Great vacuum, fits onto my sawbench and all my power tools.
With the tools plugging into the Nilfisk it only starts when you start the power tool. Excellent.

Great product! Nice and simple, easy to clean and seriously powerful. The power through feature allowing it to work with power tools works perfectly.

I use it without the supplied bag and when sucking up very fine dust the filter needs to be cleaned off quite regularly, but that’s understandable. Seems well made and good value for money. Capacity is huge and can also be used to winterise a hot tub.

The blow function is very useful for cleaning radiators but be careful as made a bit of a mess the first time that I used it!!

Have used this machine for general purpose interior and exterior, also car cleaning duties and found it to be excellent in all respects. Slightly on the heavy side, but by no means unmanageable. Pipe storage could be improved, though I have seen worse. Only downside is expensive additional extras, filters and bags. The dry bag storage capacity is huge.

I bought this in 2020 and it has been outstanding performer while building my extension and new garage workshop. Suction power is awesome whether for water or dust. It becomes very heavy when the bag is getting full but that is the trade off between a large or smaller capacity vacuum. Fantastic for inflating/deflating a very large paddling pool which is done in less than a minute! Super long hose so less need to move it around. Bags are reasonably priced for replacement but is a shame they are sealed for single use. I have toyed with the idea of cutting off the bottom and fixing velcro so that the bag could be emptied and re-used. Only negative is it needs a quick release cable holder.Overall a great product and highly recommended.

I bought this hoover for car cleaning iv had it for 6 months now and cant honestly pick one thing bad with it at this price i cant imagine anything with more suction its almost hard to moove the nozzle across the carpet of the car. Best hoover iv used also use it in the garden on the patio and gutters. Absolutely love i

Takes everything you throw at it. I’ve used it for a complete house renovation and it’s fantastic. 1 year in the suction is so powerful that it could suck rotten fence posts out of the ground.

I wouldn’t hesitate to buy another.

An excellent product – powerful suction – vg value for money (cf well known other makes!) Bought in the first instance for cleaning carpets in car which it does effectively, forget the hand held lithium vacuums which are not powerful enough. I bought this Nilfisk after asking my garage which make they use for cleaning cars. Also have used for indoor carpets, around the skirting; useful attachments for reaching up to cornice. Also have used ‘wet’ function for cleaning leaves out of gutter and surface drains and unblocking shower waste pipe. Wish I’d heard of Nilfisk 100 years ago!

Quality little vacuum, butprobably not just as well suited to commercial type work as I had hoped. Regards wet lifting, it’s not bad but I’ve used a parkside with a similar wattage power which lifted cleaner. But when used with slow controlled strokes it will lift well enough. Not used it dry yet as it wasn’t what I bought it for.

Really wanted the smaller size model, but that costs 50 more. This was on offer. It has very strong suction, so make sure the air vent is set low or you will be lifting the carpet. The unit is very easy to move. I do like the 13amp socket, this feature allows another electrical device to be used as an extension.

We bought the hoover for our birdroom and DIY projects and we are very pleased with it.
It comes with a generous hose and cable unlike others we’ve bought in the past.
We can leave the hoover in the corner of our 15’x 10′ birdroom without moving the unit at all, thanks to the 5 metre long hose.
The suction is outstanding and we wouldn’t hesitate in recommending it to others. Ours is the 30litre model

Because it is very large and somewhat chunky although lightweight for its size, you wouldn’t want to be dragging this around inside your house unless you lived in a palace!
It is brilliant for outside use as it has extra long hose perfect for hoovering cars. Has very large inner bag which I still haven’t emptied even after 2 years. I had a flood in my studio and it was brilliant at sucking up the water and using the tool head vacuuming the wooden floor to get every bit of water out.
    Highly recommended.

Had this vacuum for 5 months now and it’s been used for all sorts including plaster dust and chunks of rubble. Suction is great and it deals with everything. The bags are easy to fit and take a long time to fill up. It’s quite loud but worth it for building work. Would recommend

I have had dysons and sharks but this is the best hoover ever powerful long hose large capacity wet and dry features and extra long hose perfect absolutely the best hoover ever totally recommend it. It’s also quiet running considering the suction power it’s lightweight but massive capacity and the hoover bags last ages I have a 3 bed house a Belgian shepherd and a cat the bags last 6 weeks or more with hoovering done everyday. I’m disabled and in a electric wheelchair and due to the hose length I can use it if needed but I do not but my friend absolutely agrees it’s the best hoover so much so they bought one for themselves. Fantastic build quality and tools all fits together for easy storage very happy with this hoover no loss of suction ever.

We love it! We’re a construction firm and we’ve used our new NilFisk straight out the box on an attic/loft conversion. It’s been through as tough-a-job as you could put a vacuum through. Hoovering up brick dust/rubble, lime mortar, general construction mess etc and it hasn’t missed a beat. We’re buying one each at this rate – really superb tool.

Brilliant - tough, works great and takes everything you can throw at it.

Much quieter that what I had before. Has a blow as well as a suck feature. Super long hose means that I can reach most work stations without things around. Hose adapter fits the majority of my power tools. I’ve given a middle rating for “thickness” & “sheerness” as I have no idea what they relate to. Decent accessories. Storing hose using supplied clips is a bit of a faff so I don’t bother but if you want to store hose and all accessories on the unit you can. You can also plug the tool into the vacuum reducing the number of power outlets. Recommended

I bought this primarily to use as a vacuum to connect to power tools, and it functions well. Shortly after I received it I had an unfortunate bathroom sewage problem with a bad flood, and this vacuum literally paid for itself by rescuing a very unpleasant situation . It dealt with the resulting mess very quickly and stopped the dirty water etc. seeping through and ruining the ceiling below. I can’t imagine how I would have been able to deal with the mess with this vacuum. Highly recommended.

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersBought this to replace a Karcher WD3.500P which broke as I wanted a vacuum with a power tool feed socket.

The Nilfisk is nice and powerful and also pretty light. Easily as powerful as my broken Karcher.

The internal filter is huge and the bin will take a numatic bag which is pretty good because they are good quality and cheap.

The vac itself holds all the tools on the body of the machine, the hose wraps around and locks into some storage clips which is a nice touch. The lead stores around the handle at the top of the machine and the pipes fit into the base.

The machine arrived and I used it to clean up my shed and then vac out the car, then I noticed the hose pipe end had a split in it.
    It literally lasted one day.
The material it is made from seems quite brittle.

Amazon are replacing it but I’m rather disappointed that it lasted literally 30 minutes out of the box.

Good suction but pipe is brittle

Golden Review Award: 11 From Our UsersNeeded to replace my ageing Henry vacuum for workshop dust extraction on power tools. Agonised for ages about purchasing this vacuum due to mixed reviews and because I really wanted a Festool one…. but they’re 3 – 4 times the price of this! Cannot fault it after a month of use in a workshop. Please note I use this in conjunction with a Cyclone attachment (Oneida dust deputy) so filters and bag stay clean (never change a bag again – unless you knock it over ….Opps!).

Golden Review Award: 17 From Our UsersDo you know what is better than dyson mini cyclones ™ and bag-less no loss of suction ?……..Absolute raw horsepower!

The suction on this thing is amazing. Easily better than much more expensive vacuum cleaners I have used. It has an industrial quality about it and it feels very rugged.
You need to decide what is most important to you, having a fancy, shiny and fragile vac that doesn’t work very well or a well built industrial beast that gets the job done.

I am using this vac as my normal house carpet vac. Its around 200 cheaper than a dyson! Takes up about the same amount of space as a dyson ball vac and holds about 4 times as much dirt.
Yep, it uses bags (they are actually optional, but it means cleaning the main filter more often), but the bags are MASSIVE and last for ages and I have found them for sale for 2 each. That means you have to get through 100 bags before you break even with just the cost of the dyson ball.
Plus its a wet vac too!

It comes with a wet / dry vac head which works ok on carpet, but is more designed for hard surfaces.
However Nilfisk do a mutli carpet head that fits this vac and it was only 11, recommended purchase if you are doing a lot of carpet.

A few reviews have also mentioned that there isn’t any where to store the power cable. If you noticed when it comes out of the box the power cable is wrapped and tucked under the top handle on the vac. This is the best place for it. Would have been nice if Nilfisk has put a picture of that in the instructions. Nevermind.

I can’t recommend this vac enough.

A nice, easy to use, powerful vacuum cleaner.
Quite basic to operate, which is not a bad thing at all. Easy to assemble, and easy to put back into the box for storage (I’ve had some that must be packed by Tetris world champions – I can never get them back into the box).
Some reviews have mentioned the noise, but I also have a Vax cylinder cleaner and it is quieter than that.
A 3-pin socket is on the front of the cleaner, to which you can operate power tools and suchlike from. An interesting concept which means that the cleaner and the device making the mess are run from one socket and very near to each other.
It comes with the basic vacuum-cleaner tools and others are available. Several tools can be stored on the top, as curved grooves on the lid match the curves of the tools.
It can self-clean the filter and more advanced models of this have a variable power control.
The manual is very basic, but isn’t really required.

Looks and feels good in use, but not as powerful as a ‘Henry’.

It took a while to ‘put together’ hanging all the bits and pieces off in the correct places and connecting the hose etc (not that some bits arrive stored inside the barrel. Eventually everything is stowed well, though – except for the mains cable which I kept getting snagged around the hose! Advice: Keep the box and look at the pictures around the box until you’ve put it all together.

The design is pretty clever in that it allows sucking (via the connection on the main barrel) which will suck wet or dry, and blowing which is via the connection on the top ‘motor’ unit. This means that the blown air has passed through the filter – which is a good thing if you are working in a dusty environment anyway.

Tools-wise it is well equipped, and the Nilfisk build quality seems pretty good – only time will tell if it durable in use, though.

So the only let down is the sucking power. It’s not bad – and is certainly good enough for cleaning the boot of a car etc – but for something that will presumably be used in a mucky ‘industrial’ environment (or your garage etc) I’d have hoped for a bit more.

Despite having a reliable Henry for so many years, there’s only so many straps of duct tape that keep it going.

I need vacuum for my woodshop as I’m constantly working with MDF lately and need alot of dust clearing each day.

The Nilfisk is larger than my Henry although weight wise is pretty much the same. It feels sturdy and strong but easy enough to move around without much effort.

The suction is pretty good, it takes up plenty of MDF dust without choking up and other general mess from the work area. It feels like the suction is slightly better than my old Henry but the Henry is knocking on a bit now age wise.

Then vacuum is also a wet vacuum but I haven’t had chance to try that side of it. It’s capacity is decent enough and it won’t fill up too fast which is useful.

Quality wise I’m impressed, it’s well made and feels like it will last and take alot of use. I think the price is fair enough for this type of vacuum and I’m more than happy for it to replace my older one.

I bought one of these from MachineMart over ten years ago for my workshop. It rarely got used in the workshop as it was constantly being borrowed for housework. I’ve now bought another vacuum for indoors and have my workshop vacuum back! I’m still using the same filter that came with it, and I’ve never bought a bag. I wash the filter with slightly pressurised water from a hosepipe regularly, and it’s just starting to show its age now – but it still does the job. I use the hose to avoid having to breathe in the large amount of dust the filter traps. The only problem is that you have to thoroughly dry the filter before using it again for dry vacuuming as otherwise the dust will stick and clog the filter and the suction will disappear – so don’t leave it until you want to use the vacuum to clean the filter – unless your going to be sucking water, that is.

It is horrendously noisy compared to the new lower-powered vacuums, but then it does suck like a good ‘un. The rigid tube split the first time she-whose-name-shall-not-be-mentioned used it, but that was because she didn’t push it fully into place. I ‘fixed’ it with some gaffer tape. As mentioned by others, the power of the vacuum mirrors that of any power tool being used with it. Okay for on my lathe, but when using a variable speed drill for low-speed power sanding, it’s best to just turn the vacuum on manually or you’ll get too little suction.

I paid a lot less for mine than they cost now, but that can largely be explained by the drop in the value of the pound. At least it’s got the right EU colours.

I’m now in the process of attaching it to a cyclone separator so that 90% of my wood shavings and dust end up in a separate collector before reaching the vacuum – meaning a lot less filter cleaning, I hope.

  56. Anonymous says:

The vacuum is good but accessories are rubbish. Hose is short, plastic tools are flimsy and cable length is not great. Crazy because other Nilfisk models are great ie VP300 series which I also have. Needed a wet and dry but really disappointed with the quality of hose etc. Will have to buy a better set separately, not what you want to do with a new machine. Hope Nilfisk will wake up and supply a better quality set of tools with a longer hose and cable. Not recommended

Very good powerful Hoover! I needed something that would clean all the bits my two toddlers leave around the house without blocking and need to change the bag very often! It’s very loud, but that’s what you get with this type of hoovers. Taking one start off, because of the tube which is very cheaply made and actually broke after few weeks I think the metal one would be definitely better!

Golden Review Award: 14 From Our UsersI wanted a reasonably compact ‘shop’ vac with a decent amount of power, and this hit a nice balance of price / power and size.

Very powerful vacuum. Works well in wet and dry modes. A bit of a hassle having to add or remove the bag when changing between wet and dry, but this is the same in all types of wet and dry vacuum.

In wet mode, with no bag, the top section detaches completely via 2 clips, so the lower bin can be removed for rinsing or cleaning. The whole lower section is plastic so really easy to clean.

The housing around the filter can get a bit messy when using in wet mode, more splash guards would be ideal.

The power socket is great, although the suction is lower when drawing power from this socket – I presume that this isn’t directly linked to the amount of power used by the socket, and is just lower to keep current draw below a total of 13A. The socket says max power usage is 1800w – I was only using a 350w multitool. There was plenty of suction to clear dust when sanding.
In Mode 2, the vacuum only starts when the device connected to the socket is activated.

Being able to blow air back across the filter also helps shift any dust that collects when running in wet mode without a bag.

Part of my reason for purchasing this vacuum was to try and construct a low-cost gutter vacuum.
With 8 0.5m metal extension tubes (plus 32mm to 25mm adapter):
Spares2go Silver Extension Rod Set for Nilfisk Vacuum Cleaner (32mm, 3 Rod Set)
and pivoting dust head to reach down into the gutter:
32mm or 35mm Universal Vacuum Cleaner Accessory Set – 8 Pc Crevice Upholstery Brush Tool Cleaning Kit Free 2 Year Warranty
I was able to clear wet and dry leaf matter and moss from our gutters, that were in a desperate need of a clean

    I would recommend this product.

Works very well — lots of suction. Used it to suck up brine from a water softener, no problem (filters removed). Comes with one bag filter and cylinder accordion filter. I use it without the bag filter. I LOVE the blower feature, which can be used to clean off its own cylinder filter. I also love the electrical receptacle which allows, e.g., my belt sander to turn on the shop vac when I pull the trigger. This feature is too sensitive to be useful with my Handibot because the Handibot’s computer draws enough current to turn on the vacuum even without the router turned on. Attachments are pretty good quality, though a little hard to unclip. Removing the top is very easy with two clips that always work. A cord retractor would have been worth the extra money I think. My model lacks this.

Our second hoover – best on the market in our opinion.

Good suction in both cleaning and dust extraction. Poor quality hose connections, adaptor for dust extraction doesn’t fit most tool extraction systems, needs other adopters or modification with hoses or duct tape etc. Noisy machine

Bought this for a building project and it has stood up to all I’ve thrown at it. The extendable tubes do feel a little flimsy but 18 months on a building site and they are still going strong. The blow function has come in handy a couple of times. The power take off point that automatically switches the vacuum on when attached to a power tool is very useful. The built in filter is good but does clog up if sucking up a lot of dust but is easy enough to clean. The bag filters are a bit expensive. I’ve not tried using it as a wet vacuum yet but sure it will perform well.

Bought as a gift for my dad who is always making something. He has reported that it works very well when connected to his power tools. The auto on-off feature is a blessing as no need to remember to turn it on before pulling the trigger on the tools

Very good vacuum cleaner – so why only 4 stars? Because the instructions are very poor, so I was faced with doing a lengthy detective job to understand where all the bits went and what they did. “Could do better, Nilfisk”

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersGreat bit of kit. If you can stand to be different then get one of these . It doesn’t look like a household cleaner, its better and costs a whole lot less. It is also great for DIY.

This vacuum is well worth the money. It has cleared up brick dust, plaster and even small pieces of tile. If you take care of the hose tubes as they are a little weak the hoover will be perfect for you also.

Love the power tool takeoff point. No more forgetting to switch on the vacuum when using your power tool, and the workshop will stay relatively dust free……..great !!!! Really pleased with this purchase…….

Golden Review Award: 32 From Our UsersHad our Multi 20 for a year now.

    The Good points –
VERY powerful suction. Picks up building work debris and kids mess no problem
Massive Cloth bag. A little fiddly to change and make sure you get a cloth replacement – paper bag is useless.

    The Bad points
Ours came with a stupidly short cable – 4m
There is no real cable tidy system, at least not a good one
The tools are shockingly poor. The Plastic elbow to plastic extension joint will always fail –
invest in some metal replacements. And be warned – tools are 35mm not the usual 32mm

All in all, if you can be bothered replacing the tools (and you will need to) then this is a very good vacuum. We’ve always had Miele but they are 3x the price and they would choke on the stuff the Nilfisk picks up.
IMO Miele are not as reliable as they once were – despite what Which Magazine says

    Recommended, with the above caveats.
