The quality is as good as any of the larger higher spec, projections (from the naked eye, you may be able to tell if you’re a techy)
Plus points:
Surprisingly good image despite only 480p and 100 ANSI lumens.
Very compact, solid (weighty), super portable.
Charges whist playing (QC 3.0)
Supper responsive customer service.
Great iOS app.
Quick auto keystone. PS. you don’t need autofocus!
Sound is amazing not quite as good as Sonos but you can pair to an external speaker if want.
Whisper quiet fan.
Minor niggling points:
Micro USB not USB-C.
Can’t charge device AND play from external USB at the same time.
No case, but grab a drinks can neoprene sleeve 🙂
No tripod stand bundled with.
Note:
For some apps like NowTV or VPN you can’t use the native Nebula Android release but contact Nebula Customer Support and they’ll provide a fix.
The picture is good and the focus is easy to adjust. The projector is but no means HD so long as you accept that it’s all good. The customer service is excellent from Anker. They helped update the Google store so more apps can be used. This really helps open up the projector to access more of its potential. The remote app is really good and easy to set up.
Brightness is a drawback but again if you accept that and use it in the right indoor/outdoor conditions it’s spot on. If you want to extend it’s battery use a good quality powerbank. HDMI input works with ease and the projector options make it easy to select. 2 recommendations: 1 update to the latest firmware and contact Anker to add the Google playstore. 2 increase the brightness to Max from the factory settings. This improves the picture at the cost of battery running times, so you will need mains or good powerbank for longer movies etc. In summary, despite the design being older than it’s younger siblings it is the smallest to carry. Build quality is fantastic, interphase is good and with playstore a good range of apps are available. Use in the right lighting, accept it not HD and it’s a winner.

Even though the picture is not HD, it still makes for a great movie night and a great experience. If you’ve got a blank wall to project onto, highly reccomend getting one of these for a fab home cinema experience. You can move it around the house and its not big and clunky like most projectors. I bought a gorilla tripod to secure it on my headboard and it works well and feels sturdy. I am not someone who watches live TV, only netflix/iplayer/Disney Plus on occasion so I went for this instead of a TV on the wall and it has been perfect for this purpose. Only slightly frustrating thing is using your phone as the remote however you get used to navigating this after a while. Overall, highly reccommend!
We bought this projector whilst we were away on holiday to use in our camper, we have a perfect blank white wall that we use. Lovely clear pictures. Only issue we have is when people are talking the sound is out of sync but that is a problem with the fire stick we use. All round great product.
Easy to set up good quality overall for night time viewing
Did a lot of research before I bough this having sent back a higher spec model due to the battery being rubbish.
The res is only 480 but is superb for my van which is why I bought it and I have a 40″ drop down screen.
Comes pre installed with YouTube and Netflix. Contact nebula support and they will help you unlock the Google game store so you can get itv player, iPlayer, sky news, YouTube (which allows you to sign in) , and all the other apps you want like Disney and freeview etc.
mine was set up and running with all the apps within 10mins of getting an email back from nebula support.
I do like the remote control on the phone app but it takes some getting used to, but easy enough to navigate and you don’t have to worry about forgetting the remote.
USB mini plug for charging on the go with powerbank is brilliant and idea for my usage.
Ceiling mounted in the van, and can be viewed in daylight although obviously not ideal.
I paid 265 for this item and it’s well worth it as far as I’m concerned. Don’t expect 4k quality but for basic usage it’s fab.

Picture quality isn’t so bad considering it is a projector however the brightness on this model is quite low especially if you were to sit the projector further back from a screen. I’ve experienced constant lagging which is the reason I’ve had to return this. I had to buy a firestick because I thought it would help the audio/video lag but it was even worse. I guess you can’t ask for much from such a small projector but the price is crazy for it! and the battery life is not so great. Just having the projector on for 5 minutes made the percentage go from 100% to 95% and I’m not exaggerating. Unless you have a closeby socket to charge this then it’s fine, in my case i don’t and the wire is just slightly short. Buy if you’re willing to spend 300 on a slight laggy projector! But is a good piece of equipment for camping etc
Brilliant little Machine, small ,great picture and sound, charges quickly and on the go in the car. Has made our weekends in th motorhome so much better, it’s like having a home cinema. As it’s so small I can put it in my bag and carry it with me when we leave the van. Love it so much
Great bit of kit and small enough to take with me on my camping trips. Great service too. I initially had a problem setting it up but got in touch with them and they sent idiot proof instructions to get my sorted. The only thing I’m not keen on is the remote, some things you have to use your phone App rather than the remote but it’s such a great bit of kit I can live with tha
I love this projector! I was torn between this one and some cheaper ones for just under 200 and I’m so happy that I went with this one, the picture quality is excellent from small to huge screen sizes. I would recommend a tripod for it so you can place it where you like, the keystone correction only does so much.
The sound quality and battery life are both great. We bought ours for a campervan so this is perfect, you can change it with a USB or a portable charger so it’s ideal for campers.
I got this device 7 hours ago and have been trying to set it up before I leave for a trip tomorrow.
Getting it to charge, start up and connect to wifi and connect to the Mobile App was pretty easy and straightforward.
However getting it to work with the remote and the Apps like Netflix etc was very frustrating. Just when I had given up it suddenly all on its own came alive and since then everything has been working very smoothly.
Great product.
First of all, the picture quality is good for what it is, but when the projection size is >70″, you can really start to notice the lack of HD. While it’s still usable as a big screen, I prefer to use it as a TV sized projection to keep it sharp, clear and bright. I think it’s great if you’re looking for a first projector due to its ease of use and simplicity, but if you’ve used a better, higher spec projector before, then this one may not be good enough. That being said, I have a HD projector & a 4k TV, but this projector still does the trick for me as I wasn’t expecting too much from such a small package. One thing I noticed is that the video quality on Netflix is a bit choppy/unclear, as if the internet connection is not strong enough, but it’s fine on other apps and local files. To overcome this I’ve just been downloading content on Netflix and Amazon prime where possible. The built in speaker is great for watching movies/TV and also okay for listening to music, but it may still be a good idea to use a better Bluetooth speaker if you are going to be listening to music on it alot. The remote control is also awful as it can’t be used on many popular apps such as Netflix. You have to then either use the mobile app or the mouse cursor, which is a pain to use. One final thing I will say is that it’s worth getting a tripod with this, for maximum manoeuvrability.
Overall, I would definitely recommend this projector, but only at a discounted price as I do not think it’s worth the full price, as you would be better of finding a good deal on a full sized HD projector for a little bit more or the same cost.
I really love how portable it is and the sound is great! Couple of things I don’t like is the picture quality and the OS it comes with! It’s so old and can’t install much on it.
