Works great, Android app and IOS app both very similar and work well.
Picture quality is excellent, and was very straight forward to setup.
I only have one for now but will probably buy more and pay the subscription as its a good security solution.
Only complaint is when I use it on my Amazon echo show the picture is delayed approximately 3-5 seconds, but on the phone app is pretty much real time with very little delay.
I needed to replace baby monitor as battery died, this isn’t the best solution as a baby monitor in honesty as unless you have the app open it can take a few seconds to receive a notification and open up the app.
Not a criticism of the camera or service, just a fact that a video baby monitor is better for this purpose, but if you’re child is older and you just like to check in periodically then it’s great.

Night Vision is good, motion detection is good and will record 60 second clips without requiring a subscription but can record longer with the subscription.
To be clear, subscription is optional and not required to use the camera and app.

2 way talk function also works well with minimal delays.

All in all happy customer and will probably buy some more to use around the house.
Looks pretty cool too compared to other products I’ve used, very small and compact.

Good price, easy to setup and great picture quality.

They replaced Motorola Focus 35 cameras, which are getting tired.

The App is simple to use and video plays back well. You can record from your mobile, share access, toggle night vision and do generally everything you need (as an amateur for DIY).

There are, however some absent features. You should be able to view on an Echo. Unlike Ring, you can’t set ‘when neos senses movement’s do X either. The former doesn’t work, the latter isn’t an option.

Also, they’ve emailed re pricing of the premium package, its all over the place. Last month one price, this month another, with a whole new pricing structure for 2020. Crazy.

Very good camera for the money. With an SD card you have 24/7 coverage and the free cloud storage provides enough to be confident you’ll capture “most” things. Not a perfect system but the app is being updated so unfair to judge the software too much. The hardware itself is very good and the night vision is almost better quality than the day, though it does make an audible click every time it switches to night mode. The picture quality leaves a little to be desired but does work.

You’d probably be better off with a higher end camera set up if you were serious about home security but I’m happy this does an adequate job for internally and suits me perfect as a nursery camera.

Before I review the product can I address the other reviews I have seen on here about the intrusive information required during setup.
A lot of people complain it needs your address and phone location and ask why this is needed.
These cameras have an auto arming feature. When they detect your device (phone location info) leaving your property (home address info) they will auto arm and when you come home they will disarm. (Or you can manually switch this).
This is a feature of these cameras and that info is adjustable in the settings. If you do not want this to work and are concerned about your privacy then put generic info in the boxes. They do not verify the information. Your email address is required to use the download and view uploaded videos that they store for FREE on their remote servers for your security. The same as any site that requires a login to access data.
Also, to the people complaining about this, you are happy to upload videos of the inside of your home and the activity therein to their servers but get upset that they need your phone number as part of the registration process?? Most online accounts use a phone number backup for password reset confirmation codes etc..
Now that is out of the way..
I had a 500 arlo cctv system which I bought on amazon prior to this camera. It was ok.. but heavy maintenance, charging units, constant upgrades, firmware and app etc. And it was no better than these cameras with a very similar user interface and features.
I bought one of these to see what it was like and within 24 hours we bought 2 more they were so good. Zone selection, 2 way audio, very good clear room coverage, auto night vision, adjustable noise and motion sensitivity etc.
Set up was extremely easy but I had to quickly google how to set the devices up with Alexa show. This works really well but I have yet to discover if 2 way audio works with alexa show.. as yet i cannot use it to send audio to the camera, but can watch and listen to the cameras on the show. But this feature works well through the phone app.
The whole setup has worked so well I have now removed my expensive arlo system, bought sd cards for the neos cams for constant footage backup and even subscribed to neos boost. A couple of pounds a month for extended off site footage on their servers.
Overall, really happy but I hope they opt to include an outdoor cam soon so I can cover external areas all in the one app. This is sadly still a lacking addition.

I purchased my first one about a week ago and after spending a short time getting it to work to my satisfaction I experimented with it in different locations in my house.
I was so impressed that a couple of days ago I purchased a second camera that has performed in a similar manner to the first one.
The only hitch I have encountered so far is a recent failure to be able to connect to Alexa via an Amazon Fire Stick, but this was only a gimmick for me, as I use the cameras with my smartphones which works very well.
    UPDATE 9th Dec.
Alexa connection problem sorted and now working fine on both my cameras.

After researching the manufacturer and associated insurance company, I decided to get a quote for my building and contents cover which was very competitive, especially with a 20% reduction for using the cameras.
When my renewal date is due, I think they will be very high up my shortlist.

Love this thing so far, only downside is the iOS app is in serious need up updating and there’s no ipad version for some reason….
I had to turn the night vision off as I have the camera looking through a window, so when the ir is on all you can see it the reflection of the lights, but as I’m pointing it at my driveway and there are street lights I can see really well, though if you have this in a room I would think the night vision would be great.

Easy to set up – and I am tech challenged! I didn’t have to enter personal details, so possibly Neos have changed the process?? The camera is well designed, small and build quality is good. The app generally works well, picture quality and the sound of the recorded clips is impressive for under 20!! You can record out of a window, but needs to be placed very close to avoid reflection at night. I have recommended to friends and they are also happy with their purchase.

I had problems with a time out connection during setup, this was due to me downloaded the Wyze app instead of the Neos after the Neos apps was correctly installed setup was a breeze.

I currently have it linked to a Fire 8 tablet on the charging dock with Show mode enabled “Alex show me the front door”. Wait a few seconds and it displays on the tablet. So far it’s been flawless apart from the slight delay but that’s due to the WiFi connection, the picture quality is good both night and day. So if you need it for a cheap nanny cam it would do the job.
I may flash the RSTP firmware at a later point.

As others have commented the setup requires some personal information, things like email are mandatory for the registration link, but name and address umm… Not too sure about that how about? Mr M Mouse at 123 Sesame street that’ll work.
For a cheap camera that’s Alexa compatible it’s flipping awesome.

Vary good product, was easy to set up, it can’t be set up on a 5G network so slight downside but as more and more stuff transfer to 5G it will start to declutter the 2.4G network.
Just have to make sure you have a 2.4G network.

App is good and easy to use, very simple to alter sensitivity’s of motion and noice detection plus easy to flip picture for when camera is mounted upside down.

Plus it syncs to Alexa, so can see feeds on fire TVs and echo shows.

    Five stars in all categories!

I already have two Nest Cams for outdoor use that are considerably more expensive than this (and require an ongoing subscription too). While it’s true this only for indoor use so is not as robust as a Nest Cam, in pretty much every other respect this is equally good and comes for an almost “throw away” price. Incredible value for money and HIGHLY recommended.

The way the motion detection is presented (rectangle on image to see what it has spotted moving) is actually better than Nest – it’s good to know what the camera was “thinking”.

The Android app is also pretty good – again does a lot of things similar to Nest.

Great little cam does so much for 25.00 Im writing this review after seeing alot of people cant connect to fire stick or show. heres the secret

When setting up the cam you can name it , mine was called kitchen. Trying to connect through my Firestick caused major problems, although it was all paired and i could see the cam on my phone app. Saying ” Alexa show me kitchen ” just didnt work.

Now if you look at the camera settings, little cog on top right of the Neos App. Scroll down to Camera Name.

    Device Name = Smartcam
    Room = Kitchen

So Alexa wants to hear “Alexa show me Kitchen Smartcam” and bang 5 seconds and my cam is on a 32 inch TV. Note that both above names can be changed.

Hope this helps any of you having trouble connecting.

You really can’t go wrong with this Camera. I use this in the kitchen to keep an eye on my dog whilst im at work. It connects within seconds, and gives a really good quality stream. Its actually better than my RING camera outside it terms of picture quality. A feature I like is how the camera Arms itself when you leave the house; it knows you’re away so it will ping you a notification if it sees movement or noise. I was going to buy the RING camera at 90 but decided to give this one a go since it was so cheap but wasn’t expecting these results. The only problem I would say is the microphone isn’t the greatest and the night vision is reasonably ok; but apart from that I can’t fault it!

Great quality camera for the money, app is good but a bit buggy & only records 10 second clips without a monthly subscription. From what I can see this is like Wyze cameras sold in USA but less features in the software. As a security device I’m not sure how good only 10 second clips would be, but as a kid or pet camera, it’s a great solution, especially as you can talk back.

Really impressed for the price, bought this to monitor the interior of my motorhome incase there was ever a break in, tested this week in the house while I was away. motion detection seems really good, although there is a slight delay of a minute or so. picture quality is good and very surprised at the night vision quality.

My first camera. I have it watching outside my windows from the inside. It works brilliant.

During the day when we are at home, it just takes pics of constant movement.
It auto detects when we have left the house and then arms itself, taking videos of moving people and cars in the area.
You can arm it manually before bed.

You can also record live to your phone from the app as well as recording constantly to an sd card.

People in other reviews give out because of privacy concerns but to be honest they are unfounded.
The devices function is to arm itself based on your location so naturally its going to need gps access on your phone to do this. This is completely optional.
It also looks for your address for its location which again is optional.
If you are concerned about privacy then you can just setup the account and do no more than that.
I use all the features and it is great but then again I dont wear a tin foil hat so it is easy for me to do.
I gave it four stars for one reason and that is because of the setup.
The app scans for the closest ssid and auto populates it in the setup. The issue I had with this is that the ssid it populated was for the 5.8ghz wifi which the device is not capable of doing, so why it detected it is a mystery. The setup would fail until I worked out what was going on. As soon as I changed it to the 2.4GHZ ssid, setup worked immediately. The company should change the setup to display all networks so you could select the correct one.
Great product, going to buy another.

I am so impressed with this little camera! The picture quality is amazing for the price. Download the app, follow the on screen instructions, setup is simple and quick and it works very well. I have it pointed out of my front window because I wanted it for security and also to see what wildlife passes by.
It easily picks up neighbours coming and going in their cars and the postman coming up the drive. As others have said there are reflections if you point the camera through a window at night – I will play around with positioning, maybe if I can get the camera flush with the window this would be reduced but I will still be able to see any intruders or wildlife
For the money this is an amazing little camera. I have wanted one for ages but could not really justify the price tag if the more expensive models but I am so happy with this
It detects noise as well as motion so if the tv is on or we are speaking or coughing it alerts us – doing its job and I can see that I can adjust the sensitivity if I want to, which I may well do
I have had it less than a day but it seems good quality and I am very happy with it 🙂

Very impressed - 5 stars from me

Not compatible with google home, only Alexa. Often I have to open the app 4 or 5 times before it operates.( thats why i only gave 4 stars).

I’ve ordered some mounts to put up outside as the camera cost 20 I’m not too fussed by water damage.

Night vision on the camera is pretty good I do get glare off things that are white and my registration so I would recommend to try them at night to get the best spot for them to avoid glare all in all great camera

It can support 128GB SDCard regardless of what it says in the description. The constant recording can only be accessed by removing the SD Card from the device and viewing it on another device. There is a 5 minute motion and auditorial detection interval when uploading to the cloud: so if something happens in those 5 minutes since previous detection, you will have to manually check the SD Card. Finally the night vision is pretty bad and short range, especially if you are trying to use it out of a window: the infrared LEDs reflect off of the window in night vision.

Great value and decent app. However I think that a big concern for me is how secure it is. There is no Multifactor Authentication option to login to your account so it is vulnerable to being hacked, which is a concern considering if anyone is able to breach it then they have access to live video and audio. You can’t see the last time that you logged in either, making it difficult to see if anyone else is logging into your account.

Excellent product and I have spent money on quite a few cameras before coming across the Neos. Quality of picture is great for such a small camera both in the daylight and in the dark. It is small and inconspicuous so does not look unsightly whether you use the provided self adhesive plate the camera is magnetized to (which is very strong) or just stand alone. I am considering the external case so that I can use one of these instead of an expensive doorbell that you have to pay a premium for, such as Ring. I am very happy with my purchase and would certainly recommend this to anyone wanting a little more security or even as a monitor for animals etc.

The fact you can buy it directly from neos company for only 20 is extremely annoying that I paid 25 for it here. I feel cheated but also silly that I didn’t investigate this first. Go directly to the brand to buy at the best price not Amazon!

I’ve Had it less than a week and so far super good. Only downside is it needs to be permanently plugged into mains, this is why it’s lost a star with me.

Best WiFi camera I have had the pleasure to use. Easy to set up! The app is amazing, you can ask the makers questions on the app and they will respond. The camera has a great picture and it will record video for you to instantly view in a neat little file of videos showing you each incident of motion or sound.

You can leave it on your phone to notify you of these small events for you to go and view. It’s very handy.

Most wifi cameras do not record 12 seconds of video and allow you to view it without an SD card! So I find this feature great.

It does take a SD card and also has an upgrade on the app that allows you small extras like 1 minute of recording instead of 12 seconds for something like 3.49 a month. It’s not too bad of a price for the extra protection on as each camera you buy.

Overall I’m super impressed with this cam! I have 2 and its been so much easier than the multiple WiFi cameras I have brought elsewhere which have broken and let me down over and over again.

First of all the reality is that this is a cracking little camera that is almost cute in it’s design – intentional of course – is well made and the system works brilliantly.

However, lets make a correction. The Amazon description is incorrect when it states that recordings are kept for seven days on the cloud. They are not. Each 12 second clip is saved for 24 hours – which of course you can download.

All is not lost of course because, you can insert a microSD card and run on a continuous loop making your own recordings which, you can download. Simple, easy and cheap and will of course avoid the eventual roll out costs of a long term on line storage subscription.

The above advertising niggle aside, this is a brilliant bit of kit. Genuinely well made with an appealing design. Even more impressive is the cost which, is cheap as chips for what it is, especially being UK designed (not manufactured of course) and supported.

Easy to set up. Really easy especially with the no nonsense videos.

Now, I do see some people hating the idea of registering details. Well, if you use the internet and of course IP cameras with online storage it is a fact of life. All IP camera companies want this information but, I trust NEOS more than most because it is a British company based in the UK and is allied to the largest insurance company in the UK as well. You are as safe as any internet based camera system can be. If you don’t want that ‘risk’ then buy a NVR and POE cameras and don’t connect to the internet.

I wanted this for outside to be honest, despite being an indoor camera. So, I bought a small enclosure for it and put it near my hedgehog feeding station to keep an eye on Spiney. Works a treat.

Only one more thing to note, is that on the Neos website it’s sold at twenty quid so cheaper than here.

Good value, a nice little camera. Took me a while to set it up – but that’s because I’m an IT dinosaur! Sometimes it is hard to connect when I want to dip in and dip out to check on what’s happening. Help/Support team could be better. Would have been useful to have had a spare magnetic stick on disc. But overall, I’m really glad I got it.

Golden Review Award: 46 From Our Users…it literally is.

Honestly when I ordered the camera to review it, I did not expect much, considering the price under 30 which is for home cameras already low, let alone for cameras with features such as motion detection and night vision.

In addition you get a companion app which is in it self brilliant, you can watch any notifications, videos recorded and live feeds for it, have a ton of settings for adjustments and the best of all GEO FENCING!
This feature alone would make the camera way more worth then it actually costs and much expensiver systems I have or have tested such as Blink or Arlo do not have this feature at all.

Some might find it intrusive that the app asks you for your address, but given it features Geo fencing as one if its main features, this can only work with your location obviously and compared to many other apps which just track your location, this app asks you for the address to allow you to set the geo fencing area correctly.

If you do not want that , you can basically enter what ever you like there, but for me it is one of the most important features to have it automatically armed and disarmed when I come and go.

In terms of picture Quality, it is very good during the day , although not up to 1080p as advertised, while the resolution is 1080p, it is a bit pixelated, specially with higher motion, but more then good enough to identify objects and persons without any problem.

Same is true for the Night vision, its quite grainy but good enough to identify all objects, persons , etc. and given that low price I would have expected worse.

Motion Detection works very well and fast even in night vision but flawless during the day.

My most loved feature about this camera is definitely the Geo fencing so I have it set to turn active when I leave the house and when my phone comes close to the house it disables the alarm notifications, a feature I wished our Blink System has which we use for outdoors.

Yes the camera is plastic, but from a high quality one and it can be adjusted in nearly every angle and also the setup process which is guided by the app was a breeze, everyone can do it.

I just wait if they ever make outdoor versions of it, I am one of the first one buying it, alone for the fact that it does not need a Hub and also records on SD card.

One of my best purchases lately 🙂 Very pleased!

Fazit: Don`t expect of course a camera with a picture quality of expensive security cameras, but I have seen and tested many counterparts and none of them came close in terms of features and quality and ease of use and for home use and even in small offices I think this is a great purchase.

Mindblowing Quality for that low price...

Image quality is good, so is the motion detection. There’s a few improvements to be made with the settings, which I’m sure will be resolved over time. Overall a very good piece of equipment and good value for money. There is a section where you can make suggestions and vote for existing ones, so improvements can be looked into. Five stars if they can make the few changes I’ve voted on which others have already suggested.

I’m so pleased with this product that I’ve instantly bought another lol. It’s everything I hoped for. Easily plugs into a mains socket, connects to your home WiFi. It can record off the cloud or via SD card (I have both) records with motion detection (12 second clips), you can watch live and manually record, screenshot and talk through the camera. It’s so cute and small, fits well on my window sill. It zooms in as well.
Some reflections as expected looking through the window but even then the quality is great.
Hoping to catch the dog owner that keeps letting their dog poop on my property and doesn’t clean it up!
And of course for home security as well.
The pictures I’ve included are day light, dusk, zoomed in dusk and night.

    Couldn’t recommend this camera enough!

Very impressed with this camera. Easy to set up, excellent quality picture and incredibly low price for what you get. It is designed to be an indoor camera but I have it facing externally from my front window. During the day the image quality is perfect, at night the glare restricts some areas of visibility, but is not designed to be used the way I have it set up. The notifications are generally OK, although you need to tweak the settings to avoid constantly being pinged, and some events don’t get captured as specific clips. This can be a non-issue by using a memory card which will record constantly, allowing you to find something that may not have been tacked as a specific event. Very highly recommended.

For the price it is a great internal camera with lots of good features such as cloud storage as well as microsd card, app controlled, simply setup. However, it does have some shortcomings such as unable to view footage stored on the microsd through the app (ie only via computer). No control over the sound when in live view mode. Always continuously records on microsd. Unable to set photo of the camera. I have to say the iSmart camera is better.

Absolutely love this tiny Neos CCTV camera – it’s such a well made item with video quality and features matching many of the big brand named CCTV cameras on the market.

The Neos is extremely easy to set-up via the App and there are a number of monitoring options you can set within the software. I liked the camera so much I now have 2 of them and in the Neos App you can set them as armed and disarmed with a simple switch on the Home overview page.

The camera has a built-in stand which is great if you need to lift it slightly, it also has 2 way speech so you can talk to and speak back to anyone in the vicinity of the camera, the angle of view is very wide, and picture quality excellent. There’s also the ability to record all notifications if you insert a micro SDHC card.

A great device – thoroughly recommended.

The price of this camera is really good, the app is good as well, however there are some features which need sorting out. There is no zoning of movement so you have to play with the settings to get it right, this is a pain. I decided in the end to use an outside mount for it and have it under a porch, camera quality is very good although the IR isnt extremely powerful for excellent night vision, the alerts were impossible though, zoning needs to be implemented. Good thing is the support team seem keen to help and get involved with discussion about improving the camera and its software so maybe in the future there will be improvements which make me come back to the Neos cam, at the moment I am sticking with my Ring floodlight which has zoning, better night vision and solid app, albeit almost 10 times the price!

Used to monitor my property during a 2 week holiday. Easy to set up and mount in right location. All working fine. Pic quality is good but don’t go expecting to be able to read number plates at 50M for example. Movement detection is good but the out of the box setting is too sensitive for me which meant I was getting 30-50 notifications per day of activity and when I viewed the clip it would be a branch of a tree moving slightly or similar. However, once adjusted, it is OK. Night vision works pretty well but the IR LED’s are very obviously ON so any real intruder would spot the cameras pretty easily. The App and server works pretty good and I also have an Echo Show 5 and this integrates with the NEOS cams very well too. Overall for 25 its about as good as it gets! Perfect for keeping an eye on delivery drivers, pets, kids etc but it’s no match for a proper wired CCTV system of course.

Good quality camera works well in every function, perfect solution for drop in / activity monitoring , however not continuously on for constant viewing. Not suitable for uninterrupted viewing / monitoring. The option of streaming on would be good in order to allow use as say baby monitor or security viewer also. Would be five stars with this feature option .

An excellently priced WiFi camera with motion record. The picture quality is incredible for this price point, it’s been in my living room for over a month and has never dropped out. The audio recieve and speaker is lacking quality but that’s not the main reason you’d buy this.

The motion sensor records 15ish seconds from capture and saves it to the cloud accessable from the app on your phone.

Very easy to set up and the app is a breeze to use.

    Highly recommended.

These cameras are excellent. The quality of phenomenal for the price.
I previously had ‘cleverdog’ cameras and these Neos one a blow them out of the water.
The night vision can be disabled meaning you can have them pointing through a window at nighttime and not have the glare back off the infrared.

Only gripes are you can’t replay video direct from your camera app, it’s SD card out and into a PC.

The detection area for the motion detection is the full camera view. There is no zoning off, so if you’ve got a tree constantly moving in the wind you’ll get constant alerts all day long.

Comes with a plug and a very long FLAT usb cable which is easy to stick into place as opposed to a regular circular cable
Also comes with a metal base that can be double sided onto the camera.

I’m very impressed with this little camera. I had some issues setting up as my phone tried to fill in the Wifi details automatically which resulted in the camera being unable to connect. You’ll need to enter these manually for it to work. Suprisingly easy setup apart from the wifi issue which caught me out. I bought this to keep an eye on my dog whilst I was away, for security and to see what my sister was up to as she often visits whilst I am out!

Arms when I leave the house and records a short clip if it detects motion. I’ve put an microSD card in the camera for this purpose. I can hear the sound very clearly and can talk through the camera remotely too (although my dog is deaf so defeats the object). Picture is really clear. I am now thinking of getting one for the front of the house instead of one of those doorbells (heard there is a massive delay with those). The app is very easy to use. For the price this camera is amazing!

I absolutely love these little cameras. So much so I’ve now bought 3!
They’re a nice little design with great picture quality-even at night.
You can save pictures or clips to your phone from the app which is handy and you can also talk to a selected camera through the app too.
There is a slight lag in them and the sound quality isn’t amazing but I can live with that.
I like that I can see my house when I’m out and the motion/sound detection seems to go off when it needs too and I can check it on my phone.
They work great through the app and also with the Echo show 5.

My only issue is I can not turn the cameras off. When I disarm them they are still running but not recording any detection. For privacy I’d like to turn them off completely.

    Great cameras

I am not technical try to be off line as much as possible – this through another was shown – it is so easy as long as you follow the instructions methodically – in the set up – We use it to watch the front door and dog whilst out and the dogs sleeping room – Taken away all the worry of security and how the dog is when we are out – also reacts to shadows over the front door – admitted we face the sun/light – Just a shame the print is so small on the simple instructions and it took me ages to find the app – two things to improve on – a nifty little thing wont replace outdoor CCT but does add to your armoury –

Great little camera for keeping an eye on my dog. I find the sound and motion detection excellent- it’s definitely worth experimenting with sensitivity levels. Could easily be used for security purposes.

I have docked a star because I occasionally find that the connection with my phone fails and can’t be retrieved until I have turned the camera off and on again. This happens even when my phone is connected to a strong Wi-Fi signal.

I can talk to my dog if she is a bit unsettled. I think she finds that quite confusing, but it at least distracts her for a bit!

Not sure about all these weirdos who won’t provide their location to the camera YOU CAN SKIP THIS IF YOU WANT as this automatically arms the device when you leave your hours that the reason for it – What on earth do they think they’re going to do with this information, after all your ordering it from a mail order company so how did they find you to deliver it??? I was dubious of these but now have 8 of them covering all non-private areas of my property.

The wire leading to them is flat enough to clip with small 3M clips so they aren’t prominent or you could place them in trunking. The base of the camera is magnetic and because of this it is incredibly easy to mount anywhere.

I currently use two as baby monitors, and the other 8 for home security. I have two facing through windows into the garden. With all cameras you can individually set the sensitivity for motion and noise detection, meaning the garden cameras work great and only detect large objects (people) not small objects (birds and bushes).

The setup process isn’t too intrusive – the address information is just use to get a GPS pointer on a map – which you can move anyway. I put a different address and moved the pointer. Setup also takes around 5 minutes per camera, including firmware updates. One thing I did find is that I needed to crash the iPhone app after 5 minutes of the firmware installing because it got stuck. But this didn’t impact the camera or connectivity at all.

Night vision works great and image quality is ok – but not 100% fantastic. For the price of the camera the image quality is amazing. The two way communication works well with minimal delay.

I did use auto arming for a while, but I had currently disable this as the app doesn’t seem to locate my wife’s phone well. We both have iPhones but hers seems to disconnect from the app. Meaning she will go home and I get notifications saying movement in the house. Before this issue it worked well.

The Alexa skills are ok, but slightly slow to load (10-15 seconds). However if you have cameras in separate building or a garage and want to have a peek at midnight it is very convenient. This works on Fire TV and Echo Show.

The app is great and constantly updated. The cameras only take a few seconds to load if you have a good signal. You get a snapshot from the last half hour or so on the home screen then you can go into each camera for a live view. It saves 5 second clips when the house is armed and motion or noise is detected. If you put a micro SD card in then it records constantly and overwrites old data first. These clips are saved into 1 minute files in folders on the SD card. Currently you can only view this on a PC – which is no big deal. I believe the developer is currently looking to introduce a viewing mechanism in the app.

You can turn the power light off from the back (through the app) if you want the camera hidden. Or keep it on – I have the one in the conservatory in to deter intruders.

The cameras work in different networks (I have two WiFi networks) and link to the same account in the app for easy browsing.

I believe these are a fantastic addition to any home security setup. I currently have a monitored alarm, and now if that goes off I can view my entire house from anywhere in the world and call the police if needed. For 25 a camera that peace of mind cannot be matched.

Great product, great price and great customer service when I have needed to ask questions.

This little camera is excellent. Setup is quick and the privacy concerns previously raised (providing home address on sign up) have been address by the developer. The base of the camera (the light grey bit) is magnetised which means it is easy to position – a metal disc and double sided sticky pad are also included for tool free mounting. There is a little lag based on what you are viewing and this should be expected. My router is in the attic so wifi is good downstairs but not strong – the camera live stream was a little patchy as a result but moving it upstairs the issue goes with a stronger wifi signal.

This product is excellent. We have had it only for about 1 week but I still can’t believe the value for money and the pics it produces. Night vision works and is very clear. It doesn’t need a subscription and for the quality of the pics I would have expected this to be in the same price region as some of the well know security brands out on the market. Do note it is super sensitive to movement so you do need to work out where to place your camera and tweak settings, but to would rather have this than nothing at all. Thank you for a wonderful product I feel at ease leaving the house!

Super little security camera at a great price I was sceptical when I brought this because it was so cheap however the quality of the picture in both day and night mode are exceptional at this price point.

This works with my amazon show 5 all you need to do is enable the skill with the Alexa app and your video feed can be displayed on the screen you can also access this camera from the smartphone app for both iOS and Android I have an iPhone and the app works flawlessly.

If movement is detected the camera records a 15 sec clip and uploads it to amazons cloud where it will stay for 15days allowing you to view it or download it onto your phone after 15 days clips are automatically deleted and this is all included free of charge unlike some more expensive cameras that require you buy a storage subscription.

    I can’t this recommend enough

It’s smart looking, a great stand which means it can be positioned quite well. But the sound quality (both ways) is awful, night vision is pretty poor to unless something is within a metre of the camera and not in pitch black. The picture during the day is okay, but would have expected better for 1080p still. The notifications are good and the app is good also.

I was a bit put off at first considering it used to require your address and phone number, allegedly to do auto arm/disarm when you arrive or leave home. Now it’s been removed and you are able to choose the auto-disarm based on your phone GPS and it’s optional.
    Pros:
The image quality is excellent. Crispy colours and a good angle of view enough to capture a full room wall to wall from a central point.
The night view is good too, the usual black and white with clear imaging.
The camera is a nice super small cube with an extending magnetic base which means you can easily place and adjust it anywhere, vertically and horizontally. You can even place it upside down.
The app works perfectly well, and is simple to use.
Comes with a white USB cable and plug, and is long enough.
Integrates with Alexa just fine. You can view the camera live feed almost real time (maybe 2-3 secs delay).
    There’s 2-way audio!
It captures noises as well as motion.
Motion detector comes with face tracking, although not sure that means anything really.
    Cons:
The motion detector is too sensitive and captures even the glare of the sun in my rooms.
The noise detector can be sensitive too, as my upstairs neighbour steps easily trigger it.

It’s such a good bargain I ended up buying a second one.

At 20 each these are a steal. I would recommend that these are used in a home with MESH wifi as they need a good strong signal.

Setup is relatively easy and the tech support and after sales team seem really keen to keep your custom. All app settings are done through an app (I’ve tested this on iOS) and it is stable and easy to use. It links with Amazon Alexa and through voice commands can show you the camera on you TV if you have a ‘fire tv’ device.

The camera records 12s snippets of video if motion or sound are detected and saves this to the cloud for free. It then stops for 5 minutes. If you want to record all video and audio an micro sd card can be insterted into the camera.

An option to store video to network attached storage would be great, however at the price the feature set is reasonable. considering NEST cameras are 6-7 times this price and that’s not factoring their very expensive cloud storage facilities.

    Recommended.

The unit itself is dinky and the base is magnetic which is very handy.
The camera is really easy to set up. You download the app, plug the camera in, get it ti read a QR code that the app produces and it is done.
The motion and sound detection system works really well and you can set the camera to arm and disarm using the gps on your phone.
The picture quality is great and the app is so easy to use. I am literally blown away by this product so I now have 2 of them.

I have only had this camera for a few days so have not really had time to be in a position to give a full in depth review. However, one thing I can comment on is installation. I notice a few reviews stating that the reviewers met with problems at this stage. I can honestly say that I had no problems whatsoever, I downloaded the app from the Play Store to my phone and then followed instructions and everything worked first time – maybe I was lucky, I don’t know. First impressions are good, the camera shows a good quality picture, motion detection works very well indeed, the sound is okay and the night vision seems to be good. As for everyday use, I need to get more familiar with the software before commenting, so will return at at a later stage and update this review. All I will say is, so far anyway, I have no regrets, especially as I got it on an offer price of 19.99 inclusive.

This camera is just brilliant. We have a house full of Nest Cams and got this free with home insurance. Was skeptical at first as used to Nest but after a simple install it was up and running and I was blown away. Great picture quality day and night, app works nicely and the fact you get 14 days cloud backup for nothing is amazing!! We used this to keep an eye on the dogs at night in their little house and loved it so much that went and brought another one for the garage. If you are reading this considering buying one I say go for it you won’t regret it.

Picture quality is very good but sound not so, although not tried it again so it might be ok since an update, it picks up noise ok but a bit tinny the other way.
Motion detection is good as are the notifications you get for them. I had one camera pointed out of a window to keep an eye on our car while away in Spain, kept getting notified when a car went passed our house. Setting up is ok and the app let’s you change the settings easily.
All in all, a great super value camera. For the price you can’t go wrong.

Great picture quality. Very easy to set up. I would knock off Half a star though, for a couple of missing options which would make these little cameras unbeatable. 1. I’d like to be able to set the area where I want it to detect motion. I’ve got a Neos camera looking into my driveway and it detects every car that passes the gate. The option to restrict the detection zone would be great and reduce “false” activations . 2. The cameras can only deal with one detection every 5 minutes, fine in most circumstances but not ideal. That said, they are brilliant and I’m optimistic that future updates might introduce new features, as the same cameras (with a different name) are popular in the other side of the Atlantic, and have the features which I’d like to see added here. Just buy one (I’ve got 4).

I bought this camera to survey the car park outside my house (thro window) I just switched off IR lights coz they will reflect off glass. Street lighting ample for good video. Cloud recording excellent, but I still inserted SD card which stores one minute clips for about aweek in SD. Oldest clips deleted to make room for new ones. I do hope the helpful guys at NEOS will enable SD viewing direct from camera as they have said they hope to do soon. Also,it would be great to be able to view on Windows PC. I would gladly pay for an upgraded app to enable these additional features. All in all, these are great cameras and I am going to order another one. Highly recommended. ( Come on Neos, add the extra features for us !!) Thanks.

Golden Review Award: 35 From Our UsersAddendum July 2020:

I am amending my original review from 1 star to 4, in recognition of the fact that Neos did make changes to their mobile application which addressed enough of my privacy concerns for me to not only begin using the camera I initially purchased but to go on to purchase an additional three other units.

The primary issue that I identified in my initial review was rectified some time later. It is now possible to add cameras to your setup by specifying Wifi networking details manually and thus avoid the need to give the Neos mobile application access to Location services on your mobile phone. Since I’d already signed-up for a Neos account which was still active, I can’t comment as to what personal information may now need to be provided there, or otherwise.

I feel it also fair to add that now I’ve been using them for 6+ months, I am extremely impressed with the performance and functionality of the cameras. I think the best endorsement I can offer is that, as mentioned, I’ve gone on to purchase and deploy 3 further devices on my property.

Note: if you choose to install cameras externally (which I fully acknowledge is not the manufacturer’s intended use-case) it has been my experience that; a) night vision mode relies upon not having a cover over the lens ring which will cause massive reflection of the IR lighting, obscuring the camera’s view and b) you will get continual triggering from moths etc., so you’ll end up disabling motion tracking on those cameras due to the amount of false alarms.

    Original Review:
In short, as others have already noted, in order to even setup a camera for first use the app demands far too much private information that it has no technical need for. Yes, I understand that the “auto-arming” feature requires location services to be enabled on my phone. However this is also described as an optional feature, which can be disabled. Therefore there is absolutely no need to insist that my location is given away, just be to be able add a camera. What happened to the simple option of entering my wireless network’s SSID manually? Combine that with its insistence on having me provide a street address during initial online account registration (I ‘borrowed’ one from a famous UK landmark..) and it just leaves a nasty taste in my mouth. Shame, on paper it looks incredible value but the user experience is ruined for me by the company’s insistence on collecting private information which it has no legitimate or necessary use for. And yes, I’m aware that Neos has recently posted comments addressing this issue to the effect that they are “looking into” making it possible to pair the camera without location services. Weasel words. This should have been implemented out of the gate if they really had any regards for, or common sense surrounding, user privacy concerns.

Golden Review Award: 142 From Our UsersUpdate** Neos boost paid upgrade addresses many of the comments in my original review, well done for listening to customer comments.
Original review Neos SmartHome great response to queries on Facebook. excellent picture quality. Supposed to be indoors only but can record out windows but needs to be in intimate contact to avoid glare from night vision leds.
Good motion detection. However, potential buyers be aware that Neos records 12s of video to cloud and then has a 5 minute cool off period before recording again. This means that the burglars can run round and round your house and not be recorded to cloud.
Apparently a SD card will record all events but this is only useful after the robbery and assumes that the Neos has not been stolen. Still great value for 20 but need to be aware of this limitation. Neos seem to be listening to customer feedback so outdoor variants, longer recording times may be added as an evolution of the product.

Excellent quality for the price. Limitations largely fixed with Boost upgrade.

I have now bought three of these, so obviously I think they are good. Setup is a bit sensitive to distance from the WiFi hub, though. I had a few problems, then moved closer to the hub, where set up worked fine, then moved the camera to its intended position, where it still worked fine.

The leak sensors are massively useful, and I got one positioned under the kickboard under the kitchen sink. So much so, that It’s already alerted me to the kitchen sink overflowing! What a saviour.

One Negative, we need better integration like Alexa Routines…. or google home!

If you have a room that goes pitch black (that you can’t even see your hand in front of your face) really pitch black! Then this will not disappoint. I placed mine inside my garage to keep an eye on the garage door to make sure my son shuts it (see attached photos ). Camera came well packaged and with short but very easy detailed instructions, usb cable power adapter (similar to apple) and mounting plate if needed.

    Awesome night vision!!!

Golden Review Award: 78 From Our UsersI had 3 weeks ago bought the Chinese “Clever Dog” camera which was a complete waste of time as it constantly froze and was loosing Wi-Fi connection regularly and when it did work the live stream was juddery and glitchy even tho I have Vigin super fast vivid 200 broadband with Wi-Fi extenders around the house, eventually I got so fed up of it and returned it to seller for a refund

However I bought this little miracle Neos Camera last week from Neos a Uk company after checking out the American version (wyze) on Youtube , and MUST say what a fantastic piece of high tech camera, it is easy to set up, so easy to use, the camera and the app quality are amazing!

Golden Review Award: 173 From Our UsersI work in IT and my home is filled with gadgets and I have to say I am thoroughly impressed with this camera.
The app is excellent, feels like a lot of time and effort has gone into making it. The build quality of the camera itself is very good too. Really impressed that videos really are stored using end to end encryption, details are in the FAQ.

Love the auto arming motion detection feature

Edit: I’ve had the camera for just over 1 week now and fairly acquainted with it. Still very impressed overall. A few extra things I’d like:

Control over app notifications, I don’t want a notification every time I leave the house and the camera arms itself.
The ability to exclude areas from night vision detection. My TV triggers night vision on and off quite often.

I’ll update this review as and when the app and functionality is updated.
