I looked long and hard for a competitively priced quality tripod that would take the weight of a DSLR and decent zoom lens, and was reasonably portable. This tripod IS ALSO A MONOPOD which is an added bonus as one piece of kit in the field does 2 tasks. It takes a Nikon 70/200 with X2 teleconverter – any more could be a struggle with stability unless you hand stabilise as well. Considering the options I think this is excellent for quality, versatility and price – I am very pleased.

Highly recommend this, it’s relatively lightweight and compact with an over-the-shoulder case that makes it easy to transport. I wanted it because of the ability to switch to a side boom. While that’s never going to be able to support a full size camera, it’s great for overhead videos with a mobile phone mount adapter or a lightweight camera.

That said, my main camera is a 1.5kg Canon DSLR and it’s fully able to support it when used like a standard tripod.

I recently purchased a Mamiya medium format camera and the ball joint is absolutely capable of holding that still (3kg) at any angle, so I’m very impressed

Ok so I have had this for a while now and simply BLOWN away by how good it is. I bought it to film vinyl on my 1210s to then upload to YouTube… not actually done that once. I have however used with a laser on every single DIY job in the house. This is not the cheapest tripod out there…. but I am hugely impressed. It is well worth stepping up a bit on price. NOTHING like it. Incredible options and packs down too into a little bag. Ten stars on this!!

Good for the price regarding features and ease of use, however, I would not recommend for any budding professional photographer. When using the tripod to copy items below, the knob kept coming loose, I would much prefer to see a wing type nut used here as on other parts of this tripod. The quick release also leaves something to be desired, of which also worked loose but luckily only allowed my camera to slide a little. Its a good product for the price.

Very pleased with this tripod nice and compact fits nicely in the side pocket of my backpack especially like the monopod feature that this tripod gives you it’s gives you so many options to getting your pictures I have another tripod which has served me well over the years but it’s a bit big and heavy so having this K&F tripod is going to be so much easier to take on photo shoots

I’ve always disliked tripods as I feel they are restrictive, but this is a great piece of kit! It’s light, it’s easy to set up, the 360 arm is perfect for my needs and it comes in a strong carry case. Highly recommended

What a great bit of kit, the tripod is so versatile and can be set in many different shooting positions safely and securely, I would be interested to see how the K&F Gimbal performs on this tripod, come on K&F send me one out and I will give it a road test and write a full review for you. Highly Recommended

Don’t get me wrong, it does what it says on the tin. And it does it relatively well. However, go make it into a monopod involves more steps than I’m happy with, it should be simpler. Also, with regards to sturdiness – I use it as a tripod to copy negatives.

Now, I know well enough that using a tripod isn’t a good idea in the first place, you should use a copy stand. However, to alleviate the fact that I don’t have a copy stand I use the tripod, and use the hook under the centre column to hang some weights to make it sturdy. The thing is that it doesn’t handle that very well, it’s almost like it becomes springy if you get my drift. So I had to remove weight until I was left with about 2 – 3 Kg, not much at all.

For ‘normal’ use it does the job nicely.

Would I buy it again? No, unfortunately not. I would spend the extra money to get a carbon one, no doubt.

I was really surprised who light it was and has great stability. It ha great height for night photography as it opens to 180cm. So I haven’t had to try and bend down and focus at the same time. don’t like using the rear screen. As it doesn’t move, and you still end up looking through the lens. It look my 5D and a 150×600 lens with no play in it. I also has a hook built in to add more stability

The quick version – this tripod is amazing, get it home and look no further.

The long version – decided to purchase this as an upgrade to an older, lighter and less sturdier tripod that served me well for quite some time, but was rather wobbly in windy weather. The tripod came packaged nicely, so I expect no issues whatsoever with transit.

It comes with a nice carrying case that also features a shoulder strap if you’re into this sort of stuff. Setting it up is quite easy and natural if you’re into photography, but in case you feel unsure about something – it also features a user guide, which is fairly descriptive.

Once extended, the notable features can be easily spotted – nice build quality, smooth rotational head, padded grip on the side for carrying (no more cold hands..), side-extensible arm for some top-down shots (though expect to have to cut on the tripod itself in post as arm is not too long anyway), quite sturdy, fast lock-unlock of legs, leveler on the head..

Overall, I believe the tripod is well worth the money and looking at the build quality I expect it to last for quite some time. 5/5, would totally recommend.

Very impressed with this product, needed a new tripod for ages, it’s light weight, but stable, with quite a few different set ups, making it a very versatile product, not had chance to use it out in the field, though have used it around home, the ball heads are very smooth and feels good when panning. I would highly recommend this tripod, the only reason I gave it 4 stars is because one of the leg locking mechanism is very fiddly, need two hands to release it.

    Great product and versatile

This tripod is a beast! Whilst it may not have the name “Manfrotto” or “3 Legged Thing” all over it, it is more than capable for it’s price point!

Having switched to this from a similarly priced Manfrotto, albeit a much smaller tripod I am initially surprised with the similarly in quality.

Whilst the Manfrotto feels ever so slightly more refined, the K&F blows it out the park with height, versatility and ease of use!

I always found the Manfrotto locking mechanisms very small, fidgety and likely to give me small blisters from repeated adjustment. Whereas the K&F model has comfortably sized levers/screws.

The ability to dettach one leg and use it as a monopod is an excellent addition and the additional grip on this leg is nicely positioned and very comfortable.

The ability to move the main central point to a over the top arm for top down/lay flat is amazing! This creates much more potential, and having all this in ONE tripod is a bonus.

Overall this tripod feels very well built and feels like it will stand the test of time!

There are only three cons I can find!

    – The included bag is not the greatest of materials and the added shoulder strap has plastic vs metal clips. However if your dedicated camera bag has space for a tripod this isn’t an issue.

    – The twist locks on each leg are plastic, however they do feel very strong and not flimsy at all. Being used to aluminium locks on the Manfrotto tripod I noticed this immediately.

    – The springs that hold ratchet locks on each leg tight are a little flimsy, again being used to a different mechanism on the Manfrotto this bares no effect on quality and durability. If anything they are actually easier to release as the spring isn’t extremely stiff!

Who would I recommend this to?

Anyone! This tripod is capable of meeting the needs of all photographers at all levels in my opinion! Whilst it may not be as rugged as some higher end brands, the fact remains that it is of very high quality and packed full of features. 10/10 for me.

    Feature Packed, Compact Beast!

I bought this tripod to use for flatlay photography.

The tripod is not safe or sturdy with a Canon 6D and 24-70m lens. You MUST add a counter weight the other end for this style of photography.

I ended up unscrewing the weight hook at the bottom of the tripod and screwing it into the top horizontal end (see image) to counter weight the camera.

The only issue with moving the weight hook to the horizontal bar is that you cant fold it away without having to unscrew it all again.

I am happy i can make my style of photography work with this, but for the price, i dont think its anything special! The horizontal bar is too short. Also instructions are not great!

I’ve had a few different tripods over the years at different price points but this is by far the best!

Being a wedding and lifestyle photographer I use it in so many different settings and it doesn’t fail! Each leg is individually adjustable meaning no matter the terrain you can make it level and sturdy.

I love that all the connectors move so smoothly and the whole kit is incredibly robust and yet very lightweight. It all folds up neatly into the one bag/case that I’ve shown in the photos.

The top arm can extend to a 90 degree angle which is brilliant for taking photos of flat lays etc without the legs of the tripod being in shot.

Another little extra that I like is a small spirit level on the top connector just so you can make sure everything is level before you attach your camera.

The tripod has a wieght hook underneath for added sturdiness in extreme conditions and one of the legs also detaches to become a monopod!

Overall this tripod is an excellent bit of kit and I have been very impressed with every aspect of it especially at under 100!

So if you’re looking for a reliable and versatile tripod this is the one for you!

    Get it now! Don't hesitate!

Not had it long but it seems sturdy and well made. This is the first tripod I’ve had with a ball type fitting at the head. I must admit I’m not that keen, my camera with a telephoto lens fell forward (pointing to the ground) because I hadn’t tightened it enough. With my old tripod that couldn’t happen. This was my fault though and I’ll have to get used to it. Just to add. With a heavy telephoto lens it’s not so good. When mounted, the ball section is rigid enough but where the top section fits into the platform, it wobbles. So not the ball joint itself but where it’s attached to the platform. This can be tightened I’ve since found, with the provided allen key.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI don’t know what I expected with this really, but having now used it for a while I thought I’d write a review.

First off, it is a reasonable height, folds to a very compact size, is lightweight and fairly sturdy with my Panasonic G9 and even the long 100-300 zoom lens fully extended. It does feel a little rough around the edges in some parts if you compare it to a 300 product, but how can you complain at this price. The Ball-head is good, not brilliant but it does the job. It’s fully arca-swiss compatible and takes my Peak Design capture plates perfectly. And of course you can replace the head if you like.

It comes in a neat bag with the head covered by a velvet bag. One minus point – there is no pocket in the bag to hold the allen key, tripod mount, double connector and small extension tube which are supplied. That means they can be easily lost. I keep them in the velvet bag and leave parts at home unless I think I’ll be using them. The monopod option is great and works well but you will need some of the parts in the bag so again – a pocket would have made it perfect. Then again, you can buy tripod bags separately

This tripod has so many features and functions, and whilst it is a little clumsy and fiddly in how it does them – it does do them! Again, at the price you can’t complain. You can invert the central column for working close to the ground, or swing it perpendicular to the ground for top down product shots. The legs are individually adjustable so even on uneven ground you can get it level. When you clamp the camera into a certain position there is a little movement so you do have to be careful and adjust a couple of times to get the perfect framing – this is a sign of the cheaper product but again it is minor.

I also wanted a travel tripod but to be honest I’m struggling to find one which packs more compactly than this (39cm) or is significantly lighter (1.6Kg – 1638 grams to be precise) even when looking at carbon fibre

Overall, I’d happily stand this up against products twice the price, or even more. A slightly better bag and slightly better ballhead would make this the product of the year for sure.

What I like with this product is you can use it to get a view of the image down below. Very stable and can be turned 360 degrees. It has a carrier bag that you can use to transport the tripod conveniently. Weight wise, you need to consider if you are carrying it for long time as it gets heavy if carried for a while.

I was looking for a tripod to replace my old one, as it was having stability problems. I found this one while searching for one and after looking at the reviews, I decided to give it a try.
Honestly, it’s amazing! It’s a tripod, a monopod, it also has a vertical/horizontal camera holder, weight hook, and the legs can be reversed for better portability. Only downside in this is probably the weight, which is just a bit heavier than usual. However, I think that for the price that is being asked, it’s hard to find something better. It’s pros outweight the cons a lot. I am very satisfied with this product, as it fills every need I had while looking for a new tripod and I recommend it for anyone – begginer or professional!

Very good tripod for your camera!!! I have a Nikon D5200 and it has been alread a good companion for my trip in Australia. Used in windy and dirty situations also used to carry with me along my walks in its case with strap. Very easy to carry and quick to deploy, sill sturdy and able to lock your camera in windy weather. I didn’t use properly the orizzontal boom yet, but I found it very easy to use and very usefull for tutorial on table or for macro photos. The opportunity to loock the camera in a specific position, and still move it in orizzontal way, it’s usefull for pano or wide seen, but also feels like an hydraulic movement as it’s so smooth.

The tripod is compact and lightweight. The mount is plastic which is a shame it would have been nice to have a metal one.

The camera movement is nice and smooth and it has a lot of position. The legs are strong and sturdy. It needs a counterweight when using the overhead and the hook for one isn’t the best.

    Pros
    Nice build quality
easy to adust lefts and head.
    smooth glide.
    light-weight

    Cons

tips easy when using the overhead.

I’ve had this tripod for a couple of months now and have used it in a variety of shoots. For the price, I absolutely cannot fault it!

    – It’s not the lightest tripod in the world but it’s by no means “heavy”.
    – It’s almost infinitely adjustable, which allows it to work well in a huge range of positions. Spend a bit of time getting familiar with all the adjustment points and options and you’ll be set!
    – It’s solid and study enough for long exposures with absolutely no blur. There’s even a hook under the main stem to hang some extra weight if you need the tripod to be truly solid, and if you can afford to lose some height you have the option of spreading the legs much wider (see photos).

Sturdy, versatile, not too heavy - this is a great all-rounder!

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersIt’s not often I just receive a product and want to rush out and write a review but after playing with this tripod for just an hour here I am. While you can’t really call this a cheap tripod as for as camera kit goes this is definitely a value for money item.

From the carry bag to the two all metal 360 panoramic ballheads everything fells solid and well built. The horizontal arm adds tones of flexibility allowing you to switch from portraits, to low leave macros, to smooth panoramic shots and can even fill in for a rail slide in a pinch. It also has a standard threaded mount point under the rubber plug at the far end going options for further mounts.

Switching from Tri to Mono pole is quick and easy but requires a double thread that could be easily lost. I will keep the tread attached and the hook in the bag as I’m more likely to mono pole on a regular bases than require the tripod to be weighted down.

The legs extend and contract quickly enough and the angle locks feel solid. I’m only using mirrorless cameras and fairly light weight lenses but even with an external monitor and LED light also attached it was stable at full extension.

While my kit is for family and fun use only I have two pre-teens who have become aspiring film makers of late and can be heavy handed at time as youngest tend to be. I’m pretty sure this tripod will stand up to everything we require of it and I will be sure to return and update if time and use begins to show short comings. But as it stands I’m very please with my purchase.

As a large proportion of my photography is automotive I was looking for a tripod which as well as allowing the standard style of shots would allow extremely low down angles.

Previously my low down shots have been band held however as I’m experimenting more with night photography I needed the ability to restrain the camera as low as possible angled up and with long exposures this needed to be sturdy.

After looking at a lot of different Tripods I settled on the K&F as the pure versatility appeared to be more than many tripods at triple the price. I was pleasantly surprised upon just how flexible the tripod is, and if you’re prepared to think even further outside the box I was able to mount the camera upside down allowing it to be just millimetres above the ground for the best possible angle.

With the ability to control every aspect of the tripod gives greater flexibility, the ball head and ability to mount the column horizontal or vertically gives a lot of control. I was skeptic all about how far the camera can over hang but providing the camera body is within the limits of the legs your find, and with the ability to hang you kit bag underneath for extra stability I can’t see have any trouble with that aspect. I’ve yet to try the mono-pod mode but imagine that will come in handy in tight places and the fact I’ll always have it with me as it’s part of the tripod is great.

I was really pleased with the included carry case which also includes a strap, a real bonus as my camera bag is messenger style and doesn’t accommodate a tripod so I can just throw it over my shoulder.

This is my first K&F product but will be sure to consider their other products as I grow my accessory collection.

I’ve included a few photos of how I’ve managed to set up the camera on the tripod.

Extremely versatile Tripod suitable for a range of photographers

Nice bit of kit and very versatile. Can be used in a number of ways. Took a little bit of working out at first but works really well. Only concerns are the center piece inside the tightening screw thing has a plastic part which really feels cheap and I thought was actually broken at first because it came out. Also I had a Canon 80d with a 24-70 2.8 lens attached and with this fully extended and my son brushed pass it and it fell over really easily with a heavy lens so be cautious when using this with heavy gear and being away from it at events or around kids ect. Its light weight and folds up really well and I’m sure you will love it for its versatility but build quality could be improved in many ways as latch springs also don’t feel to great when pressing them. Overall great bit of kit for the price of 65 and does the job it’s supposed to. Brilliant if you do macro photography.

My old Manfrotto just broke (it’s been a disappointment generally) so it was time to try something different. I was attracted to this one because you can tilt the central column over by 90 degrees. I do macro photography and this makes it much easier to get the camera just where you want it, even when you’re against a table or need to point the camera straight down. I also like how you can have the legs at different angles — there’s a simple ratchet on each leg and you can splay the legs right out and have your camera nearly at ground level. It’s just tall enough for me when fully extended (I’m 172cm tall).
The damped fluid head rotates really smoothly in two different places. You’d be able to do really nice video pans with this, especially if you have the central column at 90 degrees and use it as a handle.
It’s not especially heavy but when collapsed to be its smallest does feel quite chunky. But it’s easy to carry over your shoulder with the very nice padded carry case. There’s even a velvet pouch to protect the head of a tripod in there. And there’s a sprung hook at the bottom of the column to hang something like a heavy bag to stabilise the tripod.
There are so many features my old tripod didn’t have, like a bubble spirit level, easy conversion to a monopod (you get a small extension tube and an allen key for this), and a quick release plate. I’m starting to be glad the Manfrotto broke!
All the knobs and moving parts operate smoothly. The tripod feels solid and well-engineered and is a pleasure to use. It looks good too.
Any niggles? Hardly. Mine doesn’t stand ‘quite’ straight even with all legs fully extended, though that doesn’t matter because you level the camera at the head. Also, I would have preferred all the adjustment knobs to be wing nuts. Only one is and you realise it’s easier than the others to turn, but it’s no big deal. Oh, and the instructions are terrible.
Overall, I think this is great tripod, the best I’ve used. It’s good value too.

I was looking for an extra tripod. I researched a TON for a good tripod that wouldn’t break the bank but was made of cheap plastic. I stumbled upon this one with good reviews.
Stop reading now and buy it!! It’s so great! It’s good a good weight to it to really re-assure the build quality, the aluminum seems very durable. I haven’t used it extensively yet, but when I have it works well. Easy to extend and collapse and sturdy frame. I was also very interested in the horizontal center column. This feature works quite well and I am pleasantly surprised by that. One can also get the camera away from the legs a bit. I like the fact that the legs go out to just shy of horizontal. One can get the camera close to the ground for macro work is actually on the ground. The rotating bubble is also a nice feature. It is a solid tripod and has no problem holding my Canon with battery grip.
Everything is solid and works well. I’m very comfortable it will hold additional lighting or an umbrella or whatever off the extra threaded outlet for a shaft on the head.
I recommend this tripod as it is very sturdy and easy to manipulate. It is well put together and will hold up for a long time.

Stable, good leveling vials, good controls, sturdy leg locks

This is an excellent value and very versatile tripod. I recently upgraded my camera to much more expensive and much heavier model. I read a couple of reviews on reputable photography sites and done quite a bit of research and comparison before purchasing and haven’t been disappointed by my choice. It has a quality feel and the ball moves very smoothly. I was particularly concerned about the quality of the camera foot plate, but it is well constructed and fits very securely. Even the carry case (something I usually discard) is decent quality and useful. I’m very pleased at how easy it is move the bars to set up at various different angles. I have put together the monopod, just to see how it works and it seems sturdy enough.
Admittedly I have only had the tripod for a couple of weeks, but it has already become a “go to” bit of kit and I am far more inclined to use the tripod than I was with my old one. Extremely happy with this purchase.

his tripod system is an excellent purchase if you are on a low budget but want pro-grade shots from your equipment. it is sturdily built and has a few hidden features like sling undershooting and very low and wide-leg placement. it also has a removable leg for use as a mono pod. this tripod system is great for tabletop overhead filming and is ideal for streamers who want a different angle, I highly recommend this tripod system.

What impresses immediately in thist K&F Concept 60″ Tripod is the quality and the attention to detail, beginning in the sturdy carry bag. The 39 cm tripod can open up to 154 cm. You can use the tripod in countless situations, being very versatile for shooting night shots, taking product shots, macro shots at the ground level, and even using for shooting videos. The tripod is sturdy, tight, but if is very windy it has a stand in the center to add some weight. The head have a plate with easy grip screw, is also very versatile and sturdy, making it easy to level the horizon of the camera without moving its paws, especially usefull in video shooting. Note the excellent rubber paws, non-slip and narrow to achieve stability even on dirt terrain.
The set have a different short central axis that is easy to change in case you don’t need to use the big one that comes assembled.
When i need to put my video camera on tripod, as i use a different plate to use in a gimbal, i put a quick release plate as i show in the picture.

Great value for money. An excellent tripod especially for travel but also for everyday use.

I have used several tripods in the past. But sometimes you seen an amazing feature on a product and just can’t resist buying another one! The additional arm attached to the top of this tripod makes this one unique to my others. This allows the mounting of the camera in a whole new load of ways!! This will really assist my macro photography especially. I am able to mount my camera extended right out from the tripod, at very low and usually awkward positions!
The tripod stand is lightweight but very sturdy, especially if you hang your bag in the middle! This tripod also raises to a very tall height! It really does have every angle sorted!!
    I highly recommend this product.

What an awesome tripod…. these were the words of my brother. I bought it to offer him as a gift cause he is a photographer with 10 years experience and is using Sony A7 III. He is very pleased of a gift, he says that this is a proper tripod that is very useful. You can adjust it in many different ways so you can take the best angle posible. Great on stability, weight and sturdiness. It comes with a very nice carry bag. It’s not that cheap but if my brother has given a very positive feedback for it than i think itms worth the money.

When the package arrived it was so small and light I thought I must’ve ordered the wrong item. Wouldn’t have been the first time. This tripod is excellent value — it is strong, lightweight, easy to manoeuvre and folds down to a very small size. And there is the added bonus of the instructions, which demonstrate a very creative use of the English language. However if you’re interested in this tripod you probably know how it works so you should be happy to regard the instructions as a comedy bonus.

Golden Review Award: 198 From Our UsersK& F concept aluminium tripod with 180 degree tiltover camera head

Summery: Lightweight, sturdy, the tiltover head gives a special feature I wanted.

I own quite a few tripods and camera mounts because I have so many cameras so this one joins my collection for a special reason which I will explain in a short while.

    The model is KF-TM2515T

It has 4 part telescopic legs that extend to a give a maximum tripod height of 6o inches, the legs can be used in 3 different angle positions which is adjusted using the red button at the top of each leg, there is no central connector so each leg angle can be set individually.

The centre column is in 2 parts, the outer part can be height adjusted while the second section can not only be extended vertically but it can also be tilted over 180 degrees, it was this feature that made me decide to add this to my collection, more on that in a while.
As with a lot of tripods you can invert the centre column to allow low level and macro shooting, but the tillable section adds a little extension to give a different view than one bound to the centre, you can even make an ad-hoc slider shot by slowly moving the bar along the centre column.

The tripod head is a standard 3/8 thread panning ball-head type that are found on many of my tripods, I like ball-heads for my smaller cameras. It has an Arca-Swiss type quick release clamp with a bubble for camera levelling.

The tripod is lightweight, strong, it folds down pretty small and comes with a strong looking zipped case with straps so for general purpose use it is great, with the added tilt feature to give some extra creative assistance.

Now the reason I bought this particular tripod..I need to be able to mount 2 cameras on one tripod properly, and this tripod helps me do just that with a little bit of extra kit.
The end of the centre bar has a small plastic cap screwed into it, when taken away a 3/8 thread is revealed, most of my tripod centre column have this, it is usually there to hold the sandbag hook screw. So by using a short 3/8 inch threaded bar and an extra ball-head I can make a double tripod. Fantastic and very useful to save space when shooting.

One leg can also be removed and used with the centre column as a monopod but I already have monopods so I will not be using that feature with this tripod.

Lightweight, sturdy, the tiltover head gives a special feature I wanted.

A bit heavier than I though, but that just means it doesn’t move. Folds down to a very neat size. In hindsight I should have bought the taller one but the main reason I wanted this was to get close to the ground without the camera being upsidedown. For that purpose it’s brilliant.

There are few tripods that offer such versatility as this well constructed, impressive and versatile unit. A must for me is the feature that allows it to be used horizontally which is so useful for macro work. I also like the ability to use part as a monopod. The tripod has some super functions and is easy to adjust and manoeuvre into so many different positions. I am so impressed. It also comes with a sturdy, well made bag to keep it in. I tried a leading photographic store before buying this and they had nothing like it in terms of versatility.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersI was kindly sent this tripod by K&F Concept to review, however this is my honest opinion based on using the tripod for a few shoots in the studio and out on location. First off it comes in a really sturdy bag with both handles and a shoulder strap. Inside is a very well build tripod that is actually a very good weight for aluminium and looks great.

The tripod legs have twist locks that are simple to use and quick the get the legs extended or collapsed. It compacts really nice and small which is ideal for travel or hiking for landscapes. I particularly liked the way the centre column can be raised and then turned 90 degrees to create a horizontal camera support arm. This is super handy for capturing macro, food or small product images .

The tripod is compact, good weight, full of features and at an excellent price point. I honestly think this is an excellent buy for the money should do everything you need and more.

One of the legs can be unscrewed to use as a monopod, this is super handy when working in tight spaces.

So to sum it up, it’s worth every penny, buy it, you will not be disappointed!

Golden Review Award: 12 From Our UsersI’ll start this review with a warning, my reviews are usually pretty long and detailed, but I like to write my reviews in a way that will help other buyers, particularly when buying from relatively unknown or overseas companies.
This was my first purchase from this company and I must say that I am genuinely very impressed. It wasn’t strictly a ‘blind’ purchase because I had the good fortune of finding their company stand at this year’s (2019) Photography Show at the NEC in Birmingham, UK.
Whilst there, I had the opportunity to handle and have a play with a few of their different tripods and lens filters. I then left without making a purchase whilst I mulled over what kit I’d like to upgrade.
I am a keen amateur photographer and so I have a limited budget for my kit and have been ‘making do’ with a cheap tripod that I’ve had for years, and has been subject to far too many repairs over the years, so I decided that it was time for improvements!
I ordered this tripod and it arrived within 2 days and it was really well packaged. Inside the box, I found that the tripod and accessories were contained in a sturdy, but conveniently sized, carry bag with handles. (See photos). The bag contained the tripod with a ball head in a very snazzy, velvety, protective draw string bag. There was also a shoulder strap for the carry bag and a small bag containing adaptors, instructions and an ‘Allen’ key to tighten the tripod legs if necessary.
Upon lifting the tripod out of the bag, it immediately feels solid, robust and clearly great quality. In its fully folded position, the tripod is approximately 15″ long and fits neatly in the carry bag without a struggle! To put the tripod straight to use, you simply pull all 3 legs downwards and the red aluminium locking clips, at the top of each leg, lock the legs in their first position, with the central column fully extended. A simple turn of the rubber coated central locking nut, by hand, allows the central column to drop into its most stable position.
Each of the legs on the tripod have sections which can be quickly and easily extended, and locked into position, by means of a turn of the rubber coated locking nuts at the top of each section.
The red aluminium locking clip, at the top of each leg, can then be used to change the splay of the legs to one of three set positions and beyond. To increase stability, when the legs are extended, the base of the central column has a spring loaded hook fitted that you can hang your camera bag or a weight from for more piece of mind if you need to leave the tripod unattended.
I connected the shoe to the base of Nikon D300 (one of my heavier cameras) and the ball head had absolutely no problem supporting it.
A couple of twists, by hand, of the various locking screws on the head and I was able to extend the central column before rotating it through 90 degrees (see photos). At this point, and purely for the purposes of this review, I left the centre column in its fully extended position with the camera still fitted to it. I was very pleasantly surprised to see that it easily supported the heavy DSLR in this, normally, very unstable position! (see photos).
After returning the centre column back to a vertical position, you just need to unscrew, by hand, the base of the centre column to allow it to be replaced upside down so that your camera can be underslung on the tripod. This is absolutely ideal for macro and pet photography and adds further stability with the camera mounted to it.
One of my favourite features of this tripod is the ability to quickly remove one of the legs so that it can be used as a monopod!! Anything that means that I can carry less kit with me is always a winner, in my view! To do this, simply unscrew the top of the leg, with the convenient rubber hand grip fitted to it, and attach the centre column or head to it using the provided screw adaptor. This is a quick and easy operation and just as quick and easy to reverse.
All in all, I’m absolutely over the moon with this tripod. A lot of thought has clearly gone into its design and it is clearly built to last. Its outstanding quality, and very competitive price, means that this will be just one of many products that I’ll purchase from K&F Concept. I would most definitely recommend this product for photographers, videographers and vloggers alike.

Most important to me is extended horizontal stick, where I can use it for ground shots or shots above certain product. And how small it is when it’s assembled, fits everywhere!

Have this amazing multifunctional tripod for a couple of months and have to admit its very very good! This company had such a great idea of creating such a helpful device! There is no change of quality since I bought this item, works perfectly after 5!months.
    Really happy with my choice!

    Hello guys!
This is my 4th K&F product, i am in love with this company! So far their products proved me that they are good quality.
This tripod in particular is very light, easy to use and STEADY!
The reason I bought it is for its transverse feature, I shoot OVERHEAD food videos and its really helpful! Check the pictures. Besides this why to get a monopod when you have K&F? It has rubber grip, easy to mount, very light! I was checking online for similar products with the same features, well at least double price. Think about this.
What i like the most about this product? Well, the rotation screws, just simply to use and really functional.
I think you can place it anywhere because you can modify the postion of the legs this is why i manage to fit it on the table i am using to film. What you see in the pictures is not actually what I do, I am waiting for my wife to come back from the market with goodies and to start filming. Sorry that I didnt put pictures of the process but its the same thing. I also take pictures of interior, well, used it for a short session like for 30 min and im happy with it, as you can see in the last picture, its amazing how small it can be.
Next K&F product I am going to get……..a backpack!!!
