I almost didn’t purchase this rotisserie because of some bad reviews that said it would not turn a heavier item. That’s all bull___t. I put 2 6 pound chickens on it and it never had a problem turning them. Not only that the motor makes no noise when it is turning 12 lbs of chicken. Standing next to it you have to literally look to see if it’s working because you can’t hear the motor. I love this rotisserie and wouldn’t change a thing about it. I waited to right a review until I had used it a dozen times without any problems. Makes great juicy chicken and pork. Again ignore the negative reviews, these people don’t know what they are talking about. This rotisserie is great buy with confidence.
I purchased a used Kamado Joe classic 2 several years ago and the person had a jotisserie and a basket for it too that I purchased along with the smoker. I have done whole chickens, Al Pastor for Tacos, and turkey breasts.
I love the way the meats crisp up and get the slight charring that really adds flavor and visual appeal to your cooks.
I liked the jotisserie so much, I got one for the used 24″ Kamado Joe Big Joe i recently purchase. I’m looking forward to cooking a full size turkey for thanksgiving. The spit looks big enough to cook 2-3 whole chickens at once. It may seem a little pricey at first but it is built well, and the quality of food that you’ll produce is well worth the cost. Look for a video on YouTube for Al Pastor and you’ll be hooked!
Last year I bought several accessories. This one I use the most.
I don’t have a kamado joe (I have a similar kamado style smoker from Vision), but this works great! The rotisserie works very well, and there is minimal smoke/heat loss. Highly recommend.
I’ve only had it for a week and I’ve used it twice. I made a rotisserie chicken, which is among the best things I’ve made on my Joe. Definitely a must have accessory for your kamado.
OK so its not cheap but is very well made, only used twice so far but worked very well with two medium chickens on each time. Cooked perfectly and great flavou
So I decided to do a rotisserie turkey for this year’s Thanksgiving and purchased the KJ Joetissorie. I injected the turkey the night before with melted butter, olive oil, thyme, rosemary and garlic, then dry brined it. I loaded it on the skewer and forks. I tightened them finger tight (a wrong choice).
Halfway through the cook the Turkey moved on the skewer causing the tighter to push up against the frame. I had to reposition the the whole project and use pliers to tighten the set screws. This solved the problem. Rest of the cook went well. Final result was a fantastic turkey!
I have used this twice before reviewing. Both times I did a chicken and both times they came out perfect. Just make sure you center whatever piece of meat you put in it and you will be good to go.
I have other KJ Big Joe accessories (SLO Roller, DoeJoe) and love them, but I waited on the Joetisserie for years. I didn’t see the need. How wrong I was. This is THE accessory to get. Perfectly cooked meat, every time. Combined with a MEATER+ The Joetisserie is the best KJ add on hands down.
This rotiserrie is a total game changer from ho-hum grilling and smoking to high drama! Everyone wants a look and starts drooling as smokey flavors scent the air. Even without seasoning this chicken will taste great, just from the drippings sizzling on the coals! Add a basket if you like wings or veggies. In Hawaii we use this every week!
The Joetisserie is a must have for your ceramic grill. I have a Komodo & used it last night for some Baby Back Ribs. They came out superb! A few weeks ago I cooked the same ribs using the indirect cooking system. They were excellent but the Joetisserie ribs were noticeably better. More flavor & moistness.
Can’t wait to try for Thanksgiving turkey & different roasts.
Best accessory for the Kamado grill, fits big Joe and green egg. Every recipe coming off of the Joetisserie has been a crowd pleaser! Would I purchase it again? YES! YES!
The design makes the lid fit with a perfect seal and $80 less than Lowes and Home Depot. Pop it in, plug in the motor and go. Used for lunch (chicken schwarma) and dinner (whole roasted chicken) on the first day and I think my husband is in love.
I’ve only had the JoeTisserie for a couple of weeks, but it has become a go to tool and really expanded the meats I cook. I’ve done chicken, leg of lamb, and picahna with GREAT results. Really enjoying it.
Having seen comments pro and con about the fitment of the Big Joe JoeTisserie on the XL BGE, I took the chance and made the purchase.
I have to say it is a perfect fit. No gaps and no misalignment of the gasket anywhere. Very happy I bought it.
I was humming and harring about whether to give four or five stars for this due to the price but have settled on five as it is a very well made and well finished product that just works.
It can be a little fiddly putting the spit into the motor, especially sometimes if it is loaded up and heavy with raw meat that you’re trying not to touch whilst also trying not to burn your hands however the results are well worth the faff.
Easy to clean this is my first time no problems if anything come wrong in the future with the motor I will come back and update my review
No complaints. The motor and all parts are well built. Cooked lots of new things rotisserie and feel like a caveman!
I was unsure about this product. Would it fit? I donno about you other Kamado owners, but it fits on my Vision. It is a bit undersized, but still works! I ordered a basket with it and I haven’t regretted the choice yet.
Easy to use and all parts are high quality. Fits my Vision Grills kamado that I bought a Sam’s Club perfectly. If you can put it on the spit, it will come out great. Lot of good usage info on YouTube.
I have to put straps on the lid to make it seal with this but it works good otherwise.
Easily my favorite accessory for my BGE! Fits perfectly. I’ve almost used it weekly. Have cooked wings, veggies, while poultry on it! My wife says I’m in charge of the roasts from now in (and I don’t mind!)
Little pricey but I’m not complaining. This is so fun to use, look at while spinning and of course cooking with it Picked up the only fire basket and cooked wings as the first cook. Incredible. This was installed on my Vision Pro S and fit perfectly – Quite, powerful. Very satisfied with my purchase. Looking forward to future cooks.
Even tho its a Kamado Joe product, it works perfectly with my large Green Egg. Tried it one time and knew immediately that this is a high quality accessory
I love the Joe Tisserie! Is almost silent and turns slowly with no slipping. Great buy!
Love this rotisserie, very well-made, attaches perfectly to the BGE, great for a whole chicken, rib roast, etc.!! Would highly recommend for all Big Green Egg owners!!
After A ton of procrastinating. I decided to just pick one up for my Lifesmart K22 Kamado. I was pleasantly surprised that not only did it fit it seems to be very stable, well-built, and seals fine.
My Kamado’s inner ring is 19 3/8 wide and outer ring is 22 inches wide
This rotisserie fits fine on my 2020 XL big green egg. I read other reviewers say they had trouble getting the lid to close properly thus causing difficulty controlling temperature. I did not have this issue at all. I have been very happy with this rotisserie and would not hesitate to recommend it to anyone. The price is the only negative thing I can comment on.

I purchased this as a Christmas gift for my son in law and he absolutely loves it. Everything he has cooked with it was perfect!!
I’m speechless how easy to use, easy to clean amazing flavors
A must have for a Kamodo Joe Classic 2 18 inches. Easy to operate. Expensive though.

Loved the rotisserie grill. It worked perfectly with my grill. Would highly recommend this product.

It works great and I love to use it for chicken, picanha.
We bought our Big Green Egg used to save money and I was shocked that my husband ordered this $200 attachment! But man oh man did it perform! We’ve only cooked a test prime rib so far, and it was awesome! The fit isn’t exactly perfect and there was a little smoke coming out but it still worked beautifully.
I like that fact I have a rotisserie for my Large Green Egg. Easy to install and use! Just set it on the bottom half of Green Egg, rotate to get the lid sealed. Motor is very quiet and appears well made. My only negative is this was a used device and I could tell this my the smoked colored logo and marks on the spilt. I will keep this unit as it works great!

I had a 32 pound turkey on on it for Thanksgiving. It came out perfec
Another way to cook great food. I recommend buying rotisserie baskets too . Glad I bought it.
Great design, and craftsmanship. This should last for many years to come!
Then why don’t you have one of these? They are a must have for larger KJ ownerssorry KJ Jr. owners. Excellent for rotisserie fowl, or pair this with a basket for wings, fries, beans, etc. Can’t wait to do a turkey, Cornish hens, and a kabob.
Works well for vision brand kamado grill. Fits within the lip evenly. Great for rotisserie chicken!
Works great butt if you want to cook in indirect heat it sits the food to low in the pit and you hit the place sitter under it can not use to much charcoal it will burn everything way to fast. Also if you try a turkey it will hit the fire down below best for small chicken or a basket and kabobs. Small basket with salmon and herbs yum yum

works with large BGE with no problems. food looks impressive while rotating on the spit and tastes just as good
Works excellent in the XL BGE… way over priced… great product no flaws but $200… should be $75 – $100… supply and demand… im keeping mine… recommend you get it if you can afford it otherwise you can definitely live without it until the price comes down… … not a must have nor a necessity but it adds another dimension to your BBQ skills…

Works awesome.. very quite.. arrived quickly.. well worth the purchase.
Excelente calidad, motor silencioso y elementos de muy buena fabricaci
We have the XL BGE, and this fit perfectly. I have only dine Cornish game hens, but will be trying other meats soon.
Oh, and the spits and holders get sparkling clean in the dishwasher.
Thank you!
Only negative is the motor is so quiet I have left it on. Two large chickens were no problem. Works great for brisket and chuck roast too.
Worked great. First thing was chicken wings. No complaints. Fit my large egg no issues
Excellent produit je l’ai install sur un Weber Summit et c’est parfait.
Fit perfectly on Weber Summit !!!
Nice addition and adds versatility to KJ. Sturdy skewer and nice rotation. Cooked ribs, shawarma chicken and roast. Handles varying weighted items very well.
It’s a good rotisserie. However, it is a little small for the Classic I. It fits but I think Kamado Joe could have made it better.
Well made rotisserie. Heavy and nice rod and ends to hold a pork butt or chicken or Turkey. Make sure you balance the meat on rod and not fill the bottom too high with natural charcoal. I love it, it’s worth the money.
For anyone looking for a rotisserie that fits an XL Big Green Egg I can confirm this model fits.

Love it…all I can say….works on the big green egg…that is what I use it o
It took three attempts and three price changes(first attempt was a scam and I received a sound machine instead) (supply was down and price went sky high) to get the Joetisserie but I finally got it. I also got the Napolean basket and am grilling wings now. The motor is super quiet and I can hear the sizzle of the wings as they rotate. I am looking forward to grubbing some wings for lunch.

Easy to use and just fantastic. All joints been cooked on this now.

I bought this for my Weber Summit Charcoal Kamodo with the intention of modifying it down the road (cheaper at Warehouse prices since I’m going to be invalidating the warranty).
Out of the box, it actually works acceptably well even though it does *not* fit as intended. Without modification, the inner lip of the JoeTisserie hits the inner lip of the weber bowl at the rear. I’ve used this a few times as-is without obvious issues. Even though it doesn’t sit right, it seems plenty stable and there aren’t huge air gaps, so temperature control doesn’t appear to be particularly more of an issue than when this is set up on ceramic grills (I believe these setups are inherently less airtight with the spit rod and extra surfaces, so maintaining really low temps would be difficult even when fit as intended to a Big Joe, tho that’s generally not needed for rotisserie IMO).
It *is* possible to modify this product to fit properly if you’re handy. Though I haven’t yet attempted this, I know someone else has done this successfully, and, having studied it, I have a good idea of what’s required. Kamado Joe’s Big Joe and probably most other comparably sized ceramic kamados are at least a half-inch deeper (especially at the back) from the plane from which JoeTisserie hangs. Measured from the bottom of the outer lip, which it hangs on the ring of the grill, the inner lip projects about 1.75 inches down at the back whereas the Weber only has about 1.5 inches of clearance here before it hits the bottom (basically Weber’s built in firebowl).
In other words, you need to remove a little more than a quarter-inch of metal from the inner lip at the very back, progressively less as you work towards the front (only about 1/4 near the rear needs to be touched due to the way the JoeTisserie is angled to fit the hinged lids). The seal, such as it is, is entirely created with the outer lip, so the evenness of the modifications on the inner lip shouldn’t matter much, if at all. The point is to obtain enough clearance so the outer lip can sit flush on the Weber (obviously, taking care to sand and touch up with high temp paint for a more professional-looking result, not to mention avoiding creating an abrasive or potentially finger cutting surface).
Before I saw it, I initially envisioned a more complex task so I thought I’d share this for the benefit of others interested. I was also pleasantly surprised that this isn’t strictly necessary, i.e., it works OK out of the box, though I plan on making this change in a few days (mostly aesthetic + perhaps some small performance advantage).
Edit: I modified this to fit my 24″ Weber kamodo-style grill with a standard Dremel rotary tool and a few cutting disks. As expected, it wasn’t difficult. It took about 1-2 hours of actual work (including applying high temp paint to cover up the cut area). It fits perfectly now.

This is an absolute purchase if you have a Kamado Joe. I have had my Kamado Joe for 3 years and this purchase took my use of my Kamado to another level. Highly recommend this item!
Well made, easy to use and solid. Really pleased with it. I bought it for my Char-Broil Kamander and it’s an excellent fit.

Works awesome!! Wife bought for me for Christmas and did a Christmas 16 lb Prime Rib Roast which turned out amazing. Would strongly recommend this rotisserie.
For those wondering about whether the Joetisserie fits the BGE – they fit perfectly. I bought two Joetisseries, one for a large BGE and one for an XL BGE. They fit the respective Eggs perfectly.
This has made our barbecuing so much fun and now with the ability to use a Rotisserie is icing on the kit. I would definitely purchase this again!
It’s great. I have a Big Green Egg and it fits perfectly. Highly recommended!
So far so good. fit perfect and Napoleon basket work fantastic on wings.
It was a gift for my son & he said it worked great!
Really excellent. Runs off the mains so the rotating spit is good and strong. Can’t fault it.
If you use with a wireless meat thermometer like the Meater you will never over or under cook your bird. It really is a brilliant addition to a Kanado Joe.
If you’re on the fence, just get it. It is worth it.
Questions I had and answered:
On an standard sized KJ (18″) I can get 2 chickens on the skewer….and I’m talking Costco chickens.
No need for a drip pan, but the drippings can flare up a bit increasing your pit temperature….but on fattier cuts like a butt or prime rib.
Only comes with 2 fork assemblies, they are uni-directional. Would be good to have a bidirectional fork for the middle of doing two pieces of meat/poultry, but it’s not critical, one is enough if you get a good stab. Use pliers to torque it up more than finger tight and it’ll hold in place. Also my Weber rotisserie forks work on the skewer if needed….seems standard sized.
Storage is an issue if you do not have a lot of space…..plus the ring gets a little sooty….I just use the box and styrofoam it came in….easy to slip it away somewhere and keeps the soot from getting all over the place.
I am probably going to get the basket for wings and things. Looks pretty slick, but not so sure how easy it will be to clean…..and the storage issue might be a problem. Will have to ponder it.

This accessory has really upped the game on the Kamado joe. I find since I’ve gotten it that most of my cooks have employed this thing. I can cook things at much higher temperatures whilst not over cooking the meat. The flavors have been amazing.
This product did not disappoint! Perfect addition to my Kamado Joe classic. Gives me a whole new grilling frontier to explore — have already made wings, ribs and Thanksgiving turkey. Love it!
Extremely easy to setup and fits perfect on my large BGE.
It will be great to rotiss a boston butt, ribs, chicken, whateve
This thing works great with my big green egg. I use it for chicken, pork butts, small turkeys, even ribs and picanha. I love it because it helps me evenly distribute heat across the piece of meat. The heaviest things I’ve cooked on it are two small butts at the same time. It gave me great crunchy skin and a pretty deep smoke ring while keeping the whole thing very moist on the inside. The rotation helps the meat baste on its own juices is my theory.
Tried it out on a lamb roast the day after it arrived, it fit and worked perfectly. The motor is so quiet you have to watch the spit to see if it’s working. The spit length was fine, no issues with it not staying in the notch like other reviewers noted. There is no counter weight but it didn’t need one.
A lot of questions about whether this will fit different brands, and no one has given a defnitive answer, other than the supplier, who, justifiably doesn’t want to refund purchases, so don’t do that, please.
I have CharGriller Kamado, and I can handle some simple tools. I couldn’t find any details on the Joetisserie dimensions, here, or anywhere else for that matter. So, for any handy person that wants to try, these are the critical measurements, and how I made this work in my Acorn. It works great! I love it. Well made and simple.
The outer diameter is 20.5″, the ring that inserts into the Kamado is 18 11/16″. I used five 8-32 stainless panhead bolts and nuts, with lock washers. After centering the rotisserie on my grill, and making sure the lid bad full contact, I measured the space between the bowl and the inside edge of the Joetisserie and cut the bolts to that length, minus a millimeter(heat expansion). Marked where to drill holes(clear of grill supports). Drilled appropriate holes, attached the bolts and bingo, repeatable secure installation for years of great grilling.
My Acorn grill has an inside diameter of 20″, so Would guess this should work for any similar sized grill with hinge pin in similar location(offset 1.5″). Do NOT buy this if you aren’t going to keep it.

Got our bbq to next level. We have been enjoy this extra for our roast chicken. love it.
Un must pour le Kamado joe. Je suggre le panier rtissoire napoleon 6400 pour utiliser avec.
So much fun to use! We’ve roasted a chicken and a sirloin tip roast so far—AWESOME! The Joetisserie is a great addition to our Kamado Joe Kitchen!
If you have an XL Green Egg you want to buy the Big Joe rotisserie it is the only one that fits
Great texture and flavor on everything you put in this basket! Wings, Potatoes, Filet Chunks, Veggies! I love it…been using it quite a bit. Very large and easy to clean once you soak in soapy warm water for about 30 minutes.
Great tool for BBQ lovers. Just pay attention if you live outside of the US. It comes with a US plug and you have to have an adapter to use it.
I am so glad about this product. it makes so perfect rotisserie with no burns and temperature stay perfect.
Got this for much less than the local BBQ stores, but still expensive for a rotisserie. So many options to use this for. So far with whole chickens it is great. Nice even cooking with a strong but quiet motor. Worth the money to enhance the kamado experience.
