Super powerful been doing smoothies, date caramel, all variety of stuff super love it !
After the delivery drama I was eager to test this out because it’s my first Ninja and I wanted to see what the fuss was about.
It’s a powerful blender and we have enjoyed using it for smoothies primarily. It has good suction feet that stay in place while blending.
However it’s VERY loud and that alone keeps me from enjoying it more that I thought I would.
It took me a while to pick the “right” blender, and I couldn’t be happier with my decision. It’s great for personal use.
I’ve used it to make smoothies, pure, and soups (only after it is has cooled).
The self blending option let’s you walk away from it if you think it’s too loud. It doesn’t bother me at all.
Great blender, replaced an older nutri ninja i had for 5 years.
We found at our cost that with blenders, you get what you pay for. More than happy to recommend.
As I have one of these and use it most days for Smoothies & for me lots of soups my Granddaughter asked her mum to see if I used it often so bought her one great product and lots if use . Well
I been searching forever on Amazon to find something to make nut milk and also hummus.
And every review I found never said if you can do nut milk or not!! Well this has made me soya milk, almond milk and even hummus. Obviously you need a nut bag to get it like the picture. But it breaks the nut down really well! I soaked my nuts for over 8 hours before blending. This is very powerful and feel so glad to finally save money making my own milk!!
Also I have cut up some celery and mixed it into a smoothie. I will say it blended the celery really well but there is a tiny tiny bit of crunchiness but I am Sooo not bothered at all. So it doesn’t smooth it out but close enough. I’ve yet to make more green smoothies.
The only downside is. If you have very sensitive ears to sound this is really loud . But I am not bothered!
I am happy with this purchase and I am in no doubt when I make more green smoothies it will cut it up good will a tiny crunchiness but not what it would be if you used a regular blender. So can’t complain!!
I bought this to save money. And I’m glad I did as from the almond pulp I can make almond flour!
All around good product!!
very versatile, love the recipe book that comes with it, easy to clean, and most importantly strong enough to mix and blend frozen items.
We use the blender a lot and have gone through 2 blenders a year but this blender is easy to use, blends quickly and smoothly, love i
Bought for my daughter for Christmas, she absolutely loves it, powerful and blends her fruit well, also good with ice and she used it for veg to make soup. Very happy daughter.
Have tried several different blenders but the Ninja is in a different league
Again bought for daughter-in-law who loves it and uses this one every day, too, for all the family. I think it is easy to clean as she didn’t mention it isn’t.
This is literally amazing! and wish I’d invested in this sooner. my last blender was the Nutri bullet which I loved but this is literally amazing and wish I’d found it sooner. very sturdy, blends literally anything and easy to clean even with the bowl attachment. highly recommended.
another great quality kitchen item from Ninja. makes the smoothest smoothies
Good looking and low profile.
Very powerful and with it noisy, but I suppose that is to be expected. Rubber suction cups on the base isolate any vibration and prevent movement during use.
I have seen comments about the lid containing the blade can be difficult to clean where the seal is, I find that just keeping it blade down so that any liquid does not run into the seal and rinsing straight away prevents any problems.
Overall I am pleased with this purchase.
Very happy with it had a nutribullet before this is better much more powerful but is loude
Very pleased with my Ninja – yes it’s noisy but it’s a very powerful motor. I turn it on and walk away
This is very good blender. Wanted something which can help with my breakfast vegan smoothie without any bits. I tried making smoothie with different combinations of fruits and Vegs and it turned out good every time. Will try to blend tomatoes for my soup and curries too. It looks perfect for quick blends. It’s easy to clean and superb quality product. A happy individual here. Highly recommended!
Thank you
Amazing – this really blasts through so much and makes for a great kitchen tool. Smoothies, soups, purees etc – perfect.
Good quality, well made and great value. Highly recommended.
We upgraded to the Ninja foodi power blender because we love making smoothies with frozen fruit and our previous blender was not blending the fruit enough, leaving lumps and bits from the berries.
This blender leaves no lumps or bits. It’s great for making smoothies. We haven’t used the bowl function yet for making things like humus and peanut butter but am more than happy with the product for what we need it for!
Mixers very efficiently with no fuss the only thing it is a little loud like a jet engine in the kitchen LOL.
Product feels robust and certainly does a good job. Nice piece of kit infarc
I use for making smoothies and it does a great job.
This is by far the best blender I have ever used. All blenders I have used in the past take about half an hour to blend the fruit and even then, it’s never blended properly. This blends it like no other. I’ve always been one to buy cheap, but you buy cheap and you buy twice. I’m so happy with my purchase.
I will add pics at a later time
It’s brilliant cuts through ice
Makes delicious drinks
Bit noisy
I wanted a blender and food processor to chop veggies and make dough in and this is bang on the money. It’s so incredibly powerful and does a good job chopping and blending. It’s a compact design with only three attachments rather than the many accessories you seem to get with a normal food processor. It’s made the best milkshakes and smoothies – incredibly smooth in texture and no lumps. The only downside is it’s quite noisy, it sounds and looks like it’s about to take off but that’s a small price to pay for a brilliant blender.
Excellent blender, doesn’t take up too much real estate on the kitchen counter and does a great job everytime. I blend frozen fruits, ice, make smoothies, sorbets and more. The one issue I have, is the thing is LOUD, it’s as loud as a circular saw for instance. So have to mark a star down for that, because if there was someone asleep in the house in a morning and I wanted a smoothie I’d definitely think twice about putting this bad boy on. But overall, highly recommended.
It’s so powerful! I love making smoothie bowls and hummus dips and using frozen fruit and this deals with everything in a breeze! Makes everything so velvety, really really good.
Holey beans other reviews weren’t lying when the said it was loud
It was a present for my son. Bought the last one 2015 and he was ready for a new one. It’s was used everyday for smoothies etc and has lasted well. Hope the new one will last as long.
Been using for a month now – making smoothies and smoothie bowls almost every day, even made some good crushed ice drinks when the weather was hot. Very happy with the product overall, the unit is a little noisy but it is also very powerful and copes with any frozen fruit etc easily. The recipe book is good enough to give you some starting points and get you going. We’ve used the unit to make savoury spreads and quick pate too, it’s very versatile. The only negative point is the size of the cup which comes with the unit, it’s just about big enough for two people but we ended buying a lager one separately, which was another 20.
Another tip I would give is if you are crushing icy drinks on a hot day, don’t tighten the seal really tight by hand before blending as it will contract even more with the cold and you won’t be able to unscrew! We found that out the hard way!
Really happy with this and it will be very well used.
Absolutely love this blender , so easy to use , and it blends a dream
Initially felt a little nervous spending so much on a blender but I am glad I did.
I am in love with the preset functions and so impressed with the quality.
Would highly recommend to anyone confused about which product/company to go with.
THIS IS THE ONE!
I wanted a blender to make smoothies and smoothie bowls with frozen fruit. The Ninja Smoothie is perfect for the job, powering through frozen fruit in less than a minute!! Easy to work, clean and use!! I’m super happy with my purchase!!
Absolutely love this blender! Worth every penny. I spent a lot of time looking at reviews and kept putting off the purchase for fear of disappointment, but now wish that I’d bought it months ago. Looks great in the kitchen, compact and modern. A bit noisy if I’m honest, but the benefits make this very easy to overlook and it was running for such a short amount of time. Top class product. Highly recommended.
This machine is fantastic, I’m hugely into thick smoothies for breakfast and my previous machine just cant cope with the consistency, it overheats and shuts off.
I use the jug for the large super thick smoothies, the cup is great for my sons protein and vitamin smoothie/shake and I’m excited to make some hummus in the smallest container. It was expensive but I feel its worth every penny. I highly recommend this blender.
I own a few high end kitchen appliances inc a larger capacity, very high powered blender (2600w) which I use for larger volume smoothies, nut butters, smoothie bowls etc but I find it too large to make just a single portion & always end up with loads leftover.
I wanted something smaller that I could use to make just a single portion & after much deliberation between this and another well known brand I opted for the Ninja. I’m so impressed – the auto functions are great & ive just made the best green smoothie I’ve ever drunk. It’s packed full of spinach & smooth as silk. The instructions/guide are really easy to follow & I love that I can push a button and get on with something else without having to keep an eye on the time or switch it off. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this to anyone looking for a really good quality blender that looks good in the kitchen.
Also, other reviews have commented on how noisy it is but it’s no worse than the other blender I have and not something I would have even noticed had I not read the other comments.
This product does what it says. It fantastic for a single smoothie. Highly recommended.
OMG I love this, used for shakes and it makes them sooo smooth.
It is noisy but clearly powerful. Mine has the tendancy to warm up the contents of the container. A chilled liquid will become warm unless you put some ice in. Other than that everything is super smooth
So happy with this machine 😉 easy to use and looks elega
This is an awesome piece of kit, bought to make smoothies, and other general foodie tasks for the family. Seems very heavy duty and can blitz things in seconds whereas my last blender would struggle. Worth the extra cost, good quality, easy to clean.
Love love love this. Blends so well and it looks nice and neat In the kitche
This is a compact powerful and well built machine. Easy and quick to mix just about everything in it. Not all parts are dishwasher safe! You will need need long nexk kitchen brush to clean it out. Only issue I have had with it is that the suction cups are meant for it to stay ” fixed” in one position on worktop and I like the work tops to be clean and bare so its a struggle to take it off ever time.
I have been using it several times now since purchase. Usually I don’t post reviews, but it’s great item, worth buying. Very happy with it.
Easy to clean, blends very well, crashes ice without problem. I love the auto IQ programs. A bit loud but what a performer!
Blends better than expected but its very loud!
The washer round the blade attachment needs to be taken out and cleaned at least every other time otherwise you end up with an awful smell thats hard to get rid of. If its going in the dishwasher then it shouldn’t be too bad.
It seems to liquidise pretty much everthing you throw at it and it handles frozen fruit with ease.
Its a great smoothie maker but not the easiest to clean.
Best blender for all round use. Much better than the nurti bullet.
Simple instructions, easy to use, excellent results.Very sharp blades so care needed when washing after use.
My only comment would be it is on the louder side of blenders but luckily because it blitz things so fast, you don’t need to blend for long.
This is amazing. Super fast and blends everything. I make smoothies every morning. So easy and no hassle. Easy to clean. Blends everything very smooth
Really good product, far superior to other brands on the market that I had had before and have broken.
Does the job perfectly. Is very loud, but mixes so quickly it isn’t much of a problem
We ordered this to upgrade our current Ninja personal blender. The smoothie came out lovely and fluffy as you would like it to be but the blender was extremely loud. I make my smoothies in the morning and simply would not be able to start my day right with that level noise first thing in the morning. Had to be returned unfortunately.
Apart from the noise, the design is lovely, it looks like durable and would likely make lots of great smoothies.
Small portable powerful blender. Maybe a little bit noisy. But smoothie makes excellent quality.
I have been using this every day, sometimes several times a day to make anything from protein shakes, to smoothie bowls or ice creams. Easy to use, easy to clean. Another amazing Ninja product!
In love with our Ninja Foodi Power! It crushes ice with ease, blends well without any hidden lumps or bits left and I’ve found it really easy to clean if you rinse it straight after use. Down side- yes it is loud but the longest setting is one minute and the noise really is justified by it’s power. Overall a 5* product.
After having serveral, low end blender/smoothie makers, all of which died in a puff of magic blue smoke, we bought the ninja foodie, does the job, smooth smoothies, no blue smoke
Does exactly what it says love the product use it everyday for healthy smoothies and even the kid’s use it on a daily basis for shakes and smoothies
Great blender, had numerous other top brand blenders before but this is on another level.
Easy to use (yes it’s a bit noisy, but that’s the price you pay for getting the job done properly!), great to have different settings & containers as this gives more control over the texture/density.
We use it mostly for smoothies and making our own baby pure, will defo try making some of our own dips & no doubt some frozen margaritas in the summe
This is by far the strongest blender I’ve ever owned. I remember buying a bullet blender in the past and being a little disappointed.
The ninja exceeds my expectations. Admittedly, it is a little loud(!) but I believe it could blend anything I need (within reason -lol).
I like the two different style cups, and the twisting action on the base of one of the cups is a clever way of preventing dry ingredients from clumping.
Ninja blender is super powerful and very comfortable as saves space and is suitable for multiple use. We do smoothies for power and energy before exercising. Can do very nice mash potatoes wither with potatoes either with carrot mash or any other veggie mash depending of dish . Easy to build it up following the instructions, very detailed instructions with idea how to use it . Easy to clean , suitable for dish washer too
This item is AMAZING why coz it breaks down nuts compared to nutribullet. Iv gone through Nutribullets up until now and i promise this machine is one of a kind, my nutribullets never broke nuts into always letft bits
Wasn’t sure what to expect when I received this to try. I’d heard mixed reviews about Ninja products, many folks raved about them, but others really didn’t like them. But when I thought about it many of the negatives were for the “Air Fryers”.
It comes all packaged up in a nice colourful box with a lot of the information you’ll need on the outside. Inside you’ll find the following.
*Base Unit; This is fairly compact 17 cm x 17 cm (just over 6″ x 6″) and really solid. Most of the body is metal & houses the 1100 Watts motor and weighs in at 3.64 kilograms (14lbs). On the bottom of the unit are four suckers to stop the unit wandering off of the worktop during use. Comes with a UK plug and the easy to operate controls are on the front.
*Hybrid Edge Blades Assembly; I’ve found a lot of blender blades aren’t really that sharp, they rely on brute force to blend your food. Not only are these genuinely sharp (I managed to cut my finger when carelessly putting it on the draining rack) but there’s a lot of them, four pairs (eight blades) whizzing ’round when in use. So not only do they chop more, faster, but their design actively pulls food towards them like a propeller. This means that you don’t tend to get the cavitation voids even with very viscous liquids/pastes.
*Power Nutri Cup with Spout Lid; This is the cup for slightly thinner foods like smoothies. 700 ml (1.23 pints) in size with measuring graduations moulded into the plastic (so the wont wear off) & a MAX Fill Line to avoid spillage. Threaded at the top to allow attachment of the Blades Assembly, Spout Lid or the Storage Lid.
*Power Nutri Bowl with Storage Lid; 400ml (0.7 pint) in volume with “Power Paddles” This one is meant for thicker liquids & pastes like hummus, pat & nut butters. I was sceptical about the “Power Paddles” being able to do the job. You fill the bowl, put on the blades, insert into the base & turn on and continuously turn the paddles by hand to stop food sticking to the sides and force it down into the blades. Though I didn’t think it would work, work they did and I’ve made really thick things like pistachio butter, frozen yogurt & peppered mackerel pat so far with no problems. I did think that washing them up would be a pain but usually a hand wash in warm soapy water is all they need. Did find that with nut butters is was a good idea to fill with water to the top of the paddles with water & a drop or two of dish soap, assemble the unit and whizz it on mix while turning the blades. The dish soap breaks down the nut oils and the power of the machine loosens anything stuck where it shouldn’t be. (Seemingly the cup, bowl, lids & blades can be popped on the top level of the dishwasher – but I don’t have one so can’t attest to that.)
*As well as the hardware you get a Quick Start Guide & a little book of Recipe Ideas; These explain the use & care of the machine and some good ideas on what to make with it and which Cup or Bowl to use to make what. There are recipes for everything from fruit/veg Smoothies or Power Bowls, to pancake batter, guacamole, nut butters, fruit or herb sauces, pesto or curry sauces. This will get you started in understanding what it can do/make and you can tweek & use your imagination from there.
Its not just a case of press & hold ’till you think its done with this machine; though you can if you wish. There is a display to let you know time left. You have a “Start/Stop” button & a quick “Pulse” button. Below these are the “Auto IQ” program buttons which will stop & start the motor to get the best results and thoroughly blend everything.
*Blend; for fruit smoothies & milkshakes.
*Crush; for ice based drinks & green smoothies.
*Mix; for Smoothie Bowls & frozen yogurt.
*Powermix; for houmous & pat.
In living with the machine for a month so far I’ve really enjoyed it. It looks nice in the kitchen and doesn’t take up much space, so it lives by the kettle rather than be stored away like my big blender. I’ve found it quite easy to use and clean so I’ve been using it daily. My one negative about it is that its very loud. It made me jump the first time I started it. My next door neighbours have a new baby & although they say they’ve never heard it I’ve changed my breakfast time. I’m usually up and about by 5 am and don’t want to run it at that time in case I wake their baby. So I eat a little later now. (Though I could blend stuff up the evening before if I wanted too). My usual routine now is to make mix some oats with milk and store it in a jar/Nutri Cup in the fridge overnight then add any fruit I want in the morning and blend it then. This is also a benefit as the power/friction in the machine can warm up the contents slightly on a heavy mix, so everything being pre-chilled means that it stays nice & cold.
It’s not the cheapest blender on the market. At 99 some may find it pricey, but if you’re going to use it daily you want something that’s easy to use, can do a large variety of things and will last a long long time. Going by the quality of the components, the power of the motor and how its been thought out I think this will be on my counter-top for many years to come, and while doing so encourage me to eat a healthier breakfast as well as give me quick access to a blender for sauces/pastes for my cooking rather than haul out the big blender from the cupboard which is also a pain to clean.
So far it’s been incredible off and made some of the best movies I’ve ever tasted. Sturdy and very intelligent. Simple to use. I’m really happy with it.
Pro- best smoothie ever!
Con- Just make sure to hold on to your surfaces as it makes a MASSIVE amount of movement with that strong motor!
A few years ago I bought a Vitamix blender but I was disappointed in it really. I could never get smoothies quite right despite following online tutorials and the recipe book to the letter. It did not destroy things like seeds as people enthused and everything turned out runny. Maybe it was user error and maybe I was the wrong market for it, but what’s the point of a gadget that I find too tricky to use? Also it was hard to get the food out and clean if you made things like peanut butter. I had been thinking of going back to a standard personal blender for some time and this cropped up so I thought I would give it a go, plus I had been impressed with the Ninja Foodi I had bought a few months ago and was interested in trying another of their products.
So, now to the actual review of the product!
I am so pleased with it. IMO it blends just as well as the Vitamix but keeps everything thick and creamy using the blend function and you can make nice juice style drinks using Crush. This setting also blends kale just as good as the Vitamix did. The Mix and Powermix settings which use the bowl make great smoothie bowls and peanut butter. The only thing I would say is that I wish they had made the top paddles on the bowl removable so it is easier to get the food out and clean it but it is no where as hard as trying to get it out from under metal blades.
So to sum up, for me this is a much much better buy than the Vitamix was (which has gone on Ebay!). It is a fraction of the price and in my opinion does the job just as well if not better.
This machine is super loud, good luck trying to sneak out the house with this one.
I think Ninja should rename this Foodi Power Nutri Blender to the Ninja Pocket Rocket because it’s a very modest little (rocket-shaped) device that completely pulverises almost anything you put into it. It’s extremely powerful and really quite noisy but then it works so quickly you don’t have to suffer the jet-engine whine it produces for too long. The motor base is smaller than most blender bases tend to be, including Ninja’s, but it packs a punch – so much in fact that it needs little sucker-feet underneath to stop it launching itself across your worktop.
You get two containers, one for blending smoothies and the other for making nut butters or desserts, and they both share the same blade base. There are also two more lids, one plain leakproof lid and one with a flip-top spout so once you’ve blended your smoothie you can swap that for the blade base and drink straight from the beaker. As a smoothie maker this Ninja does what you’d expect and blends everything to a tasty smooth texture in a minute or so. Even frozen fruit or ice cubes get obliterated and you can even use it to make instant fruity ice cream or frozen yoghurt by adding frozen fruit to custard or yoghurt. I tend to use it to mix up protein shakes and it’s perfect for that, no lump stands a chance.
The other beaker has an inbuilt stirrer which you rotate by hand while the blender is working to make sure all the nuts or fruits get evenly blended. That works pretty well but it’s a chore to scoop out anything gloopy, like nut butters, which get stuck around the plastic stirrer blades and it’s another chore to wash it out afterwards. However, although it’s a chore to clear out it’s still totally worth the effort because it does such a good job of making nut butter and so quickly. You simply add about 200g of your favourite nuts together with a spoonful of oil and a shake of salt (optional) and then attach the beaker and push the button. You use the MIX program and that takes about 2 minutes and varies the pulses and speeds as it goes. Throughout that process you manually spin the stirrer blades on top and they supposedly make sure all the nuts get buttered. That said it doesn’t actually seem like the stirrer blades do very much but when the program is finished and you open the beaker you get a lovely crunchy-style nut butter which seems to be very evenly smushed. If you like very smooth nut butter then it might be possible to keep blending but I haven’t tried that and TBH I doubt if it would work very well – maybe if you add extra oil to slacken the mix it might be effective. Personally I love crunchy style nut butters and this Ninja makes them better than any device I’ve ever tried before and I’m looking forward to experimenting with different nut mixes and maybe adding other ingredients. Yes, I mean chocolate.
That smaller beaker is really handy for chopping up other things too but you have to be aware of how powerful and fast it is, it really takes no prisoners. For example I wanted to make breadcrumbs for a topping on a dish I was making and so I put a single slice of frozen bread in and tapped the PULSE button and in an instant it was pulverised to fine breadcrumbs, literally in about a second. If you wanted to chop things more roughly or coarsely then this little blender might be overkill but if you want to blend things to a smooth texture it’s amazing. It’s small and neat enough to be left sitting out on your worktop and the beakers are easy to assemble and use even if the stirrer-beaker is a pain to clean afterwards. It’s certainly quite loud and noisy but it’s a great little whizzer.
This is the second Ninja product I have owned (although this one I have received for free as part of the Vine review programme), and just like the previous one, this is a really impressive bit of kit.
The first thing I like about this is how compact it is, certainly compared to the KitchenAid Blender I own. So it takes up much less space on your worktop. The two blender cups are a good size, the smaller one is suitable for smoothies, hummus, and pates, and the large cup is perfect for soups and making a jug of frozen margaritas.
I have so far tested this in making two products, a single batch of hummus, and a large batch of frozen margaritas. First off, the hummus was really straightforward, and as I would hope in any blender (regardless of manufacturer) it coped perfectly, although I was surprised how noisy the motor is compared to both my KitchenAid, and my Kenwood MultiPro. The chickpeas turned to hummus in a matter of seconds. As for the frozen margaritas, this too was made super-quick. The Ninja out-performed the KitchenAid in my opinion, as I often have to shake the jug on the KitchenAid to get everything properly blended, whereas I didn’t have to do this with the hummus or the frozen cocktails. However, the noise is much louder than both my other small appliances, and that is why I have knocked off one star, but this is such a minor issue.
The 4 auto-iq levels and the control panel is easy to use. I have very slight arthritis in my hands but found the controls and the locking mechanisms easy to use.
As for cleaning, it is so easy, the jugs can go into the dishwasher, and the base is easy to wipe clean.
As nearly half the price of my KitchenAid Blender, I have to say this is a bargain. It remains to be seen how robust the Ninja Blender is, but my other Ninja Blender has lasted a long time (it is now with my eldest son who is at university). Therefore I can really recommend this to you.
This has swiftly become my favourite kitchen gadget. Although I already had a food processor, a hand whisk and a jug blender, this machine has really carved out a place of its own in my kitchen and gets used almost daily.
If you’re considering getting one, you need to understand that it’s not a blender/liquidiser for making soups or other hot dishes. It doesn’t have a large capacity, and it’a not for blending hot liquids. What it’s great at is producing fresh and healthy smoothies, shakes, dips and spreads – everything from a breakfast banana milkshake to a fresh berry smoothie to a bowl of home-made hummus, guacamole or peanut butter.
The box contains a base unit and a blade assembly unit which can screw into either of two blenders – a large one (Nutri Cup) for shakes and extractions or a smaller one (Nutri Bowl) for thick smoothies or dips/spreads. The base unit has a number of smart programs you can use with the specific recipes in the accompanying booklet (obviously you can adapt these to suit your tastes!) called blend, crush, mix & powermix. You can also operate the unit manually or “pulse” briefly as necessary. The smaller Nutri Bowl has a “power paddle” which you can rotate manually as the device is working – this is a great addition, as when blending something thick or viscous, it helps stop the contents getting stuck at the top as the blades do their work underneath. Both have lids – one with a pouring spout – which you can screw on after removing the blade assembly, so you can mix your drink or spread and take it with you if you like.
I made several recipes from the accompanying recipe book – two in the large NutriCup (banana milkshake and Ginger Orange Extract) and two in the smaller NutriBowl (Green Power Bowl and Raspberry Frozen Yogurt) and I also plan to use it to make home-made slush puppies, hummus and other dips and spreads. It’s very versatile.
The blade assembly, both blender bowls and lids are all dishwasher safe (top shelf only) but it’s also quite simple to wash them quickly in the sink if you’re in a hurry. One note of caution, though – don’t fill the cups too full (there is a maximum marked on both containers) or you may find they’ll leak while you’re blending.
I missed out on the Nutri blend phenomenon so the chance to try this product was welcome. I found it very easy to use with a good selection of recipes in the booklet which was included with the machine. The machine is very powerful indeed and made very short work of a mix of banana, yoghurt and frozen fruits. It has a number of different programme settings each of which produced really good results. My first smoothie was a bit too thin but I tweaked the various amounts and the second one had a thicker consistency but was still a drink rather than a desert.
The main mixing containers are dishwasher safe which made cleaning very easy.
From what I know of kit in this category this also seems to be very competitively priced. So all in all I think this is a great piece of kitchen equipment.
This is really big on power, yet has a small footprint, which is essential when space is an issue. It has 4 built in programmes, as well as a start/stop button and pulse button. It comes with a tall drinks cup and a smaller smoothie bowl cup or sauces & dips ect. The smaller cup has two paddles inside, which you twist during the cycle, ensuring everything is pushed towards the blades, giving you a silky smooth consistency. It also comes with a storage lid and a sippy cup lid. This mean machine blends everything you put into it including ice and nuts, leaves and seeds. It’s so simple to use even a non gadgety person like me can get perfect results everytime. It is very loud though, as are most blenders this powerful. I absolutely love it!!!
This is an excellent smoothie maker, it really blows others out of the waters. I had bullet before which was okay but smoothies didn’t come out as smooth as this one especially using berries, I found that I ended up spitting out a lot of the pips but the ninja is great hardly taste any seeds or pips blends the ingredients incredibly well and doesn’t take long. It is very loud and noisy so be careful at what time you use it.
This is an impressive blender, it looks excellent quality and is supplied with a cup and bowl attachment which are also dishwasher proof. The quick start guide will get you going and it is also supplied with a recipe booklet.
I photographed this as I unboxed it and the suckers on the base of the unit are so strong it sucked itself to the floor and was difficult to get off. Sadly it doesn’t stick to your standard kitchen bench as easily, I think if you have quartz or marble you will be fine. My bench is textured so it doesn’t hold as well, I do have an induction hob which I could use as a surface should I need to.
The display screen is self explanatory and easy to use, the unit is graphite in colour with a shiny stainless steel base with the word ninja embossed into it. It’s definitely smart enough to have on your kitchen bench permanently alongside your other usual kitchen gadgets.
For its maiden voyage I decided to create something from the recipe booklet provided. I love smoothies and am always looking for new taste combinations. All of the recipes look delicious and I will work my way through them all but for the purposes of this review I chose to try Sunset Refresher. I prepared all of the ingredients and put them into the cup in the order listed, it was a bit of a wiggle to get the lid on and I had to push down the ingredients. I videoed my first time use, the instructions said to use ‘blend’ but there’s also a stop start button so I wasn’t sure if I needed to select ‘blend’ then press start. Well you don’t, it starts when you press blend and I got an almighty shock as it was louder than I expected! You can actually see me jump in the video! It blended the smoothie so quickly, it remained stable on my bench and had no problems with frozen whole strawberries. The smoothie was delicious, it makes one serving but I shared it with my husband and if you were having it alongside breakfast this would actually be enough.
I am super interested to try the bowl and make hummus. What is unique about this blender is its ability to stop thick creations sticking, you do this by twisting the ‘power paddle’ which basically scrapes the inside of the cup dropping the mixture back onto the blade as it’s blending. I’ve done this with the cup when it’s not attached and it seems really straightforward and pretty genius if I’m honest.
In summary I think this is a powerful piece of kit, it is versatile and very quick. It is however very very loud but I guess you can’t have one thing without the other and blending frozen fruit is never going to be a quiet job. I wouldn’t hesitate to purchase again and am happy to recommend to others.
This is a great blender, very powerful and so much easier to use than my previous blender.
It has very good suction pads on the base, so good that I have trouble removing it from the worktop, it will not move when you are using it.
I have made milkshakes (without ice) and my own peanut butter. The milkshake uses the power Nutri cup and you use the power Nutri bowl for the peanut butter. It has a power paddle that you need to manual twist while it is doing it’s blending process. This wasn’t much effort at all and it did make a nice smooth (ish) peanut butter, just how I like it, you can add more or less oil to get the right consistency for you. The great thing with making your own peanut butter is that you know the ingredients and can use the oil of your choice.
It has Auto-IQ programme buttons which makes it really easy to make milkshakes, smoothies, sauces, houmous and pates.
The machine doesn’t take up much room on your worktop and I am leaving mine on the worktop as I will use it every day.
My only criticism is that it is very noisy and you couldn’t make a sneaky milkshake without the whole household hearing you lol Is something to take into account if you want to make an early morning smoothie while the children are asleep!
I can’t believe I have gone so long without having a ninja blender. I have other similar products from other brands and they worked fine, and I thought “they are all the same anyway right?”…..wrong!
This is amazing. It’s quicker than others I have used, very consistent….consistencies, a little loud (as you’d expect) but the preset programmes and the time shown on the front are super helpful. And unlike some others than means I can set it up and leave it to work while I do something else rather than stand and watch it or have to hold it down to activate.
I love the power nutri bowl, the dial on the top to keep the contents moving is a brilliant idea. Previously I either couldn’t make thicker drinks/sauces etc…or else I had to keep stopping the blender and shaking to redistribute ingredients, almost always ended with little chunks that didn’t get blended.
Good size cup for smoothies/shakes with a comfortable sports top lid. The lids!…great seal, the screw in to the top of the cups rather than over them which just makes for a better seal and less mess, none of that little dribble down the size when you unscrew it after it’s been shaken up a little.
Doesn’t take up huge amounts of counter space, quick and easy to put together and rinse off the blades when you’re done (perfect for making smoothies before work in the morning, done in 5 minutes) and strong suction cups and grip feet on the bottom to hold it steady while it does it’s thing.
And a nice selection of starter recipes in the accompanying booklet.
Everyone should own one, you absolutely won’t regret it.
I’ve been using ninja products since few months now and they never failed my expectations. The two in one food blender is a worthy addition for the summer when the smoothies and juices are a must have. The blender arrived with a pair of jars for different purposes. The longer jar is to prepare juices and the shorter one is to make thicker puree prep. I’ve been using a different styled product and these are twice powerful than those.
The blades of the jars are well designed in way that it can easily pulverise the content within a short span of time.
I’ve had my old ninja for a fair few years now but just don’t use it often as you need to stand and press the cup down and can only do it in 30 second bursts. This new one you can press a button and your smoothie will be ready in 60 seconds.
A couple of noticeable upgrades from my original one. Firstly, there’s an extra blade so it chops through fruit and ice quicker. The base whilst wider than my old ninja has suckers on the bottom which stuck firm to my worktop. I filled the smoothie tumbler with a double quantity of smoothie which was almost at the max fill and in 60 seconds I had a perfectly blended drink.
great for making healthy shake, dressings or dips. easy to clea
This is very easy to use!
It’s good for about two smoothies at a time.
You plug in then:
1. Put milk in the large cup
2. Add other ingredients like fruit and oats
3. Then very firmly twist on the lid with blades
4. Then turn upside down and place onto the base- then twist really well- so the display shows OO – then choose your setting- for example blend- and it will blend for one minute- it’s then a really smooth drink!
5. So you must firmly twist the lid on so it doesn’t leak and firmly twist it into the blender – or it won’t work!
A really good item- easy to clean- just rinse under the tap.
The two cups can be used to take the contents out and about.
You get two extra lids- one with a drinking spout- one that’s just a lid…
Well designed- looks goods- makes a nice smoothie…
Few years ago I wanted to buy smoothie blender and opted in for NutriBullet instead of Ninja.
Now after trying Ninja myself I can say wholeheartedly, I have made a mistake !
Ninja is so much better in my opinion.
The base is more stable as it is wider (it will take slightly more space on your kitchen counter , but not a huge amount more).
Easier to insert cups, and harder to tip them.
The cups – although strong in both products, Ninja cups seem sturdier and stronger somehow.
Motor strength – this Ninja is 1100 w vs NutriBullet 900w . And you can feel the power of Ninja!
Ninja is more competitive on price but doesn’t come with a book (NutriBullet does).
Ninja has multiple functions (thicker or thinner textures , bowl/cup appropriate) . NB only blends.
Both products have dishwasher safe cups.
This product can make dips pt and spread (when using powermix) so if needed you can whip up quick fresh houmous for guests .
On the top of that the product looks very good quality and stylish, no need to hide it in the cupboard, if you have space on the worktops , it will look great right there.
Blender comes with 2 cups:
Small 400 ml – enough to make larg smoothie of about 300 ml
Large 700 ml – enough make 2 large smoothies of about 300 ml each
You also get spout lid for when you’re on the go and storage lid if you made too much or saving later.
Also included small booklet with few receipies , you can build your owns based on these to be honest. Anything goes in terms of blending, so try and taste .
My rating is easy 5*
I would have given more if I could.
And I wish I’ve bought it earlier.
TIP: do not overfill the liquid over the max line , it may overflow and flood your appliance.
Smoothies are best consumed right after preparation.
Great way to making your kids eat geen veggies as they dissappear in redness of berries
Highly recommended
I would buy again and I would recommend.
If you want a blender that’s powerful, nice to look at, sturdy and easy to use and clean then get this machine!
It’s not just the power I like about this blender, it’s the build quality. Everything seems robust and that it’ll last for a long time.
I’ve purposefully reviewed this product empty so you can see how fast those mighty sharp blades spin (look at the comparison between a still and one of the functions being selected!)
You can either manually blend a combo of ingredients or select one of the auto programs that will combine anything you put in the cup within a matter of seconds!
Yet another fantastic product from Ninja! No complaints whatsoever 🙂
This is for cold drinks and spreads or dips only. Sadly you can’t use it for soups, unless you let the liquid cool completely as the powerful motor will end up creating an airlock. There are other combinations by the same manufacturer that include conventional jugs/ food processors, but they don’t seem to be interchangeable with this base.
It had me lost for a while as it needs a powerful twist to lock it and turn on the controls. Then it worked rather impressively. It was pretty easy to clean off stubborn food too. I haven’t tried out the nutribowl yet, but it claims that it can make small batch peanut butter or hummous. I would prefer glass jugs normally. I’m not completely sure how long the plastic will stand up to crushing ice as previous processors have ended up scratched. So, efficient, easy to clean, but means I have to have two motor units out for occasional soups.
I had a type of blender for years until it was damaged by a fall. So decided to get a new 1 and this 1 came up. So got it and have to say it’s really good. I’ve put quite a few things through it as a tester and it did what I needed it to do.
I really do like it. It’s nice and heavy so it won’t fall over which blending everything up. It makes some nice smoothies and drinks and loads of things it can make. It has no end of things to make if you need it too.
Got to give it high marks as it’s an awesome blender.
Giving it 5-5. Just an amazing bit of kit every kitchen should have. Very please and very impressed with it.
