The design of the lock and release of the bowl needs to be revised. I do find it a struggle mounting the bowl and locking it.
Had a Kenwood for 30yrs so this is an upgrade. Generally very happy with new model but it is very heavy & the glass bowl makes it heavier
Will definitely invest in a stainless steel bowl in the future
Good weight so it doesn’t move alot when mixing although if you make 1kg of dough then expect it to move somewhat.
I’ve had no issue with the plastic part on the bottom of the bowl yet, but it seems solid and not likely to snap anytime.

Only had product a few weeks, but it has been as expected so far. Would recommed
I didn’t get exactly what was described on “warehouse” deals. There are missing parts.
I love my mixer, the best thing about it is the splash guard as using a hand held splashes everywhere. My baking has come on in leaps and bounds.
Still in early use so remains to be seen how it will hold up over time. But a great product with all the attachments you could need for baking included. Can support a fairly large amount of dough to knead and has turned out some great stuff so far. Would recommend!
Tip for anyone looking for this to knead dough for bread / cinnamon rolls etc, use a low speed (around speed: 1)
This is a piece of equipment that has speeded up my enjoyment of creating nice and unusual dishes
Because I make my own bread ,this is a boon when it comes to kneading the dough. Have not tried it on cake mixes yet, but I do not see any problems with that.

I bought this because my food processor gets hot kneading bread. This does a great job, is quiet and cool.

It arrived with a glass bowl, which was in several pieces . I have now got metal bowl. Very happy

My wife has had Kenwood chef mixers for 45 years (had 2 in that time). So as this is only the second that gives you some idea of how well they work and last.
Bought this for my wife’s birthday. She loves it! Has made her baking much easier- she now adds all the ingredients to the (very sturdy) glass bowl which comes with the product, clicks it into place and turns it on. Job done. Then she just transfers mixture to the oven. So easy! Plus, it has lots of attachments for when she wants to try something adventurous. There’s even a catalogue of other attachments you can buy for specialised stuff. Really good buy.
I love my mixer, so easy to make bread with the dough hook attachment.
Would have preferred a stainless steel bowl as the glass one is so heavy.
First time I used the mixer the bowl got stuck on the stand. Googled this and it seems to be a common problem with several makes of stand mixers. Finally managed to feel it after much wiggling and some brute force. It is ok now but doesn’t lock into place in the position shown in the instructions but not a problem as it locks into place and unlocks easily now.
If yours gets stuck YouTube have videos showing how to free the bowl!
Thr mixer itself is amazing. Unfortunately the bowl is so heavy we had to pay another 80 pounds to replace it with an aluminium one .
Expensive enough .
I am so glad I made the investment. I really enjoy baking and the kMix makes it even more fun. Can’t do less than 3 egg whites. And the glass bowl is a bit heavy, but you can see the progress of mixing.
Love this mixer,made lemon cake today my first usage of mixer. Easy to use easy clean and sturdy
The mixer works well but there are 2 small problems:
1. It is a bit hard to lock the bowl as per the instructions.
2. When I make a small dough the head of the mixer jump.
Best mixer ever, I already used it 4 times, you can’t have better than this
I used also to make bread the dough comes up very nice and smooth.
Once you have it set up it’s great but if you lock in the bowl firmly you could end up with it stuck. You have to make sure the part attached to the bowl is on tight before locking into the machine or it will end up stuck.
Came with damaged bowl retaining ring looked like it was an intended design. After a couple of uses it
disintegrated sent off for replacement realized the first was actually broken . But it works well
Bought this to replace my old Kenwood that died after 12 years faithful service. Things I love – glass bowl, volume of bowl, range of beaters (bought the spatula one too), range of attachments (bought the mincer), and the over all look of the kMix. This was a definite upgrade for me and it manages volumes of bread and pizza dough with little effort. There’s nothing I dislike about this mixer!
Excellent addition ,i brought this mixer as i like making bread,i did have bread maker they don’t seem to last long.
The machine works perfectly for whatever you make. Wish I’d had one years ago
Fantastic mixer. I’ve had mine nearly 6 months now and have used it to make all sorts of doughs and cakes. The only downside is that I wish I’d got the version with the metal bowl. The included glass one is very heavy and doesn’t really offer much benefit. Really not sure what other people are doing to their bowls to break the plastic ring at the bottom. Mine has been absolutely fine!

This was a present for a family member, who is also a chef, and he is very happy with it.
Great mixer, very easy to use. Only issue is the small flaw in the design. The glass bowl retaining ring breaks easily when locking the glass bowl in place. You cant be too heavy handed, you will need to twist it in place very gently. Kenwood replaced it without quibble within 5 working days. I was told it was common, and the design had been improved on more recent models. It would also not be an issue if you went for the stainless steel bowl rather than glass one.
However, I would still recommend this product highly.

Dislike the heaviness of the mixer and bowl – very clumsy to handle.
So far it does the job, but I imagine I will not get it out to use if a hand mixer would do
the same task..
This was bought as a Christmas present for my husband. He is absolutely delighted with the Kenwood K, and has been put to use from the off.
