KeySmart | Award Winning Key Organizer

THE KEYSMART STORY

In 2012, an engineer named Michael was fed up with his bulky keys. They would jingle every time he moved. They looked messy and disorganized. One day, he sat down in a meeting and yelled out in pain when his keys jabbed him in his back pocket (ouch!)

He knew he needed to create a solution…and fast

After many long nights and several iterations, the KeySmart was born. KeySmart launched on Kickstarter in 2013 where it raised over 13,000 USD the first night and went on to raise 330,000 USD during the campaign, making it one of the most popular products ever launched!

We’ve been eliminating bulky keyrings and freeing up pockets ever since 🙂

Featured on GQ, Lifehacker, Gizmodo, CNET, TechCrunch, and more, KeySmart continues to design innovative products that pack more functionality into less space. It is our mission to make your life easier by constantly inventing and innovating evolutionary everyday products that are simple, compact, and convenient.

The basic logik behind this product is that it makes your keys trackable.
you can keep up to 14 keys in this single product whihc is absolutely amazing.

Was fishing below the high tide mark and for some idiotic reason I removed my keys from my pocket and left them on the rocks.
On returning to my car I realised “no flipping keys”. Using the tile app I found my keys before the advancing tide.
The reason I only gave 4 stars is that sometimes the keyring does not find the phone and the keyring sound is very quiet. I don’t know if you can increase the volume or if you can improve the connection between the keyring and phone, if both of these are possible, then 6 stars.

I’ve had it for a just over month and the battery life has lasted me about a month and functionality is as advertised.

    So far so good

Nice piece of kit and keeps keys tidy. Meant to be for 10 keys though with spacing between keys at each side I do not see how this is possible. It has 3 keys and the holder and there is no more spacers to make space for keys to interlink each other so no idea how this can be for 10 keys unless you have very thin keys the same size as the spacers.

Have put most important 3 keys on there that use most often. Rest will just need to keep on a key ring for now.

Nice but doesn't hold 10 keys.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersIts a good idea and does keep keys organised.
However, people get used to their key rings and the ‘muscle memory effect’ being able to find the right key without looking.
Would suggest taking the key you use most and putting it on the lanyard and not in the folding mechanism – but that sort of defeats the object of the keysmart.
I kept finding I was pressing the torch button when getting a key out, and the torch only has a range of a few inches (yes inches, to find a key-hole).

I can’t fault this and Im very fussy. My husband loves it too. Sadly it broke and had to return without fuss but wasn’t offered a replacement (probably cause Broughton an offer) so had to source one direct from manufacturer after scouring internet for an offer to make it worth the purchase

Great but over priced for what it is. The torch is annoying as I keep catching it when using my keys

I like the simple design, it’s of high quality and seems durable. It’s a bit of a pain to actually turn keys in the lock when attached to the key holder – I’ve attached my most used key to the side to make it easier. Also, the Tile button gets accidentally pressed when you use keys – it could do with a design rethink.
The Tile app is excellent – love the find your keys and phone features!!! I even bought the wife a small one for Christmas.
Good work , it looks very pretty !

This is a superb product for those who have upto 6 flat profile keys and do not want them damaging clothing with the rough profile of the keys or with the locator feature is worried about losing their keys.

Very worth while and the battery on the tracker lasts 4-5 days at least with usual use.

I’ve seen this advertised for months and months, I waited for it to come down to what I considered a reasonable price before purchasing.
I’ve got other tile products, and this was quick and easy to fund and add into the tile app. The only thing I’ve noticed is it doesn’t report how much battery charge it has for some reason, it just explains to charge it regularly.
I found it really fiddly to put together, I’m not convinced I’ve used the right amount of spacers etc but I seem to have made it useable. I’ve got a few funny shaped keys that stick out a bit (ones with a squarish top).
Overall it’s easier than having a big bunch of keys, it’s nice to use, but the torch is more of a gimmick than actually useful as it’s not really that bright and I’d suggest that regular use would require significantly more charging.
The good thing is this charges via micro USB so it’s fairly standard, I think we’ve all got them knocking around the house.

Pretty cool bit of kit. Nice the way it keeps my keys locked away so I don’t have to worry about it ruining my jacket pockets. However, I would have preferred it I think in Aluminium – it feels like plastic will break after a few drops. Time will tell I guess

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersMy partner regularly hides my keys. I dont think she means it, just drops them off somewhere on her travels around the house. This. Is. Great. The little guy sounds super happy when its beeping away wanting to be found. range seems decent, though it wont connect upstairs if im downstairs and vice versa, which in itself doesn’t matter as its easy to tell if its upstairs etc.
Fitting keys on it is a pain, i have 6 keys and that’s plenty for me. I strongly suggest keeping non-essential keys on it, as struggling to pull a key out when dancing for the loo is going to get real boring, real quick.

Does the job really well but you pay the price for the features with the thickness one of the plates

Great idea, nice to have keys with a tile device built in. Feels far less bulky than it looks and the built in flashlight although not bright enough for distance is good enough to find a lock in the dark or your way out of a room in total darkness. If it could be improved the flashlight could be brighter and the keyring point be located on the body of the device so that it doesn’t get caught when opening keys from that side. All in all a good device though that does everything it says it does.

For the love of god buy the blanks that keysmart sell and get your keys cut onto them. The Pro is designed primarily for US keys. The usual Yale keys in the UK are a pig to fit. And get a spare set of spacers. ONCE THAT IS DONE ITS BRILLIANT.
