Bought this to use while painting Warhammer models. Excellent product, really bright, useful with multiple settings; would highly recommend.
I have had this guy for about a year and its fantastic. I almost think I couldn’t do without it.
It does what it says on the tin and it’s a very good light. However, for model makers it does cast a lot of shadows because it is so bright. Perhaps 2 smaller lights would be better? Or lower power setting? Finally, to switch off the light requires you to press the switch 3 times! Odd.
Great light with several brightness settings, well built, easy to fit and easy to move, light covers large area and ideal for hobby, art and I use to study paper work, excellent for this. Expensive but you get what pay for.
It’s a lovely bright light, and a nice cool white colour. There’s 4 levels of dimming which is a great option to have. It feels sturdy and lights up quite a wide area. Would recommend.
After reading on various lights I went for this one.
I wanted it for painting 1/35 scale models, there are 4 light settings to suit, it’s sturdy and great to position exactly how you want it.
In my opinion perfect for hobbyist.
This lamp is perfect for miniature painting or any other similar task.
Brightness is great. Neutral, natural light spectrum.
Adjusting the brightness level is a great touch if you need less luminosity early in the day.
The arm is flexible enough to get the lamp to your ideal position.
Construction is very sturdy.
Recommended! The price is justified.
The lamp has provided me with a very good light at my deask where I do a lot of reading involving small pri
Great product with a 3 year warranty and amazing lighting for any hobby set-up
I use this light for making models and painting them and it’s been awesome for this
Fantastic amount of light. Perfect for our needs. I had considered 23 inch light instead of 20 inch, but this is more than sufficient to give me great light coverage. So much better than the smaller led I had previously.
We bought two of these lamps, one for 28mm model painting and one for crafting. The are well made, simple to operate and give a bright natural light, very close to daylight. Considering the price of other similar lamps they represent good value for money and a small extra bonus is that they look smart too. Assembly is simple and takes just a couple of minutes to unbox the lamps secure the clamp, place the arm in the clamp and then place the lamp in the position you want it. The clamp is reasonably large so you do need a reasonable lip on your desk or table to secure it in place. The lamp head has a locking facility so it does not move around once in position. I would recommend this product.
I use this for over my sewing machine and its realy good for moving over the needle without getting in the way of me
I really love it ! It worth the money! My friend after she saws she bought too for her !
Expensive, but gives good bright light like in a surgery ward 🙂
It helps me a lot while I’m doing something with microelectronics. A flexible console helps to adjust the lap to my needs.
Very good light, is as good as daylight and takes the strain off your eyes when working late at night or on an overcast day. Very good for hobby model building and painting. Also works well for reading as well.
As a tight so and so, i was i little reluctant to spash out nearly 100 on a modelling lamp but i have needed a proper worklight for some time as the 30 LED desklamp i was using wasn`t cutting it and was leaving me with sore eyes. I always do my research before buying and my google search threw up a review on a blog run by a guy that paints warhammer figures. I was impressed with the review and it was 50 cheaper than the well known brand i was resigned to buying, so i bought one! It has 4 brightness settings, in 25% increments. 100% is perfect for eliminating shadow when painting detail and attaching tiny parts but it would be a little harsh on the eyes after a while. I will probably use this at 75% mostly. The light head is actually 50cm wide not 55cm as it says.
So happy with this product. Using it for miniature painting and it’s amazing what a difference it has made for me. Well worth the money if you enjoy the hobby
The Task Lamp is really good, but if I have a small issue it is with the difficulty of manipulating it into all kinds of useful angles. It could have done with more flexibility and being able to stay in a given position without fear of breaking it.
Highly recommend it’s use.
Excellent bright daylight light, use mine for painting miniatures and its spot o
Loving this lamp, very sturdy and very bright helps with close up work .
I have managed to get through a few angle-poise lamps over the years as I use them for hobbies where they get pushed and pulled around a lot. Ones with a plastic pin at the base of the armature would, sooner or later, snap in half. When the last one broke I was nervous about a replacement as it is hard to tell from the pictures online whether they are truly all metal in construction. But, no worries with this Neatfi LED lamp. It is about 20% longer than normal angle-poise desk lamps so it can be used on quite long workbenches which suits me just fine. It comes with a large and sturdy, all metal, mounting clamp. There are no holes in the clamp to allow you to screw it to the bench. This would have been nice but not essential. The base of the armature is all metal too with a good long metal pin to insert into the clamp. This angle-poise is not going to break very easily.
The lamp itself is an LED strip which gives a nice diffuse light source. However I would have preferred a regular Edison Screw mount so I can buy replacement bulbs off the shelf. I suspect when the LED strip fails that no spares will be available and the entire thing will go in the bin. I would hate the idea of built-in obsolescence. This is particularly acute for THIS product as it is a superb piece of quality engineering. It simply doesn’t smack of being disposable. This is a lamp for life which is what you would expect for the price. You get what you pay for. The armature does not have the usual springs you expect so it is all very sleek and slimline. I liked the switch being located on the top of the lamp. No more reaching down the back of the furniture to try and switch the thing on. (I mean, what is the deal with that!? That was always lousy/lazy design.) The switch is a bit flimsy and it takes a bit of getting used to. It does give you the ability to dim the light which I was initially doubtful about but then I found this to be useful. I use the brightest light on hobbies but then dim it for keyboard/screen work where a more subdued lighting is more appropriate. You will find yourself clicking the button over and over again to get the light level you want only to find you have switched the thing off. This is really annoying. I would have preferred a separate dimmer switch as this would have been easier to use. One thing I really loved about this was the fact that the plug is attached to a power cord that has a separate mini-plug that attached to a cable at the back of the lower armature. For anyone who has tried to thread a British three-pin plug out from the back of the furniture will know how difficult that is. So Neatfi have solved that problem as you can now position the lamp and thread the power cable to it separately without having to move all your furniture around. Smart thinking.
This is, without doubt, the best workbench lamp I have every purchased. Well worth the money. Extremely strong and solid. Beautiful design. Lots of really clever and well thought-out features. A few minor niggles but nothing major.
Good light level on max. The mid elbow is below the height of my monitors so can’t bend downwards as it is against my screens. Still fairly manoeuvrable and provides sufficient light for my needs.
Remarkably bright or soft and gentle or anywhere in between. Very pleased with it.
I’m using this lamp for very detailed stitching, it fits perfectly on my Lowery stand and the brightness/colour warmth is ideal
A very well made, cleverly designed light. Very bright too.
I required a light for painting 40K minis and was previously using a 16.99 Woputne Desk Lamp. I was feeling that my Woputne Desk Lamp wasn’t quite cutting it so thought i would invest. I bought the Neatfi XL 2,200. Now I know there is a vast difference in price but I didn’t really know just how much brighter this Neatfi would be. On its dimmest setting it is brighter than the desk lamp on its brightest. On full the Neatfi blows my previous light out of the water. It is very sturdy and easy to setup. It is significantly larger than my previoulsy light and not quite as inconspicuous but that is the trade off you pay i guess. Very glad I purchased and for anyone painting under a cheaper smaller light like I was I would say definitely shell out that bit extra for something like the Neatfi.
Yes I recommend! I was very pleased when it arrived. Sturdy and the light is very bright exactly what I wanted…..and no glare for anyone else in the room. Does the job!
My mother sews, knits, and reads her newspaper in her seat in the living room over the winter months. The room is quite dark, She bought a stand lamp with child reading lights. It is a 500w halogen standing lamp and the child lamp is 15w halogen. Even this does not provide enough light, and it consumes a large amount of power.
I purchased the Neatfi XL, and clipped it onto the widow sill beside her chair. Once we overcame the look, and it is clipped to window sill, I have managed to get her to use it, she is now very happy. She can see.
Also it is 12volt, so you can use where you only have battery power, like a caravan. I highly recommend this light.
A very bright task lamp that has thus far been perfect for model making and miniature painting. Gives a good spread of light, very bright, you’ll rarely need full power, and so far appears very robust.
Quality feel, sturdy construction, nice finish, stays where you put it, very flexible in positioning
This a great lamp with the lighting levels incredible and ideal for close up work. The only down side is the fact that the light fitting itself only has limited movement which is quite annoying. I have had to get over this by positioning the lamp not originally where I wanted it to get it in the right position. Its disappointing that I cannot give it a 100% rating due to this poor design issue.
Having spent hours deciding on which lamp to go for I am so glad I chose this one. It is sturdy, stylish, well designed and bright – a really good daylight bright. It has eliminated the annoying shadows I experienced with my previous lamp and has made sewing and trimming threads etc so much easier. I use it on the bright setting while I am working but then dim it down a couple of clicks when I am in and out of the sewing room or doing other jobs that don’t need such a bright light, it is still very light (by comparison to the normal ceiling lights).
I would recommend this light to anyone looking for a good craft lamp and would say it is suitable for sewing, reading, leather craft, drawing etc etc.
Great lamp for home working on the dark winter uk days.
Light is very close to daylight. Brightness options are simple. Sturdy lamp that is easy to adjust.
I use this lamp on my artist table and the neutral light works perfectly. It’s very sturdy and has a good reach.
The only slight criticism I have is that I’d have liked the joint at the lamp head to be a proper ball and socket, making the head fully rotational, allowing a full 90 degrees rotation from the arm. Otherwise, a great piece of kit.
The lamp is bright and covers lot of surface.
The only minus is that to get the desired light setting have to press one button again and again.
For the 100 worth of lamp I would like to have separate buttons for the settings.
The clamp is strong, lamp stays where you position.
Happy with purchase!
ease of set up – good angle lamp – very good for model painting
Used for miniature painting. Very good, better than standard desk lamps even if they’re fitted with daylight bulbs. This Neatfi lamp spreads the light very well and it’s easy to get the perfect position with the lamp head because the lamp arm is long and the head rotates and swivels.
Quite expensive but the adjustable brightness and “daylight” tone makes a huge difference to my model painting.
Very Happy with this new lamp as I have been struggling to see fine details whilst painting and this was exactly what I was looking for: A Bright, Clear, quality Light. Was definitly worth the purchase!
Great lamp that I bought especially for painting in the winter, when natural light is non existent. Very good brightness that makes the light I need for painting. Very close to day light. Its nice that you have several levels of brighness. Very pleased with this purchase!
A tad expensive for what it is, but I needed it for my craft room as the nights draw in. Yeah, sure, there were several cheaper options available but I asked around the crafting community and this lamp seemed to come out on top
Good hobby lamp. Very bright and illuminates a good area.
I have now bought four of these task lights!! I am very happy with their performance ! I use them every day in my workshop. The LED light is great to work with and you can have four light levels! Multi position counter lever arm, large lamp head, eye care facility, not too bright. About 6000 Kelvin daylight, warm, 20 watt LED , 50,000 hours use. Memory light settings, they may seem expensive but for serious workshop use why not, you must be able to have a excellent light source. Then you can work well and not have to worry about eye strain?
I am more than happy with my task lights!! The magnifying lens lamp is great, I have tried a few other task lamps but I was disappointed? Try them?
Bought this to attach to my workspace for painting miniatures and it’s great. It gives enough clear bright light to see by in all conditions and time of the year (writing this at the beginning of winter so it’s getting a lot of use)
The light itself is nice and long so gives a good coverage and the arm mechanism allows it to be maneuvered into just the right place.
The desk clamp works well and is tightened with a loose bar which allows it to be tightened with it quite close to the desk leg/side panel. I’ve had one before that used a large wing but so couldn’t be turned as close this arrangement can.
This is half the price of the other lamp I was considering and I’m glad to say, going with the cheaper option worked out for the best.
I guess cycling through the brightnesses to turn it off can be slughtly annoying, but it’s only three presses and you quickly get into the habit of the repeat presses to turn it off so not a big deal for me.
Lights up my A0 drawing board. Looks good and 4 brightness options work well.
Updated
1st Purchase
As desk work light to go in wife’s sewing room. Clamped to desk, positioned over sewing machine, the light is a good length at around 20″ and giving a good white light that I’d guess isn’t too far from daylight (5500K) which for this type of work or anything that involves colour is vital. Many similar lamps will give off a much ‘warmer’ colour light which means you wont see the true colour of the things you are working with. The human eye is designed to see ‘true colour’ in natural daylight which is around 5500K.
The light output is excellent giving a bright defused light on the work area, the lamp is height adjustable over a good range so you wont be banging your head into this lamp. When we were ordering my wife was a bit “95 for a desk lamp!!!” but now it’s installed is very pleased. Classic example of getting what you pay for.
Negative points
lamp offers a range of output levels by multiple presses of the on/off switch, can’t see this being much use suspect for most it will either be on at max light output of off but a minor point.
Would I buy this again? YES in fact I have my eye on an illuminated magnifying lens version of this lamp from the same company for my desk!
2nd Purchase
Finally decided to go with the regular desk lamp rather then the unit with the magnifying lamp as I’d only use the magnifying lens occasionally but its got a slightly lower light output of 1600 lm against the regular desk lamps output of 2200lm.
So having purchased two I’ll leave you decide if that’s a recommendation???
Nice task lamp. Powerful led light. Swivel clamp can be rotated in all directions. I use it for intricate watchmaking tasks and it’s very effective
Brilliant the brightness is more than awesome. Its got different brightness setting that is easily use with just one simple button. The arm of the led lamp is also very flexible and turns easily. I recommend this product for so many people who loves crafts, painting, painting small figures, sewing and much more.
Overall I’m impressed and will give this product a 5/5 stars
After reading and comparing many reviews I finally settled on this one. I am not disappointed, it is super bright, easy to set up, and fixes securely to the table without moving. I looked at many lamps and for a similar price this seemed to be the best, high lumens, many LEDs and really bright, which for me was the most important thing. I love it, I can now draw any time of the day, even at night!
I make plastic models and have struggled to get the right level of lighting into my work space. Enter Neatfi 2,200 LED task lamp. To say this is what I have been looking for does not cut it. This lamp and its variable LED output is fantastic. It lights up both parts of my ‘L’ shaped work surface enabling me to work in both sections without having to adjust the lighting position. The clamp and adjustable arms are rock solid and the range of adjustment excellent for my purposes. Fantastic value for money 10 out of 10 from me. Don’t look anyware else this is the real deal. Remember to order with the correct plug for your region UK or Europe. Excellent packaging as well by the way.
Fantastic product. Nice and bright. Everyone said this is the one to go for, for your desk and I can see why. Also it moves in every direction so you can find the right sitting for it with a bit of time. Love it already
I bought this lamp in order to help me paint miniature figures for wargaming. I had read several reviews for several different lamps, but the reviews for this one were quite good, and it was not too pricey. Yes it is close to one hundred pounds, but if the lamp lasts as long as it should, it represents excellent value for money. I am slightly older now than when I last did painting, and I wanted to get into it to such an extent that I could start submitting projects for competitions. I have used it in the last fortnight and have not been disappointed. It gives excellent coverage of the model and there are several light settings, so if the light is a bit on the bright side, you can turn it down. Using the light I can pick out some fine detail without the need to resort to a magnifying glass. It is easy to set up and very stable. I do not have a dedicated room for my modelling, so I end up working on the dining room table a lot. Once clamped in place, it is very stable and easy to control in terms of how close you can put it to the model. You can also fully extend the top part of the arm without the lamp coming out of the clamp due to the altered weight distribution.
The only thing that I would point out is that the lamp cannot rotate 360 degrees and it can be a little awkward to move it around until you are use to it. There is a pivot guard just above the light that can get in the way of it’s movement sometimes. This is only a very minor issue and once you get used to dealing with that, it becomes easier. Because it is so minor, I have kept this to a 5 star review.
If, like me, you are someone who is coming back to a hobby due to staying indoors and need some light to help you, then I recommend this light.
Bought for my boyfriend to paint miniatures. He absolutely loves it, fantastic LED spread of light with multiple brightness levels
Card craft & sewing
Only received today but good all round.
No
It’s bight – dazzling! We’ve bought it to use at a sewing machine: aging eyes find it more difficult to thread the needle. This is brilliant; pun intended.
I was looking for lamp to better illuminate home office work space during COVID.
I have been using work lamps like this in the past that were florescent (using FCL-22W) so I was looking for something around 1000 lumen (something few LED lamps achieve/advertise).
At 2200l this was brighter but this is more an advantage then an issue especially as it is dimmable. The large head gives better lighting dispersal and does not suffer from the flicker or electrical noise of the florescent. All round this is a better product for a similar cost.
I was concerned about the heat and lack of handle however although it gets warm it is not too hot to handle even after being on full power for hours, and is an easily grip-able shape.
Product was well packed. When it fell of the camping table I was using as desk I was concerned about damage but it was fine. Securing mechanism is ok the problem was the table flexing and surfaces not being parallel. I used some wooden blocks to spread the load it has been good since.
Having to click though all the light setting (4 and off) every time you use to product is a minor issue in an otherwise good product.
Would recommend/buy again.
I will be using lamp for model making, I have not used it yet but after checking it out I’m sure it’s going to be perfect for what I want it fo
Led lamp that is bright and well made, not the cheapest but good build quality and many leds, also good motion in the adjustments, sturdy and robust.
brilliant product, i use it for doing jigsaw puzzles, and love its flexabillity, delivery was quick too.
i liked the quality of the light and the amount of brightness and the controllability of light for differing needs
Excellent light expensive but you get what you pay for i must add its very well packaged
Nice bright work and desk light. Wanted something for my home office which would replicate the bright led panels in my work office. This is just the job. Bright with 4 light levels. Just double-click for off. No complaints but just ensure you have one with a UK plug as my first one arrive with an EU plug. Returned and replaced with no trouble.
I have struggled with shadows, and hard to see areas for a long time now, and while the Neatfi doesn’t eliminate them totally, it has helped considerably. I have it paired with 2x lamps containing 100w daylight bulbs (which are not on in the video).
Happy to see that even the desk clamp is aluminium, not plastic – and that the lamp is detachable when not in use. It’s a big unit, so I don’t want it constantly attached to my desk. Just had it though, so I couldn’t say what the longevity will be like.
Use this for modelmaking and the light is very bright and white, it can also be dimmed in 2 stages or instantly turned off by double clicking.. light spread is good and even. recommended.
Great lamp, great price and such a good light to work by and would recommend to anybody.
Everything about this light is excellent (apart from the price – bit pricey). I’ve only used the brightest setting but provides more than enough light to concentrate on workshop jobs. Height adjustable, manoeverable, head swivels… All-in-all exactly what I was looking for so didn’t mind paying the added cost.
Great lamp just right of scale model making nice and bright can be moved and angled easily to any position.
Wanted a decent lamp for painting miniatures and this ticks all the boxes, it’s awesome
Fantastic styling, daylight, intended to attach to an easel and I am very pleased. The great reviews are justified; worth the money.
Well put together, extremely well packaged and protected. Bright and fully adjustable.
I am using this in my home office and it is excellent in every regard. Easy to fit with the clamp, does not take up space, has great height and range of movement. Excellent light which can be dimmed. All-in-all the best light I have ever had: by a very considerable distance. I wish they did some for my lounge as it is so difficult to get a decent reading light without paying what seems an extortionate amount of money. But for hobbyists, desk work, or for people who just want a quality product that works well this is the one!
Very good brightness, I used to have a larger LED lamp but this appears just as bright but smaller. Slightly lighter then my old task lamp XL.
My only gripe is due to the frame being lighter and the connection between the arms of the lamp and the desk clamp is a little lose, so if its not perfectly level the lamp slides to the side, easily corrected though by just levelling out the clamp
As I get older I value good lighting more and more. This lamp is very flexible and bright but holds its position perfectly. It’s got a lot of reach and the light fitting itself can be adjusted to suit pretty much any situation.
What can I say best light I’ve ever had I do a lot of railway figure painting in 4mm scale the difference it has made is incredible highley recommend to anybody doing this type work
This light has transformed my desk space into an area where detailed work is now ten times easier thanks to the super-bright LEDs.
I no longer need two pairs of glasses for small stuff! 🙂
Now I need another one for the workshop…..
At first I thought that this lamp might be a bit pricey but has turned into a bargain. Very bright and adjustable, small profile. And when you bang your head on it it doesn’t hurt (talking from experience) easy to assemble.
