Brilliant gadget, had it about a month now but it is very much a gadget.

I changed from an old nespresso machine that finally died after more than 10 years faithful service. Lavazza coffee just isn’t as nice as the Starbucks pods I’ve been buying for years and they’re more expensive. However a small positive- you can get compostable pods.

If you remember to put a new pod in each time you get your coffee, and leave your mug – then the alexa voice feature is useful. Being able to set a morning routine is genius. (As long as you don’t forget to put a pod in and your mug under!)
I say good morning to Alexa as I’m getting out of bed my lights come on and my coffee is waiting for me by the time I reach the kitchen.

Bad points:
Even the extra hot setting is luke warm.

Customising feature is a bit pointless. You can change the size of your coffee and the temperature (both barely warm) but that is it.
There’s an option for extra bits like syrup on the app but as the machine doesn’t dispense this its pretty useless.

The pod count doesn’t update after each use, so its not brilliantly useful. It’s supposed to alert me when I have 10 pods left. It didn’t.

The amount of coffee dispensed seems to change with each use. I have it set to 7oz. Sometimes I get a full cup, sometimes not.

The used pods box gets full after 6 cups. My nespresso could hold 18 used pods.

When my machine arrived the drip tray hadn’t been finished properly. (Photo 1) The paint has lifted.

After a fortnight of using (with regular cleaning) the clean light came on. I’ve deep cleaned a descale the machine 4/5 times. The light is still on. (Photo 2)

If you have more than one Alexa device in the same room it confuses her. My kitchen is pretty big and the devices are on separate sides of the room but she still can’t decide which device should listen to me.

Over all not a terrible 1st attempt but it needs work.

It is easy to use but the most amazing thing for me is how good the coffee tastes. I am a coffee lover and the quality is really amazing. You can preset size and temperature to your liking. This machine made all the difference compare to the smaller one we had. And you get Alexa included in this one too. You just need the Lavazza app to link to your Alexa account, job done. Now I “talk” to my coffee machine, how about that!

This is one of the best products I have ever purchased from amazon, inbuilt alexa and fantastic tasting coffee, you really need this machine in your life.

What can I say an amazing bit of technology. So easy to set up, you can ask Alexa to make you a coffee and she does instantly. I set up a routine when I say Alexa good morning she turns the bedside lights and radio on and makes me a coffee perfect. You can tell the machine how many pods you have and set auto reorder when your supply drops to a certain level Amazon delivers the pods and updates the pod supply on the machine automatically. The machine has Alexa built in so you can do anything you can do on a standard Alexa, listen to music hear the news and control smart devices. Definitely my Best Buy of 2021.
