Very very sharp, also fragile. These knives work great, but don’t use them near bone, glass or ceramic. I wasn’t thinking and I used one to cut some butter off and it broke my glass butter dish, lesson learned.

I love ceramic knives and for me these are the best of the breed. They stay sharp and make slicing effortless. But they’re very brittle so you can’t use them for anything but slicing and chopping (e.g. prying is strictly a no-no), or for frozen items. For most of my kitchen tasks these days I don’t use any other knives besides this set.

I’ve used and loved these knives for many years. This set has a searated knife for tomatoes and veggies. Simply great choice and perfect for a wedding gift.

First time using a ceremic knife, it was beyond my expectation. The knife is sharp and the packaging was very presentable. If this knife remains sharp after 3-6m use I will be very impressed

I have the hardest time buying my wife a gift because she has jewelry, cars, and whatever she needs and wants. She loves cooking for the family. I bought her this set of knives for her last Christmas and she loves it. These knives are razor sharp and makes cutting soft foods really fast. It is easy to clean! You must handle these knives differently than you do your metal knives. These knives cannot cut hard stuff like bones and you cannot toss them around in your draw. You have to handle them like glass because that is what they are technically. I bought my wife the special holders and sharpener to keep her knives sharp and in perfect condition. They are not as expensive as they were when they first came out.

I got a set of these knives and a day later one had chipped, I hadn’t even used it! So I got a replacement set and those have been fine for a few months now. I really love the look, the handles, and the light weight, but I feel like they have gotten a bit dull already.

These are the real deal and every bit as sharp as advertised. I’ve had quite a few ceramic knives, and they all claim to be razor sharp. These are razor sharp. Expensive, but worth the price if sharp is important to you.

Knives are super sharp. So far they have performed wonderful. With all ceramic knives they are brittle just be careful and not drop or try cutting hard surfaces like bone or frozen mea

This are the sharpest knives I’ve ever had, BUT, they need some care because they are fragile. With this in mind, you will enjoy them every time you use them.

For this price, those knives are pretty good. They are not as sharp as my German knives but the high quality German knives cost 3 times more! We used them during a recent trip and they worked fairly well.

Son unos cuchillos excelentes que cortan de maravilla, aunque hay que ser cuidadoso ya que son delicados ante los golpes. El nico fallo es que no llevan funda individual para proteger el filo cuando se guardan.

Ceramic so they’re safe from heavy metals. Brittle though; don’t try to cut a partially frozen piece of meat as it’s brittle and will break. Sharp as heck; best knives you can buy…especially the Kyocera serrated knives.

I love these knives – they are light weight and very sharp. Caution when using! I broke my old one dropping a pan on it in the sink. You do have to be careful with what you’re cutting, they are not for everything.

I noticed I wanted to use my Kyocera knives any time I’d prepare food. I got tired of searching through my other knives in the drawer to look for these, so I threw out my old knives and bought a second set of these. A great decision.

These are very sharp knives. Be very careful. They make cutting easy, quick work. However, they are delicate and can break if dropped. Read the instructions, Use only wood or plastic cutting boards, In spite of their vulnerabilities, I absolutely love ceramic knives.

Just be careful. These are some very sharp knives. These are also very light indeed and although seem brittle, they are holding up fine so far.

I have this set for myself for years- and just ordered a set to gift a Friend with. — I wish I could find the same in a long serrated bread Knife and a set of steak knives to match and the kitchen Scissors to match at a more reasonable price.

I like these a lot. The one glitch has been that I did not realize how easily the blade could chip. Consequently, I have a couple of small nicks in my chef’s knife. Doesn’t affect how it works, I just wish I would have known to be a little more careful. Get the sheaths for sure.

Have purchased several cheaper ceramic knives. Blades okay but handle failed, etc. As an engineer, I have actually been to Kyocera HQ in Japan. They always make quality products. All the knives are lightweight, sharp, and feel better than steel. The serrated knives are amazing! This is a case where you get what you pay for 🙂

I wanted a good ceramic knife to cut apples in advance for lunches. The mid-size knife works beautifully for that and I’ve found good uses for the other two. Exceeds my expectations.

Extremely sharp, holds the edge, in our experience with daily use for three years (!) without sharpening. The thin blade cuts cleanly through any raw food. Conventional sharpening methods don’t work with ceramic blades. When the knife finally does need sharpening, send it to Kyrocera for sharpening for a nominal fee and it comes back like new.
But, and it’s a significant but, the ceramic blade is stiff, as in not flexible AT ALL. I broke the tip off our six inch chef knife trying to pry out the core of a raw cauliflower. Bought a new one immediately. They’re that good!

I had the 6 inch knife for ten years and it stays the sharpest knife in the drawer.

These knives are an improvement on the Kyocera knives I have loved for about 15 yrs. I did not think that was possible. This set of three includes perfect sizes for household use, including a fabulous serated blade. I highly recommend this set as giftable, too.

I am typing this with out using my left index finger because I had to get 6 sutures in the ER last night after I cut my finger really deep with one of these knives trying to cook dinner last night. The cut was so clean that I don’t think I noticed I had cut myself for a second. A much rougher blade probably would have been more painful. After tasting my blood, the knife still worked incredibly well (so sharp!) to finish cutting up my veggies while I made myself dinner at midnight. In all, I would highly recommend.

p.s. Please be careful if you are like me and used to incredibly dull knives

I really loved my set so I gifted a set to my mom. She loves how it’s easy to cut things without straining on her arms. If you are new to ceramic knives, you’ll need to get used to it, in terms of handling and safe storage to protect the edge. I think the ceramic knife stand is a must have. Definitely not a complete replacement for the steel knives(for few rough jobs) but definitely a great addition to your kitchen if you like cooking at home. It cuts so well so smooth and so satisfying.

I had a ceramic knife that I used for almost 10 years when it finally broke. Until the day it broke, it was still sharp and did not require any sharpening. Hopefully these same ceramic knives from Kyocera upholds the same quality I had. I decided to purchases these more expensive ones because kyocera is a japanese company and they tend to be better quality than others. They came pretty sharp and feels even sharper than my old ceramic knives. It is very lightweight.

Very sharp knives that have been working really well for a couple months. They need a good scrub after use on anything stainable, like red onion or pomegranate- the white blades seem to attract staining. Otherwise they are super easy to care for.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersGod I love these knives! Bought for my wife but she treats her knifes like they were spoons. She is learning… bless her sweet heart that not all knives are the same and how to wash, dry and return to it’s proper place. As opposed to running it through the dishwasher. These are sharp, SHARP! And they will stay sharp for years if treated like the kitchen tool they are. These are for cutting softer foods like vegetables, fruits, meats (No Bones!!) Etc. But oh how sweet it is when your knife slides thru that tomato . Our last Kyocera chef knife lasted 5 years until it met Mr. Bone. A great value and super way to learn what sharp means.

I use these knifes for a few different tasks, cutting tomatoes, lettuce, cabbage, and bagels.
I have an older version of this knife and it does a perfect job on onions; however, after 5 years not so good on overly ripe tomatoes. So I picked up a new to replace the old knife set. I have tried the sharpener without being able to fully restore the blades sharpness.

To keep the blade edge at it’s best, never cut on hard surfaces like glass.

This set makes they perfect gift but keep one set for yourself. Once you’ve used a ceramic knife you will always want one in your kitchen. Kyocera knives are the best IMO. They are very sharp and hold an edge for a long time. I think it’s $10 to send them back to Kyocera to be sharped. Over time you will need to do this. Don’t let anyone try to cut cheese with it, or twist an avocado pit out with it. Obviously a Ceramic knife is more brittle than steel and will break.

These knives are very sharp, stay sharp, clean up in a flash (I do not put them in the dish washer). I have given these as gifts and the recipients love them as well. They also make a wonderful cheese knife that is so much better than any cheese slicer (it sort of has ridges in it). Be careful. These knives are sharp. You are not to use them on anything real hard, but they work on all vegetables, fruits, and any meat we have tried them on. Definitely recommend these knives or any others they make.
