Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersSturdily made, comfortable to wear. Broad angle of light, sufficient for general use.
Not tested for water resilience but it does have a micro seal. Light switch very fiddly though. I am using rechargeable batteries now and it lasts well. Good item.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersA decently bright light, good to work by either inside or out.
Casts a more diffused light rather than a beam.
    High, low, flash, off.
Can be angled/tilted on its bracket.
Uses a nine cob single strip bulb, ie. a modern rectangular bulb that’s yellow to look at with nine white dots in it.
Surprisingly easy on the triple A (AAA) batteries.. I get many weeks out of a set using it for ten minutes anyway a day on the lower brightness.
Good idea to have an entire spare lamp in your pocket for when the batteries do go, because using a modern COB bulb when the batteries run out the light just cuts out immediately & usually without warning (rather than dimming more & more until finally dies).
Has a good long, strong & adjustable single elastic strap.
I bought four of these lamps to have in various places & have found them all to be completely reliable & also tough. No problems at all in heavy weather.
    Would buy again.. Thank you.

Great head torches, adjustable and very comfortable to wear. Bought for walking on country roads to feed my horses in the winter. Very bright light which can be angled to suit. I feel a lot more visible to incoming traffic. Excellent product, the twin pack and the cheap price makes it well worth buying. Highly recommend!

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersGood value. Two for the cost of one compared to most others. My wife and I use them to walk our dogs when it’s dark. Not much heavier than the three AAA batteries that power them, their comfortable and don’t flop around. I personally don’t use the dimmer or strobe settings but some people might. They tilt forward easily so you can light the area around your feet and great for leaving both hands free to pick up the dog poop.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersAbsolute bargain. The torch fits well with a robust adjustable elastic. The beam is wide and bright. More of a floodlight than a spot so great for walking off the beaten track. The dimmer option is enough for most uses but certainly can use the full power in forest or rough terrain. The tilt adjustment feels strong. I like the battery option better than rechargeable because I am not disciplined about charging and if it runs out I can just stick some cheap batteries in. Very pleased so far. Can’t say anything about waterproofness but it has a little rubber seal all round and closes with a satisfactory click. So I would say it would be ok. Cheaper than chips and probably better for you. Just buy it.
Update. 2 weeks later. Battery life seems to be neverending! Great buy.

Not had these for long but so far good. Black Friday deal meant that I paid around 3.50 for each ,including batts. As for the light -it`s good but I do not see the need for a strobe function.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersI’m sure I’ve reviewed this already? Excellent value. Great for power cuts. Of which we’ve had many. Excellent for walking home in the dark for country living. No idea about battery life? Both of them still going strong.
Only draw back I’ve had as in the dark the elastic band slid down/ forward and torch bit pinged the bridge of my nose. I’ll be more careful in future. Can be hand held. A very good bright light.

Bought these as our outdoor lights were temperamental and I was also struggling to see when painting some detail. Have used one almost every day since I got them – honestly don’t know how I ever managed without one!

Only downside is there’s only one button so you have to cycle through the settings to turn it off, rather than select a setting plus on/off. This results in a flashing setting being on for a couple of seconds which may not be ideal for some.

It goes through the modes like this: off / on (bright) / on (dim) / on (flashing) / off

We bought these for night walks on holiday and they were bright enough to light our way. Back at home, they have become really useful for ‘close’ work. I use them all the time for sewing/dog grooming ( black dogs are really hard to groom in bad light!)

Great item for the kids, even better that it comes in a pair. We did not want to spend a lot of money as worried the kids would lose them on holidays so this was the perfect choice. It is simple but bright enough and works very well. Thank you

Golden Review Award: 13 From Our UsersI thought it would be prudent to pick these up in anticipation of the much talked-about winter blackouts, and they should prove to be very useful if needed.

The box they arrived in was smaller than anticipated; I thought they might be a little small and flimsy, but this is certainly not the case: the torch unit itself is a little bigger than a matchbox, but extremely well-made. The clasp on the battery bay door is solid, and the hinged light seems strong and robust.

For such a small unit, the luminosity is fantastic: the low-beam setting would easily be strong enough to guide you around the house safely and read a book by (as shown in picture), with the strobe light an excellent plus point if you get lost and want to provide a beacon for emergency services.

Having only worn the torch(es) for a short period of time to ensure they worked, I was surprised by how comfortable they were; the elastic strap grips tightly but softly, and while you can feel the pressure of the torch unit against your forehead, it’s smooth enough that it doesn’t dig in. I’m not sure I’d want to wear one continuously for hours on end, but it certainly won’t be an issue over short periods of time at irregular intervals.

These handy little torches will give you a much-needed element of safety if out jogging or walking to/from work in the early hours, and are something of a must-buy if you’re a cyclist, when they will be worn over a cycling helmet.

Having just bought these, I can’t comment as to battery life, but the low setting is fine if you’re using them around the home during a blackout to help with longevity.

Overall, an absolutely sound investment if you need close-quarters illumination whilst keeping your hands free. Definitely worth the asking price to provide a bit of extra security in a blackout.

One final piece of advice: when you put these on, work from front to back and position the light on your forehead first – that elastic strap has quite a snap to it 🙂

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent piece of kit in an emergency

This is a bargain for 2 head lights
    There feel good quality
The headband adjusts well and fits comfortable
    They are mega bright

Only thing is perhaps something soft on the back of the light and the plastic against ur forehead is quite hard but nothing that a bit of foam and some glue can’t fix

    Very pleased with these.

We bought for my daughter and I while we go caravanning for on the sites

An essential piece of kit for during power cuts and working in low-light conditions. My grandson uses it when working on his car. Well worth the money.

I would have no hesitation in recommending these headlights. I use them for walking at night as well as using them in the workshop. They light up all the dark corners when I’m looking for something. Definitely a 5 star product.

My wife and I have now been for three 45 minute runs with these on, far exceeded my expectations. More than bright enough on completely unlit trails at night. Batteries still fine. I’m carrying spare batteries as I’m expecting them to go soon as only cheap looking batteries bit so far really impressed by these. Can’t see you would want anything more.

I needed a torch to light up outside my house for when the dog goes out at night. Holding a poo bag and a torch isn’t too easy at times.

This item is far brighter than my torch, far more convenient and comfortable to wear. Even if I do look like Wayne Szalinsky.

I also found it very useful when poking around inside my PC looking at the motherboard for markings. Lets me use my phone as a magnifying glasst while being properly illuminated.

The only minor downside so far is having to press the button 2 more times to turn it off. It cycles around / / / .
