The KP0800 has a powerful 620 watt motor to deliver up to 17,000 rpm and 34,000 cpm. The Planer has a two blade cutter head for a smooth finish and fast stock removal.
It features an easy blade setting system for fast blade installation and is equipped with double edge carbide blades for added performance. The KP0800 has a click depth adjustment knob with easy-to-read scale with settings for precise cutting depth adjustment, and lock on button for continuous operation.
Spring loaded stand elevates the base to protect the blades and workpiece, precision machined aluminium base for planing accuracy and rigid die cast aluminium housing with all-ball bearing construction.

L’ho comprata per piallare un tavolo 6 ma x 4 mi. Ha fatto il suo lavoro pi che bene e non ci si deve mettere troppa forza. Io non l’ho usata al massimo, pi o meno a met della rondella dello spessore. Pienamente soddisfatta. Veramente un’ottima prodotto
La mquina parece buena pero le falta el tornillo de la gua paralela.
Y hay que comprar 3 guas paralela si quieres tenerla.

Bought to replace my aged B&D which finally gave up after 30 years service, this Makita is definitely a step up, smooth, powerful and has a fine adjustment range, definitely recommend.
La pialla funziona bene, l’unica cosa, per me importante in quanto lo uso per lavoro, doveva arrivare nella sua valigetta, invece arrivato in un cartone.. Accidenti!

La verdad es que practicamente todas mis herramientas son de Bosch Profesional, pero he quedado encantado con este cepillo Maquita.
Sogar der Geruschpegel ist, dafr das wir ber einen Hobel sprechen, echt in Ordnung. Auch das Kabel ist angemessen lang.
Alles in allem ist der Hobel sehr zu empfehlen.
Eso si, viene sin caja, ni bolsa para la viruta. Hay que sumarle casi 40 euros para ambas cosas

My Father thought me, if you are going to buy a tool get the best one you can afford. I have stuck by that and once again Makita have not disappointed.
I bought this to hang some new doors and I was very impressed. After a little practice on some scrap wood, I now have three doors fitting perfectly. Whilst, yes I could have employed a carpenter to do the job, probably in half the time I took. But now I have the tool to fit all the upstairs doors and I am sure I will use it for many other projects.

Una gozada de herramienta, no saba cunto la necesitaba hasta tenerla! Permite dejar un acabado perfecto en muchos de tus trabajos, y ahorra muchsimo tiempo. Es muy verstil, he terminado usndola para cosas que no pensaba. Y come la madera que da gusto! Le he puesto 3 estrellas en precisin porque el regulador de cunto come no est bien ajustado al cero. Es decir, cuando est a cero en una pieza plana no empieza a cepillar hasta que le subido varios puntos, como a 1 y pico (ahora no recuerdo y no la tengo a mano). De todas maneras no. Es un gran problema ya que lo solamente he de ajustarlo teniendo en cuenta ese desvo y ya, no afecta al cepillado de la madera.

Lediglich das Kabel kommt mal schnell mit dem Messer in Kontakt, wenn man nicht aufpasst. Hier knnte ein steiferer Anfang vom Kabel schon Abhilfe schaffen. Zudem auchvrecht laut. Also einen Gehrschutz tragen!
Daher “nur” 4 von 5 Sternen. Ansonsten aber sehr zu empfehlen.

La use para rebajar unas puertas y va como un avin. La recomiendo 100 %.

Buena mquina, aunque solamente la he usado una vez se nota la calidad del producto. Antes de comprar he mirado las valoraciones de otros clientes y veo que la mayoria son positivas. De todas formas antes de comprarla le pregunt a un carpintero y me dijo que Maquita es la que ms se suele usar en carpinteria. Muy contento con la compra.

Dieser Falzhobel war ein Geschenk fr meinen Sohn.Er hat ihn inzwischen 2mal verwendet und war begeistert.
Macht super gute Arbeit, habe den Kauf nicht bereut, hatte mir auch noch eine Makitabox dazu bestellt, mit den Aufklebern das stimmt leider, etwas zu viel.
Strt mich jetzt nicht so. Knnte man verbessern!

I failed to notice that the blades are wider than the ‘sole’ or bottom. (Whatever you call it).
Now that I know I shan’t use the side as a guide.
What can I say it’s a Makita and usual quality. Came with blade holder to sharpen as well. Only thing noted is calibration on depth of cut. Set it on 1mm and it takes nothing off unless set deeper but seasoned woodpeckers wouldn’t use scale anyway.
Fr meine prv. Bedrfnisse super, wie sich das Gert im proffionellen, tglichen Einsatz schlgt kann ich nicht beurteilen.

Used this to plane down a replacement external door. Easy to use, accurate and robust. Feels like it will last and is well made – Makita seem to make great tools. Delivery was quick and efficient. The price was best I could find – both on line and in store. Overall – a great purchase and a good supplier.
Wrde mir den Hobel wieder kaufen. Mein erster. Braucht etwas bung fr die Feinarbeiten….. Aber was das Teil runterschruppt ist irre. Und die Messer haben eine Stand Zeit die ich bei Hartholz nicht erwartet htte. Viel Spa.

This is a really good little bit of kit which is always ready and willing for whenever you need it.
I would’ve given it 5 stars but it doesn’t come with a dust/chip bag, the chip exhaust gets a bit choked sometimes and resetting the blades can be a bit “trial and error”.
Excellent; made in the UK; with UK plug; it works excellent and is a very comfortable tool.

Es un cepillo de buena calidad, por el precio que tiene ofrece mucha calidad, no es profesional porque cuando quieres cepillar muchos milmetros de una sola vez le cuesta, pero si lo ajustas y lo realizas en dos pasadas consigues el resultado deseado

Ich wollte mir eigentlich die Bosch GHO 26-82 kaufen aber dort heit es in einigen Negativ-Rezensionen, dass die hhenverstellbare Frontplatte schief sei, darum habe ich auf Makita zurckgegriffen. Der Lieferumfang ist allerdings sehr mager, darin ist die Maschine, ein Schlssel und die Betriebsanleitung. Alles andere muss man dann extra dazukaufen, darum ein Stern weniger.
Bis jetzt kann ich das Gert empfehlen.
Looks a sturdy tool as expected as with all Marita products. Can someone help? Obviously I am doing something wrong. Switched it on and tried on a piece of spare wood, no results. What have I missed out? Sorry for being so stupid. Still give it five stars for being Marita. Oops Makita

I have now followed the advice I was given many years old, “you will never regret buying the best tool that you can reasonably afford”. So, although a lot more expensive the Bosch equivalent, I decided on the Makita. I have bought several Makita tools over the last couple of years and found them to be excellent quality, this plane is no exception.
It is well thought out, from the size of the ejector hole (standard 50 mm), through the fine adjustment (in 0.1mm steps) to the flapdown peg at the back which ensures that you do not put it down with the blade still running down and damage a work surface or the blades.
In terms of use, it is a reasonable weight; not so heavy that you will tire easily and still weighty enough to feel solid. Having just done some smoothing of a box with a whole load of dovetails to finish off, I can assure you that this is very easy to handle and very versatile in use.
As other reviewers have mentioned, it does produce a lot of wood chips. You either need to be able to collect via a vacuum extraction (as I said above, a standard 50 mm hole) or have a dust bag. I have opted for both with the vacuum extract on my work bench and the bag for when I am working away.
The only other accessory that you may want to consider is the Makita guide rail. At the time of writing, this was shown out of stock on both the UK and the US Amazon sites; I have managed to order from a specialist tool company separately.
Already I can say this tool is a joy to use and, based on other Makita tools, should stand the test of time.
Highly recommended.

Schade, dass dem MAKITA lediglich eine Lehre zur Messerjustage und ein Schlssel zum Messerwechsel beiliegt. Eine Fhrung beizupacken htte MAKITA wohl nicht gerade pleite gehen lassen aber so bekommt man halt nur einen ziemlich abgenagten Knochen in minimal mglicher Ausstattung. Von beigelegten Ersatzriemen, Schleiflehre fr die Messer, Ersatzkohlen und – antriebsriemen besagtem FERMs wagt man ja nicht mal mehr zu trumen. Schade.
Falzhobel, ja oder nein?
Die hier diskutierte Frage, ob das nun ein Falzhobel sei, lsst sich mit einem klaren Jein beantworten, denn MAKITA spricht im Gertemanual ganz klar von einem Balkenhobel, erlutert aber einige Seiten weiter hinten, dass er mit einer Fhrung, die als Zubehr gesondert erhltlich sei, dann einen Falzhobel ergibt. Maximale Falznuttiefe brigens 9mm.
Achtung FERM Besitzer
Als quasi 1:1 Chinaplunderplagiat passt das Zubehr des FERM- Hobels. So kann ich dessen Fhrungsschiene hier weiterbenutzen. Vielleicht gibt es ja Besitzer dieses Gertes, die mit dem MAKITA hier liebugeln. Also: Nicht gleich alles davon wegpfeffern, wenn man den Hobel hier als Ersatz kauft.

Zum Steckerproblem
Das hier geschilderte “Anschlusteckerhorrorszenario” trifft fr mein Gert nicht zu, da mit fr heimischen Markt blichen Schukozwischenstecker montiert geliefert.
Fazit
Fr das gebotene ein (immer noch) stolzer Preis aber dann dafr auch sehr gute Qualitt, Verarbeitung, wertige Materialien, gute Dokumentation und Ersatzteilversorgung durch diese Marke. Einen beigelegten Anschlag knnte man trotzdem erwarten. Ist ja z.B. bei Oberfrsen, Kreissgen ewtc. auch kein Thema. Deshalb ein Punkt abzug. Anbieter war schnell und korrekt.
EMPFEHLENSWERT
Und, nun zum Wesentlichen: Das Ding hobelt was weg, so wie es soll. Es luft sehr vibritionsarm, lsst sich dank Federrmchen sicher abstellen, ohne die Werkbank anzuhobeln und auch der Werkzeugwechsel geht schnell und przise. Wrde ich jederzeit wieder genau so kaufen, alles gut aber nichts fr Menschen, die besser keinen Hobel in ihre Finger bekommen … 😉
