or settings tho.

Since I had accidentally switched the high pressure to low pressure it wasn’t enough for closing the pressure valve (in steaming mode) and caused the water just boil and eventually evaporate. Figured that out by myself after three “burning” situation . Contacted the seller, wasn’t ever replied :/

The programming is a bit of a hassle, you have only a very short time to make your choices, and then the cooker start to do its job. IMO there should be a manual start, at least an option for it. In rush things goes south really quickly. Right. Of course after some initial training one knows by default what to do, but at the beginning thats not the case. To remember what was the best settings etc…

Also I miss one crucial function in settings. I’d like to be able to set a timer for the post cooking period so I know when it is like I want it to be. It’s not ready untill it’s ready, right.

Haven’t used other programs than steaming and pressure cooking.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersUsed it a couple of times when it first arrived. Plugged it in today and no display. Doesn’t turn on or anything. The item was used and cared for as per instructions and doesn’t have any cause not to work as there were no incidences, drops, damage etc. Don’t seem to have sellers details here to contact either?

    Update:
Got in touch with Amazon support with the issue of the Instapot not turning on and an explain of a series of actions taken to resolve this myself, instructed me (and I quote):

“Take the cable out from the device and blow on it five times” … , before passing m the sellers details on to me. After I emailed them with the issue I was sent an initial email asking me further questions and providing a receipt which they received. After receiving it instead of responding went back to the first email sent and pretended to have a problem which obviously means they seen the reply and don’t want to or don’t care to find a solution. Conveniently this issue occurred just past the return time policy. However the customer service is diabolical. From the incredulous trouble shooting advice ( which may or may not been scripted) to the substandard way of dealing with the complaints. I would avoid. Find another company whose products actually work and who has better costumer service. It is not worth the price tag.

Retracting the above comments on the customer service: after an initial delay and resending the answers to the queries a second time I received an email asking me to confirm my delivery address.
Yesterday I received a replacement without quibbles. The pot passed its water test without problems (like the first one) I am hoping that this one will stand the test of time. Considering this was handled over the bank holiday with an overall completion of a week from time of raising the issue and without having to negotiate apart of answering a few reasonable questions I can’t fault the same way it was resolved.

To their credit I was never asked to amend this feedback but as the company tried to find ways to rectify issues and resolve them I felt it was only fair.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersMy son bought me the Instant Pot 6L for Mother’s Day. It arrived a few days early and has been in use every day since. I have made all our meals in it in one go, e.g. beef stew. On the bottom of the pot is the beef stew, on a rack in the steaming basket (I had these from my old manual pressure cooker) are the potatoes. Once it comes to the pressure (takes about 10 minutes), the meal is ready in 35 minutes – just press the Meat/Stew button. It will cook meat or chicken from frozen – just add an extra 5 minutes onto the cooking time. Handy for those days when you forgot to take the meat out of the freezer the night before.

Apart from main meals, so far I’ve made my own caramel (Dulce de Leche – full instructions on YouTube) and regularly make my own yogurt. I found a recipe for fairly small quantities of yogurt that only takes 4 hours using the pot in pot method – I use a ceramic pudding basin but you can use stainless steel too. There are literally thousands of recipes on the Internet, especially on YouTube.

There is a delay function too but I haven’t used it yet. Means you can set up the IP to cook your meal to time it when you come home. I haven’t used my cooker once since getting the IP. It’s simply the best gift I’ve ever been given.

I have had this approximately 6 months now and use it regularly. I was apprehensive at first, particularly with the pressure cooker function. I am really surprised and delighted at how versatile this machine is.
I used to use a slow cooker, but often I’d forget to switch it on, or not fancy what I’d been cooking/ hadn’t prepared stuff in advance.
I love how you can saut ingredients, then deglaze and pressure cook it instantly. Although it takes time to come up to pressure, the cooking time for meat and lentils in particular is so much quicker. The meat I’ve cooked, tastes like it had been slow cooking for hours. The fact I can throw in some frozen chicken, a batch of curry sauce the rice in a pot in the trivet and have the whole meal ready with minimal interaction within 20 mins is a bonus on a busy night.
Risotto is a breeze and I’ve even cooked a whole chicken for 6 in less than 35 mins.
I would recommend this, especially if you like the taste of slow cooked food but don’t want it on all day when you are out, or are as disorganised as me and never set it up on time.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersI mostly use a pressure cooker for making broth and stock.

The Instant Pot does this quickly and efficiently (using the soup/broth programme) without the steam and smell associated with a traditional stove-top stock pot.

It is heavy and feels nicely made. The body of the pot warms up, while cooking is in progress, but remains remarkably cool for a pressure cooker. The top (naturally) becomes very hot . You need a safe, level space to use it in, and it needs to remain undisturbed while it is in use and depressurising.

One of the reasons that I chose this model was that it has an inner pot made of stainless steel, which I find more durable and easier to clean that ‘non-stick’ coated surfaces.

I am looking forward to trying the yogurt making and slow-cook programmes.

I would like to give this more-than-just-a-pressure-cooker piece of kitchen equipment a 5 Star Review, but I found the user manual that comes with the Instant Pot intensely frustrating. It keeps referring the user to the Instant Pot website and some of the links that are given are out of date. Added to which I have so far found it impossible to register my pot on the warranty page of the website ( I have been trying for three days now). As there is a useful message on the main website pages that no emails will be answered until after the Easter holiday, I will wait to contact customer support about this.

There is a much more detailed manual available on-line – if you can find it. I can’t link to it here because links are forbidden in Amazon reviews. A search for DUO Series Manual English January 2018 may help anyone who, like me, was wondering which button to press to do things like change pressure levels.

Bought this little helper in December and it completely changed my life. I spend no more than 30min in the kitchen (usually 10-15) and I get super nice healthy meals. I cook vegan food in the instant pot, but I’m super happy with its performance. Gets to pressure very fast Vs older models (will also depend on volume of water and food inside) and cooks things to perfection without supervision and without incident. Needs a bit of care, to ensure the vent is closed (otherwise the food will burn, thankfully that never happened), but otherwise a fantastic kitchen helper for a busy life. The taste is incredible. I usually cook same foods on a rotation so I remember the timings and water volume needed, but any recipe (with timing and water needed) is a couple of clicks away on Google. Those parameters are key to get good cooking but there are so many recipes online that one is spoiled for choice. Beans cook super quickly and perfectly. One can even cook artichokes, or boil eggs (perfect peeling once you fine tune the recipe)… anything is possible.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI have been using italmost daily in the last 3 weeks.
Lots of great websites fo find recipes. It is very fast. Faster if you put hot water in as the time to get the pressure ready will become shorter. The saute function is great too, so fast to get very hot! Examples: rice ( takes 5 min to get pressure, and then I put 5 min to cook), but if you are not going to release the pressure immediately, then I use only 2-3 min to cook and leave the pressure to release. I did macaroni cheese (7 min), pork (20 min), whole chicken (20 m in) steam vegetables ( 2 min), mince meat. for bolognesa, many many soups ( 5-10 min)….I love it!
I have to reduce the time people advice in their recipes, because this one is much faster and stronger, maybe because its new, or a new model.
Easy to clean. I got an extra pot too. So I can marinate meat in one, while cooking soup in another one, for example.

I got this to try and free up some counter space in my small kitchen. It was intended to replace a soup maker, slow cooker and pressure cooker. And it looks as though it will. Love the fact that you can just set it to do its stuff on the easy to use digital interface and just come back later and its all done. It even automatically keeps stuff warm for you rather than just switching off.

So far I’ve done a soup, a lamb tagine and a cottage pie (steaming the potatoes above the meat, which worked remarkably well). And there is only one pot to clean (well two for the pie as I finished off the cheese topping under the grill).

The rather large cooking vessel lifts out easily and cleans easily. The only niggle is that there is a recessed lip in the “mothership” into which food can slip and which is then fiddly to clean.

Overall though a very good buy. Between this, the airfryer and the microwave, the newer gadgets may have made the traditional cooker redundant.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI bought my instant pot during the first lockdown – i needed to feed 4 adults and 2 kids daily and wanted to ensure we had something healthy and nutritious to eat. The instant pot soon came into it’s own.

The first thing I didn’t realise was that there’s a dedicated app full of step by step recipes. We’ve quickly found a number of favourite recipes including the Chicken Tortilla Soup (pictured) which we’ve made multiple times over. The app guides you through everything you need to do making the cooking process a doddle. We’ve made soups, cakes, stews and rice dishes with pretty good results most times (some drier recipes i’ve found need a little more water to avoid them sticking to the cooking pot).

The cooking process itself is very easy, just put in your food, select the cooking programme and the Instant pot does the rest, it’ll even keep your food warm when it’s done. We mainly use the pressure cook and slow cook functions, but it will saute and even make Yogurt (not tried that one). Cleaning is easy, remove the metal cooking pot and stick it in the dishwasher or wash it by hand, then give the lid a quick wipe and then it’s ready for the next dish.

I think the instant pot would be great for batch cooking, or if you have a small kitchen and need an appliance that can do multiple things then this is for you. it’s kept us well fed through the lockdowns and i’m glad we took the gamble.

This is a fantastic little electronic pressure cooker. It is simple to use and easy to clean by hand. As someone who does quite a lot of slow cooking, I found this an easy switch. Be aware though that you do need to allow for additional time on top of what recipes say because there is a heating-up and release time (varies depending on what you are doing). This means at lot of what the marketing claims to be “quick” isn’t. If you want to steam something for 10-15 minutes for example then I would suggest sticking with conventional steaming. But for stews, braised belly pork, slow-cooked duck or pork, basically anything that you might normally cooking for 2+ hours, this produces fantastic results.

Also warning: Don’t try to do rice the way it describes. It produces terrible results. Actually, don’t do rice in this at all. Stick with regular steaming/pot/microwave method.

I am however unhappy that the one I was sent was missing the instruction manual (including all the important safety information!) and also I think there was supposed to be a basic recipe booklet. Fortunately I was able to find a PDF manual online, which includes some important safety cautions. If not for this misstep and exaggerated marketing, I would give this 5 stars.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersThis is a great gizmo, ideal for a lot of things, but I can’t help thinking it should have a non stick container. I have used a few times and had a couple of times where it has caught at the bottom. It does warn you if something is burning but generally too late. Braising anything you can pretty much gaurantee it will stick to the bottom which doesn’t really make it a one pot solution if you want to braise and then cook. It’s a good addition to the kitchen but be aware of it’s capabilities, you need a fair amount of liquid to cook anything but if you get the balance right it makes great dishes. Sausage and bean casseroles especially.

We have used the old style pressure cooker for many years, and decided to get something a little more versatile.
We are now the proud owners of an electric cooker that does many different styles of cooking. So far we have made soups and have also slow cooked chicken and pork, and everything we have done has turned out really good.
My argument is why pay hundreds of pounds for some of these so called fancy gadgets, when you can buy this cooker which will achieve all that you need for a very reasonable price.
I have to say that we are delighted with our purchase, and I forgot to mention that it cleans in minutes, the centre bowl comes out and can be cleaned in no time.

My reviews are usually not this long, but i think it is actually one of those product you must have in your kitchen.

Probably the best buy of this year for me. i would highly recommend this product to the professionals like me who doesnt have enough time to cook or to cooking enthusiast who love cooking.. it will change your way of cooking. Since i have bought this, i have stopped using hob or pressure cooker. Some of the features i would like to mention,

Cooking rice (which is usually a pain for many) is literally a button press. And shoul aslo mention its well coooked rice not the soggy one.
Highly safe in comparison to conventional indian pressure cooker.
I literally cook everything in it ( rice, dal, curry, pasta, idli)
    Easy to clean
Less power consumption so environment friendly.
Doesnt make a mess as you would have if you cook on hob.
And the most important, i am not being paid by instant pot to write this review. I bought this product accidently just to give a try.

    Hope that helps..

I first bought this Instant Pot for my mum to replace her old electric multicooker.
I was so impressed with it that I got one for myself days later!

I own two stove top pressure cookers (first and second generation) so it took a bit of getting used to adjusting to the Instant Pot’s cooking times.

An Instant Pot (nor any electric version) will not cook your food faster than a stove top pressure cooker but it is a lot safer, and you don’t have to watch it like a hawk!

I mostly use mine for cooking curries, stews, bolognese, soup, lentils and rice.

Sometimes it can take a considerable amount of time to reach maximum pressure (before the cooking timer sets in) so in that regards it is not ‘instant’ anything.

I tend to use just a couple of the cooking programs and adjust times to suit.

Yogurt making can be a bit of a fraff but once you get the hang of it, is very satisfying and cost effective making your own.
I can’t handle a lot of lactose and don’t like the taste of diary free yoghurt, but with my Instant Pot I can make a batch with lactose free milk!

I occasionally get the ‘burn’ error if what I’m cooking is too thick, which means releasing the pressure until I can open it, stirring in more water and tackling the burnt food/ sauce at the base of the pot. Nothing instant about that either.

I didn’t buy into the all the extra accessories but did get additional silicone sealing rings as they strongly absorb the aroma of whatever you are cooking.
I use a different one for sweet and savoury cooking.

The original sealing ring eventually wore out last week (lasted 13 months).
The IP actually indicated that there was something wrong with it. The melody that plays when you close the lid slows down. Very clever!

It’s not perfect but it makes pressure cooking a lot safer and more accessible to the masses.

Still number one cooking gadet in my kitchen a year later!

    UPDATE 04/05/2021

So, must do this update as we have had this a while now. The amount of things you can cook in this is incredible, from soups to stews, chicken, pork, lamb, and, the best homemade rice pudding you’ll ever taste.

Like all pressure cookers YES they do take a little time to build up the pressure, but, it’s not a problem. Here is a great example, today, we did a pork loin, complete with potatoes, carrots and broccoli. The actual timing for COOKING is 3 minutes, yes, read that again lol, 3 minutes. You have about ten minutes for the pressure cooker to build up pressure, but, after that it’s 3 minutes to cook. Unbelievable. The pork loin doesn’t come out dry or chewy, it’s the most tender delicious loin you have ever had. Also, the potatoes, carrots and broccoli are cooked to perfection. Here is the best bit, one pot, one thing to clean, and, now, we have rice pudding on the go and again, it’ll be done before your main course has had time to settle. (in fact, rice pudding takes 12 minutes, and it’s better than any shop bought one, and if you are health conscious, you can use skimmed milk as we do and it’s still perfect) And, again, it’s delicious.

There are many many recipes online too, so you’ll never struggle with what to cook.

Last weekend, we did a chicken in it, and, again, if you are health conscious, then this is right up your ally. So, you don’t get a crispy skin, but, that’s good for us as we don’t eat the skin, but, my god is the chicken moist and tender, the pressure cooking keeps all the flavour in. Remember how food used to taste? Then you’ll want one of these because you don’t lose any of that flavour using this.

If, like others on here, you want to boil water for potatoes and, it’s quicker, it probably is, but, here’s the deal, you do a roast for example, and, you got pots boiling everywhere, loads of washing up, with this, not a problem, in goes your chicken, veggies, spuds (unless you want roast potatoes of course), and, you make up a stock (don’t put the thickener in though as it’ll burn). Whack it on for 30 minutes (for a large chicken) and that’s it. When it’s done, simply remove the chicken and veggies, then, with the lovely stock and all that delicious flavour in it from the chicken and your veggies, all you need to do is add a little thickener and, your gravy is done. Yes, it’s that easy. And the best bit, one pot to clean.

If you haven’t got one, ask yourself why lol.

If your partner loves to cook, as mine does, she absolutely swears by this thing now, and, she loves trying out new recipes.

This product is absolutely amazing, it’s one of these things you should have bought a long time ago.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersBest decision i made ever! Bought it on sale for 60 on prime day and havent looked back since. I am hardly using my stove top or oven and stopped using the rice cooker completely. You do need to play with the recipes as the first or 2nd time may not be right with the cook time or water amount, but it works out eventually. There are tons of IP recipes online, I’ve made yogourt, biriyani, curries, rice. I plan to make flan, cake, brownies next. I feel a lot less intimidated about cooking, thanks to this. Never used the pressure cooker in my life before this because i was scared of burning the house down!

It will make your life easier!

This is my third Instant Pot in 5 months.
The first 2 Instant Pot’s I purchased were the Duo Plus. The first one failed after 3 months and the second one after 2 weeks. I’ve used electric pressure cookers for years and finally gave in to all the hype and decided to invest in an Instant Pot. The fuse blew both times while using the saute function and once the fuse goes (there are 2 of them in the unit) the unit has to be returned. I then decided that maybe the older model (Duo) would be more reliable and less temperamental. I’ve been using it for 2 weeks now and ‘touch wood’ the fuse hasn’t blown. Overall, I find my original electric pressure cooker easier to use and more reliable and you can still buy them far cheaper than the Instant Pot. However, the advantage of having such a popular model is the huge abundance of accessories that are designed to fit (especially if you purchase the 5.7L model) . I’m sure I will grow to love the Instant Pot in time but because of the dodgy start it may just take a little longer.

If you want rice, then having a spare matching 6 Qt, 5.7 Liter saucepan that easily fits into this Insta Pot will broaden your dinnertime favourites. it’s a must if you have a hungry bunch in your family!

Many good safety features: 10 in all, proven for peace of mind!
Doesn’t belch out lots of steam.
After a couple of goes the Insta Pot is now my to-go in the kitchen
    Makes a super curry!
    Makes a wonderful stew!
    Makes virtually anything!

So versatile, Insta Pot takes no time to cook a decent meal when one comes home from a tiring day.
    Or even during lockdown!

I bought this on big discount during Prime Day. Even without the money-off, it’s still a wonderful kitchen bargain that will not disappoint.

I would have liked a larger recipe book. Maybe Insta Pot will consider this so we newbies don’t have to go and buy extra Insta Pot recipe books. Otherwise I am very happy with it and definitely recommend.

The mothers of most of us of a certain age had the old High Dome pressure cooker which would hiss away and suddenly vent a jet of steam terrifying the cat. For the time it was ideal, but a bit hit or miss and friends of mine wouldn’t use them in case it exploded – it never worried me! But this new electric type is great, fully automated and silent! I can give my slow cooker away, not tried the rice cooker bit, as I’ve never had a problem cooking rice conventionally. So far I’ve not used any ‘dedicated’ recipes, most of the books are for the US market, but have found ordinary ones work fine, just don’t make the mistake of adding extra liquid, like slow cookers, it doesn’t need it. I’m intrigued about cooking desserts, cheesecakes etc in it, interesting, also not tried – yet!
