I’ve been using my new crutches for a few weeks and have to say they are really amazing, having EDS means normal crutches hrut my wrists and feel very cumbersome, I had looked into smart crutches but thought I’d give these a try as they were cheaper and honestly they are super easy to use and so much better than other crutches I’ve tried, the company are really helpful and they are lightweight and have a wide base making them more stable too! Cannot recommend enough!
I absolutely love these crutches! – I’ve had several operations on my knee over the past few years and I have always struggled with sore hands/wrists when using the standard crutches (I’m not the lightest person!).
I’ve tried various tricks in the past – after my surgery 2 years ago I bought some pretty good gel/grip covers which helped, but eventually nothing stops your hands/wrists from hurting.
However, these completely remove all of that! – I found them very quick/intuitive to start using and (after significant usage) I am still completely pain free – these are just so comfortable to use. Yes, they are a little bulkier than standard crutches (so a little more fiddly getting in/out or a car), but that’s a very small trade-off to not being in pain when using them all the time!
I was just remembering this morning that after previous surgeries I did everything I could to avoid using the crutches (to escape the hand/wrist pain) and so I did a lot more hopping around, which then ended up hurting my good leg/knee/ankle. Now, I am happily using these crutches all of the time!
I bought a pair (the left + right versions), which cost me 158 on Amazon – yes, that is a lot of money, but it was totally worth it and I have zero regrets about spending the money.
Hopefully I won’t need these for much longer, but I will either keep them (for future operations) or see if family/friends could use them – these are much better than any other crutches or walking aids/sticks that I’ve ever seen!

As someone with fibromyalgia I used to find my self rotating between crutches or a walking stick. This product is a great hybrid that doesn’t put a strain on my wrists and helps me stand up better. Only down side is it could be slightly lighter and the price tag is a bit hefty.

I found this a very comfortable crutch which helps ease the presume in my elbow and wrist. The only thing I would advise is some practice at home first.

Absolute game changer in every way. Dont look at the cost its irrelevant considering the comfort & flexibility you will get. I used to put off going out using the old style crutches that hurt my hands my arms my elbows not forgetting bad posture . Yes they take a bit of getting used to but once you’ve mastered them your off. I have mine set high so I’m walking up right no bad stoop no back ache no kneck ache. Very comfortable and am walking further and for longer than I ever did. 2 full hip replacements and was starting to feel the impact on my knees till I changed over. Please treat yourself I promise it will change your mobility. They are a little cumbersome getting them in n out the car but over look that for the benefit of use. For me the higher the setting the more upright the easier the walk & let your forearm take the load. Its cushioned so you dont really feel it. Well worth the investment. I’m over the moon .

Using a normal crutch has made my thumb joint hurt. I have tried other elbow crutches but they are too heavy. I didn’t like the large dia. Foot so have replaced it. My walk with my dog is much improved but at a cost.
Uso muletas hace ms de 10 aos, el dolor en las muecas y en los hombros se estaba volviendo una situacin cotidiana, pero este descubrimiento hizo la diferencia, creo que es la mejor alternativa para personas que usen habitualmente muletas y/o sean activas, desde el mismo da que comenc a usarlas el dolor se redujo y ahora estoy muy conforme con el resultado, ha sido una de las mejores compras y por supuesto espero que ms personas sepan que con estas muletas la vida cambiar mucho, estoy muy agradecido!.
LOVE IT i received my KMlNA walking stick cruch today only used it around the house, but it feels so much better than my normal walking stick. I’ll have to wait and see what it’s like outside. I know it’s a bit expensive, but if it helps me walk better it’s worth it. I have MS and relie on my stick. Very comfortable and easy to use.
The first time I used this one, it seemed strange since it is a totally different concept, but in a few hours I began to notice that it was very comfortable compared to a conventional one. Another aspect that I really liked is its ability to adapt perfectly to your body. It has a regulation with multiple positions, both in height and in the forearm length.
Regarding the shipping and packaging, it arrived on time and perfectly packed, with instructions included.
Something to improve? Yes, you have to assemble it and it would be better to be easier to assemble. Although the assembly is very detailed in the instructions.
Would I buy it again? Yes, it is a great solution to walk faster, safer and with a better body position. If you want to improve your quality of life, they are definitely worth the money!

The product is really good, this was used instead of a walking stick for my elderly grandmother who has hip problems. She was more than pleased with the comfort and stability, in comparison to the regular walking sticks. You can really see the fine quality in the build of the crutch, which also benefits the person with ability to choose the arm they want to use it with. Overall, definitely recommend this for people who seeks comfort and long lasting quality for their everyday use.

franchement, ca a tout chang pour moi. j’avais tres mal sur les bquilles classiques et avait essay d’autres outils comme le knee walker – mais ca faisait mal. Ces bquilles ont t pour moi le plus simple et le moins douloureux !
Le stampelle sono arrivate nei tempi indicati. Facilissime da montare. Ho avuto una seria frattura e per alcuni mesi sono costretto ad usare le stampelle. Dovendo velocemente riprendere la mia attivit lavorativa e dovendo fare strada durante il giorno, ho optato per KMINA. Le stampelle sono leggere, hanno line eleganti e struttura solida. Sono comodissime e permettono di camminare velocemente. Stabilissime grazie all’ampissimo puntale antiscivolo. La struttura e l’ammortizzazione permettono una camminata eretta senza sovraccaricare in maniera eccessiva schiena, spalle e braccia. Non consigliatissime per uso in casa e per chi si deve muovere in spazi molto ristretti. Complessivamente ottimo prodotto.
C’est bien aprs trois ou quatre jours d’utilisation que j’ai trouv le mode le plus efficace de pouvoir me servir de ses bquilles il s’agit d’amener vers le devant du corps et prs du Corps les deux bras selon la photo ci-jointe vous avez ainsi plus de stabilit. Si vous essayez de marcher avec des bquilles immdiatement parallle votre corps vous allez rapidement vous fatiguer il n’y aura pas de bnfices compar des bquilles normal

Having had to use crutches for years on and off, I was not looking forward to going back to my NHS elbow crutches with my current downturn in health. Ein aufrechtes, rckenschonendes Gehen ist mit diesen Krcken gegeben. Auch die groen Standteller sind sehr gut und vermitteln Sicherheit. Ich bin sehr zufrieden damit. Lediglich die Lasche oben knnte noch etwas gepolstert sein, weil sie recht fest ist und manchmal etwas drckt. Und vielleicht knnte man noch am Gewicht arbeiten um das Ganze noch etwas leichter zu machen.
Crutch is better than the usual crutch a lot of people use but if offered I know they would rather use the crutch styled I bought from KMINA, one small thing is the handle but could have option to turn & lock inwardly as I have nerve damage also to thumb & fore finger, just a case of a few more drill holes or that part is detachable & replaced if different angle of hand is needed. Brilliantly designed and appreciated very much. Thank you.

Tengo problemas de columna y de pies crnico. Es la nica muleta que no sobrecarga el cuello ni manos. Un diez.
Unas muletas excelentes a las que hay que adaptarse, con buena estabilidad y ergonoma.

After 30 plus years of using crutches my wrists and arms are complaining. Decided i needed to try something different, did some research and found Kmina crutches. Only just got them and I am slowly getting used to them, they are very different to use than forearm crutches. I really like the spring in the arm rest and the ferrules feel very stable. Overall I love them and will see how they perform long term.
First of the quality of the product is exceptional. Sadly, I had to return it. My husband suffers from involuntary tremors and has therefore a very weak grip. The plastic flap which should keep the crutch in place unfortunately doesn’t work very well if your arms are a bit bigger or you’re wearing a thick coat. Because hubby has such a weak grip his arm kept sliding out and he felt very unsafe and unsteady. I tried it out myself and I really had to hold it very firmly so my arm wouldn’t slide out. Otherwise it was comfortable. But it really needs at least one velcro strap that holds the arm in place. I hope that in the near future we will find a walking aid that will work for my husband.

Te soporta bien el peso sin hacerte dao. Un poco pesada y armatoste. podra ser plegable. La base de apoyo da mucha estabilidad y una vez le cojes el truco es muy cmoda. Un poco subida de precio. Menos mal que solo me hacia falta una.
Les cannes anglaises sont parfaites pour ceux qui n’ont pas d’autres problmes que la remise en tat des membres infrieurs. Mais quand on est g et que les poignets souffrent d’arthrose, on ne peut pas prendre appui sur les cannes anglaises. La canne Kamina achete fait porter le poids du corps sur l’avant bras. L’ensemble est rglable d’o son intrt.

En mi caso no puedo usar muletas normales, y este sistema es justo lo que necesito.
Mal: Carsimas. Codos rojos desde el primer da. Almohadillas no protegen casi nada, yo voy con esponjas. Si eres alto irs encorvado (yo mido 1.90 y he tenido que hacerles ms agujeros en las patas). Las abrazaderas son un incordio, y si vas con abrigo de invierno no te caben. Sensacin de inestabilidad, que con el tiempo te acostumbras.
Ya conoca este tipo de muleta y por eso he vuelto a comprarla.
Un familiar que ya utilizaba una, por desgracia, ahora necesita acompaarse de otra.

+ Me ha sorprendido que nada ms colocrmelas me haya resultado tan fcil caminar, muy estables, y sobretodo que NO DUELEN LAS MUECAS !!!!! Las he comprado por eso, porque con otras muletas me las estaba destrozando (tengo artrosis) y evitaba caminar con ellas recurriendo a la silla de ruedas, con lo cual estaba retrasando mi recuperacin de operacin de tobillo, pero al descubrirlas por internet ya me dieron confianza y espero que con la prctica en la calle me acaben de convencer tanto como en casa, ya que al probarlas realmente no hay punto de comparacin. SON GENIALES !!
– Me result un poco complicado montarlas. El clip no haba manera de encajarlo, y finalmente con un golpecito de martillo se encaj perfectamente !!
– El precio! sobrepasa el de las estndar, y aunque son fuera de lo normal y te evitan el dolor si que el precio se dispara, y dudo que sea accesible para todas las economas. Es una pena, ya que efectivamente el resultado supera su publicidad y su precio puede impedir que muchos pacientes no puedan obtener sus beneficios.

Sono veramente felice per aver trovato le stampelle perfette per me!
Ho un problema alle articolazioni dei gomiti e le canadesi non erano adatte, le ascellari le ho sempre trovate molto scomode, con queste stampelle posso finalmente camminare in modo agevole, stabile e comodissimo, l’impugnatura per le mani morbida e grande, lo spazio per l’avambraccio molto confortevole e sicuro.
In pi hanno una struttura solida e robusta, si vede che il materiale di ottima qualit e che ogni aspetto curato nei minimi dettagli per garantire la massima sicurezza.
Insomma, consiglio vivamente questo prodotto!

They’re a little harder to use than traditional crutches over anything but perfectly flat ground hence the comment about being I bit more tiring, but they cushion the impact on wrists, elbows and shoulders really well and make standing a whole lot more comfortable.

I Googled “alternative crutches” and up came a YouTube video on Kmina. Having watched the video in chronic pain, I decided to invest in a pair.
These crutches have to be bought singularly, left side and right side – two separate orders.
They are shipped from Spain and take about a week to arrive.
At first, these crutches were a little strange to get use to, after having used the NHS ones. This is, in part, because you can move a lot further in one stride.
The standard NHS crutch means putting all the pressure on the the palms of your hands and wrists – this is painful and damaging. By contrast, the Kmina crutches have a totally different approach – all the pressure goes on your forearms and elbows, with the hands used to soley move the crutches. In addition, the forearm cradles are inset with neoprene (a squidgy / foamy substance, similar to memory foam. The handles have thick foam overlays. But that’s not all, because the forearm cradles are also sprung, allowing for shock absorbtion, making the whole experience of use, even more comfortable. It took me a couple of days to get use to them, especially, as I was non weight bearing on my left leg, but when I mastered them, I became more and more confident and very happy I had invested in them.
I’m 6’1″ and my only reservation is that they are not quite tall enough, meaning I have to slightly lean forward when using them. An extra hole, probably would have remedied that. That said, they can be altered to suit most people’s heights.
Assembly is reasonably easy, but you need some finger strength to insert the the curved clips into the holes and you need some dexterity to do it with accuracy (matching the holes).
Assembling the handle tubes into the cradles involves securing a wing nut, which, again, is relatively easy for someone with DIY skills. The wing nuts are plastic and the thread on one of mine was not allowing total tightness, so I bought a packet of them from amazon and refitted the damaged one, which is now perfect.
The bases of the crutches have large, wide spread, circular rubber feet, that afford much more stability than NHS issue crutches. The feet also flex, giving you better grip on surfaces. I’ve used them in the rain as well and stability and grip is unaffected. Standing for longish periods with these crutches is fine, as your arms take the weight, not your hands.
Walking with them can either be partial bearing, or non weight bearing on one leg. You will, of course, move faster, if you non weight bear, as you will propel yourself further distance with each stroke.
As with all steps, you should exercise caution. But these crutches are excellent on steps, as your arms do most of the work.
Strength wise, I’ve not had any issues with these crutches and I find them robust. I weigh 85kgs. The maximum weight permitted is 100kgs on each crutch.
In terms of storage, these crutches take up more space than the NHS ones and so, some thought needs to go into where to stow them in different situations. I find in cafs / restaurants, the floor, under seats / tables is best. On buses and trains, I hold them at 45 degrees.
Are they worth the money? Categorically yes. They’re a God send, compared to NHS issue ones. You’ll also find greater stability on public transport too.
It is quite heavy however and I find myself switching back to normal (nhs!) crutch as I don’t have the strength to use it.
It looks smart and is well made with good suspension. It is expensive but worth it if you have the strength to wield it!

These crutches are brilliant as they spread the load along the whole forearm.
I find them stable, comfortable and easy to use although I am still finding my way.
In some respects they are perhaps a bit cumbersome but the advantages by far exceed any disadvantages.

Las recomendara y de hecho las aconsejo a mis pacientes. Un alivio para las manos y gran invento espaol en un campo (bastones ingleses) en el que desde hace mucho no haba un progreso en diseo.

Un buen invento! Tenia ya la mueca y el hombro fastidiados , y con esta solucionado!!!!!! y me quedan mas de fres meses de muleta .
Llevo unos cuantos aos usando muletas, ests la compre hace ya un par de meses y me han encantado. Si bien es cierto que al principio tienes que adaptarte a ellas, no tardas nada y una vez lo haces compruebas que son las mejores muletas para la gente que las usamos a diario.
Da una sensacin de firmeza y seguridad, algo muy importante en este tipo de productos.
Con relacin al envo y empaquetado, tard 3 das en llegar (con envo econmico) y el empaquetado ms que notable, muy cuidado y todo perfectamente embalado.
Como conclusin, es una inversin con la que he ganado calidad de vida y eso para mi es lo primero y sin duda volvera a comprarlas.
Por ponerles una pega, hay que montarlas, aunque el montaje es sencillo y viene muy detallado en las instrucciones.
