Really (really) happy with this tap, looks fantastic and I am not sure how I lived so long without an extendable hose tap for sooo long.

Being able to pull the tap out and turn on spray mode is an absolute godsend. Old tap only had stream mode and could not move which resulted in dirt/grime in corners that needed wiped down after washing dishes, can just spray it away these days that results in cleaner sink. In addition, being able to pre spray dirty dashes when finishing dinner results in the dishes being easier to wash later when I finally get off my lazy a** to do them.

I actually struggled with the fitting but this was not necessarily a problem with this tap. Having done DIY bathroom tap changes I figured this would be a walk in the park. It wasn’t! I have a deep sink and zero visibility back there and not enough room to get my hand in and no chance to get a screwdriver up there for a final tightening. So, keep this in mind when buying! After 2 days I got it fitted, ended up having to take the entire sink off (which was glued down) to get the thing fitted. Been using for a month now though and well worth it in the end!

Many of my recent jobs – I like black granite composite kitchen sinks – with black extractor fan – The main feature in kitchen is the water tap / the ones I had been using the past 3-4 years no longer available – I’ve used this one now several times and very pleased and like it / other examples on my Oakgrove cabinets pages on Facebook

Water pressure is alot less than with my previous tap. The retractable hose could do with some magnets to snap it into place as the weight doesn’t quite do it.

Fairly easy to install even with minimal space to work under the counter.

We bought this tap after doing a lot of research as, after many years, we had decided to finally refresh and upgrade our kitchen, and the design of this tap would enhance and complement what we were planning. In comparison with others, the price was another of the reasons we chose it. When it arrived, it was very well packaged and it was obvious that the quality was excellent. When we had a query we wanted to have clarified, the email we sent to the manufacturer was answered very promptly and resolved the matter.

We should have bought one of these years ago, spent way too much money on a sub standard tap system that made our premium kitchen feel cheap. This tap feels premium and installation was simple. Have a professional fitter fit by all means but I’m no expert and found it a dream, a dream for me is any plumbing installation that does not leak or require a visit to the DIY store. It feels well built and solid, the two water functions are useful as well as the pause button. I have no criticism the tap is perfect.

Much better than expected. Solid, well made and easy to install (if you’re a reasonably competent DIYer) I’m properly pleased with it. Great price too. Brushed Nickel looks lovely.

    Exceeded expectations!

I have just installed a water softener and wanted to use this tap to provide unsoftened drinking water and softened hot and cold water rather than using the third tap to connect chilled filtered water from a fridge as it’s meant for. The connection on the tap for this is a 6mm push fit, but I wanted to connect a standard 15mm Speedfit pipe. I couldn’t identify the thread on the tap so I asked the manufacturer what it was but they just came back with “It’s 6mm push fit”. After much searching of the internet for a 6mm to 15mm push adapter, the only one I found was also from Amazon, “American Fridge Pipe Connector 15mm push fit to 6mm push fit adapter”. It’s one of the best eight quids I’ve ever spent. Now that the tap is in and working it’s great, and so much better than having a completely separate tap for your unsoftened water. Highly recommended. Time will tell how reliable it is. There are many similar taps online going for 250 upwards. PS The hot cold mixer bit works really well also.

    Very good value for money

Wanted a black tap for new kitchen. This was perfect, the pull out I was worried might be gimmicky and break but as its weighted it works perfectly, the switch turns it from a tap stream to more of a shower spray which is perfect for cleaning. Definitely recommend

The WENKEN kitchen tap is well packaged and looks like a great quality product even when viewed in the box. It was easy to fit, good solid connectors on each of the flexible hoses and also for the weight to support operation of the extendable hose. When fitted it looks like a high-end and quality product for any home and we are very pleased with it. Definitely recommended!

Purchased back in 2019, to assemble in a rustic kitchen in a new house. We’re being using it on a daily basis for almost a year. It looks great, and works perfectly. The shower handle retracts perfectly, and the feel continues to be sturdy. The cut off button in the handle is a pressure button, so it requires you to keep pressing it to cut the water, but works as expected.

Golden Review Award: 9 From Our UsersI was looking for a black matt mixer tap with an extendable hose, I purchased this one and was very pleased with the purchase. I have low pressure in this house (until I install my pressure pump) and this is always a concern when buying taps, however this tap still gives me enough pressure, especially when the shower function is on.

This tap is very easy to use, it moves smoothly, switches from shower to pour seamlessly and the extendable hose pulls smoothly and goes back into place well with the weight that is located under the sink. This product is very sturdy mounted on my counter top and looks fabulous in my kitchen – I am very happy with this product.

    Pros:
    – looks really good
    – pull down stretch is good
    – switch on nozzle between normal and power spray is great.

    Cons:
    – non that we have found.

    Looks good and works well.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersDuring this lockdown, we have decided to make some changes to our home. Changing the sink and faucet was one of them. We wanted something exactly like this: matt, black, with shower and stretch. The choices are endless and, at first, I was reluctant to think this was going to be any good because of the price. It’s very cheap in comparison to the average. I have been using this tap for nearly a month and I am pleased to say I was COMPLETELY wrong about it. This tap is amazing: sturdy, easy to install, and the pressure is amazing. Our sink is big so having the shower and the hose to reach every corner with easy made a huge difference! We have swapped from a pre-installed tap, from a well known brand that costs 3x more and yet I would recommend this one over the previous without a doubt. Switching between shower and normal flow is so natural and practical. Really recommend it.

Arrived well packaged and on time. Had it installed by a plumber and it seemed straightforward enough. It looks great and the pull out hose is a great addition. You can switch between normal flow and spray easily enough. There’s no pause button which might be handy to have but I’m sure I’ll get used to it. It defaults to the normal flow once it’s turned off which is good as the spray is quite powerful. I have noticed a slight whistling sound from it so I hope it’s nothing to worry about but I will update if it turns out to be a problem. Overall very happy with the tap.

Difficult to install in a twin sink unit. The mounting is very difficult to access to fully tighten between the two sinks but this was apparent for most such taps. A simple, cheap extended tool could be provided as standard tools don’t enable access.

Never had a tap that pulled out before so for me it does what was it intended to do. The product itself is sturdy and well made.
The only thing I would say to a future buyer is this, if you are particular about having the tap control on the side, make sure you have enough room between the sink and the splash back/wall. Because of this we have our tap controls on the front. Also best if your sink is standard or deep.

Purchased for our new kitchen, was twice LESS then kitchen supplies prices! Great tap really nice Matt black finish. Looks stunning with our black sink. Easy to use and love the pull out feature with spray button.
The hot water pressure isn’t Very good, but this wasn’t something I looked at before purchase It’s also a fair distance from the tank which don’t help.
We also had to modify the shelve under the sink to allow the pipe weight to drop & pull the hose back through the tap.
But overall very happy with it and would definitely order again if I needed another.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI fitted the tap today, replacing a 2 year old tap purchased from wickes when I fitted a new kitchen. I was never happy with the old tap, it was difficult to wash food out of the corners of the sink and it was too pressurised and sprayed water everywhere, all over me and the work top.
This new tap is a joy in comparison. The functionality is fantastic and it doesn’t spray water out of the sink. It is a higher quality design than the old tap and it looks far better. It also cost far less. So I’m happy.
It was not easy to fit but that’s plumbing, it’s generally awkward and horrible fitting taps under a sink. Any tap would be the same, it’s not a criticism of the product itself. Get a plumber unless you know what you’re doing. Mine doesn’t appear to be leaking yet……

Golden Review Award: 12 From Our UsersReplaced an IKEA tap, which was a pain to remove. I felt sorry for the kitchen fitter trying to squeeze the wrench into the tiny space.

I was dismayed to discover that the existing flex hose connectors didn’t fit the Wenken, until I checked the package again, and the hoses are provided!

Fitting the Wenken is utterly simple — but please do just follow the instructions step by step to make sure that you get everything done in the right order, as I skipped a step in my excitement, and had to undo everything while shaking my head at my foolishness. It’s hand-tightened so you’ll need a strong grip, and do make sure you get all the washers in the right order. There’s a tiny rubber ring that fits under the tap itself and a larger washer under the sink. The whole design is excellent and really well thought through.

Other reviewers have mentioned the drop weight needing careful positioning, which is true, but this wasn’t an issue for me as the cupboard below the sink is empty and the fall is clear.

The double spray/flow function is very very useful, although the plastic switch is a little imprecise, but that’s the only negative point to it, and in fact occasionally I’ve used it in the midway point to get the “best of both worlds” so I’m making the most of it.

Just bear in mind that the pull hose will spray you in the face until it’s been used once as the water lubricates the ball joint — that’s not mentioned in the instructions! Watch out for that and stand back when you pull it out the first time.

The tap finish is excellent, no sharp edges or defects I could see. It feels sturdy and well made. The pull hose length is adjustable by moving the weight/stopper under the sink up and down the flex pipe.

Update: the first tap I bought developed a faulty switch after 11 months. The replacement arrived with a different valve & hose, but after 11 months it has started slightly dripping from the lever. There are clearly QC issues. I’d still recommend this tap, mainly because it’s such good value. But just be mindful you might have to keep an eye on things.

Excellent quality and supremely easy to fit, but QC issues?

Admittidlty I’m on my third tap now, but have kept with this as the quality is so sturdy. I did have to buy a water pump to increase the pressure of the hot water as it was just a trickle (I was going to get a pump anyway) the whole tap is metal, unlike a rival product I ordered and sent back after spotting the head was plastic. After my 3rd attempt at installing I can now do it an under an hour. I would defiantly recommend especially after spending 3 hours trying to find an alternative, nothing came close to this tap for under 100

The brass retaining nut is very difficult to install under a sink with restricted access. One of the outlet stubs is
positioned close up to the main body and when the retaining nut is presented it is fouled by the stud and tilts the
nut preventing it screwing onto the body.If the stub could be positioned 5mm lower the problem could be solved.
Several frustrating hours were spent under the sink.

Taps are in and working and look good. Beware when installing however – 1.The diagram on the instructions is WRONG. The hot and cold inlets are reversed on it (Guess they had a 50/50 chance!?), which is not major unless like me you want the hot and cold (red/blue) pipes round the right way. 2.Use PTFE tape on when screwing pipes into the tap, otherwise like mine it will probably leak under full pressure. Otherwise installation was very straightforward.

A review for such a product should really be written after a few months of use of the product, however first impressions are very good. It was a very easy diy job to install and the tap looks like its a good enough quality. I fitted it in place of a Grohe kitchen tap which cost way more than this and to be honest I do not see that much of a difference. The Grohe started corroding after less than a year (fixed under warranty) so will see if this fares better. Other than that, pressure is also very good, even from the drinking water nozzle.
Recommended though will update review after 6 months.

Golden Review Award: 6 From Our UsersI don’t usually leave any feed back to any product that I buy. However today I am.
Purchased this product with the plan of having a plumber fit the product. On arrival and inspecting the item I changed my mind as everything I needed was there except for the tools. This mixer was replacing the old worn mixer already on the sink. I knew that the entire job was going to be fiddley from the removal of the waste pipes and the old mixer taps. You also need a second pair of hands to hold the tap when screwing stuff together.
Overall very pleased with the product, well made piece of kit that will last years. Just remember three pipes Hot, Cold and the weighted mixer pipe all have to go through one little small sink hole and then fitted to the already existing pipework and all have to be done up watertight. I am very pleased with this product and proud to have done it myself with a little help from the father in-law.

It was installed by myself with no real issues apart from me being 56 and not as bendy as I used to be in working under the Kitchen Sink lol.
The only recommendation I would give is to make sure there is enough “Drop Space” for the Counterweight to smoothly retract the Extendable Hose.

The lever won’t work loose as with other styles and the spray is brilliant.
We don’t have high pressure so the 2 different settings are very useful.

AND the nickel finish looks good into the bargain.

Golden Review Award: 21 From Our UsersI bought this tap because of the great reviews and I can honestly say they are fully justified. The quality of this tap is top notch and would easily be triple the price if you wandered into a high street DIY retail store.

One thing to note is the size of the tap and especially the height. We have a large kitchen with a large sink so it didn’t look out of place but your mileage may vary.

I’ve never had a tap with a shower nozzle before and the way it retracts is a weight under the sink on the hose. So you will need to make sure you have adequate space underneath. I had to cut a bit off the shelf to allow the weight to freely go up/down.

The tap itself oozes quality and the mixer is great. Our previous ‘mixer’ tap could seemingly only do ‘skin removing hot’ or cold. Nothing inbetween. This one mixes well and we can finally have warm if we want!

I honestly highly recommend this tap!

    Wow!

Easy to install, super smooth to swing and turn on and off. Even the hose comes out nice and smooth at all angles this is not the case for others, believe me. Looks a bit big but I guess that’s my fault for missunderstanding the descriptio

Just had it installed, really nice. Bit of a fiddle to install, the fittings were different to my exsisting plumbing and there was little info on the page which explains this. But we are done and it is great.

I never bought a pull out tap before but this one feels like its good quality. It is beautiful and it was packed very well. Its a heavy tap. It has a gorgeous finish to it. It’s just beautiful. The instructions are OK, pictures are a little small, but it was all very logical. I installed this tap myself and it fit perfectly. Everything on this tap is standard size so it fit perfectly to my existing sink. I installed this tap within an hour and without any leaks. It works very well. The tap handle feels decent, and doesn’t feel too loose or too tight. It has a perfect resistance. I am very happy with the product. I am in Ireland and the tap fits without any special adapters.

    Good quality fantastic produc

Golden Review Award: 7 From Our UsersLovely solid looking tap for the money. Very pleased with it. Got a plumber to fit it and he struggled to get the counter weight that pulls the hose back in to the tap to hang properly. This was because of the crowded nature of the pipe work under my sink but it is something to think about if you are considering this particular type of tap.
It is working fine now and I am delighted with it, it looks very modern and the shower type spray option from the hose is brilliant.

These taps look absolutely amazing and of high quality for the price – my plumber thought I’d paid 200 for them! He couldn’t believe it when I told him what I had paid. No drips, highest quality materials I am thrilled to bits makes my kitchen look really classy

I’m not quite sure how its possible to buy something of this quality for the money. It looks great, works great and seems very solidly designed and built. The tap came well packaged, with all the necessary parts neatly arranged and protected. Extremely happy with my purchase. A joy to use and look at.

I’ve just fitted this as a replacement for a much more expensive Abode filter tap as it would not have costed much less than this to replace the leaking innards of the old tap. The quality seems pretty good and it was well packaged. My only niggle is that the one page instructions incorrectly describe how to fit the tap. They show two threaded bars to attach the tap to the sink and three flexible hoses. In reality, there is one threaded bar which is also the filtered water connection. However, the seller responded very quickly to my query with a picture and explanation.
Overall, I’m very pleased with this purchase.

Golden Review Award: 6 From Our UsersThe tap arrived on time and is extremely well made. Really smooth action and great water flow both fro. Hot and Cold as well as filtered water. I had a question and the customer services team got back to me within an hour with a very clear response. Once I managed to get the old tap off, this tap took only 10 minutes to fit and is excellent. Highly recommended product

2 years on. The tap continues to work perfectly and the finish remains as good as new. This is an excellent and now well tested product!
