Amazing bright, floods the area with a bright white light. Well made, feels good to hold and easy to use. Don’t need another torch, great for dog walking. Charging is very easy to use.

As a surveyor, torch found to be very sturdy but not as bright as other less expensive torches available.
The Ledlenser is an exceptional torch.
Very high build quality, with an exceptional lense unit assembly that combines to give the P7R great zoom capability, which translates to a very nice even flood and spot beam.
The design is very pleasing indeed to hold in the hand and charging is made effortless with the combined magnetic tail-cap charge point that’s also the switch.
No tireless dismantling and re-assembling of the torch each time here when you want to charge the battery; simply magnetically attach the torch to the ingenious tail end charger which can also be attached to a handy cradle which will hold the torch securely in place. The cradle can sit on a table top, or be mounted to a wall.
I like that the charge cable has a magnetic charge point because my experience of micro-USB connector plugs and sockets over the years, is that they are truly useless and often go faulty too easily and way before the device they’re fitted to does. Devices fitted with micro-USB’s can all too often be 100% perfectly functional over time, but become inoperable only because the weak and useless micro-USB design has failed. Suffice to say it’s a relief this torch does not have micro-USB.
A handy charge light ring around the tail end of the torch glows red when charging and turns green when fully charged. This illuminated charge status indicator ring not only looks the part, but can be seen at various angles because the ring is naturally 360 degrees around the body.
Besides the included, battery, magnetic charge cable and included cradle, it also comes with a fantastic holster style case. You really do get quite a lot for your money and all of it shouts quality.
There’s also an industry leading 7 year warranty that other manufacturers just can’t match let alone even get close to (providing you register product with Lenser ASAP after purchase)
This product is truly unbeatable in every department; no wonder it’s been the choice of the Police and other professional occupations for many years.
Ledlenser customer service are also very helpful and were very at-tentative with a recent query I had.
The only reason why my review does not show verified purchase, is because I purchased this torch between 6 and 7 years ago from a Maplin Electronic UK retail store (Which have since closed down). Ledlenser customer services still assisted and helped me with a warranty issue just over 6 years later.
Super bright. 3 stages of brightness. Don’t understand instructions as they are so very vague and totally not understanable. In fact no good at all. But otherwise great torch.

Came in a beautiful black box, with everything inside. Everything as expected, very good torch and premium feeling. Has a safety pouch inside.
Have not had it long enough to comment on battery life, but so far, it has been an excellent purchase.

It may seem an extravagance! But if you want a life saver torch, for work or security purposes? This must be considered! Multiple focalising beam position, super bright beam, narrow beam, long distance. Long life battery, floating dock charge station USB magnetic. Wrist band and belt holder
included, use with confidence! Made in aluminium in sturdy non slip hatching.
That being said, the brightness is good, and seemingly better than other models which claim a higher brightness/range.
So far I’m very pleased with this torch. The build quality seems very good, the adjustable beam works well and it’s very bright. I’ve used it down a country lane in complete darkness and it lit up the road really well for a good distance. I’d happily buy another if need be.
This gets a 5* rating on all levels, I got P17.2 several years ago,I was converted to ledlenser from that point on. The craftsmanship is awesome, and the optics make a noticeable difference to conventional torches. The p7R was no different next day delivery via prime I purchased this as the p17.2 is a 3 x d cell size and a little too heavy for my wild camp bag, that said it’s amazing for a good long night walk with my doberman.The p7R is just a much smaller version with a rechargeable floating(magnetic) dock which comes with some strong 3m sticky pads to attach wherever convenient. All in all it’s a bright little bugger, built well, with a handy land yard and Carry case for belt attachment.if your currently trying to decide if it’s worth shelling out the ‘s for this brand of torch all I can say is you will not regret it. They truly are the doggies doo dars!
Excellent buy, Lens system gives a very even beam which is adjustable. Rechargeable so can always be ready to use. Highly recommended. You will not be disappointed.
Great torch but would’ve preferred a more pin point beam at long distance other than that well made nice in the hand torch recharge is good
Crazy bright can’t see how you would need more. Beam goes a very long way. Well worth the money for the build quality and crazy powerful performance

I am a technician, decent torch is essential, also I have many. This is my go to torch and the magnetic charging unit is its best feature.
I bought this 18650 version to replace my P7 Pro which runs on AAA batteries.
Im actually rather disappointed in the torch… 1,000 Lumens but the throw is absolutely crap! I have found myself back to using my P7 Pro as my main EDC and this one is now my backup! Pretty costly backup torch
I walk my dog early mornings sometimes and late at night…wanted a super bright torch that illuminated my surroundings as my walks take me through total blackness of a wood.Well,I can totally recommened this torch,it’s everything you would want,some would say a little pricey but you get what you pay for.If you’re thinking of buying a torch this is the one.
Very powerful. Easy to charge and lasts a long time, but has to sit in the cradle supplied to do so. Would have been better with a more generic way of charging as you have to keep the cradle handy. Not cheap but when in the middle of nowhere in the pitch black they are perfect.
Bought elsewhere but the same thing…so don’t start Amazon.
No it isn’t expensive. Check out alternatives and you’ll see that most (quality) 18650/ 1000 lumen torches are similarly priced…A cartel? Surely not…in the Uk?…never!
A lot of sniffy rubbish gets talked about on the Flashlight forums regarding Led Lenser. Their products are no different to any others however.
This lamplight is small, bright, and functional. I’ve been through many torches, in a work environment…so I know a little about them. Led lensers are as good as anything else…sometimes good and sometimes not so’… down to a friday build in Beijing no doubt, and operator care comes into it too.
It has good power for walking outdoors and lower settings for close up work ( too much power just reflects back at you and causes eye strain and stress ). Even when walking you don’t need massive oomph to avoid missteps and dog ..er…mess in outdoor darkness. It is handy if you need to find something…anywhere…in the dark.
It does a proper job and does it well. I bought two, for a few pence less…elsewhere, they’re that good.
Fantastic torch and very bright. Love you can have 3 different brightness modes. The strongest mode is too bright for close up work.
Sturdy torch with a good light beam. I also have a cheap torch which is supposed to be 600 lumens which seems to have a similar light beam, so slightly disappointed with the Lenser beam.
The lenser is still bright and a good torch. Battery lasts well and it is quick to charge.
Red light near the base when it’s plugged in but is that fully charged??

Amazing and bright flashlight, fits easy in your pocket or the nice belt holder. I use it much and it takes a beating, but it holds up nicely and doesn’t scratch easily. Definitely my favorite led lenser product i own!
Maybe a little pricey, but the quality and the build on this torch including the light this torch produces is incredible. This is my second Lenser P7R and wouldn’t by any other torch apart from this one, built to last a long time :0) old saying” get what you pay for.
Brought led stuff before but over time the barrel deteriorated and seized due to the salt water and weather conditions which meant I could not change the batteries – hence rechargeable one … looks good so far… I like the weight which means it won’t blow away…. will see how it goes but so far so good

Brilliant torch. Pricey but well worth it. Charging device is great idea and torch is made to last.
Great thorch well worth the money got it in a few days, charge the battery popped it in the torch and away I went, can’t fault it in anyway
The only downside and it’s a minor one, is when I read it could recharge via a USB output, I thought it might have a Micro usb input under a rubber cap. But you can only recharge it using the docking cradle as the concentric rings on the on/off button are the charging contacts. Having said that it, snaps into place on the charger very easily thanks to the magnetic holder and can mount to a wall. You can even remove the charging cap from the cradle and carry that as your USB charging device, meaning that it isn’t much bigger than carrying around a USB cable for the job.
10/10 Best torch I have ever used full stop.
An impressive torch with a very good output. Definitely worth a look if you’re after a good (if pricey) torch. But the general adage of “you get what you pay for” stands good here!
