Marmot was founded in 1974 in Wyoming by Eric Reynolds and Dave Huntley, two students of the University Santa Cruz of California and mountain fans who started producing prototypes of down products in their college residence. Marmot has grown fairly since our humble beginnings in 1974, but one thing hasn’t changed – our commitment to developing the product of highest performance and quality.
