We brought this for our new build garden, which just didn’t want to grow grass in some places. Following the instructions on the bag, we finally have managed to cover up the patches. I recommend following the instructions carefully otherwise it won’t work. Worth spending that extra money for this one, it took a little longer to grow in some places, but garden looking much better now!
Quick and easy instructions, didn’t cover as much as it said in the tub, maybe my bald spots were bigger than most, installed six days ago and the grass is already growing!
Easy to see when need watering due to the colour change of the coir!
Pretty much guaranteed to grow so i can recommend for difficult areas and spots damaged by pets. It works out quite expensive though and the big plastic containers seem a bit excessive in this day and age
This works great but you must follow the instructions and keep it damp once spread in order for the seeds to geminate.
It works really well at filling in patches, sorry no before and after pictures.
When applied it will appear a light brown in colour and when wet this will turn dark brown which is what you want so keep an eye on it and keep it nice and mois
Does a good job but it is not as simple as throwing it on the floor, make sure you dig it out and put some compost there, you will probably find that this grass patch grows faster than the rest of the grass though due to the high quality grasses used.
Easy to use, although I’d also use peat to cover the seed. It stopped the birds eating the seed. Shake well before use, and water. Follow instructions and voila, revived law

In the past I have used this and it is an effective and easy way of reseeding small patches. The price for 3.5kg is better than anywhere else.

This product is very easy to use. The grass did eventually grow but would have grown better if I had kept it watered properly!
Great results after one use the patches dissapeard done a great job will be ordering again and good price a lot cheaper than in shops
Tested this by growing grass from the tops of opened eggshells. Worked well there, worked just as well when filling holes gouged out by our neighbourhood fox.

My patchy grass now looks luscious. I had lots of moss which I removed with a scarifier leaving bald patches. Treated the grass with Lime – check it out – which seemed to prevent the regrowth of moss. The grass seed was easy to apply and strong blades of grass quickly germinated to fill the gaps. Delighted with the result.
Also cheaper than other brands.
This is brilliant for filling in any patches where the dog has burnt the grass or where there has been moss and the grass isn’t growing. 100% recommend.
This is very pricey and doesn’t go very far, but really does grow well.

I used a combination of coir, top soil and seed for larger areas, with similar results.
This stuff is always very good at reviving the lawn, hence the name magic probably. It is safe for use with dogs which is a bonus. Only complaint is although it is the biggest size it only lasts so long and is quite expensive as you always need to purchase more to maintain through the warmer months. Arrived with fleece and clips super quick.
I saw a video on Instagram about how effective this was and so as soon as I saw it was on offer I bought some. It’s just as good as they video showed. I had a whole edge of my front lawn that was ‘dead’ so I raked it through and threw some miracle gro down. I watered it for a week and was fortunate with the sun, there was a good grass showing at that point. I have it another week before mowing and by that stage the old bald spots were as a result of me missing them with the seed or accidental washing them away when watering. It’s very good.
Takes up to two weeks to start growing but def worth the wait as lush grass is the result. You need to keep it watered but it is easy to know when to water it as coir turns very light brown. Would recommend for patch jobs.
Brilliant, my grass looked dull patchy and dead, In just 2 weeks it was lovely and green again, so pleased gonna buy more for the rest of my garde
Used three bags of this stuff on my patchy lawn and it worked really well. Saw growth after 12 days, luckily it rained nearly every day so did not need to water as regularly. I did notice in areas where the soil is not completely level, if it rains heavy or you over water the seeds, a pool will form and wash away the seeds. I now have patches where the water pooled – a note to not over water and also ensure soil is level before applying and good seed to soil contact is maintained.
This is great stuff, we have two female dogs so we had a lot of burnt patches of grass, it has been brilliant and really helped the patches grow back
This product was recommended to usit is magic!! We really thought we’d have to returf our damaged lawn (moss, weeds, building work wore out patches) in just 3 weeks there is real evidence that the patches are growing in. I’m just about to order my second container for future patches.
Having used grass seed in the past without success I wasn’t expecting much. However, I have been impressed how quickly it has grown and covered a bald patch where the trampoline had been. I would definitely recommend it. I think the secret is to keep

Great seeds as they grow really quick, and miles cheaper than my local DIY store where I bought less than half this amount for more money. Just need to watch your first cut with the mower as the new grass hasn’t rooted well enough until at least 6 inches long. Otherwise cut with the mower at a height that won’t rip them out.
So here’s the thing, it does work BUT… The coverage is terrible I needed 3 massive bags to do 2/3 of my grass. Also you need to lay it on thick as hell to get it to grow. You really have to rake underneath as well or it will just wash away. What you should do is rake and dig an inch of soil, mix up the miracle gro with the soil, and then add some extra on top. That said when it works it’s great I did a big strip that was under plant pots for 10 years and it looks great now 0 to a 100 nice thick tall grass now.
Love this, only product that’s worked for me. We found watering 3 times daily Was enough and had new shoots of grass in 4 days. I’ve a male dog also and the new grass hasn’t been burned from the urine.
Following moving into our new house there was a lot of bare patches on the grass. I tried digging up the soil, laying seed, consistent watering etc etc, it nothing seemed to take. I was considering digging the whole lot up and returning, and tried this as a last resort.
I purchased this, and the smaller shaker pot. Within days the shoots were coming through. After a month, I can now not even tell where laid this. I now have a nice lush lawn area.
Will be purchasing more to give the grass at the front of the property a kick start next.
I used this on a few patches on my lawn and it has made a real difference. It took a couple of weeks for me to notice a real difference, but I am really pleased with the product and the result.
I was a bit dubious about this but got to say it improved my lawn immensely, would definitely buy again and highly recommend
What can I say? The pack says that it’s seed and it will grow and it did. We have shady and damp one side of the lawn, dry and parched in the sun on the other. Both bits now have grass growing again.

having had this item i dug up the dead grass leaving just soil i spread this on the soil watered it until dark brown within 4 days started growing overall brilliant product my patches now gone after 6 days
Have tried this before and it failed . This time I’ve watered two or three times a day and it worked.
Don’t try to make it go too far – the seed only works if it is surrounded by the coi
Tried 3 other grass seeds nothing really took. This was amazing. Fabulous green grass on patches within 10 days.
Easy to use, new grass started coming through after 2 weeks and still coming through.
Bought this because of a few dead patches where the dog had done a wee on the lawn and it had killed the grass. I tried this one two of the larger patches. Initially seeded on 1 May (see before photos) and this is what the area looks like now on 16 May. It grew a bit slower than expected, but it’s worth noting that we were still having cold nights and frosts this year, but it’s definitely growing. The whole pot is marked as needing to be used in one season, so I guess it needs to be used up in one year. I’ll do the smaller patches over the next year. The tub does say that the new grass will be more “salt” resistant grass which could mean it’s less worried by dog wee. We always water down the wee when it happens with a watering can with a rose on for five seconds, but sometimes she does something and has moved on before we notice which is probably why the dead patches are there.
Excellent, the local bird population totally ignored this, unlike the previous seed which they had devoured over night.
The seed germinated in three days and is now growing happily.

worked very well and now I have one of the nicest verges on my street (making it more attractive to dogs no doubt!). The mix holds water well which no doubt makes a big difference vs just putting down seeds. Took a bit longer than it said on the tin but probably because it’s been on the cooler side.
I have used this product before to repair patches of wear and tear on my lawn and it’s always proved effective. Easy to recommend.
