Great looking Electric Showe
This was a replacement for a discontinued Mira and apart from the usual jiggling of new securing holes etc it was easy to fit. It looks great and does exactly what it is meant to.
This was a replacement for another Mira electric shower that I had, which still worked and had been going for years. I’ve always wanted a ‘rain’ shower but didn’t think it possible with an electric shower, as the water pressure with them normally isn’t that great. I was wary but am glad I went for it! A game changer for a great shower experience. I have the 9.5kw, the pressure is good from both shower heads (clearly you can’t use both at the same time), and it holds the temperature well. You can swivel the rain shower head, but not tilt it. It took about 2 hours to install. I love it! Would definitely get another.

I’ve only just installed this and used it a few times so I can comment on the long term reliability.
The only problem installing was the QR code in the box – which is supposed to take you to an installation video on the manufacturers website doesn’t do so.
It takes you to the website and reports an error! Not very joined up MIra!
That said, its not a complicated install, the template and instructions marry up well.
The unit and fitting are all quite robust and there’s enough space inside to access the connections with resorting to contortions or skinning knuckles.
In operation, the unit warms up quickly and there seemed to be plenty of heat power in reserve to cope with variation in the inlet water temperature.
Switch off is practically instant and it is certainly going to be a big improvement and saving over the old mixer unit on the bath that was fed from the immersion heater tank.
How could Mira improve it? Fix the video link and maybe include a soap dish mounted on the pole.
Lovely shower unit but doesn't las
I bought this shower unit and it worked perfectly fine for 3 months and then stopped, I have been advised the switch has a fault and will have to replace. If you are buying this product and have a choice don’t, unless you only need it for a few months.

It was easy to swap over the old shower to this new one.
It heats up quickly and had a good amount of water coming out.
I would recommend this to anyone looking for a new shower.

Fitted this shower to replace a previous Mira Shower, both showers were excellent.
Simple, stylish, wallet-friendly and effective
We bought this as a replacement for our existing Mira which had finally broken down after many years service. Money is tight, so the choice was limited. Our plumber and electrician had no problem installing it, and it is running nicely. How long it will last is of course unknown. Fingers crossed!

Great replacement for old mira showe
Good instructions. Easy to swap in for 2004 mira essentials shower. Nothing fancy. Simple shower head.
worked right out of the box
Had a similar Mira shower before and the fitting was straight foward APART from a new hole needed in the tile. No leaks or glitches just works straight out of the box. HOWEVER, it did take about 2-3 mins of running before the boiling hot water to stabilise and honour the temperature control dial. Been using for 2+ months without any issues so far.
