Super fast delivery over quite a busy period. The bed was easy to assemble and reasonably comfortable, and is great for overnight stays.
Decent product
Mattress could be more thicker though.
Prompt delivery.
Would not recommend this type of bed though.
Fantastic comfortable bed. Light and easy to move. As comfy as my normal bed
Easy to assemble and easy to unfold . comfortable mattress good value for money would recommend to friends .
Tried it myself, and was impressed with it’s all round appearance.
This bed was perfect for a short notice guest, who was given the option of migrating to a different room with a proper bed after a couple of nights, but chose not to, so I assume it was comfortable. The only thing is, the headboard is useless and falls off all the time, you can’t lean on it. So I would recommend saving 20 or so and just getting the non-delux versio
Great product and really comfortable and great for guests coming to stay. But it arrives completely battered holes in the box and chips in paint work and fraying corners of the mesh which is disappointing.
Very happy with this bed for when our granddaughter stops over.
Arrived quickly. Easy to attach wheels and headboard. Very comfortable to sleep on. Would definitely recommend.
I couldn’t believe how comfortable this bed was. So easy to assemble and store.
I bought it as I was going to visit my son and, as he has a small apartment, didn’t want anything too big.
This bed is plenty long enough. My son tried it out and he’s over 6′. Also very sturdy.
Very good value.
Wow well I ordered the bed but it didn’t arrive! I contacted Customer services and one was sent the next day and I received bed in perfect condition. Anyway on assembly everything is the wrong way round (upside down) mattress was fitted underneath the foot bars and when bed made up it WON’T fold up with mattress on as when unfolded it unfolds upside down which makes it awkward. You can only fold the bed when it’s not in use which to me defeats the object. I’ve had Z- beds before and they’ve all folded up even when made. Anyway other than that it’s a good sturdy bed, haven’t tried for comfort as yet as I’m waiting on a hip replacement so it’s too low for me.
Easy to put up and surprisingly comfortable to sleep on.
Folds away easily and does not look out of place in the corner of the bedroom.
It was worth paying the extra to get this beautifully made bed. The headboard is good quality, as is everything else – and it doesn’t have those uncomfortable metal springs and thin mattress that our old one had.
Excellent delivery times and very helpful courier.
Good quality and comfortable folding bed.
I bought this bed for my 5 year old granddaughter when she stops over. She doesn’t like sleeping in a separate bedroom yet so this is perfect to have in my bedroom. She slept soundly and declared it was very comfortable. Very easy to put up and fold away. Excellent value.
Easy to assemble takes up very little space when folded easy to move, very comfortable
There’s nothing negative to be said about this product.
It’s easy to assemble & comfortable
The bed arrived on time, but the part holding folded bed together was broken. Quick phone call to a real person, problem solved, and a new part arrived a few days later. Very refreshing!
As can be seen from the attached photos the bed I ordered is damaged in several places. I ordered the bed for visitors who arrive tomorrow meaning I do not have time to order a replacement.
I would suggest I use the bed tomorrow and over the weekend and then return for a replacement on Monday.
Had a slight issue with wheels but very impressed with customer service replaced whole bed 1st class service 1st class product well done!!!
When the bed arrived the holding clip was broken. I rang straight through to the manufacturers and their customer service was excellent, with a new clip arriving next day. The bed is extremely comfortable and sturdy – very pleased with purchase.
Bought for over night visitors who couldn’t come due to COVID, however it is a replacement for one that my in-laws had which survived use by 5 grand children then umpteen teenage overnighters at our house. Confident it will be a good buy so didn’t return it when plans had to change.
Let us start with some facts as there are many inexactitudes out there. First the bed is 200mm long but the mattress is only 191mm long because the headboard takes up loads of space. Second the mattress of necessity has to be fairly thin as it has to be folded in half. If you want thicker then you can buy a mattress topper.
This bed is good value and takes up little space. It is also light to move around. The length is no less than many ordinary beds which are considered adequate. It is fairly low on the ground though. It is easy to assemble requiring only the casters to be fitted with a spanner (not supplied) and the headboard needs to be screwed to the ends of the sides (no screwdriver supplied). It is reasonably comfy as the flexible base has a fair amount of give.
This bed is well made and comfortable. Folds away neatly when not in use. Cross piece for holding bed together when folded was damaged in transit. One phone call to Jay-Be and a replacement was sent straight away. Would recommend this company ++ and will use again.
Very quick to assemble and very comfortable to sleep in too!
Originally the springs were not good quality. Raised the issue with vendor l. They apologised and very quickly send us replacement springs with a tool and instructions. Really love the customer service.
Easy to assemble, comfortable, had a problem with the headboard, they replaced it straight away.My 14 year old niece uses it for sleepovers.
This is a brilliant zbed the mattress is really comfy. I struggled a bit with the wheels but eventually got them on (and I’m a 70yr old pensioner) lol it’s so easy to fold up and down and store. I had looked for days for the right bed, I’m so glad I found this one. The delivery was fast too and the driver really lovely. Well packaged Thank You so very very
Great bed and very comfy considering what it is. My 17 year old son who is 6’2″ said it was a good bed.
I’ve been very impressed with this bed. I originally thought it would be like sleeping on a slightly more comfortable camp bed but I was wrong. The mattress is comfy and the bed feels secure even after being used many times now. It’s simple to put away and put down but the design is a bit of a faff if I’m honest and would be my only downfall with this. Having to put up upside down then turn over is not great in a small space which ultimately is one of the selling points of the bed after all. But once set up you’ll get a good nights sleep on this without any annoying noise from the frame or the fear of it collapsing in the nigh
Probably one of the best camp cots on the market. Easy assembly and comfortable.
My wife loved this very comfortable for a stay at our daughters sleep 1 like a log looking forward to the rest of the week sleeping on this bed much better than a blow up bed and the couch would highly recommend
Bought for spare room and grandson stop overs, he loves it, sleeps well.
Does its job and glad a bought the one with wheels o
Having an extra bed when you have visitors is really good and so easy to store when they have gone
This is an excellent extra bed, very comfortable, easily assembled and easy to store.
Great guest bed Good mattress Much better than other versions of this
Very comfortable and easy to store but did not expect it to be so low
Folding bed arrived quickly, well packed and was easy to assemble. Comfortable mattress, bed folds up easily and rolls away on castors.
perfect so comfy.staying over night is a pleasure now
Good product, does what it says, better than the wooden slat ones as had a few breakages with them and large adults
Sturdy bed, clip was broken on arrival phoned support and replacement part has been put in post. Can’t fault their support.
Thank you
Very little assembly, very comfortable and easy to move around on the casters.
Great value as a temporary bed and folds up easily to wheel into storage. I did put an old duvet on top of the matresses to make it even more comfortable. Had some very good nights sleep – it was very cosy.
Got this for emergencies. Had a go on myself. Brill. Comfy and sturdy. Easy to put up. Can,t fault it.
I liked the ease of putting this bed up, the mattress is very thin but as little kiddies will be using it that is ok. An adult may find it too thin and may need an extra bit of padding.
Our guest who slept on the bed said it was comfortable, and had no complaints.
Have bought 2 of these for my grandchildren. They both love them, and they have a really comfortable mattress
I was impressed how easy it was to assemble and also how comfortable it is
As a spare bed for guests it does the job well o
Bought this for my Grandchildren when they stay over, takes a few minutes to unfold and set up and my 11 year old Grandson said it was very comfortable and slept well. Easily folded up and stood in corner of room in morning.
Perfect!
Very easy to assemble and folds up nicely. Great for unexpected guests. I am told that it is very comfortable. I can highly recommend this product.
Easy to set up, easy to store (light, folds away well). Used with a memory foam mattress topper, without which could be quite a lot less comfy
eally handy bed for our 6 foot grandson when he visits
Really great product. Niece loved it. Comes basically assembled. So easy to use. Very pleased. I can’t figure out how to attach the headboard thingy but it’s not that important to the use!
Speedy arrival, not yet used for a full nights sleep but a ten minute rest after assembly (just to check it, of course!) seemed comfortable if a little narrow. Struggled with inserting first castor, instructions say ‘a tight fit’ and they weren’t kidding. The remaining three I did my way, 100% easier and quicker. Recommend tapping the spindle into the frame with a hammer first, then adding castor – job done. Four stars at present as it’s a new item.
Very happy with the purchase of this product. Very well made and comes with life time guarantee. Would 100% recommend this product.
I have bought 2 beds about a month ago! They arrived promptly. They are very well made and very confortable. From the one the wheels where missing company’s support team sent them the same day!Excellent quality excellent service!Well pleased with the purchase!
As a shift worker, I sometimes have as early as 3am starts and prefer to sleep in the spare room so as not to be disturbed. For this purpose, the bed is great. The mattress is deceivingly comfortable and although it’s very thin, the spring suspended base makes this feel quite soft and bouncy and I’ve had a couple of decent night’s sleep on it so far. The mattress is smaller than a single so a single sheet doesn’t fit very well but it’s not noticeable when you’re in it.
The bed itself folds up nicely and stores very neatly when not in use and only takes a couple of minutes to set up. For the price, and for what I use it for, this bed is more than fit for purpose.
Edit: I feel the need to update this review. After six months or so of infrequent use, the springs that suspend the mattress base seemed to have stretched. I think the cause may have been from putting weight on one side when getting out of it. This extra slack meant the cross bar underneath could be felt through the mattress making it quite uncomfortable. I noticed that JayBe offer a lifetime guarantee so I put it to the test. I emailed them on Wednesday night, had a reply Thursday morning and had a bag of springs, installation tool and instructions through my door on Saturday. Absolutely outstanding customer service from JayBe and I wouldn’t hesitate to buy their products in future.
Further edit: three years down the line and I’ve recently emailed the manufacturer a second time requesting additional springs as some had again stretched. The company is still a joy to deal with and I’ve just installed the new springs again which makes a lot of difference to the comfort of the bed.
This makes a fantastic emergency guest bed and my Grandson said it was very comfy.
very happy with items – useful and can be stowed away keeping a small bedroom floor free
Surprisingly comfortable – I’ve been sleeping on this for a week while I work on my house. I can’t fault it.
grandson says its great to sleep on ,stores no problem
Comfortable. I use it when I need to sleep in my workshop overnight. Well made. Excellent.
Great bed very comfy and so easy to pack away, thank you!
Would have given 5*, However, the thread in the headboard bolt is damaged and will not accept the screw. Hence 4* rating.
After reading negative reviews of the cheaper version of the Jay-Be where reviewers complained that the wooden slats broke easily, i decided to spend the extra money for this one. Wise move I reckon, I got it to use it when we babysit grandchildren and they want to sleep in nanny’s bed. Just used it for the second time and it’s easy to put up and I find it very comfortable. My only negative comment is that it is very low to the ground, but then if it wasn’t, the “folded” size would be bigger. Given a choice of the two I would rather stick with a smaller folded size even though it makes it a bit more difficult to get in and out of. Mind you if it was used for young children you wouldn’t worry about them hurting themselves falling out.
Great bed easy to handle and store. But the mattress is too thin and soft. Would not recommend for guests who has back problems..
Fantastic bed, I have since bought another as I use them for staying at my worksite as to far to travel back and forth. I weigh 115kg and the bed doesn’t show any straights’ mattress is of good quality and I have slept in mine for over three weeks now and no signs of failures.
Great price and very impressed its easy to open and fold
Awesome bed, the person who uses this says it’s perfect and very comfortable and he is 6ft and 16st so I guess it must be good!
I’ve slept on it myself and it’s really comfortable. I do not weigh much but the bed is claimed to support a person weighing up to 18 stone (264 lbs) and a guest weighing (I guess) about 14 stone slept on it and said they found it very comfortable too. The bed was easy to set up but two springs (that fix the mattress base to the frame) were missing from the pack. Jay-be customer service was friendly, prompt and efficient, sending me the springs by first class post to arrive the day after I phoned them.
Really worth buying. I have purchase this product as guest/friend bedding and it’s worth every penny and very easy to use and not taking much space while in folding.
Very comfy for average weight person but not recommended for heavy weight person.
A good temporary bed, and exceptional customer service: after an accident here with a couple of parts, the manufacturers immediately sent replacements and resolved the issue. Very impressive.
Really thrilled with it, looks very robust and comfy and so easy to put up. My grandson can’t wait to try it when he comes for sleep -ove
Great guest bed. Very comfortable. Not suitable for anyone over 6ft I would say but ideal for my 7yr old grandso
I ordered this for use at my mother’s home when visiting! So far I haven’t used it, but one of my sisters has and she says it’s REALLY comfortable. It’s EXCELLENT value. Apparently it was missing some of the screws for the “legs” but have been promised they will be forwarded!
Brilliant. Excellent bed.
What a big change over the years of a folding bed!
Gone is the support bar that used to be so uncomfortable. And here we have a fold away bed, which has NO uncomfortable bars.
Brilliant design. Easy to assemble. Comfort at last for my daughter when she visits.
Very comfortable indeed for your visiting guest but not as tidy when folded as their https://www.amazon.co.uk/JAY-BE-Folding-Density-Airflow-Mattress/dp/B006MR7LXE/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1476924419&sr=8-2&keywords=jaybe+guest+bed which. When folded can serve as a shelf to rest your tea on.
Also, I reckon that at least SOME kind of cover or dust sheet could be supplied.
Top bed for comfort, just niggling storage issues as above.
This is a good-quality put-you-up bed that in fact is sturdy enough for everyday use. The mattress is thick enough to really give some good support, and although it does require a bit of muscle-power to get it out of the box and set it up, once in place I think any guest would be delighted. As some others have commented it’s quite low down, but on the other hand, that means it’s great for kids: probably not something for an elderly relative because getting up off it would be a bit of a struggle. Good materials, well made, supportive – a great bed all round!
This is a well designed folding bed with a superior build quality and strong yet lightweight metal frame. It feels sturdy, strong and solid with no danger of it tipping over, folding or collapsing while in use and is a folding bed designed for regular use rather than occasional light use, as many other folding beds are.
It is especially easy to use and store: when not in use it stores standing on its end until needed then, thanks to the castors on its base, it can be lightly wheeled into the room where it is needed while also being sufficiently lightweight and non-bulky or cumbersome to carry upstairs. Once in situ, the retaining clip securing the two end frames is released and the bed opens out. All it needs is to be overturned, the headboard hinged into position and then it is ready to use. With the mattress measuring 183cm long and 68cm wide, it is a comfortable size for most adults although anyone with a larger build who is prone to being a restless sleeper might find it a little narrow. The base is a suspended mesh sheet which provides a combination of gentle support but also some ‘bounce’ making it suitable for users of all weights, up to about 18-20 stone. It is also completely silent with no creaks or rattles when the sleeper moves or changes position during the night. Filled with a breathable fibre filling rather than foam, the mattress also is gently supportive and doesn’t sag — even after several weeks of continuous use and I was especially impressed to see that, even after remaining folded in half since manufacture, there was no noticeable bend or lump in the mattress at the point where it folds.
Minimal user assembly was required — just pushing in the castors and screwing on the headboard, following foolproof sketches in the manufacturer’s leaflet which also included a UK telephone number, not even a premium rate line, to call should any advice be needed and I also noted that 2 spare screw fittings were provided for the headboard — all very reassuring.
This is a comfortable, robust and very well designed bed which I am confident will not disappoint. I would have liked the mattress to be 75cm wide, given a choice, but this is nit-picking and it thoroughly deserves its 5-star rating.
The bed can be fitted together fairly quickly. It took me around 20 minutes. The instructions are pretty easy to follow and it mainly consists of attaching some pedastal type wheels and screwing the headboard in place.
The only difficulty was finding a screwdriver small enough to secure the inner side screws for the headboard where space is limited.
Once you have fitted the wheels and headboard the bed is ready for use.
I found the mattress very comfortable and the bed feels quite sturdy compared to other foldaway beds that I have used in the past.
The bed is quite low so it would not be suitable for an frail elderly aunt who is staying over at Christmas.
The bed folds up for storage but is quite bulky to store and heavy to move around in the box (out of the box is not a problem as you can wheel it around). This might make it unsuitable for some people but is probably why the bed feels so solid and comfortable.
If you want a a comfortable bed for a guest, they are able to get up and down from a low height easily and you have plenty of storage space you should consider purchasing this bed.
This arrives in a big cardboard box that literally just covers the bed, and as no protective case isn’t provided I’d suggest that the box would be useful to keep dust off it if you intend to keep the bed stored away.
While it takes up some space when folded, it’s in a convenient way – imagine a tall thin table. It’s very very easy to assemble, you simply fold it down and attach the headboard and it’s ready to use. Although it’s a thin bed, it’s comfortable for the odd night or two but if you wriggle a lot at night then you may be in danger of falling out of the bed – luckily it’s not a big drop on the floor and I can vouch that falling out doesn’t hurt (too much!)
It’s surprisingly light to move around and easy to setup and put away and as such it’s an ideal bed that’s designed for infrequent use for a couple of nights.
Highly recommended if you have frequent sleep overs or just as a temporary overnight sleep.
Of course this is not as comfortable as a normal bed but then it is designed to be a put-me-up and well designed at that. I still find that the inflatable mattresses are probably the most comfortable but are a bind to inflate and even worse to deflate and repack. This bed folds simply and is only about 9-10″ wide and slides down the side of the wardrobe.
It is well made and has a mesh base. The mattress is very good compared to other similar styles. I found it better to use a sleeping bag as the mattress is not heavy enough to hold down sheets without them being everywhere by morning. The only downside really is the width of the thing is only about 2′ 4″ so about the size of a young child’s bed, but this makes it smaller to store.
For its type this is the best I have tried, by quite a way but for comfort for more than a night or two I would still go through the hassle with the inflatable.
The bed comes in a large box and is quite weighty if your of average build
This bed is very comfy, gives firm support, compact, lightweight and extremely well made. The headboard is an added feature that my older Z bed doesn’t have.
It has easy fit castors which makes it easy to move around.
The mattress lays on a substantial mesh which is held in place by taut springs aiding a very good nights sleep. Also, there is no metallic squeaking of the bed when changing position during the night.
I would highly rate this bed, although the one down point is that, before you close the bed, you need to flip the bed over and put the mattress on the other side of the mesh. In other words, you can’t simply close the bed by folding it in half with the mattress staying in the same position. Even still I would still give 5 stars as it is very comfy.
This is a really well made, sturdy folding bed frame, complete with attractive beech-look headboard and a lightweight foldable mattress. Relatively minimal assembly is needed, another review mentioned that the screws for affixing the headboard were missing, but mine had all screws and fixings intact, in a small polybag. Clear, unambiguous instructions for assembly are supplied.
The clever design means that the castors for moving the frame around when folded, don’t move the frame around when it is unfolded and in use as a bed.
Each of the four castors has a pin to be attached which is a tight fit; it requires quite a bit of pressure to push in to place both on the feet and into the castor. You will also need two different sized Philips screwdrivers to affix the headboard.
Like most folding beds, this is low to the ground – 29 cms is just short of 1 foot, so do be aware of this.If someone has difficulty in rising from a low sofa, they will also find this bed a bit of a challenge.
Fortunately it seems far more stable than many similar beds and can be used as some support when rising.
It is quite narrow, as most beds of this type are, very tall and well built people will find it small. For those of average height and build, teenagers and children, it should be fine.
The mattress is very light, and not too thick, but the comfortable base is on a spring-supported mesh rather than slats, which makes it far more comfortable, and suitable for regular use.
It folds very easily and quickly after use; it’s held together with a thick, strong plastic clip that holds the two ends in position. This requires a little bit of force to detach, but is very sturdy and won’t break under force.
I will be using my mattress with a memory foam topper so that guests have a bit of extra comfort, but the mattress is perfectly adequate if you don’t want to go to this expense.
Once the bed has been assembled (Push fit the four caster wheels and attach the head board 2 x screws) it is ready for normal use.
Like all such folding beds, it is very low to the ground so I doubt anyone mobility problems would like to use it (just under 13″ / 33cm to mattress top).
I was also surprised that to unpack and use the bed is a little more involved than ones I have used in the past and you also need some free room (the video on the makers website seems to skip most of them).
1. Un-clip top handle (which keeps the bed in packed mode).
2. Lower the two sides to the floor (the bed frame is now upside down on the floor).
3. Remove the mattress and put to one side (you have to thread it out from under the middle bar).
4. Turn the base of the bed over.
5. Flip up the headboard.
6. Put the mattress on the spring base.
7. Fit sheets / sleeping bag as required.
So compared with some where you just the lower the two sides it is a lot more involved.
To pack, reverse the steps.
In use it is pretty comfortable and long enough for me (I am 6′ tall).
Storage size 102cm / 40″ high x 82cm / 32″ wide x 28cm / 11″ thick.
Enjoy…
This is a simple, but good fold away bed.
It is easy to set up and pretty comfortable to lie on.
The mattress is one of the more comfortable “spare bed” mattresses I have used, it is not as thick as a standard bed matress ( the price you pay for the convenience of a folding , tuck away bed) and it is narrower too, but for few nights stay this is going to be fine.
It is quite a low bed, which can be disorienting if you were to wake up in the middle of the night.
On the plus side it takes barely any time to get this from folded and tucked away, to ready to sleep on – perfect for last minute plans and unexpected guests.
I wouldn’t like to sleep on this for more than a few days together, but for busy times like Christmas when family often stay for a few days this is ideal.
I’ve had a few guest beds in a few different places, obviously none are as good as a good quality “proper” bed but if you are short on space or need to accommodate extra people, some way of providing the extra bed space needs to be found.
Years ago, folding beds were enormous and unwieldy, and needed nearly as much space as a normal bed, but design has improved massively and the Jay be company is the front runner in t his area.
The box for tis bed looked at first sight smaller than I expected, and although it was a faff to move into the house, things improved. There is a minimal amount of assembly to be done, just attaching the castors and the headboard. First the castors have to be fotted on to their spindles, the instructions warn that this will be stiff but firm hand pressure is enough, no tools needed. Then the spindles fit into the ends of the frame tube feet (easier than the spindles) and you can then stand the bed on its wheels.
This is where it gets a bit different from my previosu folding bed. OPenig hte two halves of the bed and laying them down results in the actual bed being upside down, so you have to turn it over. Remove the mattress first and the turn the frame, then fit the headboard, which is easy using bolts whcih go through the frame to make a hinge.
Youc an then put hte mattress on top. If you are regularly puttig this bed up in a very restricted space (as I am, between 2 normal single beds) then this system is more hassle than the old one. However it does seem to make for a slightly more compact package depthwise, though the bed out s actually quite a bit longer as the legs project beyond the mattress ends. Make sure you have space for this.
Once the headboard is installed you just hinge it up, and although it seems a bit something and nothing, it does stop the pillow slippping over the end of the bed so a useful extra.
My older Jay be bed has a wooden slatted construction which I have to admit has got less comfy as the mattress has compressed. Its fine for me but a couple of guests have made polite enquiries about mattress toppers so obviously a bit spartan for some. This one has J Tex fabric mesh slung trampoline style on springs attached to the frame; it avoids the slatty feel and I think is more comfortable on the whole. The mattress, a basic airflow foam and fibre type, doesnt quite cover the springs so is a bit narrower than t he bed, so be careful getting in and out as springs can catch hair or clothing. I wonder how the springs will wear the mattress over time.
The mattress cover fabric is again pretty basic, but doesnt show when made up. I’ve seen enquiries as to special sheets for this size bed, I’ve never bothered but just use stretch jersey cotton single size ones, (only 4.99 from Lidl and last for ages). They are comfy and dont need ironing and pretty flexible in fit.
Going back to the frame folding mechanism, this new version needs turning upside down again to fold the frame, so you will need somewhere to put the mattress while you fold the frame. the mattress, interestingly, came folded witht he crease at the top, so the ends go either side of the frame crosspieces, but another bed I’ve used with a similar design, you had to sort of thread the mattress into the frame before folding. It all sounds much more complicated than it is, I’m just trying to give a picture f the ease of use.
The measurements given are in fact those of the main frame, various bits and pieces of hinges etc do stick out a bit, so if you are hoping to store it in a tight spot make sure you have an extra few cm all round. Luckily it fits in my wardrobe by a whisker, and is therefore in the right place for use at short notice.
One thing I have found before is that Jay be give excellent customer service, there is a leaflet included saying call them if any problems; I would definitely do this if you have any missing parts etc before trying through Amazon. This bed actually came with a second set of wheels and bolts, so that was nice!
Sturdy and stable when erected this rather large folding bed is extremely comfortable.
Headboard and small wheels are optional add-ons provided but not really needed.
Folds down to a relatively small size, given how big it is when up, still takes up more room than smaller versions, obviously.
This single bed from Jay-Be is surprisingly small when folded up and then surprisingly big when unfolded. I am a 6 foot 16 stone guy and I easily slept on it with no problems and because it is a nice fiber mattress and sprung base it actually is surprising comfortable. In terms of storage then this really does fold tight to less than 30cm depth and fit in our under stairs cupboard with lots of room to spare. It takes about 30 seconds to erect, a cheap sheet from Amazon to cover the mattress and you are away. Very impressed and a different league to a cheap blow up mattress.
This is a well-designed fold-up bed made of durable materials and I like the sprung mesh ‘base’ compared to wooden slats that I have slept on before. Surprisingly, the mattress is not bent like a banana and soon settles down flat when the bed is unfolded. A good mattress but I would not describe it as thick – it’s fit for purpose and within the limitations of a mattress that has to fold in two.
Advantages –
1. Easy to store and unfold.
2. Good looking bed.
3. Durable materials.
4. Portable
Disadvantages –
1. Not that soft.
2. Low level.
Overall it’s a good bed and useful in lots of situations. Ours is downstairs in case I snore too much!
This is an excellent foldable and lightweight bed that is perfect to use as a temporary bed. The mattress is surprisingly soft and comfortable and the overall construction of the bed is very robust and solid.
When folded the bed is very compact and the fact it’s on wheels makes it easy to transport and store. It’s also very light and easy to carry, making it ideal to use as a spare bed.
This is a really good quality bed. We have had many over the years within the family, but this is by far the best. It is made in the UK, it has a headboard, it is sturdy, has a comfortable foamy mattress and a much better base. The base has side springs and a tough nylon fabric, stretched across and not those horrible metal zigzag springs that dig into your back. The mattress is deep and comfortable. The bed is a good length, too, Minimal construction needed to fix headboard and the casters on the legs. Folds away to 32″ x 38″ x 10″. It should last years and is so useful for guests and can be used on a regular basis as it is not of flimsy construction.
Very pleased indeed.
My son often has friends staying over and this normally involves us battling with an old sofa-bed to make them comfortable. When I was invited to check out this JAY-BE Revolution Folding Bed with Airflow Fibre Mattress I thought that it would make life much easier — and it looks like it will. This model is easy to set up and folds nicely for storage out of the way in the garage when not in use — a good space saver which is much more compact than the older models we’ve used previously. It is comfortable, featuring the J-Tex sprung base system, and is British made with lifetime guarantee for the frame. The supplied Airflow fibre mattress is comfortable and breathable and JAY-BE also offer the Revolution bed with a couple of more expensive mattresses featuring memory foam or pocket springs should you prefer. In use the bed measures 29cm high by 77cm wide by 200cm long and folds down to 101cm high by 77cm wide by 23cm deep to store– smaller than some similar beds. This model moves on castors and is suitable for regular as well as occasional use. Currently around one hundred and five pounds from Amazon this bed by JAY-BE represents good value for the quality and comfort offered. This is something that will be well used in our house and it looks up to the job — five stars for features and value.
This is great to have as a guest bed. It is light. It folds up making it easier to store. It is slight smaller in width than an ordinary single bed but big enough. It is comfortable. It is solid. It has a comfortable mattress. It is easy to put together. Mine arrived with the catch at the top broken (maybe in transit?) but customer service very good and a replacement one sent quickly. High quality. Highly recommended. .
Good quality and very sturdy. I weigh 95kg and this bed in comfy and takes my weight well.
Only issue is there were no screws/bolts included to fix the bed head on properly.
Was a bit sceptical at first but after using it for myself to sleep on, I must say I’m very pleased with my purchase
This is a lovely bed. It is easy to set up, stable and comfortable.
The seller is to be commended. There are two brackets fixing the headboard and one of these was broken (possibly in transit). I contacted the seller and the response was generous and prompt, even sending me more than I asked for. I would thoroughly recommend not only the bed but also the seller.
Very comfy and appears a lot better than the poorly made easily broken slatted Jay-Be version which had to be returned to shop.
