Some surface splintering on the seat frames, covering unevenly cut and held by dozens of staples. When assembled none of this shows and they look quality. Plenty of screws to hold the chairs firm and they are comfy and sturdy. Thanks to Theresa for a detailed answer to my badly worded question – I got the info needed. (The seller didn’t respond.)

Excellent chairs, assembled in less than an hour. Very comfortable and neat presentation.
Bought for my son at Christmas as he was hosting dinner. One seat had a small cut in the piping & had screw/washer missing so had only 3 usable. Replacement seat & parts were sent later. Would still recommend as they re good quality for the price and company good to deal with.
