Great for our strong dog. We have a typical, stocky staffy. He can be very strong on walks and isn’t keen on other dogs so it’s crucial that he has a strong harness that is also comfortable for him. This harness is ideal, it adjusts well to his broad chest and ribs and is constructed well. The handle on the back is good for situations when I need to closely control him and keep him by my side- for example, if he sees a dog he isn’t keen on.
Only thing that could do with looking at by the manufacturer is that the side buckle doesnt feel as greater quality as the rest of the harness…although to be fair it is still strong and does the job.

Fantastic Results and good quality We purchased this product after struggling with our GSD being sometimes reactive she walks lovely to heel on a standard collar but has recently when leading upto first season pulling to get to other dogs. This harness gives us complete control and stops her swinging about we purchased the lead as well and it’s the best lead I’ve ever brought not slippy in your hand it’s so good I’m going to buy another as a spare. The harness gives my dog security too I think she thinks we control her better with it. She doesn’t pull into the harness either because she is trained to heel. Purchased for English bull terrier 25kg Fits like a glove easy to adjust sturdy my girl is comfortable in it secure in it and stops her pulling so hard. This is the second harness I have purchased for her in this range and only needed a second as she loves to throw herself on the floor and roll round so needed a second while the other is drying out. Machine washable withstands her dragging herself across the floor can’t fault these
Best around I always get these harnesses. Look fab, are comfortable for dogs and easy to put on. Great colour especially with his matching lead. The only thing is that after about a year the fabric around the lead attachment disintegrates. I think this is because it has been subjected to sea water though. I still keep buying them though because they’re the best out there.

Great suppo Fantastic quality and wonderful support for my dog in the car. He’d got used to walking just in collar and lead but whenever he’s travelling in the car the harness comes out. He loves it – it means car journeys and it reminds him of he one he had as a pup.
Basically – it’s strong, very sturdy, fits well and both me and my dog are confident with it. I’d recommend. As would my Jazz-dog.
Amazing - My dog no longer pulls!!! This harness makes taking my dog for a walk a pleasure, instead of “HARD WORK.” I found the harness easy to fit. I have a brilliant lead, light, strong and chew proof. Together these two items are worth there weight in gold. I can enjoy wherever we walk without the dog nearly choking and pulling my arm almost out of it’s socket. She also has so much more time to sniff and walks happily with me. I love the handle on the harness as well. Much easier to control when we decide on a different paths. I only received it yesterday and I am so pleased. Well worth the money. Highly recommended.
Robust and safe control Had the larger version for our strong active Beagle x Spaniel for years now, so did look at other options for our new Daschund x Beagle puppy is small but like a very small fast tank that is suprisingly strong. It is ideal , others have commented on loose or rubbing, but it is extremely important to fit correctly and find the right balance in length of belly strap vs chest strap, just a few attempts and I can safely lift him with the back handle, without fear of it slipping off and it does not restrict him at all when running full speed off lead. I bought side velcro patches off ebay for a few quid to personalise and it looks great. He is really keen to don it now as it means it’s fun outside time and he appears very comfortable , as well as securely controlled on lead or restrained in the car! Extremely happy
Best harness ye I really liked this product, I’m not a fan of walking my furry friend by the neck and have brought previous make harness which either didn’t fit right or wasn’t sturdy enough!
The handle on the harness is under rated and always thought why! However after my 22kg lab pup (yes pup) fell in the canal and steep sides he couldn’t get out, i lay on the edge and lifted him out by the handle, no way would i of been happy dragging him out by his collar, i mean if i had to, i would! It held his weight comfortably no choking and was perfect after. No harm done!
The velcro branding on the side has been replaced by velcro labels you can get made on ebay for a few quid, has my number on should i lose him! All in all i do love this harness! What i would love to see is maybe a little more padding in the strap that goes around his body (just because i think it would add a little more comfort)
Pup seems happy in it and after my rescue mission, i cant recommend enough!
Where were these when I was growing up?! Bought a new puppy in 2019 and when we went to dog training almost everyone seemed to have their dogs on a Julius K9 Harness vs connecting the lead to the collar.
It just makes sense and I’ve not used a lead on a collar since. Two years later and the harness still looks like new (after chucking it through the washing machine), really it’s a great quality product.
We’ve just got another new puppy to keep the other dog company and immediately bought another harness.
Really you can’t go wrong, I suspect the harness will outlast your dog. It’s so refreshing to find a modern product that’s priced fairly and built to last.
Fits a 4 month old Labrador Puppy It’s over ten years since we had a new puppy in the house, noticed these harnesses out on the field and thought we’d give one a go, easy to fit and adjust, he doesn’t appear distressed, always happy to put it on, washes well, and has plenty of room for adjustment so should get a good few months out of it at the rate he’s growing, will definitely get him another when he grows out of it, you won’t be disappointed!
Quality produc In the last 3 years Our JRT has had several harnesses and they have very quickly worn or broken. On opening this harness I could see it is good quality and sturdy. The wide opening at the front makes it easy for the dog to slip it’s head through. A plus for us as our dog hates things going over his head.
The harness keeps it’s shape well and is easy to do up or undo. Our dog appears to find it comfortable to wear and cannot wriggle out of it.

Handle could be improved but not bad for pedestrian walks Ordered in august 2020 no issues with it so far. Not very reflective so my dog wears a reflective bandana and has a safety light as well. Handles annoying to grab because it’s Velcro. My dog is long haired, this harness gives her lots of knots. Not suitable for walking fells etc as if you had to grab your dog they’d slip out as it’s only one strap across the front. I have another harness for these situations but just a heads up.your dog could also get out of it if they’re escape artists, mine doesn’t try and is quite happy. Use this one on her for normal pedestrian route walks. Handle is handy for when other dogs approach but again Velcro is unecessary and a hinderance for functionality. Have washed it with no problems. Velcro will catch long fur but not major enough to have to change it just the odd hairs not clumps. Good range of sizes. Easy to put on and off.
Recommend for any puppy owner who wants to keep their pup safe! The handle on the harness is an excellent feature when I need to quickly bring my puppy to safety. I personally dont like a harness for my dog as it gives her too much strength across her chest which she uses. I use a training lead attached to her harness and her collar to practice lead walking. No pressure on the collar and the ability to use the harness to position her close works for us. The harness is well made, fits well and easy to get on and off. Expensive but certainly worth it.
Great harness The dog loves this harness and walks taller wearing it. I think she thinks she’s in the special forces with it on, with its military style. She’s not a ‘puller’ anyway, but this does definitely improve her walking to heel, and she seems to find it comfortable. The only downside is that on her first one the D ring corroded and wore through the heavy duty webbing that attaches it to the harness – disapointing in what is otherwise a top quality good looking harness.
Should've purchased this a long time ago! Having used several other types of harnesses. The Julius K9 harness is by far a better fit and my dog certainly likes it. The Burgundy colour is great, it stands out but isnt too over powering.
My dog will almost certainly wont be able to remove this harness her self which is a plus especially at the Vets and when around other dogs at the park.
Would recommend measuring your pet thoroughly to ensure the fit is perfect. Size 0 is ideal for smaller dogs up to 56cm
Well worth the £££* Wanted one of these for ages for my Boarder Terrier and I am so pleased with it. He’s not being tugged on the neck anymore and I’m convinced he feels a little freer going for a walk on his harness. I have washed it in the machine and it comes up like new.

Stops the dog from constantly pulling. Even though he still pulls occasionally, it is far more controlled than when he used to have a collar.
I can’t say he enjoys wearing it, but it doesn’t bother him once it is on.
I bought the size M/0 which is for dogs 14kg and up, my dog is 15kg and the belly strap was on the smallest setting and still a little slack (he is a very lean Cockerpoo with no belly fat), so I sharrtened the strap and it is now a good fit as described in the instructions. (This would probably invalidate any warranty though!)
Best dog harnesses around We, the dog and I, love these K9 harnesses. The mini fits our Border Terrier perfectly, she loves wearing it, and walks perfectly with it on. They are well made and have loads of useful features, padding, handle, luminous branding etc. Like any harness they are prone to get pretty dirty underneath on muddy walks but that is not a fault. I have dropped one star because the lead attachement ring has rusted on two harnesses now, and on one this wore through the retaining canvas loop which I have had to replace. Another niggle is the velcro side panels, the corners are really sharp and really do need to be rounded off becasue they are very scratchy on bare legs as they are.

Really good to help 'manage' your puppy! Great product; we’ve had Julius K9 harnesses before. It was slightly larger than we needed, but the dog will grow into it, and we had a smaller size for our other dog, so not a problem – just check dimensions carefully
I’d prefer the rigid handle rather than the flexible one that velcro’s flat out of the way (it’s stitched to the harness firmly; other models have a rigid handle that stays proud of the harness) as the idea is to be able to grab your dog if it needs to be held back (while it learns how to socialise for example). Really pleased. Lost 1 star for ‘stretch’ as, well it doesn’t, so not sure why this is an option; no complaints about the item at all
You and your dog need the Julius K-9 Harness This is a great harness and our dog loves it.
It has a useful grab handle, so when he sees a cat of a squirrel we can control him easily without hurting his neck.
Greyhounds can go from a standing start to warp factor 8 in the blink of an eye.
One day he saw a cat which we’d not noticed, and our 85lb muscle-packed grey-boy took off like a rocket.
If we’d only had him on a traditional neck collar and lead, he could easily have broken his neck.
However, the Julius K-9 harness easily and comparatively gently took the strain without causing him any harm or damage, except to his pride because he didn’t get to chase the cat he wanted to run after!
Also, we use the welded steel loop to secure him to a seatbelt point when we’re travelling.
He can still move around and be comfortable, but he cannot get into the front seats while remaining as safe as possible in case of a collision.
This harness is ESSENTIAL for all dog owners.
Harness of fun.....work and play! Brought for my English cockers both in size 0. From ordering to delivery was less than a week. For me personally, I wanted to make sure that my boys were comfortable wearing these before heading out on our little walks.

Durable, safe, sturdy - would recommend Having a large rescue who was described to us as a “puller” and had little walking experience, we decided we needed a durable harness that could stand up to his strength. Knowing that the K9 harnesses were used by professionals, we figured we would give it a try, and I’m glad we did.
Before purchase, the harnesses come with clear and concise instructions to help you find the perfect fit for your companion. The harness was easily adjustable to our dog’s shape once on, and we could adjust it to his form as he lost weight and gained muscle over his time with us. It has durable and strong security clips that are easy to unclip, but durable enough that even when Harry rears and we pull on his handle harness there is no give on that clip.
The harness withstands our treks and hikes through the woods, cleans well, and survives the rain in UK. The interchangeable badges glow in the dark, and provide an extra reflective glow for those later night walks, and are a nice unique little novelty.
Overall this is a great harness. It stands up to pulling. It cleans well. Its durable. It has clear reflective trimming for walking safely. It has a safety handle that can be flattened down and stays down by the attached velcro if this is not of need. The attachment for the leader is a strong metal loop – note if you pull the harness by the leash instead of the harness halt handle, the harness can wrinkle and invert, but will return to normal.
Go a size up if your dog is the upper end of a measurement. Feel this product is really secure and no chance of your dog escaping out of it. My dog has managed to slip other harness’s. The handle on the top allows you to support the dog in/out of a car. The ring attachment for the lead is large enough to leave the lead attached while you secure the dog to a seatbelt attachment before detaching the lead so the dog is secured at all times. I have bought 2 sizes because I have 2 dogs both are good fit if you follow the measuring instructions as directed. I bought the mini mini and the mini. Do what the measuring guide says and go a size up if your dog is the upper end of a measurement. You can’t go wrong very adjustable.
A great fit actually! Bought this for my oversized miniature schnauzer to replace his Perfect Fit harness, which was a perfect fit, but was causing matting under his front legs. My dog HATES all kinds of harnesses so is not overly impressed with this one, but he tolerates it and even has a run around off the lead in the woods, which is a step forward! As the purchaser, I am impressed to be honest. It’s a great fit, the front strap sits well above his shoulder blade, so doesn’t impede his shoulder movement, and after six walks, there has been no matting of his hair (and I’ve checked by running a comb through when we get home). I’ve since bought the car attachment for the odd occasion he rides shotgun with me. Oh, and the grey colour really suits him – well, I think so anyway!

It’s a lot beefier than the old soft harness my sprocker had, and he sometimes tries to hide away when he sees it come out the cupboard, once it’s on though, he has no issue at all, and runs around like an idiot to his hearts content.

Harness the energy! Can’t fault these harnesses. Both my huskies have had several of them. They are very well made, strong, sturdy, durable and look great. Chest and Lower straps are easy to adjust and the D-Ring is very secure. I’ve owned about six of these Harnesses and not one of them has broken. The side strips are Velcro and can also be customised with your dogs name or something else of your choosing but I’ve always left the Julius-K9 strips on. Would definitely recommend.
Great optio We tried a few harnesses as our cocker puppy grew. Most were pretty rubbish and I was glad to get rid as she grew in size. We have now had the Julius for about 6 months and it still looks as good as new. It must be very comfy on the dog as she shows no sign of irritation and in the heat, I dunk it is a cold water bucket to soak up some water and it acts as a cooling jacket for her as well. We also have a proper cooling jacket. The build quality is great. It gets a lot of wear and tear but shows no sign of it.

Stops the big idiot from getting the damn squirrels I love this harness. It made me continue to love my dog.
To sum up: He is a 30kg labrador with tunnel vision for squirrels and tennis balls. I’m a 5 foot 1 woman with limited patience. Some days I may as well just put on roller skates and enjoy the ride. But with this harness, I don’t have to unless I’m feeling particularly carefree.
You have much better control as the harness holds the major pull points and the handle allows you to keep them close if needs be. I now only need to lay my hand on the handle for him to recognise that the titting about is over.
Added bonus: I’ve also used the handle to pull the dope out of a misjudged deep lake. Couldn’t recommend it more highly.
Brilliant in general...needs tweaking. I’ve been buying these harnesses for years…in my opinion the best.
However….
I’ve had some difficulties with our new puppy getting the right fit.
The mini mini is too big…and the Baby 2 which I have here would be perfect except,,,
The way the whole harness is fitted is crucial,,..it’s imperative that the front band sits exactly right round the neck in order that the harness makes the dog weighted in the middle when lifted Via back ring.
It is this feature which sets this harness apart,,,it is terribly practical, and there been many a time when my last dog was airlifted to safety!
So this Baby 2 harness is indeed the right size, but the design flaw lies in that front band, in that it does not allow for enough Adjustment with the Velcro….so once again I’ve had to laboriously sew in extra Velcro so I can get the correct fitting…
So I think the makers of the Julius K 9 harness need to look at other ways to adjust the front band.,.
Otherwise..as previously said…this is the best harness out there, and it gives you unrivalled comfortable control of your dog.

Great suppo
Fantastic quality and wonderful support for my dog in the car. He’d got used to walking just in collar and lead but whenever he’s travelling in the car the harness comes out. He loves it – it means car journeys and it reminds him of he one he had as a pup.
Basically – it’s strong, very sturdy, fits well and both me and my dog are confident with it. I’d recommend. As would my Jazz-dog.
Amazing - My dog no longer pulls!!!
This harness makes taking my dog for a walk a pleasure, instead of “HARD WORK.” I found the harness easy to fit. I have a brilliant lead, light, strong and chew proof. Together these two items are worth there weight in gold. I can enjoy wherever we walk without the dog nearly choking and pulling my arm almost out of it’s socket. She also has so much more time to sniff and walks happily with me. I love the handle on the harness as well. Much easier to control when we decide on a different paths. I only received it yesterday and I am so pleased. Well worth the money. Highly recommended.
Robust and safe control
Had the larger version for our strong active Beagle x Spaniel for years now, so did look at other options for our new Daschund x Beagle puppy is small but like a very small fast tank that is suprisingly strong. It is ideal , others have commented on loose or rubbing, but it is extremely important to fit correctly and find the right balance in length of belly strap vs chest strap, just a few attempts and I can safely lift him with the back handle, without fear of it slipping off and it does not restrict him at all when running full speed off lead. I bought side velcro patches off ebay for a few quid to personalise and it looks great. He is really keen to don it now as it means it’s fun outside time and he appears very comfortable , as well as securely controlled on lead or restrained in the car! Extremely happy

I really liked this product, I’m not a fan of walking my furry friend by the neck and have brought previous make harness which either didn’t fit right or wasn’t sturdy enough!
The handle on the harness is under rated and always thought why! However after my 22kg lab pup (yes pup) fell in the canal and steep sides he couldn’t get out, i lay on the edge and lifted him out by the handle, no way would i of been happy dragging him out by his collar, i mean if i had to, i would! It held his weight comfortably no choking and was perfect after. No harm done!
The velcro branding on the side has been replaced by velcro labels you can get made on ebay for a few quid, has my number on should i lose him! All in all i do love this harness! What i would love to see is maybe a little more padding in the strap that goes around his body (just because i think it would add a little more comfort)
Pup seems happy in it and after my rescue mission, i cant recommend enough!
Where were these when I was growing up?!
Bought a new puppy in 2019 and when we went to dog training almost everyone seemed to have their dogs on a Julius K9 Harness vs connecting the lead to the collar.
It just makes sense and I’ve not used a lead on a collar since. Two years later and the harness still looks like new (after chucking it through the washing machine), really it’s a great quality product.
We’ve just got another new puppy to keep the other dog company and immediately bought another harness.
Really you can’t go wrong, I suspect the harness will outlast your dog. It’s so refreshing to find a modern product that’s priced fairly and built to last.
Fits a 4 month old Labrador Puppy
It’s over ten years since we had a new puppy in the house, noticed these harnesses out on the field and thought we’d give one a go, easy to fit and adjust, he doesn’t appear distressed, always happy to put it on, washes well, and has plenty of room for adjustment so should get a good few months out of it at the rate he’s growing, will definitely get him another when he grows out of it, you won’t be disappointed!
Quality produc
In the last 3 years Our JRT has had several harnesses and they have very quickly worn or broken. On opening this harness I could see it is good quality and sturdy. The wide opening at the front makes it easy for the dog to slip it’s head through. A plus for us as our dog hates things going over his head.
The harness keeps it’s shape well and is easy to do up or undo. Our dog appears to find it comfortable to wear and cannot wriggle out of it.

Handle could be improved but not bad for pedestrian walks
Ordered in august 2020 no issues with it so far. Not very reflective so my dog wears a reflective bandana and has a safety light as well. Handles annoying to grab because it’s Velcro. My dog is long haired, this harness gives her lots of knots. Not suitable for walking fells etc as if you had to grab your dog they’d slip out as it’s only one strap across the front. I have another harness for these situations but just a heads up.your dog could also get out of it if they’re escape artists, mine doesn’t try and is quite happy. Use this one on her for normal pedestrian route walks. Handle is handy for when other dogs approach but again Velcro is unecessary and a hinderance for functionality. Have washed it with no problems. Velcro will catch long fur but not major enough to have to change it just the odd hairs not clumps. Good range of sizes. Easy to put on and off.
Recommend for any puppy owner who wants to keep their pup safe!
The handle on the harness is an excellent feature when I need to quickly bring my puppy to safety. I personally dont like a harness for my dog as it gives her too much strength across her chest which she uses. I use a training lead attached to her harness and her collar to practice lead walking. No pressure on the collar and the ability to use the harness to position her close works for us. The harness is well made, fits well and easy to get on and off. Expensive but certainly worth it.
Great harness
The dog loves this harness and walks taller wearing it. I think she thinks she’s in the special forces with it on, with its military style. She’s not a ‘puller’ anyway, but this does definitely improve her walking to heel, and she seems to find it comfortable. The only downside is that on her first one the D ring corroded and wore through the heavy duty webbing that attaches it to the harness – disapointing in what is otherwise a top quality good looking harness.

Having used several other types of harnesses. The Julius K9 harness is by far a better fit and my dog certainly likes it. The Burgundy colour is great, it stands out but isnt too over powering.
My dog will almost certainly wont be able to remove this harness her self which is a plus especially at the Vets and when around other dogs at the park.
Would recommend measuring your pet thoroughly to ensure the fit is perfect. Size 0 is ideal for smaller dogs up to 56cm
Wanted one of these for ages for my Boarder Terrier and I am so pleased with it. He’s not being tugged on the neck anymore and I’m convinced he feels a little freer going for a walk on his harness. I have washed it in the machine and it comes up like new.

Stops the dog from constantly pulling.
Even though he still pulls occasionally, it is far more controlled than when he used to have a collar.
I can’t say he enjoys wearing it, but it doesn’t bother him once it is on.
I bought the size M/0 which is for dogs 14kg and up, my dog is 15kg and the belly strap was on the smallest setting and still a little slack (he is a very lean Cockerpoo with no belly fat), so I sharrtened the strap and it is now a good fit as described in the instructions. (This would probably invalidate any warranty though!)
Best dog harnesses around
We, the dog and I, love these K9 harnesses. The mini fits our Border Terrier perfectly, she loves wearing it, and walks perfectly with it on. They are well made and have loads of useful features, padding, handle, luminous branding etc. Like any harness they are prone to get pretty dirty underneath on muddy walks but that is not a fault. I have dropped one star because the lead attachement ring has rusted on two harnesses now, and on one this wore through the retaining canvas loop which I have had to replace. Another niggle is the velcro side panels, the corners are really sharp and really do need to be rounded off becasue they are very scratchy on bare legs as they are.

Great product; we’ve had Julius K9 harnesses before. It was slightly larger than we needed, but the dog will grow into it, and we had a smaller size for our other dog, so not a problem – just check dimensions carefully
I’d prefer the rigid handle rather than the flexible one that velcro’s flat out of the way (it’s stitched to the harness firmly; other models have a rigid handle that stays proud of the harness) as the idea is to be able to grab your dog if it needs to be held back (while it learns how to socialise for example). Really pleased. Lost 1 star for ‘stretch’ as, well it doesn’t, so not sure why this is an option; no complaints about the item at all
You and your dog need the Julius K-9 Harness
This is a great harness and our dog loves it.
It has a useful grab handle, so when he sees a cat of a squirrel we can control him easily without hurting his neck.
Greyhounds can go from a standing start to warp factor 8 in the blink of an eye.
One day he saw a cat which we’d not noticed, and our 85lb muscle-packed grey-boy took off like a rocket.
If we’d only had him on a traditional neck collar and lead, he could easily have broken his neck.
However, the Julius K-9 harness easily and comparatively gently took the strain without causing him any harm or damage, except to his pride because he didn’t get to chase the cat he wanted to run after!
Also, we use the welded steel loop to secure him to a seatbelt point when we’re travelling.
He can still move around and be comfortable, but he cannot get into the front seats while remaining as safe as possible in case of a collision.
This harness is ESSENTIAL for all dog owners.

Brought for my English cockers both in size 0. From ordering to delivery was less than a week. For me personally, I wanted to make sure that my boys were comfortable wearing these before heading out on our little walks.
Both boys didn’t seem to mind their harnesses whilst being walked or whilst they were running about. I wholeheartedly believe that these are worth the money. Thank you x
Durable, safe, sturdy - would recommend
Having a large rescue who was described to us as a “puller” and had little walking experience, we decided we needed a durable harness that could stand up to his strength. Knowing that the K9 harnesses were used by professionals, we figured we would give it a try, and I’m glad we did.
Before purchase, the harnesses come with clear and concise instructions to help you find the perfect fit for your companion. The harness was easily adjustable to our dog’s shape once on, and we could adjust it to his form as he lost weight and gained muscle over his time with us. It has durable and strong security clips that are easy to unclip, but durable enough that even when Harry rears and we pull on his handle harness there is no give on that clip.
The harness withstands our treks and hikes through the woods, cleans well, and survives the rain in UK. The interchangeable badges glow in the dark, and provide an extra reflective glow for those later night walks, and are a nice unique little novelty.
Overall this is a great harness. It stands up to pulling. It cleans well. Its durable. It has clear reflective trimming for walking safely. It has a safety handle that can be flattened down and stays down by the attached velcro if this is not of need. The attachment for the leader is a strong metal loop – note if you pull the harness by the leash instead of the harness halt handle, the harness can wrinkle and invert, but will return to normal.
I would recommend this harness.
Go a size up if your dog is the upper end of a measurement.
Feel this product is really secure and no chance of your dog escaping out of it. My dog has managed to slip other harness’s. The handle on the top allows you to support the dog in/out of a car. The ring attachment for the lead is large enough to leave the lead attached while you secure the dog to a seatbelt attachment before detaching the lead so the dog is secured at all times. I have bought 2 sizes because I have 2 dogs both are good fit if you follow the measuring instructions as directed. I bought the mini mini and the mini. Do what the measuring guide says and go a size up if your dog is the upper end of a measurement. You can’t go wrong very adjustable.
A great fit actually!
Bought this for my oversized miniature schnauzer to replace his Perfect Fit harness, which was a perfect fit, but was causing matting under his front legs. My dog HATES all kinds of harnesses so is not overly impressed with this one, but he tolerates it and even has a run around off the lead in the woods, which is a step forward! As the purchaser, I am impressed to be honest. It’s a great fit, the front strap sits well above his shoulder blade, so doesn’t impede his shoulder movement, and after six walks, there has been no matting of his hair (and I’ve checked by running a comb through when we get home). I’ve since bought the car attachment for the odd occasion he rides shotgun with me. Oh, and the grey colour really suits him – well, I think so anyway!

This is a great bit of kit, really sturdy and well made with the bonus of it being easy to put on and having reflective logos and chest strap etc.
It’s a lot beefier than the old soft harness my sprocker had, and he sometimes tries to hide away when he sees it come out the cupboard, once it’s on though, he has no issue at all, and runs around like an idiot to his hearts content.

Harness the energy!
Can’t fault these harnesses. Both my huskies have had several of them. They are very well made, strong, sturdy, durable and look great. Chest and Lower straps are easy to adjust and the D-Ring is very secure. I’ve owned about six of these Harnesses and not one of them has broken. The side strips are Velcro and can also be customised with your dogs name or something else of your choosing but I’ve always left the Julius-K9 strips on. Would definitely recommend.

We tried a few harnesses as our cocker puppy grew. Most were pretty rubbish and I was glad to get rid as she grew in size. We have now had the Julius for about 6 months and it still looks as good as new. It must be very comfy on the dog as she shows no sign of irritation and in the heat, I dunk it is a cold water bucket to soak up some water and it acts as a cooling jacket for her as well. We also have a proper cooling jacket. The build quality is great. It gets a lot of wear and tear but shows no sign of it.

Fewer nylon straps mean less chafing and the dogs are visibly more comfortable in these harnesses for long periods of time than others I’ve tried. The handle on top is also really useful to quickly grab them if necessary when they’re off the lead. I would highly recommend these harnesses; it’s absolutely worth spending the money.

I love this harness. It made me continue to love my dog.
To sum up: He is a 30kg labrador with tunnel vision for squirrels and tennis balls. I’m a 5 foot 1 woman with limited patience. Some days I may as well just put on roller skates and enjoy the ride. But with this harness, I don’t have to unless I’m feeling particularly carefree.
You have much better control as the harness holds the major pull points and the handle allows you to keep them close if needs be. I now only need to lay my hand on the handle for him to recognise that the titting about is over.
Added bonus: I’ve also used the handle to pull the dope out of a misjudged deep lake. Couldn’t recommend it more highly.
I’ve been buying these harnesses for years…in my opinion the best.
However….
I’ve had some difficulties with our new puppy getting the right fit.
The mini mini is too big…and the Baby 2 which I have here would be perfect except,,,
The way the whole harness is fitted is crucial,,..it’s imperative that the front band sits exactly right round the neck in order that the harness makes the dog weighted in the middle when lifted Via back ring.
It is this feature which sets this harness apart,,,it is terribly practical, and there been many a time when my last dog was airlifted to safety!
So this Baby 2 harness is indeed the right size, but the design flaw lies in that front band, in that it does not allow for enough Adjustment with the Velcro….so once again I’ve had to laboriously sew in extra Velcro so I can get the correct fitting…
So I think the makers of the Julius K 9 harness need to look at other ways to adjust the front band.,.
Otherwise..as previously said…this is the best harness out there, and it gives you unrivalled comfortable control of your dog.
