An amazing product for kids! My two kids, three and two plays with it all the time and they can have one side each and don’t have to argue about who’s doing what. Also brilliant when they have friends over to play as it’s plenty of room for everyone to paint. All the kids loves it! Can’t recomens this enough’
Lovely easel although I think the white board could be a bit better quality for the price. Black board is brilliant. Great height & nice storage for paints, chalk & markers. You will need some whiteboard cleaner…
A nice product but the pen did not work at all and the chalks were broken into pieces that were too small to use.
They have thought of everything. My two boys fight about everything…so this solves the issue…both sides can be used simultaneously and it can be folded away easily. Great product and with the extra cost in my opinion.
Brill paint brushes. Chunky enough for baby to hold. Also excellent quality which will last a long time!

It is big when folded put but we have put ours against a wall with just the chalk board side showing and it works great. Would recommend.
The best brushes. The round-shaped handle makes easy for toddlers to manoeuvre them and helps with the grasp.
Very easy to clean after use and they dry quickly. Very pleased.

Was bought as a birthday present for 5 year old. Great and well thought out product. The fact that is has 2 sides means we can have both children use it at the same time without fights. The trays are large and useful for storing paints, chalk etc. The versatility of having a chalk, white board and painting easel all in one cannot be understated. Well make and sturdy with adjustment to accommodate growing kids. Looked at many but this one was clear winner.
As with all Melissa & Doug products this doesn’t disappoint. Very versatile children’s easel with very attractive bright, colourful design.
Got it for less than 30 GBP, so it was a bargain. Now it’s 60 GBP and I would still buy it after seeing the board in real life. It’s sturdy, has colorful details and was very easy and quick to build. If there is something I would change is the paper roller holder – replacing those rolls could have been easier. But it’s not that big of a deal as you don’t change them too often.
Great product, great price, kids are happy. This is also a non porous board so you can use chalk pens on it. Ordered accessories separately just pots to get now.
Already in use by my grand daughter. It was bought for use with the easel made by the same company. I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the materials contained in the larger than expected box. My daughter was really pleased with the roll of paper and the clever tops on the paint pots. The main top stops the paint being accidentally spilt whilst there is also a cover for each paint pot to stop the paint drying out between creative sessions.
Good value and a useful variety of materials to keep playtime interesting.

Purchased for 4 year old Grandaughter for Christmas 2016. Came in good time and box seems undamaged. It’s a big box if have keep hidden for a surprise.. wrapped and stored in th garage until santa has been.
A fantastic buy! I’d recommend it to every parent that has a budding artist and many play dates.
Also, it has a chalk board for the extra homework support and spelling exercises, making learning fun and playful.
This is a very good quality product and it has lasted for years. Note that it does not fold flat after assembly and the four paper clips have a limited life span.
Bought this for my then 2 year old & it’s excellent. Height adjustable so grows with her & sturdy enough to withstand multiple kids having a go. Can be folded for storage, but ours stays up & the bright colours and build quality means its a nice addition to our living space.
My granddaughter,aged 8yrs, loved it. can be adjusted even higher so she will easily be able to use it for a good few years yet! easy to put up. i had bought one previously for another grandchild. lovely big whiteboard too
Bought for my two year old to help him learn to paint and write, the bulbous handle make it easy for him to grip and design his works of art. I think he mastered impressionist. I haven’t a clue what he has done, just looks a mess to me!
This is a brilliant product – not cheap, but well made and worth it. My grandsons love it and use it regularly. I would highly recommend it.
Great brushes for our 14 month old. They’re very lightweight as the handles are hollow plastic. Sure they’ll see plenty of use.

Although I have given this 5 stars , having seen other much cheaper models which would have done the same job, I feel that the price I paid was extortionate. Good but far too expensive.

Lovely set that I bought when purchasing the easel! paints are lovely bright colours, paintbrushes are nice to use and the roll of paper came in very handy!!
Our four year old granddaughter is delighted with the easel. Her two year old sister is also able to reach to draw on the other side! It should last for many years because of the inbuilt height adjustments. It was well packaged on arrival. The assembly took some time to complete and two people were needed at various stages of the assembly. Its weight makes the easel very stable.
These fit the Melissa & Doug Spill Proof Paint Cups perfectly. They are easy for my daughter to handle – nice and chunky. 1 star docked as the plastic handles feel a bit cheap.
We had some issues with assembly with the easel as it was not aligning as it should. After being sent a new from amazon, we contacted Melissa and Doug Directly and there had been an error with the instructions and numbered stickers had been placed on the wrong parts of the easel. We were able to resolve the issues over the telephone with the product design team and were sent a lovely gift package from Melissa and Doug as an apology. The easel is perfect as my 3 and 5 year old use this but is suitable for older kids also.
Sturdy Easel, but needed two people to assemble as it was a bit fiddly in the final stages. Bought as Christmas present for an excited three year old, who had to wait for the easel’s assembly – recommend putting together first and then presenting it with a cover rather than boxed and wrapped! Bought with the Accessory Set and Dry-Erase Marker Set which meant the easel could be used immediately (so make sure you are ready for the hours of painting that follow and set up in the morning!!) Our Grandaughter loves her easel, a Christmas present. She’s not yet 3 but the height adjustment allows her to use it with ease, and should last many more years of growth. It would have been 5 stars but the instructions were very misleading. Number/lettering on the pieces didn’t match with diagrams and pictures on the box, but we got there in the end.
A great quality easel. Made of a wood frame rather than plastic, so looks great, but has been marked with pens/paints. One side is a chalk board and the other a white board, in the middle is a roll of paper that you can pull over the white board side, there are some clips to keep the paper in place. We’ve had this nearly a year now and my three year old uses it nearly every day, so although it takes up quite a lot of room, I feel it has been a great buy. The only slight downside is that the White board stains really easily. We have overcome this by using a damp cloth or wimps to clean it. The Melissa and Doug pens in the accessory set were awful for stains but the replacement ones are not much better, which is why I think it’s the board rather than the pens.
Fast delivery with Prime. Easy ( really) to assemble and I hate that part. Took twenty minutes without male assistance whatsoever ( go me!). Good quality, sturdy and just the ticket.

Goes great with the Melissa and Doug easel. The brushes and pots make a nice set and look very attractive together. Took one star off because the paint could have been easier to wash out (had to give my son a bath even after washing his hands for ages in order to get it all out) and the colours were a bit muted once dried. Other than that it’s all great and we can buy different paint so that’s not a major issue.
When we first opened box we were a bit shocked at how many pieces there were. However it was quite simple to construct and very sturdy. A second rod for the paper roll would be useful so that we can store the constant flow of creativity without removing it from the easel.

Thought price was a bit high when buying and still think so though I must say I’m quite pleased with the quality and ease of assembly. No regrets but think it’s definitely overpriced.

I bought this to accompany the Melissa and Doug Deluxe Easel- the paint containers fit perfectly, and the seal close lids on them allow for paints to be sealed and stored, without the waste and faff of cleaning them at each use.
The easel paper is of a good weight and bright white paper, and the consistency and vibrancy of the paint colours is really good. The colour coding of the brushes to match the pots allow my 4 year old to paint well, without mixing colours… My only but…would be the quality of the chalks- they are very pastel, and with a boy who want to draw superheroes and rainbows, his efforts look a bit whitewashed.
Got this on sale for my daughter. Paint pots work a dream they have been knocked over more times than I can count and not a drop spilt. Paint washed off brushes and pot with minimal effort and out of clothes too. Even if it wasn’t on sale I would definitely buy these again! Just wish there were more pain colours included.
I first spotted these brushes at mum son’s nursery, they believed they are the best available on the market so I did not hesitate to order them. Melissa & Doug is brand I trust and these brushes are a fantastic!
The thick handle and shape means you child can hold and manipulate the brush well, whilst encouraging them to hold it correctly. The bristles are very high quality and apply the paint very smoothly. They have been used more times than I can remember and wash well and are always as good as new, ready to create another masterpiece. I tend to colour coordinate the paint colour with the brush, which is really helping my 20 month old son learn his colours.

This easel ticks all the boxes EXCEPT the White board is NOT magnetic, otherwise it would be perfect; useful trays in the right places, height adjustable, easy to fold away, paper roll hidden. If u don’t have your toddler helping I reckon you could get it put together in 15-20 mins
Really lovely item. Good quality. Both my 1 yr old and 3 yr old use it with no issues. Without sounding mean, for the money, maybe the maker could have supplied it with a few paint pots to make it more complete. Happy with my purchase.

Excellent accessories kit! It had everything needed, for my little 2yo nephew to get started using his M&D Easel (except an apron -but we bought another one). The Easel took some time to assemble but it looked impressive (albeit a little high for a 2yo -although this is fine as it’s designed ideally for 3+ and because it seems so durable, fingers crossed will last him for years). The paints seem washable too so no need to panic if they paint themselves instead of the paper 🙂 I’m sure one can find these bits separately & cheaper elsewhere but this was hassle-free and good quality/value for money. I do like Melissa & Doug toys!
Excellent easel and our grandsons are having fun using it. Shame the white board isn’t magnetic. Only problem was that the white board was slightly damaged on the corner but is covered over by the screws on the lowest setting at the moment. The white board also has a small bump in it but the whole thing came in so many pieces that I didn’t think I could get it back in the box.
My two-year old daughter loves it and my 11 month-old beginning to take an interest. They only use it for about 10 mins at a time but they do use it on a daily basis. It can be adjusted over time to suit the children’s age/height.
Just remember that you get nothing for your money aside from the easel- paper etc has to be bought seperately.
I bought this easel for my 2.5 year old for Christmas as another cheaper version couldnt be delivered to our address, had some delivery issues with thus one also but the seller couldn’t have been more helpful, especially as it was in the run up to Christmas. I have to say it is worth the extra money and she has thoroughly enjoyed playing with it! Another great product from Melissa and Doug.
Perfect – exactly what we were looking for our 5 year old. Very good quality and I think it will last years. The accessory set also brilliant which we received as a Christmas present from a relative to go with the easel. Very pleased with the purchase and a big fan of M&D products in general as always great quality and value for money.

Paper was a little thin, but useable. My son loves it even though he’s eight. The pots are good for keeping paint in ready for use for extended periods (have a clip on top to air seal). Brushes are a bit cheap but ok, my son won’t notice lol.
Glad I purchased this as a deal, very good value for money at this price, but not at the full price.
Initially I had some problems with the delivery date, but after contacting the supplier the problem was resolved, so im rating the actual product which was well worth the wait. Very sturdy, easy to assemble, and looks great! Its a little more expensive than most children’s easels iv seen BUT its a great quality product, the kids love it n use it everyday.
We bought this easel for a 19 month old, she absolutely loves it. We can already tell that there will much pleasure ahead gained from this product.
The instructions are very clear on how to put this together, although I still got it wrong! This is very well made and sturdy, Both my 2 yr old and 8 year old were painting on it at christmas. I can see its a quality item.
his is an excellent product and was worth the money . art supplies can be picked up a lot cheaper and in bulk . the only thing i bought to go with it from the melissa and doug range was the paint pots . the nuts and bolts being unscrewed by little ones is not a problem of the product as although my youngest did attempt it time out ensured this dident happen often and is now largely ignored as doing crafts is more interesting .

This is a great easel. I did a lot of research before choosing one and I think I made the right choice. It is quite bulky, but as you can change the height of the boards it will be great as my girls get bigger, and the lowest is perfect for my 3 year old. The trays are great for storing everything in, but do make it take up more room when folded than I thought. Paper roll is really handy and that it threads through the wood at the top is really nice. Don’t think you could ask for more!
It’s slightly fiddly to put together but 1 person can do it alone in about 30 minutes ( I did it alone ) but two people would have it together in no time at all.
When it’s up it looks very impressive. The chalk and white board surfaces are very large so there is a lot of space for drawing/painting ect. I like how it can be used for many things. At the moment my son is only interested in the chalk side but in time he will be using the whiteboard and the paper roll to make more permanent art work 🙂
The added bonus with this easel compared to others I’ve seen is that it will grow with your child. I bought this for my 2 1/2 year old and have it on its lowest setting. As he grows the boards and trays can be put higher up. I can honestly say that I think he will be playing with this for many years to come 🙂
You only get the easel (no accessories) but that’s been no problem. Paper rolls are pretty cheap at ELC and paint and chalks can be bought fairly inexpensively most places. I did consider getting the Melissa and doug accessory set but I decided against it as you don’t seem to get much for the money. Instead I bought the m+d paint pots (I wanted them to fit the tray properly) and have bought other supplies elsewhere for a fraction of the cost.
If you want an easel that is sturdy and will last for many years then this is the one to get!
It’s beautiful and you can tell the quality as soon as you start putting it together. It looks really nice and my little boy loves it. I dropped a star though because I feel for the price it should have included some of the items I had to purchase separately i.e the melissa & doug paper roll and the matching paint pot holders etc. I do recommend it though if you are looking for a good quality and sturdy easel.
Much better than many of the kids easels you see advertised. Was a bit more expensive but will stand up to hard wear and tear!
My boys (2 & 4) are always fighting over stuff so really useful that this easel has two fun sides so they can both draw and paint ( I use the clips to attach extra paper). I can see them using this for years.
Great set! Bit pricey for what’s in it but just what I needed to go with my daughter’s easel! Also paint stained my carpet so be careful with that 🙂
Bought for my daughter’s 6th birthday! She absolutely loves it! Good sturdy product, however we had an issue with one of the legs as the holes were too deep, hubby had already built it and didn’t fancy trying to put in box to return so we contacted Melissa and Doug and must say I was very impressed – they sent a new part within a few weeks and problem sorted 🙂 very pleased with my purchase!

I bought this for my 8 year old daughter. It is a lovely easel. Very sturdy & age appropriate. It can be adjusted to different height levels which is great. My only gripe with it is it is very complicated when putting together. Better instructions needed.

All items seem to be of reasonably good quality and should cover every conceivable use for the easel.
The cost of the package is rather high and I am sure That I could have purchased similar individual items for a few pounds less. Having said that, this kit is colour coordinated with the easel which adds to the attractive appearance of the set and the non spill cups and paper roll are custom made to exactly fit the easel. So what the heck go for the whole package.

We use these with paints in the same 4 colours and my 2 year old has never put the wrong colour paintbrush in the wrong pot of paint!! She is also left handed and seems to use these with ease. Good bristles.
I was comparing this product to the another easel which seem a little more childlike and colourful. But I decided on this Melissa and Doug easel purely based partly on the brand name and partly on the tray that holds the paint container. Many easels that I see either do not have a paint container holder or the container holder is inset. Melissa and Doug tray holder is built outset and that means container can stay in the tray with paint brush in it.
Height adjustment possibility is a plus.
Big surface area for painting and chalk work.
Over all satisfied but gave it a four as I think the wood could be painted to make it less plain.
Bought this for my daughter’s 2nd birthday and she loves it. She has used it every day to draw and chalk.The paper roll means it is really easy paint, and paper fits neatly for storage. The trays are really handy. Adjustable heights mean it will grow with her.

I bought this for my grandson and my daughter had very specific requirements. It is of good quality, will last for several years and has so many options. There is an option for painting with non spill cups with lids, using a roll of paper for drawing and for use as a chalk board. The fact that there are ledges to put paints and crayons on make it all the more practical. Although it comes recommended for age 3+, my grandson is only 2 but is still able to use it easily. The easel is quite tall making it likely to last him a long time as he grows into it.
A little unwieldy to construct and perhaps slightly thicker material required for the flat chalkboard and whiteboard surfaces but a decent product nonetheless. This product would benefit from having a lightly magnetised/magnetic whiteboard surface.
All the children, from 3 to 7, love this painting set. It does take quite a while to assemble and I don’t know why they can’t just send it ready to use instead of in a hundred pieces. Still, once it’s up and running, it is great entertainment and of course good for practising writing, spelling and other useful activities.
I bought this melissa & Doug Easel Accessory Set to accompany an easel bought for my grandaughter for christmas. I must say this set included everything needed and the price was very good as well.She is 3yrs old and is definitely enjoying being able to use all the accessories with her easel. Plenty of mess which she loved but sure isn’t that exactly what 3yr olds should be doing. Very pleased with the purchase Thank you
lovely purchase, but pricy for what it contains, you can get replacements in ikea or tesco for a lot less, but it’s good to have it at first as it goes nicely with easel from the same company. Overall highly recommended
Hi, I would like to recommend this purchase to everyone who has little explorers like I do, my son loves to paint and draw and this easel makes it easy and fun for him. It catches the eye with bright colours, is accessible for little ones, very sturdy too. Easy to clean, easy to replace paper roll, easy to store. Overall great buy! Even though it may appear a bit expensive, you will be happy with money you spend on it!
