Instructions to fit not as clear as they could be it took me several attempts to connect the wires to the correct points before I got it to work but now works well
This is a tale of three switches. I bought the first one in 2017 and it worked well until it failed at the end of 2021. I ordered another ( No 2) and this never worked, so I requested a replacement.
When the replacement arrived ( No 3 ) it became clear that the second one had been out of the packaging before – probably blown up by the prev user, returned and wrongly put back on the shelf and eventually sent to me.
The third one works great & does exactly what I want. Amazon’s returns procedure seems very easy, so I’ll be sending No 2 back soon.

Excellent. Needs full supply wiring to light though (both earth and live), so you need to be able to access both and feed them to this switch. It is not therefore just a like-for-like replacement of a standard wall switch.

I used this in a windowless room to make sure the light was turned off after the last person had left. Also because the room has no natural light it is always dark when the door is opened and it makes fumbling for a traditional light switch all the more difficult. This unit solves that problem by turning on as soon as you open the door!
Wiring was simple enough but this unit needs a neutral feed so can’t be used in all switch situations unless they happen to have a neutral running in /through.
