The family are all still playing this now 2 months after Christmas. Initially bought for the wife, who loved the original on the Gamecube, for Christmas, she has almost completed it but is just trying to find the remaining gems before she fights the final boss. Gameplay is great and the graphics are incredible, the Trex is my favourite. The 2 kids, girl aged 8 and boy almost 10, have both started games on their users and are loving it.
Is great how you can play as one player or you can get someone on another controller and control Goouigi. Which is how the kids live to play.

A great game, packed with plenty of references and details. Only annoying thing is that there is a lot of going back and forth to previous places to move forward. Other than that, a thoroughly enjoyable game!
If you love MARIO, you will love this Luigi game. Once you understand the controls and goals it is an amazing game. One that I keep going back and playing
I’m a big fan of the Luigi’s mansion games and I really enjoyed this one. It’s a pretty laidback experience with a mix of simple puzzles and some action pieces to catch ghosts. There is also gems to find outside of the main story if you want to spend more time exploring.
I really like the introduction of a second character (Gooigi) and that it could be used by player 2 for some coop gaming. Its disappointing that this isn’t available immediately and takes approximately 90 mins playtime to unlock in the story. My kids are determined always to play on their profile so having to get them to the same point in the story in order to play with them, is a bit of a faff.
The game looks and sounds great, with you progressing up floors in a hotel. Each floor has a different theme, including medieval, movie, and garden. Although despite this variety the game does become a bit repetitive.
There are also a selection of short multiplayer modes in the game that can provide a brief distraction. I’m not the biggest fan of the modes provided but note there is paid DLC planned for middle 2020 to expand multiplayer.
The game looks good but I find it hard to fairly judge this as I haven’t played it but my 6 year old finds it quite hard. There are a lot of written instructions to follow as you play the game and it will be challenging for younger ones. This is the first year my daughter has had a switch so my return to update later in the year.

It’s amazing, one of the best I’ve played in many years, my 5 year old son and me are constantly fighting over who’s playing it next. I was worried my 5 year old may struggle with understanding how to play it but he actually told me what to do and we are totally hooked, it’s just all round great gameplay with a great story!
Fantastic game, really enjoyable for kids (6 & 9) and grown ups. Recently completed Legends of Zelda, Link’s Awakening and this is as good if not better. Highly recommended.

Can keep you entertained for a good few hours, but once you’ve finished the main storyline there isn’t really much to do?
I’ve been playing Luigi’s Mansion 3 with my 6 year old son. The game isn’t hugely challenging, we got to the end and beat King Boo with no real issues. The hardest boss is probably the Knight MacFright boss on Floor 6. My son enjoyed it so much we went back and found all the gems and boos. Now we’re playing the Scarescraper online mode, which is a lot of fun but sometimes you have to abandon the game because the other players don’t know how to play, and aren’t playing as a team. Playing as a team is required to open doors with pressure plates, etc.
My Daughter has been enjoying this game over Xmas, it has all the charm and familiarity of a Mario game but with enough new stuff to keep the game fresh and interesting

Great fun so far playing solo or with a buddy in co-op mode. Vibrant, stylised graphics, with some nice touches for those a little longer in the tooth on the film set floor (our favourite so far) which is brilliant. Some great head scratching puzzle challenges for all ages. You don’t necessarily need to have played the previous tiles in the series, as it’s easy pick up and go adventuring. Want to say more, but that would be unfair. What you waiting for!?! Highly recommend.
Great fun, basically you need to explore the mansion in order to find and capture ghosts, gems, and of course Luigis friends. Is simple and easy to play, many puzzles, not easy to find all gems you really need to think about where they can be hidden. Great to make your brain work. You can play alone or have mini games with friends. Interesting concept and great graphics

Luigi is back for an all new adventure as Luigi, Mario, peach and Toad all get invited to a luxurious yet mysterious hotel which of course sounds to good to be true! It turns out is all overun by GHOSTS! All of Luigi’s friends get captured and it is up to you to free them!
First things first the game is acceptional, from the graphics right through to the gripping story telling and hilarious cutscenes once again Nintendo have done it!!
If you have not yet played Luigi’s mansion 1 or 2 there is a small amount of back story but nothing that will stop you from enjoying Luigi’s mansion 3 although if you haven’t played 1 or 2 I suggest you do as they are fantastic games and If you have played them then you will feel right at home with this game, anyway where was I?
Oh yes Luigi and his quest to save Mario and his friends! This time set in a huge mansion! With plenty of collectables and ghosts to catch in a way very similar to ghost busters sucking them up in to Luigi’s secret weapon the poltergust! (A hover).
The game offers many puzzles to solve and we’ll crafted boss fights throughout and I never felt myself get bored of the formula as the game kept giving me new things to do or adding new mechanics to the game such as a goi friend called gooigi! This will explain itself to you when you play the game without spoiling anything.
This is by far one of the most gripping and exciting games I have played this year and it’s very easy to pick up and play for those who would like a nice story, puzzle and entertaining experience.
I highly recommend you pick this game up as it is made for any age group, I wouldn’t say the game is scary but highly entertaining. Welldone Luigi you done it again!! In the best Luigi’s mansion title yet!!
The attention to detail in this game is stunning as are the visuals. You can tell that people who worked on this game absolutely love this property. The controls and fixed camera take some time to get used to, but they do not hinder the gameplay in any way.
I’m around 5 hours in, I’ll keep this concise before I’ve completed LM3.
The game is packed with secrets, a great intro (Reminiscent of SM Sunshine) and excellent animations. Most of the challenge is in the puzzles, one of which were problematic due to inconsistent collisions, however so far they’re been enjoyable and relatively simple.
There’s few moments of actual fear, which Luigi’s Mansion had many of, and the world building is sub-par. However the graphics, framerate and lighting are superb.
There seems to be little value to coins, this affecting personal investment. This game would be perfect for kids or fans of the series. The difficulty is very low, however as prior stated, it’s the atmosphere and puzzles that are the high points.
Really nice for families. Playing together with my partner and we have a lot of fun.
Great levels keeps on going will never get bored and great challenges per level very exciting to play

If you’ve played the previous game you know what to expect. It looks superb and some parts are truly creepy!
Both my 7 and 5 yr olds have no problem playing this and defeating the ghosts. One or two of the bosses required my assistance!
Only downside is unless you use the online co op modes there isn’t a great deal of content to warrant return plays once you have finished.
Once you have found the majority of gems etc on one floor you can pretty much work out where they will be on the others.

I had fairly high expectations because of how it looked in trailers and also how it had been received on launch day(got it the day after)
My expectations were met and it exceeded it, was an extremely fun game.
